"Revan, I need a baby of my own, just like Victoria!" Layla, the beautiful wife of the Phenex House head, ordered her careless husband.

Layla was a youthful woman with a curvaceous body and incredibly long blonde hair. Her face was adorned with delicate features, matching golden eyes and striking eyebrows with hair wrapped in a loose ponytail which helped them to stretch all the way down to her hips. She was presently donning a nightgown, covered with various images of the mythical Phoenix.

"I think we have already talked about it a long time ago, Layla. So what's the point of bringing this conversation to my attention all over again?" the head of the Phenex conceded his wife's order with a scowl on his face.

Layla clenched her hands. "But I want to be a mother too, Revan. Victoria already has Ruval, Riser, and one other child but I have none." She intoned gently, appearing very serious about the sensitive topic. If there was anything that she wanted in her tasteless life then it was a child of her own. A person whom she could call her family.

Revan twitched slightly in response, looking equally serious and annoyed as she was. "I know, Layla. I know but I can't do anything about it. Hell, even you can't do anything other than living with the cold reality that is your existence. You can't have children, Layla and the sooner you accept this, the less pain you'll feel." He growled.

"I-I..." The Phenex matriarch stumbled back in surprise. The cold but true words of her husband were enough to coerce her mind, after all, who in their right mind enjoyed hearing that they couldn't have children because they were born in a certain family that had a long history of infertility. "Then how am I supposed to become a mother, Revan?" She whimpered with a sad scowl on her adorable face.

Revan went quiet because even he didn't know the answer to Layla's question. All that he knew was there's only a slight chance of her ever becoming pregnant, a chance so slim that it could be dubbed as impossible. His wife was one of those few devils that had no chance of procreation and that fact alone was enough to make him mad. Out of all those beautiful females of his time, he chose her as his second wife and now he was paying the price for his ridiculous decision. Although he had many children already, having a few more didn't hurt anyone, did it? "I don't know, Layla." He whispered.

"But-"

"Sleep!" Revan yelled and before he could realize what he had just done, numerous torrents of blazing hot flames inundated the whole room, scorching everything that dared to touch them. "Layla-"

"How dare you yell at me, Revan?"

The heat increased and so did the fear in Revan's heart. Sweet and fragile as she might look while talking about having babies, Layla was actually one of the most powerful Phenex ever born and he couldn't help but respect and fear her power at the same time. Those flames and the scorching heat also made him realize just why he had married her in the first place. He wanted her flames for his children.

"I'm sorry-"

Layla's sharp blue eyes got lost in the yellow storm of fire. "Shut up!" She growled, hurt and sorrow evident in her voice as she spoke.

Revan lowered his head in shame and anger. "Y-yes." He whispered and blinked when the flames finally died down, leaving behind raw proof of their destruction. Now was his chance to make amends. "Layal-"

"Shh… I don't want to talk to you anymore, Revan." The lady whispered and stood up on her feet.

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know."

[Konoha]

The village hidden in the leaf was now nothing more than some stacks of destroyed rocks, deserted streets, and burned out woods. Clouds of gloomy ash were looming over the decimated village and unidentifiable lifeless bodies of citizens were lying here and there on the roads.

The reason behind the enormous destruction of the village was none other than the catastrophe in the form of a Nine-Tailed Fox named, Kyūbi. A fox who somehow broke out from the body of its former container, Kushina, and infuriated by the years of internment it had endured because of humans, brought chaos to the peaceful village and its inhabitants. The beast didn't spare anything or anyone from its retribution. From the swing of its tails, the fox destroyed mountains and by the power of the incredible Bijjūdama, it demolished an uncountable number of buildings and houses.

The explanation to the breakout of the fox was anonymous to most of the public, but to utter relief of the residents of villagers, their hero, The Yondaime, managed to gain a victory against the enormous fox and dragged it away with himself inside the belly of the Death God, Shinigami.

While most of the people were either involved in the reconstruction of their houses or searching for their families, one particular person could be observed sitting on the head of the Yondaime Hokage.

