Prologue
I.
"Shego! Shego!" Doctor Drakken shouted at the top of his lungs. "What is the status of Kim Possible's whereabouts!? Shouldn't she have arrived by now?" Drakken balled his fists to his side ranting. "I want to see her crushed!" He was impatient. This was his moment. After all the meticulous planning he had gone through. Stealing Kim Possible's father away from her. Stealing the scientific knowledge directly from his head. It was all coming together just as he wanted.
"We're tracking her along the main state route Doctor D! She's approaching fast. ETA, sixteen minutes!" Shego shouted back, standing over his henchmen at their stations. Shego put his nemesis on the main monitor. She was zooming down the road on what seemed to be a modified scooter.
Kim Possible had already caught on to Drakken's plan and destroyed the first relay station, effectively shutting down the Diablos in the Middleton area. With his plan to eliminate the young heroine early on foiled, he had prepared a surprise for her at his headquarters. Now he simmered in malicious joy, enjoying the waiting game. Soon she would be in his clutches and he would force her to watch as he took over the world.
"Is everything in place for her arrival?" Drakken asked clasping his hands fervently. He was like a child impatiently waiting to open a present.
"I just need to wait for her at the entrance. With the Diablos ruling the skies and the ground, she can't jump in or sneak in. She has to come through the front door, where I'll be waiting…" Shego trailed off grinning snidely from ear to ear. She was also high on anticipation, eagerly awaiting her teen rival's downfall.
"No, call off the Diablos from this area and put them on alert. I want her to think she has the advantage. Lure her into a false sense of security, then we'll have her cornered when she least expects it."
Shego was shocked by his orders but pleased by the Doc's confidence. This wasn't his usual foolish confidence. This was different, he had depth. He really had changed. Ever since he had journeyed to the Congo and entered a mysterious cave in the depths of the dense jungle. When she had gone with him, he had seemed nervous and fraught with anxiety. When he came out, he was a new man. He had become self-assured and more assertive. He was more cunning and elusive than he had been before. Now he found himself two steps ahead and the endgame was approaching its zenith.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the quiet dinging sound coming from the console below her. A small red light flashed right above the keypad. A transmission? She thought. Who would be contacting Doctor D at a time like this? Shego was confused. Doctor Drakken had all but purged the former corporate officials of Bueno Nacho. He had placed underlings to deal with all the rabble of the business. So who? Who was contacting Doctor Drakken? "Doctor D! You have an incoming transmission. Source unknown... we can't identify the source?" It was even more puzzling.
Shego looked back. For the first time in weeks, the doctor's demeanor had changed. All the confidence had simply vanished, replaced by an air of uncertainty and anxiety. Just from a transmission? Shego wondered who in the world could make Doctor Drakken like this. The only person she could think of was Kim Possible. He was just gloating about her demise a minute ago. His mother, Shego thought to herself. It must be her.
The Doctor hung his head taking a deep sigh, confusing his longtime sidekick. He slowly paced back and forth at the top of the room. "Make sure you're ready for Kim Possible's arrival. I'll return by the time you should have captured her." He said turning away walking out of the room.
II.
The knob turned and the door to a dark room creaked open. Drakken's shadowy figure stepped through the entrance. He quietly closed the door behind him. Small dim lights lining the coving came on as he stepped forward toward a small circular mesa in the center of the room. The outer edge of the mesa was lit by an eerie dim blue pulsating light. He was contacting him again and he needed to answer, lest his power be stripped from under him. He put his hand to the mesa opening the connection, a blue hologram of a cloaked figure appearing in front of him.
"Doctor Drakken…" the grave voice echoed through the dark room. The only visible feature was the figure's lower face. Drakken didn't know who he truly was with the cowl masking his true identity. When he had first met the mysterious man, it wasn't in person. He had met his aide on the dark streets of Jakarta. Drakken was given funds, a sponsor to continue his hobby of evil-doing. He was given an invitation to meet the mysterious donor in the Congo. Even there in a dark cave in the depths of the jungle he never got a hint of who he was.
