It has been three months since Marinette's kidnapping, and the disappearance affected everyone. Especially Alya and Adrien. Alya barely came to school, and when she did, she was always angry or onery. Even Nino couldn't calm her down, and his reappearance to the school surprised a lot of people. Now, three months and 17 days later, the entire school had forgotten about Marinette. Much to the annoyance of Adrien. Also, since Marinette went missing, he was able to avoid Chloe by faking guilt over losing Marinette. But now that three months have passed, he doesn't know how long he will be with his father. Let alone find out what happened to Marinette.

"You still don't know where she is?" Nino asked the blonde male. Adrien was spinning the noodles around his fork as he thought about his blueberry muffin, Marinette.

"Plagg refuses to tell me anything, its sickening," Adrien growled. "Plus, the Akuma isn't doing so great due to all the shit happening in Paris. I can't even contact some of my old workers!"

"Marinette has been taken by the Lemon Academy, and your worried about the Akuma?" Nino muttered.

"Nino, I am worried about a lot of things. But at the moment, I can only deal with one at a time! And right now, I need to get the Akuma up and running before I am forced to live with Chloe and her dad again!" Adrien growled. "Besides, their not going to kill Marinette. At most they'll cut a finger off for failing and leave her on the side of the road…"

"Is that what you think about to help you sleep at night?" Nino asked in his famous -I am always right!- voice. Adding more annoyance to Adrien already stress headache.

"Speaking of sleeping…how was your vacation?" Adrien asked as he remembers what happened to Nino a couple of months ago.

(What happened to Nino!)

Seven months ago

"Holy shit!" Nino shouted as he held his father close as Adrien and Plagg lifts the older male onto a table. The Mayor promise to Adrien was no joke, because after that meeting, Nino would be driving his father to Adrien's home in the middle of the night. The older dark skin male was taking deep breathes as his brown skin began to fade.

As Adrien and Plagg place Nino's father on the dinning table, Nat grabbed medical supplies. Running back the living room, she places all the metal tools on the table before pour an entire bottle of rubbing acholic on to the tools. She splashed Adrien in the process.

"Are you for real right now!?" Adrien shouted at the woman as he removes Nino's father shoes and socks.

"Shut up!" Nat shouted at Adrien before helping him cut the pants sleeve to reveal his gunshot wound. Adrien almost vomited by the smell alone, the scent of blood infused with gun powder. It would appear that whoever shot Nino's father put three bullets into his calf. However, they didn't go through the skin but got stuck in his flesh.

"Oh god…" Nino muttered puking his guts out onto the ground. Nat pulls out a syringe full of orange liqoud then turns Nino's father on his side.

"This is going to hurt just a little, try not to move." Nat tells him before sticking the needle into his back, injecting the liquid, Nino's father's breathing slowly begins to return to a normal rate. Once that happens, both Nat and Adrien begin to remove the bullets from his flesh, as well as stitch the holes close. Once down, Nino's father falls asleep on the table.

"He's stable…" Nat muttered as she removes her gloves. "Nino, clean the puke."

"Yes ma'am." He responded before looking at his father. The older male was sleeping soundly on the table, his chest rising and lowering.

"Nino, what happened?" Adrien asked as he grabs napkins and cleaning supplies. Nino stares down at his puked stained shirt and sighed.

"We were leaving the grocery store." Nino started. "We were by the car and a tall man came up to us. He had light blonde hair in a mohawk and a gun. Before I knew it, he shot my father's leg, than he pointed the gun at me. He only shot near my foot, and then he walked away. I panicked, the hospital was an hour away, you were 15 minutes."

"It would seem that the Mayor wasn't lying." Nat says as she washes the blood from her in the kitchen sink. "I told Nooroo and Plagg to keep watch over Marinette and Ayla houses. Tikki just left to check up on Nino's family."

"What the fuck am I going to do!?" Nino growled. "My dad just got shot and now your telling me about the Mayor's threats!?"

"I didn't know he would act this quick! The fucker gave me some days to think about it!" Adrien shouted, much to Nat annoyance. Seconds later, Gabriel enters the kitchen. He see's Nino's father sleeping on the dinning table with his wounded foot covered in bandage.

"Explain?" Gabriel asked.

"Your dear friend wasn't lying when he said he'd hurt us. He hired some goons to shot Nino's father." Nat tells him.

"Yea, now what the fuck am I going to do!?" Nino shouted. Gabriel wasted no time forming a plan.

"Your going on vacation." He started. "I will send you to Florida for a couple of weeks. While your there, you can finish the rest of the semester online. And once things have cooled down here and the Mayor knows for show that you have no affiliation with Adrien's business, I will bring you back."

"And how exactly am I going to explain to my parents that we have to move to Florida?" Nino asked. Gabriel shrugs his shoulders and begins to make phone calls. Within hours, Nino's mother had gotten a temperale job in Florida that pays way more than her, and the best part, it had free housing and an amazing school education. Within days, Nino and his family temporarily moved out the country in fear. They only just returned due to the fact that Adrien found the guy who shot Nino's father. Don't ask what happened to him though, just know that he's alive and in jail.

(Present)

"It was okay," Nino says before looking around the room. "Just glad to be back in school. I would have hated to pay for college in America. Did you know in some colleges, a semester is worth thousands. I refuse to pay for that shit. My brother on the other hand loved Florida, he kept getting hit on by local girls."

"Well, I am glad to have you back! Cause we have a lot of work to do. Starting with figuring out how to stop the Mayor." Adrien growled. Nino's eyes suddenly widen at the figure that appeared behind Adrien. Strangely, Adrien didnt notice the figure, well not until someone dropped her plate of food. Causing Adrien to look over his shoulder to gasp.

"Marinette?"

Kikkie: Yep, that's the chapter. Its short, I know. But I wanted to (semi) dedicate a chapter to Nino. Thank you for reading! And yes, the kids are in college. I am not sure I made that clear in the last story or chapters. My bad, so sorry!