The person possessed grey hair, a set of brown eyes, and a slim body that carried years of knowledge within it. The face of the person was covered in wrinkles and marks which were like a bare giveaway of the age of the person.

The asserted individual was none other than the Third Hokage of the village of Konoha, Hiruzen Sarutobi. The man was currently eyeing his precious village that was simmering within the flames of hatred and sorrow. The exact wonderful village that his sensei, Hashirama Senju concocted years ago in order to provide home and safety to numerous sauntering clans and thousands of innocent civilians. "I'm very sorry, Sensei. I couldn't protect your village" After a long suffocating silence, Hiruzen finally vocalized his pain, face devoid of any feeling except for the burdensome grief. "I couldn't do anything Sensei, that creature was too much even for me to handle" he augmented his words with a subtle scowl on his face.

He then drifted his stale eyes to the direction of the forest that surrounded his village and couldn't help but look down in disappointment as his mind recalled the events which had transpired a while ago. He lost his wife Biwako, his inheritor Minato, his daughter in all but blood, Kushina, and an innocent newborn who probably didn't even notice what was going on around him. "All because of that Masked man!" he roared, showing his frustration to the world. That man stole everything from him and Minato in a single night. He murdered everyone, from Biwako to the young Kushina. That bastard didn't even spare poor and innocent Naruto from his vengeance. "If only I had been a little more aware, Minato" he whispered.

That masked man would have done nothing if he had been more cautious of his surrounding, but unfortunately, he lowered his defense after the sealing of the beast and paid the price for it in the form of Naruto's life. The masked man caught sight of the opening between him and his associates and utilized a very powerful time manipulation Jutsu with the help of the damn bizarre chakra of that plant man.

"I'm sorry Minato, I couldn't save your legacy. I'm sorry..." Hiruzen whispered with a faraway look on his face.

'I hope you find a better world this time, Naruto.'

The inter-dimensional void was a very extraordinary place. It was like an infinite ocean of animated colors and remarkable patterns. As far as one's eyes could glimpse, there was nothing but colors and illustrations, except for a little room which was located in the remotest corner of the rift.

The said room was nothing remarkable, it was simply a tiny room made up of precisely organized concrete blocks and strange white energy. It was further decorated with incredible ripple patterns doused in purple hues which were inscribed on both sides of the walls.

Presently, the room was inhabited by three people who were garbed in elegant white robes.

The first individual was a tall pale-skinned man, who had a face coated with thick wrinkles and a sharp jawline. The man endowed spiky, shoulder-length light brown hair and a chin-length, laced lock of hair in front of his left ear. His face also donned a fairly long goatee, a pair of horn-like protrusions on either side of his forehead, and a red ripple-like marking in the center of his forehead.

The second person was also a tall man with short and spiky brown hair and an elegant face which adorned locks of hair wrapped in bandages that framed either side of his face. Just like the previous individual, this man adorned a striking jaw-line and a pair of brown eyes with a tinge of yellow in them.

The third individual was a handsome man with long brown strands of hair that were cut short on top and were held in a cylindrical manner on the back. He possessed dark onyx eyes that were surrounded by bright blue markings and an identical sharp jawline.

"It's very unfortunate that the story of your descendant Naruto has to end like this, Ashura" the elderly man spoke in a voice that emanated utter sorrow and grief.

Giving attention to the words of the elderly sage, the man known as Ashura let out a sigh and nodded his head in sadness. "I still can't believe Zetsu went this far to make sure no one hampers his plan. Naruto was just a child, he could have at least spared him" he growled as his eyes tirelessly stared at the dimension rift with no sensations within them.

"Huh?! He's Zetsu, he doesn't care about anything, except for his mother. He will try anything, doesn't matter how severe the consequences are, in order to make sure his plan turns out to be successful" the third man who had onyx eyes snapped at the duo, no doubt annoyed at the mention of that black prick who dared to exploit his life for his own benefits.

Ashura glanced at his brother. "I know Indra-nii!. It's just... I'm angry at the fact that he killed an innocent child for that and because of his selfishness I'll not be able to transmigrate for a while now. With Naruto gone, my chakra doesn't have any vessel to transmigrate into" he spoke with a cynical look on his face. Now, how was he supposed to resolve the conflict between him and his brother? That Zetsu ruined everything.