"Yes my lord. Um… everything is going as you have planned. Stealing the Hephaestus Project from Dr. Possible was the greatest idea-"
"Doctor Drakken!" The ominous figured growled. "The Hephaestus project was not to be activated nor was it your duty to do so. Your duty was to bring the stolen Hephaestus project to me and include it in Gemini's arsenal. Your only other job was to capture Ron Stoppable."
"Well, you see sir… I… uh, used the activation of the Diablos to draw them in. The distraction wasn't working because the sidekick was always suspicious in the first place."
"You needed only wait for the opportune moment and seize upon it. Obviously, patience isn't your virtue Doctor. I even sent one of my assassins to deal with Kim Possible." Doctor Drakken's small clenched hands began to shake with rage. He had never been put as a number two before. "Capturing the boy was your only other objective after gaining the secrets of the Hephaestus Project."
"Or… or since you foolishly gave me the tools to take over the world. I can make Kim Possible and her doofy sidekick watch as I crush and enslave the world for myself!" Drakken cackled with a giant grin. He didn't care anymore. What power did this shadowy figure have over him when he was half a world away? What was he going to do to him? Drakken grinned snidely at the hooded figure. "Next time you should realize who you're dealing with!"
The figure scowled at Drakken. "You will regret this Doctor. I promise you. Pray that Kim Possible defeats you tonight because if she doesn't I will have your head."
The transmission cut out and the lights slowly brightened lighting the room up. Drakken shook his head and straightened the bright blue business suit he had on. He turned around and tsked, "Who does he take me for? Ha! I'll make Shego note that down. If anything, I'll have his head." Drakken shook his head and walked out of the room, not knowing what he had just done.
III.
"Father. Let me go and deal with this scum. I won't bring his head, I'll bring his blue hide as a trophy," an eager young girl voiced. She was athletic with long blond hair put up into a loose ponytail. Her flawless fair skin glowed in the dim light of the rising sun on the horizon. Her hazel eyes were fraught with anger over the transmission her father had just ended. She tugged at the light armor of her black bodysuit trying to even out a kink as they ambled on a walkway through the London high rises.
"No my, daughter. Do not fret over trivial things. The good doctor will be dealt with accordingly. We have other matters to attend to," The father was taller, just as athletic as his daughter. He walked a certain way that was different, almost unique to him. To the untrained eye, one might think the man was injured but he was anything but. Instead, the man had had his body modified to his personal benefit. To the community at large, most around the world use to know him as Monte Fiske, a secretive Lord that lived in Scotland's remote highlands. Now however he was known as the crazed villain Monkey Fist.
"But Father, he knows too much. If Ron and his friend Kim Possible thwart him, he'll be put into custody. You don't think he would keep his mouth shut, do you? He'll save his skin first. He'll throw you to the wolves if it helps him," the daughter protested.
"There is no need to fear such matters," Monkey Fist pulled the cowl down revealing his face. "I already have agents in place to deal with the good doctor." Monkey Fist grinned while standing in the stale cool air above London. High above the skyline, Diablos flew through the air, the result of Drakken's treachery. "Drakken's misdeeds have helped us in more ways than one. We now know all the world's military capabilities and how they will react to something like this. Besides, Drakken doesn't know it's me behind the mask."
"That might be true. Still, will you let this go unpunished father?" the girl asked looking admirably at her father. She was disgusted with the fact that someone had the audacity to be given so much privilege by her father and then show such contempt. The nerve of some people astounded her. In her eyes, the only solution was to rule with an iron fist.
"Do not worry my love. Soon the day will turn to night and we shall rule once again. Everything before you. The armies of this world and beyond. They will all fall under your control. It won't matter whose side everyone chooses in the end for you will control all their fates, my dear. Everything before you will be yours. Even the stars above and the elements below will bend to your will."
The young girl smiled looking up at her father. "It's good to see that you've finally remembered your promise all those years ago, father. I won't ever let you down. Together, we shall make take the Earth and the stars above."
