As I turned around to the gruff looking man, I wondered who he was and how he got there. He was about six feet tall, with long and messy black hair that matched his eyes. He wore baggy black clothes and a very large grey scarf. He had his hands in his pockets and stood in a slouched position.

"You did hear All Might say that you can't use your Quirk without proper registration, twice, did you not?" He asked, that same monotone voice making me wonder if that was his regular voice or if he was just being... sacastic?

I clasped my hands behind my back and bowed at him slightly, silently apologizing.

"Are you gonna speak?" He asked, I looked up at him. He wore a questioning expression and I realized that he wouldn't say anything until he had an answer.

I grabbed my notebook and pencil and scribbled something on the paper as fast as I could, whilst still making it readable.

"I can't talk, otherwise I would destroy everything in this gosh darn surrounding area." It said, he read it and looked at me.

"Ah, I see. You can't control your Quirk, can you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. I shook my head and he sighed. "Well, if that's the case, then maybe you'll be let off easier."

I gave him a questioning look and wrote something down in my notebook. I showed it to him, "What do you mean?"

"Well, you can't expect something not to happen, you did just destroy half of the street." He pointed out. I opened my mouth and closed it immediately.

"Listen, kid, you're probably not gonna have to do time. But you're parents qre probably going to have to pay a fine for the property damage." He said, when he mentioned my parents I winced slightly and he noticed. "Speaking of, do you know where your parents are?"

"..." I didn't write or say anything at this. I stared down at my shoes, the same way someone would stare at a person they hate.

He raised an eyebrow at this and we stood there for a minute or two before I took a deep breath and wrote something down in my notebook. I held it out for him too read and his eyes widened slightly as he did.

"My parents are dead."