Indra stayed silent for a minute before a small chuckle broke out of his mouth, a move that immediately put the other two occupants of the room on alert. "Have you forgotten beside who we are sitting, Ashura? The mythical Rikudō Sennin. A man who can accomplish the impossible and I don't think rejuvenating Naruto's body is that hard of a chore for him. Right, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki?" he snarled, not even making an effort to conceal the amount of hatred he held for his stupid father.

Hagoromo receded at the harsh and disrespectful remarks of his elder son. The impact they had on him was still as powerful as it was in the past. Countless times, he and Ashura had attempted to alter the beliefs of his elder son, but Indra would never pay attention to them, and because of that, he was still very far from redemption. "It's accurate that I can rejuvenate Naruto, but even my powers have limits, Indra. After reviving him, I can not transfer his body back to his realm. His remains are stuck between two prominent realms, so restoring him to life would instill no good. Let him join his parents in the spiritual land of the afterlife." The old sage presented his explanation with a stoic expression on his wrinkled face.

A subtle spasm of flickering Sharingan was Indra's response to his father's arguments. "Lies!" The red inside his eyes gleamed in fury. "You simply don't wish to see me and Ashura battle each other for a while now," he growled.

Ashura, who was listening to the explanation of his father, glared ever so slightly at his brother when he spoke those cold words. "Nii-san, don't talk to father like that. It's for the best that we quit this dispute of ours, once and for all. You have to understand it, Nii-san, only love can bring peace to the world-"

"Shut up Ashura! Until I ascertain that I was right, I will not resist fighting you!" Indra roared furiously as the sharingan inside his eyes morphed into the treacherous Mangekyō. "You can never comprehend, Ashura, for how long I have been waiting for that special moment when I ultimately win against you and establish you both as FALSE" the rage inside his voice stunned the other two men as they had never seen him that mad before.

"No, I will never allow it, Indra-Nii" came an immediate answer from a shocked Ashura.

Cold red eyes of Indra regarded the brown haired man for a while before they finally drifted back to their true source of hate, Hagoromo Otsutsuki. "You know, I'm honestly getting tired of your beloved son, father. He just doesn't understand what it feels like to have the entire world in your hands. I, on the other hand, know very well about everything and that's why I-" the words inside his mouth unexpectedly perished away when the wounded and torn body of Naruto materialized in the void out of nowhere.

Discerning that the body was simply finishing the inter-dimensional journey to the afterlife, Indra closed his eyes in gratitude and respect. Insignificant as the boy might be, he still died at the hands of his foolish descendants and that fact alone was enough to make him sad. 'I hope he finds his family-' his red eyes snapped open abruptly when a shrewd idea reached his devious mind, an idea that could alter everything for him and would satiate his hunger for power and affection.

Living a life full of hate and scorn had become a requirement of some sort for his transmigrant and he wanted to change that. So smirking wickedly to himself, Indra looked at his father and blinked. "Oh, dear father of mine… I have a fascinating proposal for you" he whispered like a vicious serpent who's about to pummel its prey.

Witnessing the sudden change in the expressions and the voice of his son, Hagoromo became a little cautious, but that didn't stop him from hearing Indra out. "What type of proposal?" he inquired, appearing all too skeptical of the abrupt plea.

'Checkmate!' The progenitor of the Uchiha clan thought gleefully. "I can see that you want to end this eternal dispute very badly. So just for you and my lovely brother Ashura, I'll end this conflict once and for all," he murmured with an even face, but on the inside, he was smiling like a maniac as he wallowed in the stunned expression of his brother and father.

"What do you want in return?" The elder sage shortly inquired, knowing very well how cunning his elder son could be. Indra would never do anything this substantial unless it profited him to a great extent. His son was like that.

"I want you to revive Naruto."

A deafening silence fell over the whole area.

"Why?!" Snapping out of his shock, Ashura asked his brother, looking every bit as cautious as he should be.

