so we get introduced to two new charecters in this ah fanfic i hope you enjoy this chapter and this isnt going to be one of those happy storys where jace immedatly makes clary stop and she does oh hell no i am not doing that anyways on with the chapter -tian

Previously

"P..P..Please don't leave. please Jace." She drew her self back to look at me with tears in her eyes pleading that I stay. I nodded my head before getting under the covers and pulling her close to me where she and I both fell asleep.

Jace's pov

I woke up a few hours after falling asleep, luckily Clary was still asleep. I got up gently and somehow managed to not wake Clary, I quietly shut the door and went back to cooking our food. When I finished cooking our bacon and eggs I went to go wake up Clary but there was a knock at the door, I went to the door and opened it too find Max and Will. When they saw me they smiled and Max ran too hug me for a 13 year old he's pretty tall almost the size of Clary.

"William Herondale get your fat ass over here in this house." I let out a laugh so did he before he came in and hugged Max and I. When he pulled back he looked at the house we shared, now he was 19 he could legally adopt me. He never really went to school so his parents just let him be home-schooled, they didn't have legal rights to me when my parents died. Will was like really smart so he finished home schooling in like a few years, the only problem about them being here is they don't know that Clary's here. (A/N let me clarify will adopted Jace but before Will turned 19 maryse had custody over him as a foster parent )

"So Jace Will is looking after me for the day because mom said and I quote 'That I am too young to be on my own.' So can I go to find my room and get the manga's I left here?" He asked his grey eyes pleading for me to say yes. I nodded before he ran off to his room to find a manga, It was about time I told Will about Clary being here but that was cut short of a scream. Will and I ran to the room where Max was and I remembered that I left Max's manga's in Clary's room so she could read them when she woke up till I could get her some more. Clary was thrashing about on the bed again whilst Max was trying to calm her, I looked at will signalling to him to grab Max whilst I wake up Clary. When he does that I gently wake up Clary, she let out another scream before opening her eyes and gasping she started to sob as I pulled her to my chest. I rocked her gently till she stopped crying which was about five minutes, she drew back only to see Max and Will uh oh.

"Max? Will?! She questioned,

"Clare?" Will exclaimed Max looked like he was about to cry when he went to hug her, she winced at the impact but wrapped her arms around him. Will was the first to say something,

"Max why don't you give her sometime to get dress whilst Jace explains why she's here." Max nodded his head before going to the living room with Will and I. I explained as much as I could without saying anything about the rape even though Max is 13 he's still too young to know about rape, Will could tell that there were bits that I was leaving out but by the time I finished Clary came out. She had a pair of doc martins on skinny jeans and a long sleeved top. Max got up to hug her again when she sat down Will also went to hug her. Will and Clary have know each other since she was born, to her Will has always been her big brother and when Sebastian was a better brother they were friends but then Will and I moved away because our aunt was taking us in as Will's mother was ill and could no longer look after us but that same year our aunt took ill and we were placed in the care of Maryse but Robert and her were going to split up so Robert offered Maryse that till Will was old enough Robert would look after us. So thats why it took us 8 years to get back here Robert only wanted us to stay there because and I quote "The L.A Institute high school is the best school you could ever go to." But it was just because he ran it and because he didn't want Izzy and I being in the same school as Alec because Alec's gay.

"Could we go to Luke's bookstore Jace?" Max asked, I nodded my head before asking,

"Clary you want to come and get some more manga and maybe some more art supplies?" She looked astonished that I would be asking that,

"Can we? Valentine and Sebastian never let me out or let me buy art supplies unless I paid dearly for It." She whispered I went over and hugged her before getting up and getting a jacket for Clary Max and I.

"Will what are you going to do?" I asked him whilst giving Clary her jacket.

"I'll stay here Jace and cook some more food and tidy up a bit." Will said before going into his room and most probably going to clean. Or plan a revenge plan but who knows, he's most probably planning a revenge plan.

I helped Clary get to the car whilst Max buckled up and sat in the back of the car. When we got to Luke's book store I noticed a familiar red head in the bookstore. Strange. Max had gotten out of the car when I parked and was already helping Clary out of the car, I smiled when he did this because to him she was his big sister like Izzy but more geeky. I held the door open for them and they went in only for a man to say.

"Jocelyn but you were just here?" He looked about 30 something and Clary looked at him with confusion in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry but you must be mistaken this is Clary Fray and you are?" Max asked innocently I stifled a laugh.

