"Oh, hell, no."
I growled as I watched two grown-ups wrestle Plagg to the ground. Tikki practically sits on his head to calm him down...although I believe it could have been something sexual.
"How in God's name did you blow up a church!?" Tikki shouted as Plagg tries to escape underneath her.
"It wasn't a church, it was a funeral home!"
"Next to a church!?"
"No one was there!"
"What are you blowing up funeral homes for?" I asked as I set my book bag down.
"I had! This dead guy had something in his body so I went in to get it. But as I sewed his stomach back up, all the emboldly fluids started to come up and make a mess. Next thing you know, the family comes, the casket lid falls over and breaks!"
"So instead of cleaning it up, your first thought is to blow up an entire building with a weeping family inside it?"
"No one died."
"Now, you know you're going to burn up in hell for that," Tikki says as she gets off him. With a chuckle and a skip, Plagg was on his feet walking towards me.
"Oh please, I am already on God's shit list for killing Nazi sleeper assassins during World War 2.1 after Operation GLADIO."
"Nazi sleepers?" Tikki asked.
"World War 2.1?" I asked.
"Operation GLADIO!?" Noroo shouted in shock.
"What's Operation GLADIO?" I asked.
"Basically America, Europe, and a bunch of former Nazi demonstrating to the world why history will always repeat itself," Noroo explained.
"Why are you people shocked, you know I used to be part of the US Military," Plagg asked.
"What division?" Tikki asked.
"The one where we kept secrets." He chuckled before disappearing behind the corner. Much to my dismay.
"And your conferable sleeping in the same house as him?" I asked.
"Ha! God no! I live in a condo!" Tikki laughed. "Sleeping in the same building with him is like Russian roulette. You don't know who will die but you know one of you will have your brains on the floor."
"You're my role model," I muttered.
"And a dam good one! By the way, Gabriel wants to see you, something about the Neon show?" Tikki informed me. Nodding my head, I proceeded towards Gabriel's office. Passing Plagg in the process, who was looking out a window that was a clear view of the city. His green eyes scanning a particular building. A cigarette in his hand as smoke slips past his lips. Plagg may be the weirdest of the adults here, but he is also the smartest. Don't let his behavior fool you, not one bit.
"How is Gabriel?" I asked, Plagg didn't turn to look at me.
"Dead Inside," Plagg responded in a dead-pan like voice. Since Adrien left, all Plagg ever thought about was if Adrien was fine. The black-haired druggy has always been with Adrien since he was a kid, so being separated from him must be hard.
"How do you feel?" I asked.
"Dead Inside." He responded before turning his head to look at me. "How do you feel, knowing that your lover is fucking your enemy?"
"Fuck you!" I growled at him before marching over to Gabriel's office. I could hear Plagg let out a low laugh...whimper? Something as I leave the area. I couldn't figure it out. Out of everyone in this house, Plagg was the weirdest! But, I think that's because he is scared for Adrien.
"Yea...you too." He muttered. Or rather that was the last thing I heard when I entered Gabriel's office. The room smelled of vodka mixed with body odor you make when you go to the gym. The place had papers on the floor, smashed statues, and even glass. Guess Gabriel had another mental breakdown, he's been having a lot.
"Gabriel?" I asked. The man was sitting at his desk, muttering something. Looking up to me, I could see the stress getting to him. His hair was a mess, he had razor burns on the left side of his cheek. His eyes were bloodshot red and he smelled horrible. Not to mention the terrible drawing of designs he did.
"Mari...nette!" He spoke, oh no, he was drunk. "I been wai...ting for yuou! *hic* I have an idea...for bunny...costumes! Perfect for the holiday!"
"Gabriel, its February," I tell him as I dig into my bookbag. Grabbing my notebook, I throw it on his desk. "Here are today's designs. Look through them and pick one to use for the fashion High Light magazine."