A moan filled with irritation escaped Indra's lips. If they kept advancing like that then he was sure it won't be too long before he loses his temper. "I'm just exhausted by this repetitious cycle, Ashura. I want to try something new, something that doesn't involve the shinobi world. I'll leave that world to you and your power of love." he said as his eyes turned over to look at the body of the child.

"By something different, are you trying to..." Hagoromo paused as the bitter realization eventually dawned on him. "No, I can not allow you to do this, Indra," he exclaimed, startling his younger son as he did so.

Clenching his hands tightly, Indra conjured a fake smile on his face, something that was very crucial for his plan. If he wanted to manipulate his father then he needed to restrict his anger and smile more otherwise nothing would ever come out of their conversation. "You really are an unfair individual, father. In the past when we were still young, you did everything you can to stop the feud between us two brothers, telling us that it was harmful to the world but now when I'm practically offering you an opportunity to resolve the issue once and for all, you are resisting my proposal" with a dissatisfied shake of the head, Indra mumbled.

Hagoromo felt as if he had withered away as soon as he heard the words of his elder son. Although they were harsh, he still couldn't deny that they were true too. "I know Indra, but what you're aiming to do is not a nice thing either. It can ruin the balance between the two realms." he made an effort to argue with his son in hope that he would realize why the idea was not reasonable.

Unfortunately, a hollow chuckle was all Hagoromo received in response from Indra. "I should have expected it because there's no way you would ever agree with me, father. I bet if Ashura was in my place then you would have upheld the suggestion without giving it a second thought!" like an unconquerable firestorm, Indra's comments flooded the whole room with hatred.

"You are absolutely-" the old sage tried to argue but was again quelled by his annoyed elder son. "I'm not wrong. You have always preferred Ashura over me" Indra snarled as Mangekyou began to whirl in his eyes.

Knowing that his father was being cornered by his brother, Ashura decided to intervene in the discussion. "Father, if Indra-nii truly wishes to revive this child, then please do it. I don't see any harm in that," he suggested because no matter how absurd the proposal came across to his father, for him, the end of the feud was more important than anything at that moment.

Hagoromo remained quiet for a while before an incoherent sigh fled his lips. "Fine" he whispered, not even realizing that he had just proven Indra right by accepting Ashura's suggestion. "But the body of this child will need chakra to survive. Since Kurama-kun is no longer sealed inside him, I'll require a very enormous source of a potent chakra to revive him" he described, a small frown emerging on his lips at the mention of his dearest Kurama.

Noticing that it was his descendant who was going to be revived, Ashura was about to nominate himself but couldn't when Indra spoke before him. "I'll grant him my powerful chakra and eyes, father. I hardly have anything to achieve in this place anymore, so I don't mind awarding this child with my chakra" with a delighted smile on his face, Indra began to stride towards the infant, inclined to share his powerful chakra with him.

At that instant, Ashura understood his brother's agenda. Pointing an accusing finger at him, he yelled loudly. "You want to move to that new world with the help of this child, Nii-san! Don't you?!"

Ignoring the disturbance caused by his little brother, Indra kept strolling towards the lifeless carcass of the child. After arriving at the destination, Indra tapped the boy's forehead with his index finger and on cue, a malevolent wave of purple energy engulfed the child. "I hope to see extraordinary things from you, little Naruto." He spoke to the boy who was still covered in the energy. "I don't know why, but when I saw you, I felt this extraordinary sensation in my heart, a sensation that told me you're going to be the one who'll show everyone the strength of Indra Ōtsutsuki. I hope at least this time I'm not wrong, Naruto" his lips lowered down in shame as his mind recalled the ridiculous failures that his descendants turned out to be in the shinobi world.

Shaking away the sad thoughts, he was about to stand up but hesitated when an incredibly important thought struck his mind. 'How could I forget that?!' Indra talked to himself.

Not wasting any more time, the man gently grabbed Naruto's right palm and soon, a symbol resembling a crescent moon materialized on the skin of the boy. "Do amazing things, Naruto, and remember to love your mother dearly because they rarely discriminate between their children!" With that said, Indra helped himself to walk away from the child and signaled his father to utilize the ultimate technique of the Rinnegan.

