Guild War
"I hope Levy is alright. The doctors said her injuries were bad. Jet and Droy were also in bad condition." Lucy was walking alongside Hinata, both girls stayed behind as most of the other Fairy Tail wizard made their way to Phantom Lord's guild. It was raining, so both girls were under an umbrella.
"I hope so too. I met one of their guild members and that person was vicious. His name is Sasuke Uchiha." Hinata told Lucy about her recent experience with a Phantom Lord member.
"I heard of him. He was said to be taught by Kakashi Hatake and is a prodigy. Is that the same Sasuke Uchiha you met?" Lucy asked her old friend, who nodded.
"Yes. And he would have taken me back to my father by force. If it wasn't for Naruto and the others, I would have stayed as I was forever." Hinata smiled at Lucy. "How about you? Did your relationship with your father improve?"
"No. I also ran way from home." Lucy revealed to Hinata, who expected as much. "I could not live in that house anymore. That man may be my father, but he all he cares about is his business and wealth."
"I understand. I couldn't confront my own father by myself. But I hope you won't have to." Hinata was stopped by a sudden voice.
"Drip. Drip. Drop." A female's voice said as the two girls turned around to see a girl wearing a lighter-coloured blue hair than Wendy's with curls at the bottom and she wore a blue attire complete with a blue umbrella.
"Madame Heartfilia I presume. Please come with us." A strange looking man with a monocle appeared in front of them as well. He moved weirdly. "I am Monsieur Sol of the Element 4. This is Juvia Lockser, also of the Element 4. And we're here for you, Madame Heartfilia."
"Hinata! Run away from here!" Lucy reached out for her keys, but she was hit by a whip made from water, making her drop her keys.
"Our orders are to capture you, Lucy Hearfilia." Juvia walked forward, as did Sol, though the latter used Earth Magic to move. However, Hinata stood in front of Lucy.
"Non. Non. You think that you stand a chance? We are the Element 4, we won't def…Agh!" Sol was smacked and his face hit the solid ground, holding him down. The assailant was none other than Kurama.
'A-A fox with nine tails!?' Juvia has never seen a creature like Kurama before and to easily knock down one of Phantom's top wizards with ease means it was strong.
"Good thing I decided to keep an eye on you. Good thing I kept on eye on you." Kurama then looked at Juvia.
"Kurama!" Both Lucy and Hinata were happy to see him.
"L-Let go of me!" 'I cannot use my magic to escape, he's holding me down with one of his tails!' Sol was too weak to move.
"Hey. You know I could have knocked you out, but I held back quite a lot. And you want Lucy for some reason, so, tell me why?" 'She called Lucy Heartfilia. That name sounds familiar, maybe that's why they want Lucy. Did they start this fight because of Lucy?' Kurama noticed Sol use his magic to slide back to Juvia, though he was blasted back by the earth and hit the ground. "So, you use Earth Magic and you used it to travel. And you, this rain is your doing, isn't it?" This surprised Lucy and Hinata.
"So, you can tell? Yes, it I am the cause of this. I am Juvia the Rain Woman and someone like you cannot touch me no matter how powerful you are." To prove her point, she partially transformed her arm into water.
'Great, an elemental. Physical attacks probably won't work on her, but luckily, I can use other attacks. Naruto would have been a better match considering he can consume water and power up.' Kurama saw that Juvia was aiming for Lucy and stood in front of his guild mates. She created a large whip, but Kurama easily dispelled with a swipe from one of his tails.
"I did not expect Fairy Tail to have a creature like you." A voice called out and made Kurama's eyes widen. He was suddenly hit by a powerful dark blast which hit his whole body.
"Agh!" Kurama hissed out in pain. He saw a man wearing an attire that could be summed as a mixture of a jester and sorcerer. He has dark red coloured hair and a thin moustache, with dark coloured lips. "Jose Porla, Phantom Lord's Guild Master. Hinata! Lucy! Run!" Before they could, Juvia knocked them out and trapped both girls inside a sphere of water.
"What are you doing here, Master?" Juvia asked Phantom's leader, who retained a vicious smirk.
"Probably didn't trust you to get the job done. You must be desperate if you came here yourself." Kurama hissed in pain as he was stomped on by Jose, whose expression changed into one stoicism.
