Seven Tails
The Nine-tails Clone's hand exploded into Disonasu, killing him instantly and sending him flying. Then, the clone leapt off of the tower at Naruto. It crashed heavily to the ground, Naruto avoiding it, and a second after it had landed, Ryuu, Itachi, and Sasuke all formed their Susanoo, Ryuu firing a Susanoo Tsukumo down into its back, Sasuke firing a massive, purple arrow from his Susanoo's bow, and Itachi firing three Yasaka Magatama string into a circle. The attacks all hit their mark and the clone shrieked in agony before three of the tail heads whipped around, exploding into the three Susanoo and shattering them, sending the Uchiha exploding into the ground hard. Ryuu flipped back to his feet, narrowing his eyes at the clone.
"That thing's going to be a problem," Ryuu said.
"Agreed," Itachi nodded, he and Sasuke pushing themselves back up and dusting themselves off.
Naruto charged at the clone with a Rasenshuriken, however, before he could use it, one of the tails tore along the ground, smashing him aside and making the Rasenshuriken fade before another head caught him by the arm. Instantly a head grabbed him by every limb, holding him over the clone's main head, which opened its mouth wide. Ryuu shot forward, but before he could reach Naruto, the clone fired a massive, blood red laser up through Naruto's gut. The clone dropped him and swung a tail down to crush him, only for Ryuu to flash past, taking him away from the clone and landing off to the side as Itachi and Sasuke's Susanoo began to battle the clone using their swords. Itachi tried to stab and seal the clone, but it seemed to know what his sword could do, somehow because it was very careful not to let the blade reach it. And even between the two of them, they were unable to keep up with the clone's seven tails, arms, and lasers, which all of the mouths seemed able to fire, and which punched through a Susanoo effortlessly, it seemed.
As the fight continued, Ryuu continued to fly, struggling to avoid the Nine-tails Clone's lasers while also healing Naruto. As the lasers blasted the ground over and over, the ground began to collapse, leaving a massive, growing chasm behind, all of the others who couldn't fly only barely managing to keep from falling. Then, all of a sudden, boiling chakra began to explode off of Naruto, forcing Ryuu to drop him as the wound sealed itself and glowing red lines like sealing script spread over Naruto's body. Naruto fell toward the chasm, but within seconds of having fallen into it, a pair of massive, glowing gold chakra hands shot up out of the chasm and caught the edge, flinging Naruto out of it in a massive, golden chakra shroud of the Nine-tails with six of his tails present. The shroud stood about as tall as Ryuu's Susanoo, making it roughly equal to the Nine-tails Clone for size. Naruto and the chakra shroud both roared in effort and shot forward, attacking the clone as Sasuke and Itachi retreated to a relatively safe distance to watch in shock and confusion. The two masses of Tailed Beast chakra beat and tore at each other, every strike from the clone scattering and deforming Naruto's shroud, only for it to reform, and every strike from Naruto sending the clone reeling.
The clone managed to slam all seven tails into Naruto's shroud at once, nearly dispersing it altogether, only for an arm to burst out of the front, grabbing the clone's main head by the throat before the rest of the shroud reformed and drilled a punch into the clone's face, rocking it backward hard. Naruto punched it again and its front feet came up off of the ground. Then, with one more punch Naruto sent it flying backward into a cliff face.
"What kind of transformation is that?" Ryuu asked Fu as she landed.
"I don't know," Fu said, shaking her head. "Neither does Chomei. It's definitely Kurama's chakra, but he doesn't know what kind of transformation that is."
"Maybe it's what happens when Kurama's Jinchuriki is in charge," Isobu suggested. "Or it could just be because it's Naruto."
Ryuu passed the theory along, but they had no proof, so it remained as just a theory. As the brawl continued, more and more lasers shot outward from the clone, ripping the ground apart. One particularly focused volley tore through Naruto and ripped a massive section of the ground apart, nearly dropping Dokku and Shiseru, who were running toward the control device.
"Fu, go wait with the children," Ryuu said. "Keep them safe."
