I have just finished calling my Stepson as I needed to help Kaori out with work.

It felt weird having a stepson, when Kaori told me about the existance of Charlie Miyazono Pickles years ago, I reacted with shock initially, Kaori is my one true love and her loving someone else years ago made me feel unconfortable, but eventually I warmed up to it and encouraged Kaori to meet up with him. Especially a year ago when she had a heart attack, I told her in the hospital to reunite with Charlie as we weren't sure if Kaori would be able to leave the hospital. Kaori also wanted to see Charlie again, telling me her memories on how she left him behind when she came back to Japan. So we planned on meeting him in August which he would have time off and it would be in between Kaoris last competition and when Kaoris new job begins as a music teacher.

I would head stright to Ma Fille Bakery where Kaori and Yoshiyuki (Kaoris Father) was being overwhelmed with Customers, Ryouko Miyazono (Kaoris Mother) had a day off and was out with her friends, today was a busy day as Ma Fille were debuting a new bread, a sweet type of bread with icing all over it and chocolate drizzled over it as well. I put on my preparation gloves and began helping out with the baking and serving customers for the rest of the day until closing time.

After finishing up, Yoshiyuki began to clean the bakery whlist me and Kaori began walking back to our house, whlist Yoshiyuki and Ryouko were looking after Chopin for a few days as they were going to take him to the beach.

"How come it got so busy at the Ma Fille, I thought you said you could handle it yourself" I said

Kaori lightly punched me in the arm (It hurt a bit) and said "I could, it was just a product that just looked so good" Kaori still had a sweet tooth and was in a daze thinking of that new bread that got her parents bakery a lot of customers today.

"What did you do today, did you practise today" said Kaori, after all these years she still pesters me to practise piano

"I didn't practise as I was looking after Chopin" I said

"Could of played some music though, did you do anything else" said Kaori

"Well I spoke to Watari on the phone, he and Tsubaki were buying clothes for their new baby and then I spoke to someone else on the phone" I said

"Who" said Kaori

"Charlie" I said

As soon I said it, Kaori stopped in her tracks, her expression had changed, her eyes looked serious, but her mouth was trembling, "What did you talk about and what was he like".

"He sounded like a really nice guy, hes a computer programmer who's apprantly built Anti-Virus software, so he is also pretty smart, he also still has your violin from years ago" I said

Kaori remained slient for a bit before replying "What did he think of me"

"By the tone of his voice on the phone call, He's excited to meet you, he wanted to speak to you there, but as you were working, I gave him your number so he can call you after work" I said

Kaori smiled and her eyes brightened slightly "I might call him when we get back"

A few minutes later

Kaoris POV

Me and Kousei came home after ahard day of work at Ma Fille, Chopin was away for a few days with his grandparents down at the beach, I immediately got myself mentally prepared to call Charlie and then Kousei gave me his number and then i made the call.
