Searching
Ryuu groaned as he stirred, opening his eyes to find Fu above him, her slick inner walls sliding over him quickly. Just as he realized what was going on, she arched her back, crying out in pleasure as she came, dragging him over the edge with her, his seed flooding into her and filling her rapidly. After several seconds, she collapsed onto his chest, trying to catch her breath as he wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head.
"You're being especially needy the last couple days," Ryuu asked. "First you pull that stunt with the movie, then we spent all yesterday in bed, and now I wake up to this? What's going on with you?"
"Sorry," Fu said. "I guess I should have warned you. It's Chomei. It's his mating season, so it's affecting me."
"Jesus," Ryuu groaned. "Well tell him to knock it off. We have to leave to find Itachi today, and we can't be doing this while we're on the mission. Out of curiosity, though, how'd you deal with it before we were together?"
"It hasn't been this bad before," Fu said. "Chomei says it's only as strong as it is because I'm with you."
Ryuu snorted and nodded. "Figures. Well, whatever. Just try to control yourself during the mission, alright?"
Fu nodded, kissing him for a moment before standing and heading to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Ryuu sighed, holding a hand to his face before pushing himself up and following her, Fu gasping in surprise as his hands landed on her hips, pulling her back against him and his lips found her pulse point.
"One more time before we go," Ryuu murmured against her skin. "Just to be safe."
Fu smiled, moaning as his right hand dipped between her legs. "I think I can live with that."
Ryuu and Fu landed with the others, being the last two to arrive, even Tayuya arriving first, being the only person to know why, though saying nothing.
"There you are," Tsunade said, she and Jiraiya standing under the Main Gate's roof to stay out of the rain, the rest of them all wearing white, waterproof cloaks with yellow inside and two thick red stripes around their bottoms. "What took you so long?"
"Sorry," Ryuu said. "Something came up with Chomei."
Tsunade's eyes widened but she nodded. "Is it taken care of?"
"For now," Ryuu said. "We'll have to deal with it again after the mission, but for now it's under control."
Tsunade nodded and Ryuu looked around at the others. Aside from his team, Team Kakashi and Team Kurenai were both present, though Kurenai herself was absent, as she was currently pregnant with Asuma's child and was taking leave from her duties as a Shinobi, and Yamato was there to make up the difference.
"Everyone ready?" Kakashi asked, everyone nodding. "Okay. Let's go."
They headed to a large building outside the village and all gathered on the roof, Kakashi having Ryuu apply a communication's seal to everyone, one that worked like a wireless communicator but with a ten mile range, then explained that they'd be using the building as a center point to search a five kilometer radius from the building, them moving the center point and repeating if they found nothing.
"Five kilometers?" Sakura asked. "But, we'll be too spread out for anyone besides Fu and Ryuu to react quickly."
"Don't worry about that," Ryuu said. "Quite frankly, I seriously doubt we'll be meeting up with Itachi during this search as it is. It's a decent plan, but this is Itachi we're talking about. He hasn't gone completely undetected this long from dumb luck alone. He knows all of Konoha's search tactics and formations."
"What do you suggest?" Kakashi asked.
"I've already asked the birds in the area to form a net, and warn me about anyone passing through," Ryuu said. "If they find anyone, they'll pass the information to Yomo, and he'll guide me to them. That'll keep him from slipping past us while we search."
Kakashi nodded. "Good thinking Ryuu. Now, let me explain the team rosters for our patrol. I'm going to be sending my Ninja Hounds with you all as an extra helping hand. I'll assign two hounds to each team as an extra set of helping hands." He summoned all of his hounds, who separated into groups of two.
Two of them walked over to Sakura, one greeting her politely while the other complained about her being a loud-mouthed girl, one of the two with Shino complained about him smelling like bugs with Shino countering that the hound smelled like a dog, and the two with Sai were both extremely polite.
"What about me?" Naruto asked.
"Since you're a Jinchuriki, you'll be escorted by Yamato, and a sensory time ninja, in this case, Hinata," Kakashi said, Naruto's face lighting up instantly.
"Good to be working with you, N-Naruto," Hinata blushed.
"Yeah, I'm glad we're together," Naruto smiled, Hinata's face darkening rapidly, though she didn't faint.
"Don't forget Big Bark Bull," Pakkun said, a massive black-furred bulldog barking as it walked over to Naruto.
"I'm also sending Tayuya with you, if that's alright, Ryuu," Kakashi said.
"It's fine," Ryuu nodded. "She'll be helpful if they meet any Akatsuki members."
Kakashi nodded. "Fu will be with Ryuu, and in place of a ninja hound, they'll have Yomo and Ryuu's ability to talk to birds. Meanwhile, being Ninja Hound users, Kiba and I will each have one dog."
"So we're all set and ready to go," Kiba smirked.
"Listen, all of you," Kakashi said. "You highest priority during this mission is to track Itachi and Sasuke's scents. But if you do encounter either of them, simply verify their location and return here to the central point. Especially you two, Naruto and Ryuu. Don't go running off."
"I know that, don't worry," Naruto said.
"I make no promises," Ryuu said. "Sasuke's not the only one who has family business to handle with Itachi."
"I mean it, Ryuu," Kakashi said. "We're working as a team."
Ryuu remained silent, so Kakashi sighed.
"Very well," Kakashi said. "Then at least signal us if you find him. Family business or not, you're going to need help to deal with him."
"Don't worry," Ryuu said. "I'm not planning on facing Itachi alone."