Hagoromo immediately understood what his son meant to say by that gesture. Clapping his hands tightly, he positioned them in a praying manner and then articulated a few words.

"Gedō Rinne Tensei!" "Art of Rinne Rebirth".

For a short period of time, nothing exceptional happened, but soon a weird blue colored contour materialized in the hands of the sage. Beckoning the blue light towards the body of Naruto, Hagoromo smiled. "You are a very extraordinary individual, Naruto." He whispered to the boy. "Because my son Indra has never gone this far for anyone, not even for himself. So, I hope you do great things wherever you're going and make him proud." As soon as he ended his speech, the blue light penetrated the body of the mentioned child, making it twitch and fly in the process.

While everything was happening, Ashura on the sidelines, couldn't help but sulk when he saw the blue light infiltrate the body of his descendant. No matter what his brother and father said, he couldn't allow his descendant to recede in hatred like that. Naruto was and would eternally be his descendant and it was his responsibility to keep him safe. 'Yes. I need to keep him safe from the harmful effects of Indra-nii's chakra.' He thought and closed his eyes as he placed his index finger on the ground, an action that didn't go unnoticed by his father, who only smiled in response.

"It's very tragic that we couldn't stay together for long, Naruto, but remember, I still believe that you'll grow up to be a very good person and will help those in need. After all, you are one of my descendants and they never disappoint me!" he hummed with a content smile on his face.

If his brother's chakra ever tried to influence Naruto's mind, then his powerful and potent chakra would always be there to protect him from it.

"Also, I hope you somehow end up with a loving family this time!"

[Kuoh]

As she walked through the green and crowded park of the small city, Layla couldn't help but wonder how in the heavens the stupid devils were able to acquire this beautiful town from the Yōkai.

No matter how hard she imagined, her mind still refused to come up with a plausible explanation for the whole thing. It was like the devils just secretly stole it from the Yōkai while those idiots never even realized what had happened in the first place.

Whatever the reason or the conditions were for such an exchange, Layla was glad her faction managed to acquire this beautiful town somehow. Always stuck in that dreadful place that was the Underworld, she had forgotten about how beautiful the human world could be if it wanted to.

Decorated with lush green trees and beautiful buildings, the town was something out of fairytales, or at least that's what it looked like to her. The artificial towns of the Underworld while being just as beautiful as their human world counterparts lacked one major thing according to her and that was humans. It was humans and their emotions that made these towns so beautiful, something that those towns in the hell could never hope of achieving.

"Mama, look at that lady, she's so beautiful!"

Her blue eyes flickered with happiness when a small girl who was playing with her mother smiled at her, while pointing out her beauty to her apparent jealous mother. The woman was looking at her as if she was an abomination and Layla couldn't blame her for that. Humans were envious creatures and it was inevitable that they would hate something they couldn't attain or triumph over.

Supernatural entities' charm and beauty were one of those things and it was evident that humans would hate them for that. After all, beauty and charm carried a lot of power and influence in their mortal world.

"Yeah, Suki-chan. Now let's go to that other ride in the park."

Layla couldn't but smile when the mother practically began to drag her daughter away from her. Although funny for a while, the whole incident soon made her realize one thing. "She had a family of her own." She whispered as the bitter reality shattered her heart into a million pieces.

Beauty and charm were temporary but a family and the happiness that it brought with itself were eternal. Her beauty on which she was fawning over a while ago would eventually cease to exist and could never win against the love and support that women receive from her daughter daily.

"Now, I'm jealous." An awful smile bloomed on her beautiful face as she found herself at the end of the spectrum this time. It was funny how she was laughing at that lady a while ago and now that same lady had ruined her whole day without even saying anything. "Vile humans and their families" she muttered under her breath and began to walk towards the dense part of the park in hopes of finding something interesting there or at least a place where she could sit and mourn solemnly.

It wasn't long before she finally arrived at her desired destination.

A small clearing surrounded by nothing but a thick layer of huge trees and a pond filled with crystalline blue water. Overall, the place was exceptionally beautiful and Layla was sure she could waste some precious hours of her life there.

