MIRACULOUS

Chapter 24

When They Come For Me

Marinette opened her room gate and saw that monk from the archives earlier that day. He had that grin that appeared similar for the one earlier but there was something different about it this time around. More sincere…

"Oh, it's you," Marinette greeted with a bow. "I'm sorry I didn't get your name."

"You may call me Sazed, and there is no need to bow young mistress," he said bowing. Marinette shook her head and stepped back with her eyes widened.

"Ummm…"

"I am aware that this may have caught you by surprise, considering my behavior in the archives.

"Wait, you mean all that you said back there… That was all just an act?" Marinette asked, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Oh no, I really meant what I said back there. My behavior just back there was merely enjoying life," he explained. Marinette raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, right," she muttered. "So, what brings you here?"

"I was merely biding my time with your time here. I have waited until your time is merely up before I spoke to you and this is something that not even abbotess Akane knows."

"What?"

"I believe the master has given you hints about the temple he was situated in…" he prompted. Marinette thought about it for a second.

"I have gone about it with Gabriel, yes…"

"Young Marinette, there is something you must know. It is indeed connected to your recent research," he confirmed. Marinette looked around the hall and invited Sazed in.

"Ok, what is this you're talking about?"

"You may be aware of an inner conflict that caused the destruction of the ancient temple where the miraculous was preserved. There was an insurrection who concluded that while individual opinion is so different from others, humanity would always be in conflict. Thus they wanted humanity to conform how they see the world, there was the resistance of course…"

"Yes, but what does that has to do with the white plague," Marinette said.

"The formula was lost when the Graham de Vanily scientist died. He regretted his creation so much that he destroyed all evidence of how to create it and the formula died with him. That is why it has not resurged until now…"

"So the Graham de Vanily family's tied with the Blue Mustang must be how she found out about the white plague, as well as combining their info to find that last vial…" Marinette concluded.

"Yes, she revealed them to have the last vial of the white plague, thus enabling them to proceed with their centuries-old plan… I must apologize for not revealing it to you sooner," he said.

"But why now?"

"Because I was one of the insurrectionists and I refuse to let history repeat itself yet again."

"'Yet again?' What the… It's happened before that?" Marinette asked, taken aback.

"The desire to control others creates a vicious cycle, no matter your intentions. And that is putting it simply," he confirmed.

"How do you know that?"

"I suppose you know of the kwami of destruction, Plagg," he inquired.

"Yes, I know him but what does he have to… Wait… Plagg told you? But Tikki never…"

"She did not exist yet… She was only created after the final disaster that led humanity to what is now referred to as the 'stone age.'" He said. Marinette stepped back wide-eyed.

"Wait, you don't mean…"

"Yes, Plagg is the last living kwami created beforehand…" he confirmed. Marinette began pacing around and combed her hair with her hand for a second.

"Pinyin told me something about it but I never thought Plagg was that ancient…"

"I apologize, mistress, but I am afraid we must cut this short," Sazed lamented.

"What, Why? I still have so many questions…"

"…And no time, they are coming…"

As if on cue, a light portal appeared in this very room. Both Marinette and Sazed turned to witness the phenomenon with awe for a few seconds before a girl with shoulder-length red hair appeared. She fell on her back like she was knocked into the portal, which closed before anyone could look into what pushed her in. Her attire is that of hardcore punk, possibly a biker by the goggles over her head and both her arms covered with rose and vine tattoos. She moaned is slight pain as she slowly sat up. Marinette could've sworn she was an older version of…

"Alix?" Marinette blurted.

"What a bitch…" Future Alix muttered.

"Goodness, I believe everything is revealing itself…"

"Wait, you knew about this?"

"I fear it is only the beginning…" he said when the ground started to vibrate. Future Alix finally realized where she was.

"This is the place, groovy," she said with glee as she got up.

"Umm… Hey, are you…?"

"Marinette! Oh, good then the time was right. Are they here yet?"

