Tale Of A Wanderer

A/N: Hey guys! Just a note for today, that i'm going to release a chapter once at the least maybe two, depends on my work schedule really. Besides that I will be going back to chapter one and doing some minor fixing, such as the title, word correcting and the like. With that said let's do this!

Also! Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Chapter Two: Tutorials, Helgen and Dungeons, Oh My!

The thoughts going through my head could be accounted for by 'well shit' and by that I mean it's somewhat a scary sight overall. For you see infront of all of these hardened warriors and mages you'd think they would act at the first sight of danger, well let me tell you something if that danger happened to be a massive dragon bigger than a three stories tall house i'd rethink my life. I mean seriously, Bethesda down played a lot of the world of Skyrim, hell I think they down played a lot more than that but I digress those hardened warriors I mentioned?

Well they all panicked like headless chickens scrambling around, civilians ran for shelter while the Imperials were trying to form some manner of defense, the Stormcloaks on the other hand made a run for the massive tower besides the inn. I on the other hand moved to save the priestess of Arkays life from falling debris caused by the dragon, Alduin. Rushing forward a piece of debris crashes down to my right and into the executioner, killing him and causing dust to cloud around the area. Reaching the priestess I wrap my arms around her waist and use my arms to pick her up and over my shoulders, doing so causes her to give a yelp in surprise "sorry priestess but we need to get you to safety" I yell over the noise, she stares at me for a moment before she nods her head pointing to the barracks to our left "there!" she yells.

As I turn in that direction and begin running to the barracks I cast my eyes on the dragon that is flying around and attacking that huge tower besides the inn, I decide to try something by thinking "Observe" while looking at Alduin.

Alduin (lvl:?) Title: First Son Of Akatosh

Thoughts:???

Welp, that was both good and terrifying, good as in that observe works mentally which means there could be other abilities of the gamer also work as well, terrifying because that means one over a certain threshold can't be observed and I may just end up screwed if I picked a fight with them. While contemplating this we reach the barracks where I set the priestess down and notice a stormcloak running towards me with a war axe out yelling "victory or sovngarde!" an observe told me all I needed to know who this is.

Gunir (lvl:10) Title: Stormcloak

Thoughts:Trying to get into the keep and your in the way

He soon got within striking distance and swung hoping for me to get hit, I took a step forward within his reach with my hands bound I shoulder checked him with my larger frame, causing him to stumble back and fall to the ground dropping his axe. Stepping forth and reaching down I use the blade of the axe to cut my bindings. Now hands unbound I grab the axe and stare at Gunir "wait please! mercy!" he yelled out, raising his arms to defend himself.

Gunir's Pov:

I was expecting to die from this beast of a man in front of me, he not only knocked me down but also has my axe, but instead of pain he reached down and grabbed my arm hoisting me up to my feet saying "come on, brother we need to get inside before the dragon kills us all!" then he began dragging me towards the barracks of the keep, as we passed through the door we were a thunderous roar behind us as he closed the door.

Andre's Pov:

Upon closing the door I glance at the stormcloak I spared, I contemplate on getting his help as well as the priestess's to get through this keep with that in mind I speak "Ok, you two i'm going to be honest with the both of you, to get through this i'm going to need your help" the priestess was the one who replied back "but how? I'm a priestess of Arkay. I'm not built for combat." she exclaimed looking panicked, while Gunir looked apprehensive. "I need to find the others I can't help you with this." he said looking at me. I sigh and look at Gunir "look, if your looking for Ulfric and your fellow Stormcloaks they probably went through the south gate, as for you" I say turning towards the priestess "I don't need you to fight, I need you to heal me after the fight so just stay back while I handle the conflict alright." She looks relieved and nods while Gunir gains a thoughtful look contemplating, so I continue speaking "Look if you want take a sword from the rack over there" pointing to the weapons rack to my right "and head back outside and to the south gate to head back to Windhelm." With my peace said I head to the gated door and grab the chain and pull down, causing the gate to lower allowing passage through, turning towards the priestess saying "let's get a move on" leaving Gunir to his thoughts. Traversing the narrow hallway we come up to another gated door we hear the sounds of battle, looking through one of the many holes in the door we see the Imperial captain and another Imperial soldier fighting Ralof and Freya with the latter being slowly pushed back. Staring at the fight for but a moment I reach and grab the chain and pull down causing it to lower, with a sigh I walk up behind the Imperials casting a shadow over them causing the fighting quartet to stop, "Hey" I reach out and grab both Imperials by the back of there armor and with a grunt I throw them back, putting me between them and the two behind me. They all were staring at me with different types of shock or confusion, as they're staring at me I get a notice appearing in front of my face.