"Are you sure?" He asked me. Personally, I hated myself for doing this, but Gabriel is a broken man right now. Since Adrien left, the legendary designer hasn't created a piece of work since. And that was the first month, the second month was the worst. That's when Chloe took Adrien's phone, I assume, so that Adrien could stop calling him. Now look at him, broken and distract, this man is a ball of confusion, anxiety, and just depression. All he does is drink and smoke all day, surprised his liver hasn't tried to kill him yet.
"Just get the work done and put the money into my account," I tell him before leaving the office. Throwing my bag over my shoulder, I passed Plagg again. Only this time he was standing up staring back at me.
"Did you hear the news?" He asked me, stopping me in my tracks. Handing me his phone, I skim the article he was reading, and to my surprise I was breathless.
"Chloe was pregnant, why am I not surprise," I growled. "The boy could never keep it in his pants."
"Now you know that's a dam lie," Plagg growled to me before snatching his phone out of my hand. "I know Adrien, and I know about his promise to his mouth. No matter how vile and nasty he is, promises and loyalty are best traits."
"Why don't you add betrayal and heartbreaking to that list of things," I growled. "Besides, he's not here helping with the Akuma."
"Speaking of the Akuma!" Plagg shouted, changing the subject a bit. "Gabriel is closing the nightclub down, apparently without Chat Noir, that place really isn't nothing."
"Like Adrien, that is none of my business." I chuckled. "My job here is to be Gabriel's assistance, you know since the last one bailed!"
"Prison is a scary thing," Plagg explained to me. All I know from what happened to this Nat woman is that she took all of that cocaine in the attic and disappeared. My personal guess is that she was a spy, the others don't believe me though. What else is new in this house.
"I am going home, I have homework to do and a carton of ice cream to finish," I tell Plagg before walking past him. The old male stared down the back of my head. Well, I didn't know he was watching me, but I can feel it.
"You know!" She shouted, again, stopping me in my tracks. I was so close to the door too!
"You have so much potential Marinette, to see you waste it away is such a heartbreak!" He tells me as he walks over to me. I could hear the Italian leather hit the bottom of the floor as he approaches me. Once close, he places both hands onto each of my shoulders. Holding me firmly, but not strong enough to hurt me. The cig in his hand was rubbing against my skin.
"You have a three day weekend coming up. Why not spend with me?" He explains. "I can teach you somethings that...I think will benefit you greatly. Just lie to your parents and join me out of Paris for a couple of days is all."
"Is this a sex thing?" I asked, well had to ask. I am a young woman having an older male asking to take me somewhere for the weekend. Someone I barely know mind you. If that doesn't signal red flags to even you, there is a problem.
"Oh god no!" Plagg laughed, and I know it wasn't a nervous laugh because he snorted. "You would not last 15 minutes with sweety! But it is a nice offer!"
"Right..." I muttered before grabbing the knob. "I will think about it!"
A weekend with Plagg? As if! I don't have a death wish. I have known this guy for four months and I already know not to stay alone with him in a room for too long. But three whole days!? Forget that! I don't have a death wish...even with this shit and Adrien. I hope that bitch was worth it.
Kikkie: It's weird writing MLB stories again. Season three left a horrible taste in my mouth. Out of everything, I just want to point out that I am happy that the writers want to make Marinette more of a different character. By that, they want her to think of herself and her own well-being. That's is great and all! It's a good thing because she was being a bit stalkerish and all that and it was sort of creepy.
What I don't like is the whole relationship thing. I feel that the second she saw Adrien with the other girl, she immediately said fuck it and went with Luka. Like, she barely knows him, now I don't know if they are in a relationship in the new season, but if they are I find it bs because I watched nearly three seasons of Adrien and Marinette and to see her hook up with Luka out of the blue is BS. But, if they make more episodes of the two slowly falling in love, then that's a different story.
That being said...its really hard for me to write this story. Even seeing the recent trailer has upset me! I am happy she removed the Adrien pictures but...dam! It hurts knowing she isn't in love anymore. My feelings are like this: It's basically routing for your home team throughout the football season, watch them go to the Superbowl, and then watch them lose 34 to 2. It's a crushing defeat.
Anyway, please review, and have a lovely day! Also be safe and wash your hands!