"Who?" she asked. As if on cue and explosion could be heard from the entrance.

"Everybody out!"

"They found me?" Marinette wondered. The door burst open saw that it was Serah. She was sweating, panting, and holding a handful of miraculouses in her hands.

"Marinette!" Serah shouted.

"Serah…" Marinette muttered, getting up on her feet.

"No time, you have to transform now!"

"Fluff, ready for another go?" Alix asked her kwami, feeding her a carrot.

"Ready to go anytime!"

"Huh? Where did you come from?" Serah asked, noticing future Alix, who also got back to her feet.

"No time!" she blurted. "Tell me where the commotion is!"

"Snow and the others are trying to fight them as we speak. They're in the entrance!" Serah replied and future Alix went off.

"Catch me up later, Ladybug!" she shouted.

"Alix, wait!" Marinette shouted but Serah stopped her. "We can't let them see your face, here," she gave him the miraculouses, and then nodded to her with a smile. "I know you can do this…"

Meanwhile…

"FLUFF, CLOCKWISE!" Alix shouted as she ran down the halls while transforming was suddenly stopped from her tracks when someone burst into the hall through the wall. He was wearing a black suit with red markings with an eye mask and his hair was spikier and combed backward. He slowly got up and dusted himself off.

"Ugh, wipeout…"

"You could use a hand," the transformed Alix suggested, placing her hand on her hip, getting Snow's attention.

"Oh, hey…" Snow said, acknowledging her. "Please?" he accepted. Blue robot-like creatures started to appear in the hallway. Coming in from the hole, a taller and muscular figure appeared from the dusty mist. Both Snow and Alix put on a fighting stance. Another female figure appeared behind the threat and attacked her. The second was dressed in an armor-like costume.

"Lightning!" Snow shouted. As the big villainous figure grabbed Lightning by the head, a feminine voice began to grunt painfully as her opponent was crushing her helmet. "Hey! You let her go!" he went charging with his fists.

The mysterious enemy then threw Lightning at Snow, making their head clash. Alix wasted no time and stepped in.

"Yo, muscle hag!" Alix charged in with a kick, only to be blocked with her arm.

"Who are you?" the figure asked with a growl. "Bring me the girl," she commanded.

"How about… no," Alix countered.

"Then get out of my way!" she growled as she rammed into Alix with her arm.

"Damn it, I think Chloe did a bigger number on me than I thought…"

"Lady Jasper," one of the robotic goons greeted. "We are informing you that Mayura has infiltrated Paris as well."

"Tell her t continue her loyalty charade to Etheria. She has yet to complete her purpose," Jasper replied with a rough but still feminine voice.

"What shall we do with Ehteria?"

"The Agreste woman is just a means to an end, she's our only access to the white plague, she's unaware of our actual plans and she's considered expendable."

"What are your current orders?"

"Bring me the test tube freak," Jasper ordered. "Preferably alive but snuff her if she gives trouble."

Elsewhere in the temple, Marinette made her way through the halls and hid on one of the lower rooms.

"Ok, I still don't know if I should do this," she said to herself as she counted five miraculous Serah gave her in her hands. One was a bead necklace, a purple magatama pendant, a smaller green bead wristband, a turquoise earring, and a sterling ring. She then heard violent impacts and threats outside.

"Where is the homunculus?" one of the cyborgs asked.

"I don't know anything about… AAHHH!" the hostage was cut off by a squishy insertion. Marinette cringed at the implication. After a few more seconds of staying still without thinking, then suddenly put all of the jewelry on and stood up. All the kwamis emerged from their respective jewels.

"I believe the time has come young Marinette," one of them stated.

"We under attack and I think I have to really prove myself now," Marinette affirmed.

"Then let's rock and roll," another kwami said.

Back at the main conflict, The three made the effort to subdue Jasper with Lightning fighting with a rapier with the other two with their fists. Things aren't going too well as Jasper stopped Lightning's rapier with ease while the two were unable to find a weak spot as she fought them off.