Greetings! I am the admin to your game. Would you like to start the tutorial?

Tutorial huh? Sure why not.

Excellent! With that said here you go!

Quest received from Game Admin: Tutorial

Cast observe [x]

Use Menu [-]

Use Inventory [-]

Use stats [-]

Use shop [-]

Use ID create [-]

Use gacha [-]

Use the Reward Tab [-]

As I look through the objectives I noticed two things, one is that time stopped around me making everything looked grayed out and two, I have a reward tab. Neat anyway without a second thought I cast Menu getting a notification of an objective done, seeing how it was that easy I start getting all of them done one by one till I hit a snag when I hit the "ID create" tab.

Cannot be accessed without the following requirements: 'class'

Sorry User! I knew I forgot to give you something, please select a 'class'

-Warrior-Thief-Mage-

Be careful user and think hard about what you pick for each tab will give you a random class that belongs to that class tab.

So I have to think about this huh, well the Thief tab is a no go for now that probably runs on my Dex and Cha stat, the Mage tab is an option but I don't want to start out as a squishy mage otherwise known as a 'glass cannon'. So that left me with the Warrior tab, this could be very good or very bad, good because I can get something like 'Blood Reaver' or 'Warlord' which can give me something powerful, but bad if I get something like 'Squire' which will give me something mediocre. So with a little reluctance I clicked the 'Warrior' tab and disappeared with a pop.

Class gained: 'Berserker' (lvl:1) (0/100)

Perk gained: 'Bloodlust' (lvl:1) (0/100)

Perk gained: 'Indomitable' (lvl;1) (0/100)

Perk gained: Weapon Mastery (lvl:1) (0/100)

Welcome User to the 'Dungeon'. Here there are three options per dungeon. First is 'Adventure' mode which is self-explanatory, you go explore the dungeons and fight whatever is inside it, but be warned that every level of the dungeon has a 'Gate Guardian' guarding the door to the next floor.

"So I need to be prepared before I can fight the bosses huh, ok whats the others?" I ask, looking at the familiar white room I found myself in.

The second mode is 'Horde' mode which is a endless wave after wave till you 'die' which will give you the 'Fatigue' debuff, this debuff will lower all of your stats by 10% per stack, to get rid of it you have to rest for a full day to cleanse yourself of the debuff.

"What about the loot drops will I be able to pick them up mid fight or would I have to wait till after I 'die'?

Till after you 'die'. The last mode will be locked for now but it's called 'Legendary' mode, it takes the dungeon and throws everything at you not only at a higher difficulty but also at a higher prestige level as well.

"Prestige? What's that?" I questioned with a frown.

It's something I'm not supposed to tell you just yet. User now please pick a 'Dungeon'

-Zombie-(lvl:5-50) (0/10)

-Demons- (lvl:50-100) (0/5)

-Bandits- (lvl:5-30) (0/3)

-Giants- (lvl:100-250) (0/3)

-Beasts- (lvl:15-30) (0/5)

-Plants- (lvl:15-30) (0/5)

As you can see you have six tabs you can choose from currently, as your level gets higher so too does the dungeon's level and new variants can be unlocked.

"I see, then I'll pick 'Bandit' to start off with" I say as I press the Bandits tab on the screen, doing so makes my body vanish with a 'pop'.

Good hunting User, you'll need it.

Appearing in what looks like a forest with trees taller than any i've seen before I pull up my 'stats' tab.

-Lance/Spear Mastery: (lvl:1/25) (0/150)

Staring at my stats in shock for a while before I snap out of it and start to ponder several things, first the race it says i'm a nord but also something else which is intriguing. Second my class, i'm a fucking berserker of all things to get it was berserker, while its not bad it could be better, the two perks 'Bloodlust' and 'Indomitable' are powerful especialy after they max out. Finally there's the weapons mastery perk, for me to max that out I'll need to use multiple types of weaponry. I was snapped out of my thoughts by an arrow grazing my cheek, causing my hand to fly up to my cheek and look at it.

-5 Health (225/230)

Perk 'Bloodlust' activated!