Fu nodded and turned, flying away while Ryuu kept his eyes on the fight, waiting to help if needed. The Clone focused all eight of its lasers at once after a few more minutes and blasted the entirety of Naruto's shroud away, but Naruto simply roared and reformed it, the shroud's roar joining his. Naruto formed several more arms to help hold the tails back and keep them from blasting him and drilled a punch into the main head twice, tearing it completely free. However, Ryuu narrowed his eyes. His Mangekyo Sharingan watched as Naruto grinned, tiny cracks beginning to form on his skin, spreading from the sealing script running over his body. Suddenly, as Naruto continued to beat the clone, he began to laugh as the usual crimson chakra Naruto used with the Nine-tails Cloak began to explode up from below him, rapidly filling the shroud. The shroud began to grow and solidify, turning dark red with white bones showing inside of it. It began to expand as a new tail grew. Soon, it twice the size it had been under Naruto's control, twice the side of the clone. Kurama growled, looking around at Ryuu as his Susanoo formed around him, the legs straightening from the crouch they formed at as Ryuu floated up into the Susanoo's chest. After a moment, Itachi and Sasuke both landed beside him, both also wearing their full-body Susanoo.
Kurama roared and lunged, swiping his claws at them, and the three Uchiha scattered before all streaking forward, drilling a punch into Kurama. He sailed backward, exploding to the ground and rolling backward to his feet before bending forward, his tails flashing out and swiping down at them. Itachi blocked his with the Yata Mirror, Sasuke crossed his arms over his head to block the one aimed at him, and Ryuu dodged aside from the tail that swiped at him, then shot forward slamming a foot upward into Kurama's face, knocking him backward. He followed the kick up with a punch, but before he could strike again, Kurama roared, slamming a Tailed Beast Shockwave into him and hurling him into the other two Uchiha, all three's Susanoo fading. As they stood, Kurama charged, striking at them rapidly and forcing them to retreat back toward the tower.
"Should we have Kurama destroy the tower?" Ryuu asked.
"No!" Itachi shouted over the crashes of Kurama's attacks. "We don't know what effect that will have! Once we get enough distance, we'll try to hold him off again!"
Ryuu nodded and shot forward with the Body Flicker Technique, landing ahead of them and forming his Susanoo, only for a Tailed Beast Shockwave to instantly explode into him, destroying the Susanoo and sending him exploding into the ground beside the others.
"Ryuu!" Fu gasped, kneeling beside him.
"I'm alright," Ryuu groaned, pushing himself up. "Kurama's strong."
"No kidding," Fu nodded. "Should I try to help?"
"No," Ryuu said. "He's at seven tails. Even if you transformed fully, there's no guarantee you'd be able to match him, and we still don't know if you using your Tailed Beast Cloak at all, let alone to transform fully, will affect our child."
Fu nodded. Suddenly, the clone unleashed a volley of lasers, one blasting into Kurama's back, one narrowly missing Shiseru and Dokku, and one narrowly missing Ryuu and the others. Ryuu turned to Shiseru and Dokku just as Dokku grabbed Shiseru's hand, catching her as the ground below her fell away. Ryuu exploded off of the ground, his wings forming mid-jump, and raced toward the pair as Sasuke and Itachi finally managed to reform their Susanoo, both charging at the Nine-tails Clone as Yamato formed enormous wooden beams to hold Kurama down. As he reached them and pulled Shiseru up, quickly relocating and numbing her shoulder, he looked back at Fu to see her flying toward Kurama and Naruto with Mina. More of the ground began to collapse and Ryuu narrowed his eyes.
"What, is the entirety of the Hole hanging over a cavern?" Ryuu asked.
"It's possible," Shiseru said.
Ryuu looked over to Sasuke and Itachi, seeing them fighting the Nine-tails Clone hard, but having to abandon and reform their Susanoo quickly, rapidly burning themselves out in doing so. Sasuke's Mangekyo Sharingan were even beginning to bleed from overuse, since he wasn't as experienced or powerful as Itachi. Ryuu's head snapped around to Kurama as he broke free of Yamato's restraints and roared. Just as he did, Fu and Mina reached them. Kurama moved to swipe at them, only for Mina's hair to suddenly float up around her head. Then, Kurama froze. For a long moment, he remained motionless. Then, the chakra began to recede, sinking back into Naruto until he was in Version Two with four tails, but with the bones still visible. Mina held her hand out to them, her hair no longer floating, and Naruto stared at her silently for a long while. Then, all at once, the blood red chakra burst off of him, leaving him standing upright again, covered by a flickering, golden, chakra shroud that was partially transparent, had a black seal spread over his body in curved lines and circles, and golden chakra flicking off of his shoulders and head like flames. The chakra seemed to be running over his body in waves, sometimes thick enough to obscured and sometimes thin enough to be transparent. From what Ryuu could see, every time the chakra passed in front of his eyes, they turned a golden orange for a moment.