"Any way you could use your time travel powers here, Bunnyx?" Snow asked.

"No way, Shadow," Bunnyx replied. "Time travel is not something I can do without thinking of the consequences…"

"Well, we gotta do something about this thing. We don't know if it's even human!" Shadow said. That caused Bunnyx to raise an eyebrow at him.

"What do you mean?"

"That chick feels like she's made of titanium," Shadow confirmed.

"That's because she's not," a familiar voice confirmed behind them. It was Marinette in a flamboyant suit in a violet overall color covered with glitter with flapping wing-like feathers on her back.

"Marinette?" Lightning asked weakly.

"Wow," Bunnyx muttered. Shadow grinned.

"Looks like your time here has paid off," he said.

"So it's true, you really are and chemical freak. Otherwise, you'd be losing your mind with all this power," Jasper berated.

"Funny, cause one of these miraculous have shown…"

"You're coming with us!" Jasper yelled, cutting Marinette off. Right then and there, she charged at her and opened with a barrage of fists with Marinette responding by summoning a barrier to deflect her attacks. Jasper then punched the ground, making a hole and caused it to crack.

"Whoa!" Marinette mouthed, jumping back.

"You and your pretty little miraculouses won't save you!" Jasper threatened as she approached. "You're a freak of nature, you and your ability to withstand that many miraculous is sickening! You have no right to exist!" she screams that lat part as she throws another punch at her. Marinette teleported out of the way behind Jasper and kneeled on her back.

"I would rethink your words if I were you," Marinette suggested. Her voice was rather soft, showing concern rather than defiance. Shadow took notice of that then took a look at Jasper. Something wasn't right…

"Notice anything you guys?" he asked Lightning and Bunnyx.

"Now that you mentioned it, her skin is a bit too much on the amber side.

"Her name… is she…"

"A sentimonster!" Shadow realized, getting on his feet.

"Exactly!" Marinette confirmed.

"What of this nonsense?" Jasper growled and charged at her yet again.

"So you don't know, huh?" Marinette said as she jumped over her opponent. "That's ok, It was a shock to me too… UGH!" she was cut off when jasper grabbed her by the neck.

"You think you're going to deceive me with some 'life-changing revelation?'" Jasper asked mockingly as Marinette gasped for air. "You will FAIL!" she rammed her head onto Marinette's, knocking her out.

"Marinette!" Shadow and Lightning shouted as they rushed to the fight. Only to be stopped by the cyborgs from behind.

"Ladybug!" Bunnyx shouted, getting back on her feet.

"Hey, can't you use your time powers for this?" Shadow asked.

"Out of the question?" Bunnyx retorted, charging at Jasper.

"We have to find the amok!" Lightning suggested.

"Do you really think she has it on her?" Shadow asked.

"I have a suspicion…" she suggested while she and Shadow fought off the cyborgs holding them back.

Bunnyx jumped in and threw her barrage of punches and kicks while deflecting them. Jasper merely pushed her back and focused back on Marinette who resumed her currently one-sided conflict as she brutally beat her. Bunnyx, Shadow, and Lightning were fighting off the cyborgs, unable to assist Marinette as Jasper landed two more punches on her chest, then grabbed her hair and landed few quick blows in the face, she let her go and Marinette landed on her knees. Jasper then kicked her in the stomach, causing her to collapse in a fetal position. Jasper grabbed her by the neck again and began bashing her in the head multiple times until she pushed her to the wall. Jasper made a fist, showcasing Shadow a jasper stone ring in her finger.

"Is that…?"

Jasper then slammed her fist square into Marinette's face, knocking her through the wall.

"The ring!" Shadow shouted. Bunnyx and Lightning stared at him. "That's the amok!"

Jasper turned to them as the three charged. Only to be greeted by more of the cyborgs emerging from Jasper's side and attacked.

"These… machines…" Lightning muttered.

"Clearly, sentimonsters!" Bunnyx clarified, fighting off the borgs.

