A/N: How's it going everybody!
Notes at the end of the fic, on how I dealt with this.
Anyways, here we go!
In the deep space of the Hub World, a red and yellow airship was cruising along, while taking out any hostile lifeforms along the way.
As the airship was making its way, the occupants inside were just having a conversation, all while one of them was clinging on tightly on an artifact.
"Gee, this sure is taking a while, huh?" A youth questioned, while he looked to the artifact he was holding tightly. "I wonder if we'll ever find the place."
"Just be patient there, Sora." An anthropomorphic dog clad in green and yellow assured. "Master Yen Sid did say that we'll know when we finally find it."
"I get it Goofy, but Master Yen Sid sure can be rather cryptic at times." Sora paused, before he looked to the artifact. "Still, as cryptic as he is sometimes, he sure trusts me to a great deal, if he was more than willing to hand this over to me."
"Wait, I see something right ahead." A raspy voice blurted out, catching the attention of both Goofy and Sora. The voice belonging to an anthropomorphic duck, this time clad in what seems to be a mix between a sailor's outfit, and a mage's outfit.
"Really? Where Donald?" Sora was the first to blurt out.
"There!" Donald pointed out. Looking into where Donald's fingers were pointing, the duo now see what looks like a greenish rip in space, surrounded by teal squares. It was also at this point, that the artifact began glowing, which Sora noticed.
"This must be it then," Sora started, noticing that the artifact was now glowing. "Let's go then!"
A Little While Later
"Seems rather strange, don't you think?" Sora began, once the Gummi Ship was parked, and they all got off.
"Yeah," Donald agreed. "Something's screwy around here."
"Well, I doubt it can be any stranger than all the other places that we've been through."
"Well, better get going then," Sora decided, as he passed through. However, as he was well across, Sora heard a sudden thud, then the voice of Goofy saying "Uh… Sora, something's wrong here."
Turning back, Sora could see that his friends were still at the entrance, but for some reason, the portal wasn't allowing them to pass through. As the duo tried to push their way through, the portal's entrance simply rippled with each try.
"Donald! Goofy!" Sora rushed back in concern.
"Hey! What's the big idea?" Donald grunted in slight frustration, as he forced his way across.
"What's going on?" Sora asked again, as he reached out, and held his friends' tight, trying with all his might to get them through, but once again, nothing was happening.
"It seems that only you can get across Sora." Goofy finally realized.
"But how come only me?"
"Didn't Master Yen Sid say something about this?"
Flashback Start
"Remember Sora," Yen Sid began. "Once you find this place, only you can get through there. Donald and Goofy will have to wait."
"And why is that? Why can't they come with me?" Sora questioned.
"The rules of this world in particular are rather strange. But, when the artifact was handed to me, they stated that it was due to circumstances outside of their control." Yen Sid explained. "Not only that, but fragments from our world, as well as many others have somehow made their way there, as well as some of the essence of our allies as well."
"Then that means Riku might be there, and maybe Kairi and Roxas as well." Sora guessed. "Then we'd better get going then."
Flashback End
"Oh yeah," Sora remembered. "I was so pre-occupied with looking for this place that I had completely forgot about it."
"Well, I guess this is where our paths separate for the time being." Goofy said. "Go on, have a great time there."
"Yeah!" Donald chimed.
"But…" Sora hesitated, "What about you two? What will you two do while I'm gone?"
"Ah, don't you worry about us one bit." Goofy assured. "We'll find something to keep us occupied."
"Go have fun there." Donald finished.
Sora looked to his friends for a while, a smile forming on his face, before finally saying "All right then, here goes nothing.", before rushing on ahead.
And as soon as Sora continued ahead, he vanished.
Later
As Sora continued to rush ahead, he suddenly made a stop, realizing that his appearance has once again changed.
"Huh?" Sora began, startled. "I knew that my appearance might change somehow, but this is not what I was expecting at all."
By sheer coincidence, just where he stopped, was a mirror, and reflected in the mirror was himself, but wearing the exact same outfit that he wore when he first started his adventure.
To add more into Sora's confusion, a voice began to speak to him.
"Welcome, Sora."
"Huh?" Sora began in shock, before manifesting his Keyblade. "Who's there?"
"Worry not, he who was chosen by the Keyblade, I am Master Hand, and it was I who had asked for you." As Master Hand finished, he manifested into existence.
"A talking hand?" Sora noticed, before regaining himself. "Called for me? For what? Heartless?"
"No. No Heartless has been spotted here." Master Hand stated. "What you have in your hand is a prestigious envelope given to only a select few. I take it you haven't heard of it yet?"
"You mean this artifact? Is this what this is? No, not really. Haven't really heard of it honestly." Sora held up what was now revealed to be the Smash Envelope, complete with the signature red smash seal.
"Yes. You are in the world of Smash Bros., a fighting tournament." Master Hand explained.
"You mean like in Olympus Coliseum?"
"Something like that, but it's more or less a casual encounter, and nothing too serious."
"But what about my friends?" Sora remembered. "Kairi, Riku, Roxas. Master Yen Sid told me that they were here."
"In a way they are, but not in any real harm. Only an essence of them is present."
"Is that so? Well, I better help them then, then maybe have a bit of fun afterwards."
"Then get going then. The world of Smash awaits."
"All right. Here we go!"
As Sora rushed ahead, while Master Hand manifested out of existence, a stage manifests unto the screen, while a group of platforms appear, each holding up the letters S, M, A, S, H, V, I, L, L, and E float into place, while a red sphere burns in place, before dousing the flames, and splitting in four.
SMASHVILLE
A/N: And we're clear!
Wow. This was hell to right. I'll admit, Kingdom Hearts is a series that I tried (emphasis on the word try) so hard to get into, but just couldn't. I'd play a good amount, before losing interest, and moving on to other games.
Yet, for some reason, I enjoyed Birth by Sleep, ironically, the one that Sora isn't in.
I tried the best I could, so I hope I did well enough.
As for why I wrote this, even though the Sora in Smash hype is already dead, that's because the one who was suppose to do it never did (probably because they hate the idea of Sora in Smash, or KH lore is hard to understand), so I took it into my own hands. Again, I hope I did well enough.
Anyways, until the next fic, BYE!
