A calm wind brushed effortlessly through the lofty grass plains stretching until the purple horizon, a distant moon perches itself upon the clear nights sky. Amidst the picturesque landscape a boy no older than ten lays, his dulcet tone lays claim to the area surrounding him as his euphonious intonation claims authority and superiority over the kingdom in which he basks in, the nature as though acknowledging his superiority bows gracefully to their perceived king. The ballad in which he sings whilst unable to be truly perceived by the human ear still appears as a harmonious sound only to be compared with the finest of music dating to the 1700s in human history where perfection was engraved into each tone.

Suddenly, with a great roar the area was consumed as the song had reached its climax. Instantaneously. A deep silence lay claim upon the land, as if resonating with this new change in atmosphere the boy adopts a more relaxed disposition his aristocratic features on full display as his neatly cut jet black hair sways gently in the wind, his piercing cold purple eyes shone brightly as when gazed upon for to long any man would feel as though a foreboding sense of doom as they told a great story of a boy who had already seen much of the cruel world in he inhabited.

A darting figure interrupts the placid atmosphere. This lone figure gracefully glides through the tall grass.instinctively, it bows upon confronting the young boy as the silhouette now revealed to be a woman adorned in a old fashioned maids outfit synonymous with Victorian England. Now returned to her dutiful disposition the lady appearing to be in her early twenties looks up to her assumed lord where a gentle smile encroached upon her expressionless face

"I figured you would be out here though I must say you gave us at the castle quite the runaround ". She lets out a light giggle as she appears to be amused by the situation before here. "It is peaceful" The boy nonchalantly responds with never turning to face the maid merely gazing upon the distant moons. "I shall not disagree with you there my lord, a hundred years ago and I to would have enjoyed such a simple activity". The maid spoke her cold features now replaced with a sense of happiness when reminiscing about her past endeavours however her eyes told a different story sadness?, loneliness? Only she would know for sure. "Why?". The boy spoke with more authority in his voice demanding a answer. "Why what my lord?". The maid asked clearly confused and unsure how to answer the boy. "Why would you stop gazing at the moon, laying on the grass, allowing nature to ease your mind from the burdens this world offers?" The boy asked calm yet seemingly interested the maid sighed sitting down next to the boy who had now turned to face her staring intently as though analysing her every move and feeling. "Unfortunately my lord I... I do not know when I stopped caring about these things" She stopped herself from continuing before almost pressuring herself to carry on. "I believe as we grow older my lord we...we grow distant from such things you gaze at the moon where I think of it as a artificial creation to appease the newly reincarnated as a way for them to hold onto some source of normality, I think of grass only to be cut to keep our gardens pristine and nature as foundations for great castles to be placed upon as you grow I assume you'll begin to see this as-well my lord."

Believing there was mo more to discuss the maid began to return in the direction in which she had originally appeared from before uttering one last sentence to the boy. "Come now lord Zekram shall be arriving soon I assume he will be eager to lay eyes upon the great kings successor especially one considered the newest generations super devil in the making". The maid chuckling to herself on the last part before returning to her emotionless facade. "Come Lucian let us go back to the castle now before dusk settles I assure you you will not want to miss the chefs specialty that they are putting on tonight". The boy rose rose now standing marching with a fixed gaze upon the castle in which he resides "Very well" The boy believing no more needed to be seed continued his decent upon the castle as the maid walks behind matching his pace precisely as the moons omnipresent shadow reigns upon the two.
