Kai's discussion with Katyusha did an overall informative job but the feeling of agitation had not left him still. He still wasn't able to get a fitting answer from her.

But he couldn't even push her furthermore. Her eyes were glossy sapphire, flicker with such intense emotions it was next to unbearable to look her in the eyes. All he could do was look out for her. Even a slight touch from his side made her squirm away from him. Kai couldn't even phantom what could have taken place if he had tried pushing her limits.

The only technique to get out of this situation with the required information was by confronting Jake or her former teammates. The condition was getting harder and harder as time passed. The reality of her circumstances was at such a level that Kai, even after knowing her for years, Kai was unable to understand it.

He made it down to the place where all the groups were resting. The entrance left ajar. When at the entrance, he caught Jake's eyes. Being the intuitive Jake is, he left the room and followed behind Kai. Not a single word was exchanged between the boys before Kai and Jake stepped into the adjacent room.

"What did Kat say?" Jake inquired.

How did he know, Kai thought. Nevermind both the twins weird enough for his brain to process anyway.

Kai replied, "Nothing worth for starters. And the fact that she was herself pretty confused about the situation. Still is."

Jake rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hands. It was the first time in a while he had paid close attention to the other boy. The twins had a resemblance that was hard to overlook. The beauty shared between the siblings; dark hair against pale skin. While Katyusha's hair was a mess of dark and purple, Jake had jet black locks. Prominent cheekbones and big eyes were one of the countless similar traits between the two.

Breaking his examination, Kai brought his consciousness back to more problematic situations.

"I don't know what all can be said and what all can't be. Give it time, Kai. It's upon her to figure out what is going on. It's a connection between you two, after all. Its either an effect of intense emotions shared between you and her or something which can lead to fight or flight emotional changes in her body. It can be a consequence or a long chain of many sentiments such as fear, surprise, shock, pre-terror or..." he paused. His face filled with sudden recognition.

"Or?" Kai pressed forward. It must be a genetic characteristic to convey everything half-way assessed, dropping it on the other person to figure out on their own.

"A passion beyond understanding. A feeling beyond logic. Something so intense that Katyusha gets sidetracked thanks to her thoughts."

"Sidetracked? When is she ever on the right track anyway? Not in years, I have known her, have I ever heard a more distracted person than her."

"Seems like you forgot I was her brother.." Jake whispered under his breath. Kai ignored his words. Again, more pressing things at hand to deal with. "Emotions, you say? Katyusha has always been good with differing feelings. That is weird to know she got sidetracked due to it."

"I am pretty sure it just that she is scared of the intensity of those feelings. As you said, her feelings had always been one of her priorities. It ain't new for her to be overwhelmed by her feelings. And when it is associated with your likes, I can't even say a word other than intense to define it." Jakes says in agreement.

"Someone needs to help her keep a check on her emotions," Kai said.

"Or someone needs to help her sort out her feelings. She will know the best for herself."

The other boy had a visible difference in the way he looked at Kai. His sharp eyes softened up a little. It is awkward.

As if reading Kai's mind, Jake walked out of the door calling behind him, "I will take my leave now."

Now Kai was on his own. it has been a long since he ever felt vulnerable in being alone. He didn't want to be alone for now. The issue of being left alone is that the mind takes over without your knowledge and will only ever intricate the most simplistic judgment.

Something intense enough for Katyusha to sidetrack from her reality. Through the years, Katyusha had always been a living puzzle to him. But recently, he had felt that he was finally able to understand her mind, her thoughts, what she needs and what her wants were. Suddenly due to her departure, everything crashed onto him without a prior warning.

He sighed. Giving up on such an unrealistic thought is the better way out of such situations and possibly the only way out as well. It was next to impossible

Kai slightly trailed behind Jake as they left the room. The hallway seemed more crowded than before. His team members were out and about for some "important discussion". Kai moderately knew where all team's arguments went to, food.

In between the mess, Katyusha walked in. And did his heart go wild?

She had switched into something more homelike, discarding the fitted top and bottom she usually wore. Her hair pulled up in a rumpled ponytail, her hair strands falling like a waterfall behind her as she jogged down the stairs next to him. She came to a complete stop at the sight of him. Her clothing might be to convey comfort but her facials were anything but calm. A quiet rage held fixed on her face. Doesn't seem like she is going to forgive him for his decision to stay behind. Not like he is going to change it due to her rage towards him. But he had to admit, the anger stung him a bit.

Every Bladebreaker member had a different kind of anger release. While Tyson had a fierce need to fight it out, to argue to no sense, Max was the volatile type one. Ray has wet anger, with all the eyes sting and shaking body. As for Katyusha, it is dry. So dry that she won't be able to see any logic any rationality but pure hatred and rage towards the person. It has its magnitudes. The dryness in her voice can turn even the most hardcore person whimper in front of her.

It hadn't always been so terrifying. She had a share of time with the scary sort of anger. She had her time slamming objects around, hurting herself to keep herself from saying something wrong just because of the anger controlling her. With time, she lost that control over herself.

She still is selfless enough for him to worry about her but under the influence of her scattered emotions and feelings, she is more open to falling prey to hurting others in passive aggressiveness.

He knew the coldness shown towards him right now was nothing compared to the times she had broken down.

Her breaking down in front of his eyes still flashed in front of his mind now and then. It happened when he came to understand the main reason she was constantly by his side, and even in the highest fold of danger and damage for her, she still pursues to do the same.

It had happened during his grandfather's camp when they were relatively very young. It had been a heartbreaking moment when he saw her breakdown for the first time. For both of them, her as the victim and him as the helpless audience. She hadn't been aware of his presence as she wept and wept for hours till the moon was up again. It was the anger towards herself, what she had become, what her past had chosen for her. She conveyed the anger for involving him in her life, in not being able to decide this for herself and Kai. It was the first time he had gotten to know about her secret. Even after so many years, she had never uttered her truth in public before, at least in front of him.

Katyusha had talked and talked to the walls for hours as she tried to soothe out the increasing resentment. He wished for the first time in his life to know how to react to such situations. To help her, guide her in any possible way out of her misery. All he did was sit behind the door, waiting and trusting her to know what the best for her.

So will he continue to do so but not this time. Katyusha ain't going to benefit by throwing him away. It never worked like that between her and Kai. It had been tested and proven by the number of times they crashed each other in pure coincidence. He wanted to prove it again.

"This will end the brighter side, Katyusha. But together. Like all the times before." Kai declared to the person who had stood by his side even though he had never done anything but pushed her away.

The chaos of the lobby died with his words. All of them shared confused looks, trying to process the situation. The only one who was a bit updated was Jake, whose eye conveyed the brothers warning. Kai isn't someone who will mess around on such topics.

Katyusha seemed to see the truth in his words, the declaration of war in case their opinions differ.

She sighed before answering, "Let's do it then."

He should have known then that there was something at faults when she agreed to him so readily. He shouldn't have ignored the guts.

Kai was suspicious. Again, Katyusha can be very stubborn with her ideas and mindset. It isn't easy to change those things. And from all the time Kai had ever known her, she doesn't give up on ideas easily. Either she stubbornly believes it or she changes it for her good.

And the arrow in his hand told him the plan she had decided. The paper wrapped around the arrow now left into pieces and bits. The message had burned through his hands as he had read it.

Katyusha had known what was on. She saw it before anyone could. And when this is not going to end well.

Took her away
