Charlies POV

Did she have to point me out

Ushio sits next to me and class begins

"Hello My name is Charlie Miyazono Pickles, you must be Ushio" I said introducing me to Ushio

"Hi Charlie, nice to meet you" I said

Class went on as normal, Ushio looked bored throughout class like she wasnt interested in the subject in hand.

After all of our classes were finished for the day, Mrs Ichinose encouraged Ushio to walk home with me, My other friends were doing differing things such as soccer club and homework. So it was just me and Ushio.

"So Ushio, how are you finding the states" I said

"Fine I guess" said Ushio

"Why did you get kicked out of school when you were in Japan" I said

Ushio stopped in her tracks, sighed and said "I really dont want to talk about it"

"Why dont you want to talk about it" I said

"Because it may conjure up some bad memories" said Ushio looking down

"If you dont let those bad memories out, then its going to keep affecting you" I said sounding serious

"Fine, my home life wasn't going well, my mom was in hospital suffering from a disease that the doctors don't even know about, my father keeps overworking at his electrician job and I felt like everyone was mocking me because of it as well as that, I was annoyed that my younger brother was recieving all of the attention whetether my parents came home, one day I snapped, I went into school and got into a huge fight with someone and ended up breaking her jaw and ribs, the school promptly expelled me, saying I was nothing but trouble and then after my parents were upset and then (Ushio stopped for a minute before continuing) I slapped my mother and father before running away and then when I was found, my father wanted to send me here to avoid becoming a deliquant like he was" Ushio said with tears starting to run down her eyes

"There, There, look at me, I can help you become a better person as long as you listen to me, if you need anything, give me a call, I can give you any sort of advice if needed" I said

"What about you, what are your home life like" said Ushio

"Well my father works at the local science institute, my mother lives in Japan.." I said before being interrupted

"Wait, your half-Japanese" said Ushio

"Yes, my mother is the supposedly famous violinist Kaori Miyazono who had a small fling with my father that resulted in me being born, My Stepmom is a truck driver named Lil, and I have a younger half-sister named Holly." I said

"Wow Kaoris son, really, shes quite a famous musican and performs tours accross the country" said Ushio

"Yeah although I haven't seen my mother since I was 3 when she returned to Japan, Im actually planning on seeing her along with her family in August" I said

"Whats your father like" said Ushio

"Eccentric, Kind, Funny, a little on the loopy side" I said

"You know, from what you said, your father reminds me of my grandfather Akio" said Ushio

"Really, wow, what was Akio like" I said curiously

"Kind, but also very funny and a bit goofy" said Ushio

"Yeah they do sound similar, what sort of things do you like to do" I said

"Well I like the Big Dango Family, Baseball, Theatre and Books" said Ushio

"I like Baseball and Books, whos your favourite team" I said

"Probably the Houston Astros" said Ushio

"One of the more successful teams, Im a LA Dodgers fan as there the local team in the area" I said

"Ahh yeah ive heard of them, have you heard of the Big Dango Family" said Ushio

"Sadly no, ive never heard of them" I said

Ushio looked a little puzzled before saying "It was an old TV show and song that my mother introduced to me, ive loved it ever since" Said Ushio with excitement

Me and Ushio talked about various different topics before reaching our respective houses.

When I got home, I found I was the only person in the house, Dil had taken Molly to go see the Goober Movie and Lil had gone to work, I head upstairs to play video games, when I got upstairs my phone rang.

"Hello" I said

"Is this Charlie Miyazono Pickles" said the caller

"Yeah this is Charlie speaking, who is this" I said

"This is Kousei Arima, its nice to meet you Charlie" said Kousei

Wait as in my Stepfather Kousei Arima, the one who married my mother, the pianist who my mother has always loved, the famous pianist and prodigy on piano.

"Good to meet you too, why did you call" I said

"I just wanted to get to know you, you are my stepson after all" said Kousei

"Ok, tell me more about you and moms lives then" I said

"Well me and your mother are musicians, your mother played Violin and I played Piano, Your mother is retiring this year from peforming due to the pressures of overpeforming and the effect on her health." said Kousei

"What effects does it have on her health" I said a bit worried

"Well first of all, your mother has never been in the greatest health, she nearly died when she was 15 and had to go to the States a year later, even after recovering from her previous illnesses, she is quite frail when it comes to illnesses and has to have regular checkups every two weeks to see if she is doing okay. She also has some issues regarding her heart and some of her muscle joints that gives her some health issues" said Kousei

"How is she doing now" I said

"She is doing good, in fact she is quite excited to meet you in two months" said Kousei

"Any chance I can speak with her on the phone" I said

"Not at the moment as she has just started her shift at work" said Kousei

"This early" I said knowing about Japanese time

"She works also for your Grandparents bakery Ma Fille, Ill give you her number" said Kousei before telling me her number

"Dont call her until she finishes work though as its very unlikely she will respond" said Kousei

"I understand, what are you doing at this moment" I said

"I am currently babysitting your Half Brother Chopin" said Kousei

"I have a half brother" I said

"Yes you do, Chopin is 9 years old and likes Music, Peanuts and Anime" said Kousei

"Oh wow, I have another half sibling in Molly Pickles" I said

"Thats cool, do you play music" said Kousei

"No not really, I do have Kaoris orginal violin though, Im more into computer programming" I said

"Wait the Violin in the pink case" said Kousei

"Yeah that one" I said

"Yeah, when I met your mother for the 1st time, she carried it with her as she was heading to her violin competition that she made us go to" said Kousei

"Wow, was that the violin that you and Kaori peformed your first duet together" I said

"Yes I can tell as when me and Kaori peformed a duet not long after she returned to Japan, She had a different case and a different brand of Violin, I knew that she had done something to it when she was in the States" said Kousei

"Yeah although I'm more into computer programming though" I said

"Hows that going" said Kousei

"Its going good, built a Anti-Virus software programme and working on a FPS video game" I said

"Wow you sound just as smart as your mother" said Kousei

I dont know if that was compliment or a insult

"What would my mother think about me not pursuing music" I said

"Well your mother would only want whats best for you, so she would be proud of you for having a passion such as computer programming, she probably would encourage you to pursue music, but she would never want you to quit your passion" said Kousei

"Look, I have to go as I'm heading to Ma Fille to help your mother out, you've got my number, good to meet you Charlie" said Kousei

"Goodbye Kousei, see you August" I said

"See you in August, Charlie" said Kousei

Kousei hung up

That was interesting