Suddenly, there was a thundering crash behind him and he spun, forming his Susanoo's ribs around himself, Shiseru, and Dokku in time for the Nine-tails clone to smash a tail into them, flinging them all. Ryuu took the brunt of the hit and shot through the air, flipping and landing beside Naruto, Naruto catching him.
"Mama!" Mina shrieked, arm outstretched toward Shiseru and Dokku. "Papa!"
"I've got them!" Ryuu said, activating the Body Flicker Technique and exploding forward with his wings.
However, just as soon as he caught Dokku, he glanced at Shiseru in time for Naruto to flash past, catching her and landing on the cliff face beside Ryuu a split second after he landed.
"What the..." Ryuu stared at him in shock.
"Naruto!" Shiseru gasped.
"Fuck man," Ryuu said. "I'm supposed to be the fast one."
"Then stop holding back," Naruto shrugged.
Ryuu smirked and shook his head, flying back up to the control device with Dokku.
"Shut off the Ama no Hoko," Ryuu said.
"Yes!" Dokku said, running for the metal rod he'd dropped when he caught Shiseru.
The Nine-tails clones heads all swung around and fired their lasers at Dokku just as he grabbed the rod, but when the blasts hit, Ryuu skidded to a stop beside Shiseru with Dokku over his shoulder and the control device in his free hand.
"Naruto, let's go," Ryuu said.
"I'll handle this," Naruto said. "I can do it this time."
Ryuu glanced at him and nodded, smiling. "Go get him."
Naruto shot forward and leapt into the air, sailing toward the Nine-tails Clone rapidly. The clone fired a volley at Naruto, but he flipped and spun past them, actually pressing on the side of one to flip, then blocked the last with a Rasengan, dispersing the laser. He kicked off of one head and shot into the air, the chakra shroud forming an arm behind himself that hovered opposite his outstretched hand. He formed a Rasengan in his hand using the Chakra Arm, then began to channel Kurama's chakra into it. It rapidly turned dark purple-blue like a Tailed Beast Ball as small spheres of violet chakra began to form around it and sink into it. The Nine-tails Clone began to send its tails at him to try and stop him, but he flipped and spun around them, kicking off of one to speed himself up. Then, he drove it into the clone's back. It shrieked in agony instantly, the tails all rearing upward, then began to turn pale white and stopped, seeming to freeze in place. Then, as Dokku pressed the controls at the center of the white device, the ends of the rods all lit up one at a time from left to right before the spinning panels on the tower began to slow and the beam of chakra coming from the top began to shrink out of existence. The tower's lights all faded as the panels retracted back to the tower again. Ryuu looked to the clone again as it began to crumble away to dust and blow away in the gentle breeze. Above them, the clouds began to clear, the sun shining through.
Ryuu sighed, smiling, and formed a clone for everyone, flying them all out of the Hole together, Naruto moving to meet them, no longer with the Chakra Cloak. As soon as Mina arrived, Mina rushed forward and hugged him, the rest of the children mobbing him just behind her, knocking her over. Hinata walked over after a moment, convincing them to let him up and helping him stand before kissing him.
"I'm glad you're okay," Hinata smiled.
"It'll take a lot more than that to kill me," Naruto smiled.
"We should get back to town," Ryuu said. "I need to report in to Tsunade, and we could all use some rest."
Everyone nodded and they all turned, starting back toward town. After Ryuu had given Tsunade a full report, with some help from Dokku about the specifics about the Ama no Hoko and its control device, and with the other Jonin filling in their parts, they rested in the town for a couple days before everyone going with the Jinchuriki left for the port again. As per Tsunade's instructions, the Ama no Hoko's control device was taken back to Konoha with the others to be sealed away somewhere secret. Before they left, everyone congratulated Dokku and Shiseru on their marriage and plans to officially adopt the children. Then, they all left.