"Do you really think I would waste my time dealing with you?" Jasper sneered and walked towards the hole in the wall where Marinette went through, only to see that she was gone. Jasper stepped back wearingly and looked around her surroundings. Out of the blue, Marinette teleported right in front of Jasper and knocked her off her feet with an uppercut on the chin. She then teleported behind her, grabbed her by the feet, and threw her at another pack of approaching borgs. With her ability to see through walls as well, she quickly came to the aid of others. She slammed her foot on the head of one grabbing Shadow to the ground. Then they both aided the other girls out of their captors and flipped them off them, throwing them into the other borgs.

"Thank you, Ladybug!" Bunnyx chided.

"Yeah, we have to talk later…" Marinette suggested, raising an eyebrow at her. With that, they all charged towards Jasper and the remaining cyborg creatures.

"How dare you!" Jasper growled as she got back up her feet.

"This is not going to be easy…" Marinette remembered a recent past trauma she'd rather not remember. Putting her miraculous' abilities to use, she got into her ready position. She teleported out while Lightning and Shadow charged. Before Jasper could fight them off she was grabbed by Marinette from behind. But Jasper quickly flipped Marinette off her and threw her at the other two. Bunnyx charged at her from the side with a kick, only to be grabbed by the ankle and swung her to the other side of the hall. Marinette quickly got back up and jumped in again to knee her in the head.

"You think, that is going to…" Jasper began only to be cut off when Marinette summoned a string and quickly wrapped it around her neck.

"If you really think I don't feel, then do you feel the need to breathe?" Marinette asked.

"What is this nonsense you are spouting?" Jasper struggled, trying to flip her again. But Marinette flipped over her on her own and kneeled her square the face. She then stepped on her wrist and attempted to grab her ring. Jasper reacted quickly and punched Marinette off her.

"Damn it," she muttered, getting back up. "If only these miraculous had some easy way to get that ring off her."

Lightning then went for the kill with her rapier as she aimed for the ring. Marinette quickly took note of that thanks to another miraculous ability and quickly dashed towards her, stopping Lightning's rapier.

"NO!" Marinette shouted.

"Argh!" Lightning grunted. "What are you doing?"

"Please don't kill her!" Marinette pleaded.

"Are you insane, she's a threat!"

"Please, if we can…"

"You cannot reason with her. You…"

"She's just like me!"

"No, she's not!" She has chosen her path you chose something better… Argh!" she was cut off when yet another punch was delivered by their bulky opponent.

"I am not an emotionless sentimonster!" Jasper growled as she was tried to grab Marinette again. Marinette managed to dodge her grabbing hand quickly got up and roundhouse kicked her in the face, knocking her off her feet spinning. She jumped and kneeled on her elbow to once again take the ring off her hand.

"Please, it doesn't have to be this way!" Marinette pleaded, but Jasper persisted and blasted her way off her.

"Ok enough of this… CHAOS SHIELD!" Shadow shouted, and a yellow-orange aura surrounding him then charged at her. Lightning threw her sword up in the air and raised her arms.

"BALDANDERS!" she shouted as hologram-like aura surrounded her and her armor was modified. She had a feather hip cape and her armor is shining silver. Her helmet is gone but still had a black mask, her eyes were not visible. "Snow, now!" she shouted. Shadow pointed his index and middle fingers like a gun at Jasper, who was still fighting Bunnyx.

"CHAOS SPEAR!" Shadow shouted and an energy spear appeared and nailed Jasper in the arm to the wall, paralyzing it. Lightning dashed in and passed through the wall like a ghost and took the ring in the process.

Marinette then came in with a barrage of punches of kicks while teleporting around her with every blow. Jasper tried to fight back, just when she thought she landed a punch, her fist went through. Also like a ghost, Marinette slipped behind her, became solid again, grabbed her by the shoulders, and slammed her down the ground. Finally, Marinette locked her by the neck with her legs.