Third person Pov:

Andre lets out a bellowing warcry causing the Bandit Archer to look on in shock for a brief moment before trying to reload another arrow into his bow. Unfortunately for him, Andre already reached him and brandished his war axe swing with heavy force causing the archer's bow to break and slash deeply into his chest from his left collar bone towards his left lower ribs.

Learned a new attack! Skill: 'Cleave'

Cleave: (lvl:1/10) (0/100) costs 75 stamina. Deliver a devastating blow causing 15 bleed damage over 5 seconds.

Critical! 210 damage dealt

Bandit Archer: (lvl: 5) (dead)

276 EXP gained

You Leveled up!

Andre's Pov:

Well now it looks like my class and perks don't share experience though with 'bloodlust' active 'Indomitable' will soon, I smell smoke which means i'm close to the camp time to see what i'm working with here 'Observe'.

Bandit Archer: (lvl:5) hp:160

Bandit Archer: (lvl:7) hp:180

Bandit Highwaymen: (lvl:10) hp:320

Bandit Pickpocket: (lvl: 7) hp:150

Bandit: (lvl:5) hp:150

Bandit Chief: (lvl:15) hp:510

Ok i can work with this, looking around I grab some peebles from the path and I toss one at the bandit highwayman and pressing myself against a tree waiting to see what happens. "Hey! One of you guys go check that out" "check what out?" "huh what you want this time you idiot" "no, you go check it out". Well looks like they don't like each other all that well, I may be able to work with that but first the highwayman is walking by me now, slowly I begin to follow him with my axe drawn and at the ready. When he stops and turns his head I pull my arm back and swing for his neck using 'cleave'.

Critical! -210 damage

15 Bleed damage has been applied for 5 seconds

Bandit Highwaymen: Hp:110/320

My war axe struck true but it didn't sink in hard enough to strike the spine causing me to move my left hand to cover his mouth when he opened it to scream out in pain. With a grunt I pull out my war axe and swing again, this time my swing embeds itself in his skull causing bone fragments and brain matter to fly about.

-100 damage dealt

Bandit Highwayman defeated!

585 EXP gained

You Leveled up!

Staring at my level up notification for a moment before I shrug and stare down at the body of the Highwayman, I reach down grab the body and drag him into the bushes to my right. Once there I began to loot his body for supplies, what I got was his weapon, a Greatsword, 40 gold septims and some potions, I cast 'Observe'.

Iron Greatsword: Quality: Uncommon, Damage: 55

Requires: Strength: 25 Dexterity: 16 to weild

- A large sword made of iron, ment for two hands. Requires 40 strength to use in one hand.

Health potion: Quality: Poor (x2)

- Restores 25 Hp on use

Stamina potion: Quality: Poor (x1)

- Restores 25 Stamina on use

After that I trek back to the body of the Archer and loot his body for items, I found 13 gold septims and the remnants of the broken bow.

Broken Hunting Bow: Quality: Broken

- Remnants of a hunting bow requires the 'Blacksmith' and 'Carpenter' Sub-classes to repair this.

Now that I'm away from the bandit camp, I check my stats and begin relocating points into my lower stats to balance myself out more. I noticed my Vit, End, and Str are in the 30's so I focused on getting everything else into the 20's except Luck which got one whole point added to it.

I say my stats look pretty balanced if I say so myself, I quickly change out my war axe for my new iron greatsword, placing my war axe and potions in my 'Inventory', I smile as I feel like a new man with my new stats. I should be able to kill quite a few of the bandits in that camp before I face trouble, but to be on the safe side i'll lure out a couple more starting with the archers.

Bandit Chief Pov:

The Highwayman never made it back, should have been the first thing that set off warning bells in my head, but instead I let it be. Then the two Archers got distracted and wandered off together. That was 10 minutes ago and they didn't come back. Now I know we are not alone, as I turn towards the Pickpocket and the Bandit I freeze and stare at what's behind them. It was a massive shadow that dwarfed us, they didn't notice it for they were stuck deeply into they're conversation, I opened my mouth to shout at them only to watch as he swung his greatsword and behead them both. Stepping over their corpses he points his greatsword at me with his left hand and thumps his chest where his heart would be with his right and charges at me.

Andre's Pov:

I felt invigorated as two more bandits fell, which means I've gotten stronger as my attacks start to kill minor enemies now but that still means I have to be wary of stronger enemies and the one in front of me just might be one of them.