"Whilst I trust in your abilities, I'm afraid we're in a rush. The next phase of my plan requires Lucy Heartfilia and what's this…this Hinata Hyuuga. The daughter of the Mayor of Lupinus Town. I see, good work Juvia. Take them to the tower, I will join you shortly after I deal with this creature." Jose ordered his Element 4, as they both left with the captured girls.
"You're a fool to think you can beat us. If those were two of your so-called elite wizards, then you got another thing coming. And I can tell that despite your magic power, you're no match for our Master." Kurama's words made Jose's mood sour even further, who added pressure to Kurama's back.
"Fairy Tail will fall and Phantom Lord will become number one in this country. I could kill you like the insignificant bug you are, but now I want to see you eat those words. And unlike many I can tell, you have a lot of hidden power, which is why I attacked you first. But you managed to retain consciousness." Jose himself is a gifted wizard and possessed extraordinary power, but Kurama intrigued him despite being a small creature.
"Afraid of losing to a little fox like me? I'm honoured." Kurama was felt more pressure added on by Jose and he was getting angry. "You better stop or else you'll give me no choice but to fight you. And trust me, you don't want that!" Kurama's was beginning to fight back and his power began to show to Jose. Unfortunately for Kurama, Jose pierced his back by using a beam of darkness from his finger repeatedly.
"Such insolence. I'll leave you to bleed out and I doubt anyone would help a little fox like you." Jose left the bleeding Kurama.
'Y-You'll pay for this.' Kurama's injuries had steam coming of them as slowly began to get up with his eyes completely red.
(Sometime later, Phantom Lord guild hall)
"Those Fairies are cowards! They won't do anything because they're scared of some old farts!" A Phantom member spoke, making some of the other members laugh. Suddenly, the wall was torn down and knocked back the laughing members.
"What the hell!?" Various Phantom members saw the dust settle and many of the Fairy Tail members arrived, including the usual suspects.
(Fairy Tail OST-Natsu Theme)
"I-It's Fairy Tail!" A random Phantom member shouted and was met with fire ball, courtesy of Natsu, taking him out of the fight. The Fairy Tail wizards attacked.
"That fire wizard! He's the Salamander!" Natsu took out many Phantom wizards with a breath attack.
"That redhead! She's Titania!" Erza did not even change her armour cut down several wizards in her path.
"That guy's Beast-Arm Elfman!" Elfman's right arm changed into a scaly creature's, the scales being red from the forearm and lower and then green from his shoulder down. Elfman knocked out more of their forces whilst repeatedly saying the word 'manly', confusing some of them.
"That ice wizard! He's Gray Fullbuster!" Gray made an ice hammer took out more people.
"That's Fairy Tail's most handsome man!" Loke used a light-enhanced fist to punch another Phantom wizard, making the flying wizard hit another member.
"That's Fairy Tail's card wizard!" More members were taken out by Cana's exploding cards.
"And it's him! The Paladin of the Sea!" Naruto had the angriest glare and released his own breath attack to take more members out.
"That's a nice expression, Naruto. You should show it more often." Sasuke appeared and attacked Naruto, who clashed with him.
"Sasuke!" Naruto and Sasuke fought each other, with Gajeel appearing from above and dropped down.

"Geehee! Bout time you got here!" Gajeel's left arm changed into a club and he took out not only some Fairy Tail members, but some of his own guild mates too.
"Attacking your own friends is unmanly!" Elfman's right arm was now made from stone as he landed a hit on Gajeel's face. However, cracks appeared on his fist and blood leaked out, making Elfman pull back and hold his now normal hand. 'My hand!' Elfman left himself wide open as Gajeel hit him with his club and sent him flying back.
'It felt like I was punching steel. Stone Arm is one of my strongest spells.' Elfman thought to himself and he managed to get back up to carry on fighting the Phantom Lord grunts.
'That person. He's Black Steel Gajeel. They say he's a Dragon Slayer, just like Natsu and Naruto.' Erza heard of him. She knew Gajeel was known for being the most brutal of Phantom Lord's wizards. 'And Sasuke Uchiha. He was taught by Kakashi Hatake and is considered a prodigy. But I believe in Naruto and Natsu, you can take down Gajeel.'