"Check and mate!" Marinette quipped. "Now you're going to tell us everything you know!" she said as Jasper struggled to break free. "Now what was that about exploiting Mrs. Agreste?" she interrogated but Jasper just smirked. Then struggles again.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you…" Lightning warned as she approached her, showing the ring. Jasper merely glared at her.

"Heh," Jasper scoffed. "What is it you anyway?"

"Just answer my question!" Marinette pressed, tightening her grip.

"This Agreste woman sought us out and lead us to the whereabouts of the miraculous guardian," Jasper replied.

"Why do you want to get rid of her?"

"The Blue Mustang doesn't like loose ends," Jasper revealed. "We were never going to follow through with her wishes and will dispose of her once she served her purpose."

"So she's just an unwilling pawn…" Marinette affirmed. "So what is it you're really after?"

"What do you care, you're not like them! It's not your obligation to care what happens to humans!"

"I am Ladybug, I chose to make it my obligation!"

"I could have not said it better myself, young mistress," a soothing voice said, approaching them. It was Sazed.

"Sazed…" Marinette acknowledged. You two may come from different worlds, however, you both came to be from unconventional means. Neither of you was born from natural mothers but from magic and scientific machinations…" he said. "Please, let us help you…" he implored. Jasper only got angrier and snapped back at Marinette, knocking her off her. She then pinned her down by the neck and raised her fist.

"I am not like you!" She sneered. "You are nothing but an abomination. Freaks like you are a mistake by only existing, you have no right to live!" She raised her fist about to strike. Only to stop as she suddenly grasped onto her chest painfully. "AAAAARGH!" she looked up and saw Bunnyx, crushing the jasper stone ring Lightning took away earlier.

"By your logic…" Bunnyx said. "…neither should you!"

"No…" Jasper muttered out of shock and dismay. "This cannot…. ARGH!" she screamed again as Bunnyx crushed her amok.

"NO!" Marinette implored reaching a hand towards Bunnyx. Then the amok was destroyed in Bunnyx palm. Jasper gave one last exasperated look before disintegrating, along with the enemy cyborgs. Marinette saw flashes of a similar incident with her own face; tears began to come out yet again. She angrily got to her feet and grabbed Bunnyx by the collar with both hands. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?"

"It was this or your neck!" Bunnyx shot back. Marinette then loosened her grip.

"But… But… she was like me…" she was saying amidst of her tears, breaking down on her knees, losing her transformation.

"No, she wasn't!" Shadow insisted stepping in. He stepped in and put his hand on her shoulder. "You are a sweet young lady, Marinette. But she was just as deluded as those who think they know what's best for everyone… She's made her choice, just like she made yours…"

"I wish it did not have to come to this, young mistress," Sazed lamented. "However, it appeared that she had chosen her path. There was nothing you could've done," he concluded. It reminded her of what Akane had told her previously about Lila. It made her cringe of being reminded of that.

"I…" Marinette began as her injuries begin to take a toll on her. "Everyone who is born in some other way is always destined for something like this?" she questioned. "Or like me? A life of fighting?" Tears threatened to fall.

"Not at all," Sazed countered. "But the phenomena of homunculi and sentimonsters are still widely taboo and misunderstood that such negative stigmas are inevitable."

"Serah…" Claire suddenly muttered, catching Marinette's attention and saw Serah approaching her.

"Just how could you be so assured about this?" Marinette asked, turning back to Sazed.

"Because, I am like you, mistress Marinette," Sazed revealed. "I am a homunculus just like you…"

"I knew it…" Serah gave a weak smile. "So, I'm not alone…"

"Serah?" Marinette stared wide-eyed. "You too?" she asked. Serah nodded with a giggle. Claire rubbed her shoulder and looked away with a sad smile.

"Claire?" Serah called, turning to her.

"My… my mother was pregnant with my little sister but was stillborn… She sought this phenomenon out… I guess she knew how much I wanted a sister…" Claire revealed.

