Ch. 47

(A/N): Hello everyone, I did not realize how long it has been since I last updated. I was waiting to the end of last month like I did before, but then things got crazy with finishing my last spring semester. This chapter maybe short, but I want to jump right in after this chapter with all the kids starting school. I will update on Friday as well, but for now here is the next chapter. I do not own MK-LT.

Ch. 47

Sunday had come and gone like a flash as Kotoko was putting her children to bed earlier than normal. Tomorrow her kids would be starting their new school. She was no longer worried about her kids not making friends right away, and after a long day was happy to see the Irie brothers like they used to.

When she had come down stairs everyone was sitting in the living room haply drinking tea. It was if this is what they had been doing as if she hadn't left. She had broken out of her thoughts when she heard her "aunt" call her. Handing her cub, as she sat beside Naoki, Kotoko glanced around the room. Opposite from her Yuki sat with Yoshimi, between the younger people sat on either side were her father and her aunt and uncle.

Yes, to her it seemed so happy, but sad all at the same time. Everyone stopped what they were doing to see Kotoko had started to cry into her tea. "Kotoko, what's wrong?" asked her father as he pat her leg.

"It's just," Kotoko tried to get out. "I'm starting to regret leaving." That remark didn't just make Naoki happy, but everyone's as well, especially Mrs. Irie.

"Why do you say that, Kotoko-Chan?" asked Mrs. Irie in a sweet voice.

"If I knew we could get along, like right now you guys could have been more part of Yuga's life, even if I had come back after having him, Naoki could have known he had a child."

At that Naoki took Kotoko's hand in his. "This is going to sound wiered coming from me, but I'm glad you left a little." Naoki could tell everyone was giving him mixed looks. "I'm not finished.

"What I mean is, you leaving showed me how wrong I was to do what I did to you, and even if I wanted one night of true happiness it was wrong. I could of either not go through it, or stayed with you. "

Naoki than gave her a little smile, "Besides if you hadn't left you might not of had Ayu, so don't start thinking like that because I'm truly happy things turned out the way they did."

Kotoko and Naoki just kept looking at each other, while everyone was having their own thoughts.

EVERYONE: 'He just confessed in front of everyone!'

Kotoko finally gave him a little smile. "Thank you Naoki."

And in front of everyone she kissed him on the cheek.

After Naoki and Kotoko went to their rooms, everyone else just sat down stairs trying to take in what they saw.

"Oh, it's so frustrating seeing those two like this," complained Mrs. Irie. "If only he wasn't married."

"I agree," commented Yoshimi. "They seem so perfect for each other."

"I also wish things could have gone differently, but Naoki is stuck with his choices in life," stated Mr. Aiharo.

Yuki and Mr. Irie just looked at each other, and just agreed with each other. Yoshimi just looked at the two men. Yuki noticed quickly that his girlfriend was already thinking they knew something. Part of him was also wishing he had gone to another room when he had called his father the other night.

"Well I think it's late, why don't I walk you home?" asked Yuki to Yoshimi.

"Yes, let's," at the tone of her voice, he knew she knew.

Later that night as Kotoko and Naoki lied in their beds they both awoke realizing what they did in front of everyone. So the next morning all the adults looked like zombies, except for the children who were ready for their first day of school