Suddenly, everyone felt a powerful magic presence. The Phantom Lord wizards began to quiver, except for Sasuke and Gajeel. However, they did have sweat dripping on their faces for a second. Makarov walked in, his magic power flowing and each step leaving cracks on the floor.
(Fairy Tail OST-Fairy Law)
'Makarov Dreyar. One of the Wizard Saints, just like Master Jose. He's trouble and needs to be taken out first. I hope the plan works because I'm currently no match for him. AT least not just yet.' Sasuke was prideful, but even he knew that he lacked Makarov's power and experience. He continued to clash with Naruto. 'This loser….how did he grow strong in such a short time!' Sasuke was kicked back but he rebounded and rushed at Naruto with his sword.
'T-This old man…..he's the real deal.' Even Gajeel was wary of Makarov, this left him open for a surprise attack from Natsu, though he managed to block it. "You're the Salamander, ain't ya? Don't disappoint like the trash of your guild. Geehee!"
"Your scent, you did that to Levy, Jet and Droy!" Natsu was mad and clashed with Gajeel. Meanwhile Makarov just walked towards Jose's office, any Phantom wizard that got near him was knocked out by his power.
"Your Master is something. He can knock out our wizards without touching them. But he is too soft-hearted if he keeps weaklings around your guild. That's why Phantom Lord wil…." Sasuke was kicked by a water-enhanced kick by Naruto despite his body surging with lightning, though Naruto also took some damage from the lightning. 'Dammit! Even though lightning has the edge over water, his power has increased to the point it can match my lightning. Just like last time!' Sasuke remembered their previous battle, which was put to a halt.
"You really need to shut your mouth." Naruto said as he and Sasuke began to trade blows. "And stop holding back, will ya? I know you're stronger than this. If you're worried about your friends, then we can take this outside. My friends aren't weak, so they can handle any stray attacks." Naruto had faith in this guild mates, something Sasuke lacked.
Gajeel hit Natsu with his club, but Natsu grabbed it. He picked up Gajeel and slammed him to the ground, but Gajeel only took minimal damage as his body was covered by metal.
As the battle between fairies and phantoms waged on, Makarov bust through doors of Jose's office and walked up the stairs.
"Jose!" Makarov confronted the smirking Master of Phantom Lord, who sat on his almost throne-like chair.

"Ah yes. Makarov, it's been a while." Jose saw Makarov's expression. "That expression of yours brings me great joy, Makarov."
"And your face makes me want to stomp you to the ground." Makarov held himself back. "Now, how about you face me instead of sending the children to fight?"
"I'm glad you mentioned the children. You see, I would not have gotten the opportunity if not for the little runaway." Jose told Makarov, confusing him.
"You mean Hinata? She only just joined recently." Makarov was only answered by a small chuckle.
"I'm not talking about the Hyuuga. I meant her." Jose somehow teleported Lucy and Hinata in front of him, both were tied up. "Lucy Heartfilia." Makarov was shocked to see two of his guild members in this condition, but he also realised why Lucy was important.
"Y-You!" Makarov could not hold his rage anymore and attacked Jose, only for the attack to go through him. 'What!? A Thought Projection!' Makarov's recklessness caused him to lower his defences as large man with a blindfold, green coat and hat attack Makarov. This man is Aria, one of the Element 4. Aria's attack forced Fairy Tail's Guild Master to crash back down where his crash interrupted the battle.
"Master!" "Gramps!" Erza and the others exclaimed. Makarov's skin turned green, and it looked like he was barely breathing. Seeing their Master down made a lot of the Fairy Tail member lose their will to fight, which means that Phantom gained the upper hand. Naruto stopped his battle with Sasuke and made his way towards Makarov. He picked up Makarov and Erza called for a retreat. She had to beg Gray to retreat and she told Naruto to get Makarov to Polyusica's place.
"Go Naruto! We'll cover you!" Gray told the blonde, who nodded and ran with their Master in his arms.
"Don't give on me Gramps! I'll get you to Granny Porlyusica's in no time!" Naruto ran with superhuman speed.