"I was created by the insurrectionists within the temple," Sazed revealed. "I too was responsible for the temple's collapse. This guilt will plague me for the rest of my life, therefore I became the guardian of these miraculous you just wielded, hence why I am still breathing. I believe Wang Fu is a similar example…" he said. "Like you, I too have this ability to wield many miraculous without consequence. Like you, I was meant to be a weapon, but I am something more, I am human and so are you."

"But…" Marinette realized that she was still wearing all the aforementioned miraculous. All the kwamis gathered around and looked at Marinette in admiration then returned to Sazed.

"Are you all right, master?"

"I am well, thank you very much," he replied.

"I can't believe it…" Marinette revealed as she removed the jewelry. "You two look so content with where you are…"

"And so can you!" Serah encouraged. "Don't give up on love, Marinette."

"I…" Marinette looked down as flashes of Adrien popped again. "I'm not too sure I'll ever…"

"Sure you will!" Snow stepped in, putting a hand on Serah's shoulder. "You pretty much have seen yourself how things are well with Serah and Sazed."

"Want more proof?" Serah teased. She took Marinette's hand and put it on her belly. Though nothing could be seen, felt, or heard yet, Marinette began to squeal as she covered her mouth.

"Oh My God!" she squealed and began jumping like a little girl. "Congratulations!"

"Thank you so much!" Serah said, jumping alongside her. Marinette suddenly collapsed due to her injuries. "You ok?" Serah asked, carrying her.

"Just a little sore, sorry," Marinette replied.

They were cut off by Claire clearing her throat and saw her staring at the older Alix, both crossing their arms.

"And you…?" Claire asked.

"I'm from the future…" Alix said bluntly.

"Alix?" Marinette stepped in. "Is that really you?"

"Imagine how much I flipped when I found out you were Ladybug," she put her hands on her hips. Marinette combed her hair with her hand and took a deep breath.

"Whew… I mean, so many questions, yet I don't even know what to say…"

"Why are you here? Let's start there," Claire suggested.

"Right, so…" Alix paced around like an innocent girl. "Would you believe me if I tell you I got lost?"

"How do you get lost in time travel?" Snow questioned.

"Time travel is indeed a dangerous subject; any decision may lead to an incident that may need the aid of time and space, however, the danger of leading to greater oppression is real," Sazed added in.

"But what could have happened to warrant this and why you?" Marinette asked.

"That's not important right now," Alix said rather abruptly as she fed the future fluff a carrot. "Listen, has Chloe from the future popped up?"

"Chloe?" Marinette stepped back, flabbergasted.

"Oh good, that means she hasn't popped up yet," Alix said with a sigh.

"What about Chloe?" Marinette asked. "What did she do?"

Alix sighed again and stretched her arms.

"Have you ever heard of an island in the in-between?" she asked. Which earned a gasp even from Sazed.

"Impossible…" he said. "Even on my time, it was considered a legend.

"Yeah, well, this is not legend, let me tell ya," she said. "And Chloe found her way there with the help of the Bee miraculous."

"Cat Noir," Marinette thought. "What have you done…"

Sometime earlier… Gorge…

Nathalie was reporting to her superior in his office with the chair turned to the window.

"Sir, I apologize for my mistake in that incident. I had never imagined a sentimonster would rebel."

"Interesting, so you're surprised that a living creature was… a living creature…"

"Sir?"

He got up from his chair and began to pace around her.

"Tell me, what made you disintegrate the sentimonster so callously?" he asked. "Do you really think it was below human?" he asked. Nathalie gave a near scoff.

"It was only a sentimonster. It was a mere expendable object."

"Yet it chose to side with the real Ladybug," the shadow figure countered. "You have underestimated the power of creation, Sencour. Everything with a shred of life has the potential for self-awareness. That's is what makes this world so dangerous."

"A sentimonster has no right to exist!" Nathalie countered. "Are you trying to guilt-trip me into regretting in eliminating it?" She was more like reassuring herself than her boss.