Bandit Chief: Lvl:15

An honest to god boss of this camp if I ever saw one, he was wearing heavy armor and had two short swords at his waist ready to be used. As I step over the corpses of his comrades I decide to give him a proper challenge by giving him a salute from a very let's say 'peculiar' game, finishing my 'salute' I use my new skill 'War cry' to cause him to flinch and charge. Upon reaching him, he draws both swords and crosses them to guard as I swing overhead using 'Cleave' causing the ground to shake briefly and kicking up a small amount of dust around his feet. Then began our dance of blades as iron and steel met in a shower of sparks, we both knew that all it would take is one hit for either of us to have the advantage.

The emotion I felt through this bout was euphoric in a way I couldn't describe, but like all good things it must come to an end. He made an error on his part for not noticing his surroundings as he tripped on the body of the Bandit Pickpocket and stumbled backwards, causing my sword thrust to pierce his neck. Now this wasn't the on;y wound received in this fight as he got me good with a couple strikes but with 'Troll Regeneration' and 'Indomitable' active I gained back what was lost.

Blood erupted out of the wound and his mouth as I began to pull my greatsword out; he dropped both of his swords and grabbed the edge of the greatsword. With a sigh I give him some parting words "from one warrior to another I thank you for this great dance of blades." giving him a sad smile I close my eyes for a moment before I use 'Cleave' severing his head and causing it to launch into the air behind the body. As soon as the body hit the ground I made my way to the two corpses to the side and dragged them over to the bandit chiefs corpse and began looting anything of value.

Acquired Loot:

- 257 gold septims

- Hunting Bows (x2)

- Iron Dagger (x2)

- Iron War axe (x1)

- Steel Short Swords (x2)

- Health potions (x3)

- Mana Potions (x1)

- Stamina Potions (x3)

User, I would recommend you return back to Skyrim before you fight something you can't fight.

Hmmm is that so game, well if you suggest it just let me allocate my stats and i'll leave, deal? I ask while storing all my loot in my inventory.

As you wish?

The words going through my head right now are holy, shit. The amount of Vit, End, Str that I have is insane, but that's due to my class 'Berserker'. It gives me 5 points for Vit, End, Str though not that i'm complaining but a lot of fanfics detailing classes always go for the mage classes which is the definition of a glass cannon when the warrior classes guarantee survival right off the bat. As I contemplate the life of every gamer fanfic in existence I disappear with a 'pop'.

Iron War Axe: Rarity: Common, Damage: 36

Requires: Strength: 16 Dexterity: 10 to wield.

A war axe made for cutting and slashing both enemies and wood.

Hadvar's Pov:

We were close to dealing with these two prisoners when we were interrupted by this giant of a man who grabbed both the Captain and I and pushed us back with ease. He simply stood there for a moment, his eyes locking onto both of ours and the prisoners. I've seen that look before in the eyes of the likes of Legate Rikke and General Tullius, he was evaluating our worth, if we were found wanting he may just kill us. My eyes slowly lock onto the eyes of the Captain and I subtly shake my head not to do it, her eyes narrow in anger, her mouth shaped into a snarl as she took a step forward her lips part to bark out what were undoubtedly orders, only for the giants eyes to lock onto hers and his lip part back to reveal a vicious snarl with a even more dangerous growl leaving his lips.

The Captain didn't know the danger of this man, no man doesn't do this man justice. The word I'm looking for is monster, yes monster fits this giant of a man well and he shows it when he takes a large step into the captain's space, grabs her by the neck and throws her into the wall half way across the room. He walks past me stopping only for a moment to utter a word of warning "Don't", I realise what he meant when he said 'Don't' he meant don't interfere while I think on this. I continue to watch as he walks over towards the captain's dazed body, he reaches down and grabs her by the rim of her cuirass and hoists her off her feet and brings her in close to whisper something towards her. By the look on her face the captain is shocked about what she was told and she stares at him in shock as he slowly lowers her down to the ground, once her feet touch the ground he turns around and looks down the corridor to the barracks where we all see the priestess standing there.

Andre's Pov:

"Let's get a move on lass" I say before I turn towards the door leading deeper into the keep, walking past both groups I reach the door, stare at it for a moment before I lift my leg into the air and spartan kick the door inwards, breaking the lock and making the door swing outwards. Turning towards everyone behind me I gesture to the door I just open, saying "If you want to live for another day you'll come with us, if not the dragons right outside those doors." With my peace said I gesture to the priestess to follow as I traverse deeper into the keep.