"The Master's plan went well. That old geezer didn't see you coming. Now we got that Lucy girl too and that girl with the white eyes too. We'll get a big payday after this according to Master Jose." Gajeel spoke with Aria, the wizard who surprised attacked Makarov. They did not realise that Natsu overheard them and used this chance to capture one of the Phantom wizards from the chaos.
(Lucy and Hinata's location)
"Sorry, but I can't hear you." Jose had smirk on his face as he looked at the tied-up girls. Lucy glared at him, whilst Hinata was scared at what would happen to them. "Maybe this will help." Jose removed the gags from their faces.
"Why are you doing this!?" Lucy spat out as it only made Jose chuckle
"Why? It's a job of course. Quite a coincidence that it is basically the same job as Miss Hyuuga here." Jose gestured to the white-eyed girl.
"W-Wait….You mean someone sent you to retrieve me?" Lucy knew there could be only one person, but she had to confirm it. "It was my father, wasn't it?"
"Clever girl. Yes, your father is offering a large amount of money for your return. I simply took you from those filthy fairies. Do not worry though, no harm will come to you. And you too Miss Hyuuga. I'm sure your father will be relieved to have you back." Jose knew that if the two girls ran away from their father's, it was for a good reason. But he did not care, if they were willing to pay for their daughters, then he'll make sure they would be returned to them. Of course, he also had a more sinister plan, which he would reveal in good time.
"No chance in hell I would go back!" Lucy told him with a glare and Hinata glared at him too.
"I see. But you, Miss Heartfilia, have no choice. Miss Hyuuga is the least important. I have not been offered money for your safe return Miss Hyuuga, but I'm sure your father would pay for it regardless." Jose's words struck a chord in Lucy.
"You can't be serious? You want to use her like a hostage! And I bet you're trying the same thing with me!" Lucy accused Phantom's Master, who simply retained his smile.
"Your father contacted us after he discovered you joined that guild. Either way, we will be paid for retrieving you and you will be given to your father." Jose had some satisfaction at this. He truly believed that Lucy used her wealth for Fairy Tail, not knowing that Lucy gave that up when she ran away.
"They will come for us. They will find out where we are, and they will beat you!" Lucy showed confidence in her friend's abilities.
"Yes. You may have powerful wizards like Sasuke, but he won't beat someone like Naruto!" Hinata agreed with Lucy and had faith for her first friend from Fairy Tail.
"You'll understand soon enough the power of Phantom Lord." Jose ignored their remarks because he truly believed that his plans would come to fruition. "But you should know, Makarov has fallen." He suddenly said to them to bring them despair. Whilst this surprised them, they did not believe him at first until he explained the battle from earlier.
They both began to despair, but Lucy still believed. She believed in her friends and for Master Makarov to pull through. She has been with Fairy Tail long enough to know that they won't be defeated easily.
(Back with Natsu)
Natsu set the captive Phantom Lord wizard on fire and threatened to turn him into ash. Natsu could have burned him instantly but held back quite a lot. It did not take long for the Phantom wizard to spill the beans. Natsu knocked him out and alongside Happy, headed towards Lucy's location.
(With Naruto)
"Granny Porlyusica!" Naruto knocked on her door and the pink-haired old woman opened the door.
"You brat! What is it no…..Makarov!" Porlyusica saw the state of her old friend and changed her tone. "Bring him inside, quickly!" Naruto did so and made room for him. Porlyusica checked Makarov and could tell what happened. 'His magic power was drained. If I'm quick I can give medicine, but I must work fast!' She gave Makarov some herbs before she began to make the medicine quickly but remained calm. Naruto waited outside the house.
A good time passed until Porlyusica came back out and Naruto was nervous to hear the results.
"You managed to get here in time. The danger has passed, and he should recover from this. When, I cannot say, but knowing that old fool, he'll recover sooner than later." Porlyusica's words made Naruto sigh in relief.
"Thanks Granny. I'll leave and let the others know." Naruto bowed to show he was grateful and turned around.
"Naruto. Before you go, tell me who did this?" Porlyusica was angry, despite not being an official member of Fairy Tail, she grew to care for Makarov as a friend.