"That's rich coming from someone not so natural themself," he muttered.

"Sir?" Nathalie asked, now really confused.

"Never mind, you're dismissed for now."

Present-day… Paris…

Mister Bug was now talking to Marinette via his yoyo camera phone. It was right after the fight against the rainbow dragon.

"So they went after you, huh?"

"Yes, everyone's packing up and move to another location. I'm actually catching a plane back tonight," Marinette confirmed. "How are things on your end?" she asked. Mister Bug scratched his cheek with his index finger.

"Umm… More or less…" Mister Bug admitted.

"Seems like Paris is doing pretty well," Marinette added.

"Broke a few eggs getting there," Mister Bug said, looking away from the screen without turning his head.

"Yes, I saw Queen Bee protecting my friends Alya and Nino. They're not compromised are they?"

"Don't worry, I used the miraculous Mister Bug cure on the brainwashed security guards. They shouldn't remember a thing," he replied.

"Has…"

"Hmm?" Mister Bug muttered. Marinette looked away for a second before looking back at him.

"Has Queen Bee given you any trouble?" she asked. Mister Bug exhaled.

"Marinette, Master Fu told me about you not letting Chloe join us…"

"He did?"

"Truth be told, I'm surprised. I thought we had an agreement to give her a chance. What made you change your mind?"

"I…" Marinette hesitated, considering what she knows now.

"I guess, I've gone back on my word and decided not to take the risk. After all, her identity is revealed," Marinette clarified.

"In other words, you wussed out," Mister Bug said, bluntly, tilting his head. Marinette pouted her cheeks.

"That's a harsh way to put it," Marinette admitted.

"My Lady, I have to be honest about how I feel. That's how you may know to trust me," he said. She looked back at him with a faint blush.

"Are you blushing?" Mister Bug asked with a sly grin.

"Nope!" she squealed, raising her hand at the camera defensively. Mister Bug swore he saw flash the bubbly girl back in school, he gave a light chuckle.

"Anyway, anything else you discovered?" he asked. Marinette turned away for another moment then turned back at him with a far more serious look.

"Actually, I saw the sentimonster's thoughts thanks to one of the kwamis… I think I know where Emilie Agreste is. We need to find her quick!" Marinette urged. Mister Bug's world stopped as he stood staring back at Marinette in silence. "Mister Bug…?"

Meanwhile…

In another region in Paris at a tall rooftop, a portal similar to one of Bunnyx's portals appeared. A girl suddenly came in and landed hard on her side, she grunted in pain. She had long dirty blonde hair and was almost naked wearing only a leaf and feather necklace barely covering her chest and a green loincloth. She briefly hugged herself at the breeze as she sat up and look around. She took a deep breath and got up on her bare feet. The building rooftop pavement didn't seem to bother her under her naked soles, as she approached the edge of the roof to observe the Parisian horizon with the setting sun barely shining anymore.

"Never thought I'd be back here…"

Author's note: Crossover character report:

Jasper from "Steven Universe": In hindsight, it's kinda sad that Jasper fans didn't get what many were hoping to get from her and all we got was this one-dimensional evil jerk. I had very little to go on this I made her into this one-off villain. Guess she served her purpose quite well.

Sazed from "Mistborn": He just seemed like a guy with a ton of regret and didn't seem like the type to fight at a rebellion at first (I've only read the first book thus far, so what do I know?"). But he's a total badass, all things said.

The cyborgs accompanying Jasper were loosely based on the Krang of the 2012 version of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" though I could never get their speech down but I gave some description alluding to them so take that as you will.

So, I feel that this chapter was a tad rushed; mainly because of Jasper and how quickly I wrapped up her character but again I don't feel much could've been done with her. I also cut off the conversation with Bunnyx because I didn't want the scene to be an exposition dump.

So yeah, this chapter didn't come out as smoothly as I had hoped, and hopefully, be back on track on the next one.

Constructive criticism is appreciated.