"Oh sorry you just reminded me of my wife you look a lot like her. And I'm Luke the owner of this store feel free to ask me for anything you need help finding." Luke said.

"Oh do you by any chance sell any art supplies?" Clary asked Luke nodded his head before motioning her to follow which we did and Clary's eyes lit up when she saw all the paint supplies she also saw loads of paintings that were done by Jocelyn Fray? Clary didn't notice the artists name because she was too distracted with the supplies. I went to go find Luke and question him when I saw him talking to the red head from earlier.

"Sorry to bother you but how did you get the paintings from Jocelyn Fray?" I asked interrupting them, the red heads eyes widened.

"Jace?" She said I looked at her with confusion in my eyes. How the blinking hell does she know my fucking name?

"Sorry you reminded me of someone I use to know he was called Jace but he moved away when my daughter and him were 8." She spoke. Strange that almost sounds like mine and Clary's story. "Well at least I think so my daughter went missing when she was 3 a few days after the boy's parents died." She laughed a sad laugh before quickly looking over to where Clary was with Max, "Anyway the paintings were done by a friend of mine." I nodded before moving to where Clary was she had found some paints but was deciding if she should get them or not I guess they really did a number on her the poor girl.

"Clary you can get what ever you want ok so get them." I said making her jump a little before I picked the paints up and put them in the basket she was holding.

"I'll pay you back I promise Jace I swear." She sounded so broken I pulled her into a hug before whispering.

"You don't have to do anything their a gift from me ok." I smiled and she nodded Valentine and Sebastian 0 Me 1. She grabbed a few more things before we went to go check out the books when Clary looked at the red head.

"Mom?" She whispered before shaking her head and looked at the books. She didn't know I heard her and I didn't tell her either, when we finished getting the mangas she and Max wanted we went to the check out area.

"Hi I'm Lily and how can I be of service today?" The woman looked up and when she saw me she immediately started to flirt,

"So what are you going to get to day handsome and how can I help you maybe by following me to the back you can help me." I shook my head at her before,

"Nope not interested my girlfriend and I just want to buy some items for our cousin and an art project that MY GIRLFRIEND is doing. So if you could please stop flirting with me that would be amazing otherwise I'm complaining to your boss." I swear after I finished talking Clary's eyes lit up even more, but then Lily opened her mouth again.

"Really you're dating that piece of shit shes pale got freckles all over her and shes like anorexic and yet she's still fat she not beautiful and she looks like she is a slut!" When she said that Clary had tears streaming down her face as if she hasn't had enough happen to her Max cut me off before I could speak.

"HOW FUCKING DARE YOU INSULT MY SISTER SHE IS A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING WHO WOULD NEVER DO WHAT YOU JUST DID BITCH." Max was being so brotherly and there is no way in hell I'm telling Maryse that he just swore. Luke must have heard Lily say those horrible things to us and said,

"Lily how many times do I have to say 1 stop flirting with the male customers who have girlfriends 2 then making their girlfriends feel like shit. Pack your shit because your fired and not getting paid." Lily made a sound of disbelief before storming off and slamming the door. Luke then served us.

Clary's pov

When we got to the check out area this girl started to flirt with Jace then when he told her he was not interested she spoke.

"Really you're dating that piece of shit shes pale got freckles all over her and shes like anorexic and yet shes still fat she not beautiful and she looks like she is a slut!" I felt so awful because its true I'm too fat and I have freckles all over my face. I am a slut because I got raped by my brother and my dad everyday since Jace left. I'm not beautiful and I'm really pale. I should just end it all and just die then this world would be better off with out me. Jace was about to speak when Max cut him off by saying.

"HOW FUCKING DARE YOU INSULT MY SISTER SHE IS A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING WHO WOULD NEVER DO WHAT YOU JUST DID BITCH." My tears had slowed down by now and I hugged Max before kissing him on the forehead and He hugged me even more. Luke came back to where Lily was and spoke "Lily how many times do I have to say 1 stop flirting with the male customers who have girlfriends 2 then making their girlfriends feel like shit. Pack your shit because your fired and not getting paid." Lily made a sound of disbelief before storming off and slamming the door. Luke and Mrs Garroway came over and apologised a lot before serving us and we said goodbye to them and put the bags in the car. We listened to music and sung along to it on the way back but there was one thing that stayed with me for the rest of the day "SHE IS A SLUT!"