"It was those bastards in Phantom Lord." Naruto explained what happened as Porlyusica realised how much trouble the guild would be in if the Magic Council discovered what happened, despite Phantom Lord being the one who instigated this Guild War.
(Back with Lucy and Hinata)
"What's with that look?" Jose saw Lucy look at him strangely, as if she was holding back something.
"I need the bathroom." Lucy replied.
"Nice try. But do not think I'll fall for that trick." Jose told her without changing his expression.
"Alright then. If I make a mess, you'll be the one to clean it up." Lucy told him, still retaining that look on her face.
"Please just let her go to the bathroom. I do not wish to be peed on or worse." Hinata begged him, which made him sigh. He then cut off the ropes that tied their legs and placed a bucket in front of them, shocking them.
"W-Wait! What is this!?" Lucy looked at the bucket.
"Your toilet of course. The same for you Miss Hyuuga, that is why I cut off the rope which tied your legs. I won't fall for any of your cheap tricks." Jose smirked at Lucy's indignant response, Hinata was not happy either.
"Fine, if I must." Lucy stood up and was about to pull down her underwear. This shocked not only Hinata, but Jose too.
'W-What a vulgar girl!' Jose shook his head and turned around, mumbling to himself. "I consider myself a gentleman, so I cannot watch her use the bucket as toilet!" As Jose was distracted, Lucy kicked him from behind, kicking his family jewels and forcing him on his knees.
"Sometimes cheap tricks work very well against people like you. Come on, Hinata!" Lucy and Hinata ran to the doors opposite the one Jose kneeled in front of and kicked it open. Instead of a corridor or stairs, all they saw was the sky and that it was a long way down.
"Y-You stupid girl! All you are doing is staving off the inevitable! You are over 100 feet from the ground, and I do not recommend it unless you possess the power of flight. No one is coming for you and I doubt they even know you are here!" Jose was mad and now had a much crazier grin. "And besides, you are too cowardly. Now, behave yourself or else I'll have to use force." Jose only made Lucy look at Hinata, with the latter realising that Lucy was no coward. Lucy jumped back, surprising Jose. Hinata recalled the words Naruto used to encourage her to speak up against her father and she jumped after Lucy.
'T-Those girls! They have definitely been influenced by that guild!' Jose said, still clutching his groin.
Lucy and Hinata were falling, but luckily for Lucy, Natsu managed to catch her as he was carried by Happy.
"You saved me." Lucy hugged him and smiled, with Natsu grinning until they heard a scream.
"HHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPP!" Hinata was screaming with comical tears. The trio's eyes widened comically and then they dived down. Natsu grabbed Hinata with his other arm. "T-Thank you!" Hinata gasped out, she was scared that she would die.
"Sorry about that." Natsu told Hinata. "Let's head back to the guild." Happy could not manage all the weight for long and began to descend. After they reached the ground, Natsu burned the ropes binding the girls.
"Natsu. Phantom's Master….He told me that Master was taken out. Is this true?" She asked her fellow wizard.
"Yeah. They did a sneak attack while Gramps wasn't looking. Naruto took him to old lady Porlyusica. If anyone can help him, it's her. Everyone's back at the guild, Naruto will be back there too and he'll let us know if Gramps is okay." Natsu was angry at Phantom, but he was more worried for Makarov's health.
'I-It's my fault!' Lucy had some tears fall out, which Natsu noticed. She blamed herself as her father hired Phantom Lord to bring her back.
"What's wrong?" Happy asked her. Natsu also looked at her, worried for her.
"It's my fault this happened. Levy and the others got hurt because they wanted me." Lucy covered her face with her hands. Hinata rubbed her back in sadness.
"What are you talking about?" Natsu asked her with confusion on his face. Moments passed before Lucy stopped crying.
"I'll tell you, but only when we are at the guild. It involves all of you and I want you all to know the truth." Lucy told him reluctantly.
"If you say so. I trust you." Natsu truly did trust her. They all made their way back to the guild, Lucy's truth would be revealed.
End. Sorry for the wait, but I managed to make this chapter a bit longer. Now Kurama is still alive, but he was hit by Jose's sneak attack. Do not worry, Kurama is stronger than he looks and he will be mad. Jose knew that there would be more variables and did not take the chance to let Lucy get away.