Kakashi nodded. "Very well. Let's go. Scatter!"
They all took off, Fu and Ryuu heading into the trees before Yomo flew down, landing on Ryuu's shoulder and nipping lightly at his ear.
"Another bird whisperer?" Ryuu asked. "Is he with Sasuke?"
Yomo cawed.
"I see," Ryuu nodded. "Care to pass a message back for me? Let him know I'm a friend, and I want to help Sasuke face Itachi? And that Sasuke will know who I am and agree."
Yomo cawed and took off into the trees. A few minutes later, a falcon took off from the trees, flying away quickly.
"So he's over there, then," Ryuu mused. "Good."
After a moment, a small yellow song bird landed on his shoulder, tweeting.
"Oh, so they stopped by Granny Cat's place, huh?" Ryuu smiled. "There's a name I haven't heard for a long time."
"Granny Cat?" Fu asked.
"She's an old lay who owns a munitions depot the Uchiha used to use," Ryuu said. "She's obsessed with cats, to the point of having a cat-ear headband and painting her nose black to look like a cat's face. She lives with some Ninja Cats who help her around the store. Oh, and her granddaughter, Tamaki. Granny Cat's a little strange, but she's sharp as a tack. Or, at least, she used to be. Anyway, thanks for the info little guy."
He gave the song bird a piece of bread from one of his seals, just the corner of his sandwich, and it tweeted happily before flying away with its reward.
Karin glanced at Suigetsu and shook her head. The town was another bust. Three in a row, so far. Suigetsu nodded and they left the town, heading for the next. As they walked, Suigetsu slipped his hand into Karin's. She sighed, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I wonder when Ryuu's going to meet up with us?" Karin mused.
"Probably once Sasuke and Itachi are all ready going at it," Suigetsu said. "Speaking of which..."
"We've got a job to do, Suigetsu," Karin said, flatly. "We don't have time to slack off. You do remember how long Sasuke spent lecturing us about it after he walked in on us when all we were supposed to be doing was waiting for him to show up, right?"
"I'm actually impressed he cared enough to spend that long lecturing," Suigetsu chuckled. "Still, at least he didn't interrupt. I'd have had to fight him. So, back to the matter at hand."
Karin sighed. "You're incorrigible. Fine. But only if Itachi's not in the next town, and we have to be quick about it."
Suigetsu grinned. "I'm sure I can set you off a couple times in fifteen minutes."
Karin rolled her eyes. "Why did I ever start liking you?"
Ryuu stopped, Fu sighing before they both turned, looking back. A laugh echoed out of the trees as Amalgam stepped into view.
"You again," Ryuu groaned. "What do you want?"
"You really need to ask?" Amalgam asked, bone spikes sprouting from his forearms. "Don't tell me you've forgotten my motivations already."
"I was kind of hoping Sasuke would kill you along with Orochimaru," Ryuu said, drawing his tanto, Fu drawing hers as well. "I suppose we'll have to do it, though."
Amalgam grinned, but retracted his bone spikes. "Interesting."
Then, he dropped into the ground and was gone. Ryuu raised an eyebrow just as someone landed behind him. He spun, then froze. Itachi. He was standing calmly behind them, a crow sitting on his shoulder.
"You," Ryuu said, narrowing his eyes. "You got past my birds."
"Not exactly," Itachi said. "I told them I was a friend of yours and asked them to lead me to you. It truly is amazing how much birds trust and care about you. It's like they see you as family."
The crow turned its head, a Sharingan staring at Ryuu. Ryuu formed the Ram hand seal, releasing a burst of chakra, but nothing happened.
"It's not a Genjutsu," Itachi said. "The Sharingan is real. It was your brother's."
"Shisui?" Ryuu breathed, then grit his teeth, hands trembling. "So you really did steal my brother's eyes."
"Didn't I tell you I did so?" Itachi asked, then raised his arms. "However, in this case, I'll return it to you. It can be my final gift to you before I correct the error I made in cutting too shallowly."
Ryuu narrowed his eyes as the crow landed on his shoulder. "Thank you for the gift, Big Brother Itachi. When I find the real you, I'll be sure to give you a gift in return."
Itachi hummed thoughtfully before dissolving into crows. Ryuu glanced at the crow on his shoulder before forming the Seal of Confrontation, the crow bursting into a small puff of smoke. He sighed. He was going to have a headache from dealing with his family. He could tell. Just then, a massive beam of shining white chakra exploded into the air in the distance, forming into a spike before two more extended out from the sides, like arms. Ryuu stared at it for a long moment before shaking his head slowly.
"What the hell was that?" Ryuu breathed.
"An explosion?" Fu asked. "On that kind of scale, it would have to be..."
"Deidara," Ryuu finished. "With a blast that big, I'd wager it was a kamikaze strike. He was fighting Sasuke, then."
"How do you know?" Fu asked.
"Because Deidara wouldn't kill himself over just being captured," Ryuu said. "He'd bide his time while he regained enough chakra to break out with whatever clay he had left. But if he was fighting someone that was trying to kill him, like Sasuke, then he'd definitely be spiteful enough to take Sasuke with him."
"So...is Sasuke..." Fu trailed off and Ryuu sighed.
"I don't know," Ryuu said. "Either way, we need to keep looking for Itachi. I'll have the birds check on him."
Fu nodded and Ryuu whistled, several birds flying toward the explosion, before he and Fu continued on their way.