On our way down we were stopped by the prisoner and the stormcloak who ran down the stairs to catch up to us. "Wait!" exclaims Ralof, huffing for breath "What is it?" I replied back waiting for them to catch their breath. The woman, Freya if I remember correctly is the one who responds back "we wish to go with you two, if that's all right" "fine but stay at the ready and be prepared, this is an Imperial keep after all." With a grunt I continue on walking down the corridor leading to the storage room and prison, as we got to the storage room the hall in front of us collapsed shaking the foundation briefly "damned dragon" I mutter before entering the storage room and finding two Imperials arguing about what they should do.

I didn't give them much of a choice as I used 'Cleave' and sliced both of their heads off as I passed by them, reaching the end of the storage room I stop and turn towards my group and say "gather any thing you'll need here, there should be some potions around here somewhere." I gesture around the room for them to get the idea. It took nearly five minutes for them to find 3 Mana potions, 5 Health potions, and 1 stamina potion, a good haul "lets go" I say as I enter the entrance of the prison and I can already hear sounds of battle.

I pick up the pace and reach the prison to find a Imperial torturer and his assistant fighting two Stormcloaks one of which was the nord woman who sat beside me on the cart. I walk forward past the Stormcloaks and grab the torturer by his neck and lift his frail body into the air letting his feet from the ground, his assistant gets a quick death via an axe to the head, splitting it in two. I left my axe in the assistant's corpse as my other hand joined the one around the torturer's neck and squeezed causing a loud snap to echo through the room. I throw the corpse to the side and turn towards the stormcloaks and my group that was watching me, I raise my arm and say "you all want to get out of here then come with us."

Birin's Pov:

My brother and I made it to the prison in the keep, managing to get past many of the Imperials up above dealing with the dragon, as we approached we heard voices , two to be precise. "Master, I'm hearing a lot of noise coming from the end of that cave that sounds like fighting" one of them said while the other one scoffs back "It's just those Stormcloak idiots that ran by us earlier, ignore it and get back to work" "yes master". Some Stormcloaks got through? It could be Ulfric! He must have come through here with the others. I lock eyes with my brother and give him a nod which he returns, with a battle cry we both charge around the corner, and nearly get electrocuted by the old Imperial while the assistant brandishes his mace ready to strike. Only to be interrupted by a very familiar giant who grabbed the torturer and rammed an axe into the head of the assistant, he turned to the torturer and snapped his neck with ease, then he turned to us, "You all want to get out of here than come with us".

Andre's Pov:

I stare at them waiting for them to reply. I cast 'Observe' on them.

Birnir: Lvl:10, Title: Daughter of Skyrim

Thoughts: grateful for the assistance

Strovid: Lvl: 8 Title: Son of Skyrim

Thoughts: grateful for the assistance

"We will for now at least until we find Ulfric," Birnir replied back, looking at me, nodding to her, we turn to the tunnel and begin to head further in as we enter the room we hear voices shouting at each other. As we enter the room we hear "We need to go! Ulfric ain't here we are wasting our time!" "We should wait! Ulfric could be coming through here any minute!" this was going on and on for like five minutes before they noticed us. They look apprehensive of us until their eyes land on the other Stormcloaks in my group, which causes them to relax slightly.

I walk forward "Fellow kinsmen what are you arguing about?" I felt compelled to ask even if I knew the answer, a female nord in the back looks annoyed at the two recently arguing "these two idiots are arguing over if Ulfric will come through here, have you seen him at all so these two can shut up" she looks up at me with a bored look on her face. "Yes in fact I believe he went through the south gate with a group of stormcloaks, why?" I look as the two 'idiots' look at me in shock before one of the grins and shouts "hah!, I knew I was right now let's get out of here already" he turns to me with a grin on his face and says "thanks kinsmen when we get out of here i'll buy you a drink at the nearest inn".

With that done we all decided to stick together and the rest of the journey is pretty much a cake walk, with a few bumps in the road such as the seven frostbite spiders the size of dogs with one being the size of a horse and the cave bear den, which had three, count them THREE! Cave bears, two parents and one cub. The spiders were easy to kill as we had several archers in the group, one did manage to bite me though, also found out that the dragonborn is an archer of all things. For the cave bears I had everyone sneak past them one by one, I might like a good fight but I don't want my face torn off in three seconds. Other than that we made it out without a hitch and we were free.