"Finally, I can rest now." A sigh escaped her plump lips as she quietly sat down at one of the benches that were placed around the pond for sightseeing. "Life has been a little tiring these days, especially with Riser being so annoying for no reason." She whispered, remembering vividly how the child had pranked his father on his birthday. For Layla, it was both amusing and horrifying at the same time. Amusing because the target of the prank was none other than that stupid man Revan and horrifying because it made her realize that if somehow she's able to have a child it could very well turn out to just like Riser. Obnoxious and wild.

"No! My child will not be like Riser" She refused to even entertain that thought. A son like Riser was a nightmare and she had witnessed it first hand because she was the one who had raised him alongside Victoria, not Revan and she knew very well how bad Riser was when it came to learning manners. "My child will be more like me. Composed and smart. Yes, that's how my child will-" she paused when she realized just how stupid she was sounding at that moment.

Someone who hardly had any chance of having a child of her own shouldn't be behaving like her. "I-I" she found it hard to articulate any words now that the cold reality was right in front of her eyes. "I just want a child, that's all!" She grumbled, her voice decreased to a mere whisper now as lost herself in the shallow world of her dreams.

She continued to lament over her miseries for a while before she was brought back to her senses by a shrill cry that suddenly entered her ears, shocking her with the pain and discomfort it carried. "Huh?" Blue eyes began to wander around the area in search of the source of the sound but couldn't find anything.

'Waah!'

Her ears again perked up when the sound returned, this time even louder.

"What is that?" Layla asked herself, trying her best to find the owner of that painful cry. From the sound of it, that seemed like a child's cry but that couldn't be possible, right? Why would someone leave their child alone in a place as dark as this part of the park? She couldn't help but wonder while denying to believe that it was a child.

'Waah!'

Her heart skipped a beat because this time she heard it correctly. It was clear, obvious as the skies above her. It was a child's cry. "Oh dear Satan," she gasped and stood up from the bench in an instant.

'Waah!'

Sharp blue eyes began analyzing everything critically, leaving no area unscathed by their gaze.

'Wa-waah.'

She froze when the voice of the child began to dwindle and soon got overwhelmed by the chirping of insects. Now no longer she could hear it because the damned insects were making so much noise. "What happened?" She asked herself, fearing what might have happened in the darkness of the clearing. Was the child ok? Her heart asked her mind, making her numb in the process.

'Chirp!'

Her hands twitched.

'Chirp!'

Flames began to materialize around her.

'Chi-'

A suffocating silence consumed the whole area as streams of flames roasted the whole area where the outrageous insects were dwelling a while ago. Now everything was silent again.

'Whhhaa…'

Soft and almost inaudible, her heart jumped with satisfaction and surprise when the voice entered her ears again."There!" She yelled and glanced in a particular direction from where the sound was coming.

In an instant, she was in front of the wild bushes that were hiding the child from her eyes. "I hope the child is fine and healthy" she whispered but her hopes died an immature death as soon as her eyes fell on the bloodstained blanket that was protecting the child from the thorns around him. "Shit!" A scream escaped her mouth as she jumped into the bushes without even caring about her safety. For her, saving that child's life was the most important thing at that moment.

"No, no, no, no…" her mouth went dry when the blanket that was covering the child was removed from his body, revealing wounds that she had never thought she would see on a body of a newborn baby. They were terrible, so much that she found herself looking away from him in order to escape the suffering. "Please hold on for a while dear!" She whispered as she began to use the only healing spell that she knew. 'He's dying…' A sad and heavy realization settled within her heart, twisting and pulling it in ways she couldn't explain.

"Please don't die!" Her eyes settled on the bloodied face of the child again but couldn't stay there for long because of the bruises and cuts that were decorating his soft skin. "I don't want to see a child die like this!" Lowering her head in shame, Layla kept on trying her best to save the life of the child.

"Waah~ wa~ wa~ aghh!"

Red stained her hand and froze her to her place. "H-he is coughing blood" she whispered and immediately increased the power behind her spell. Restrictions be damned, right now she needed to save this innocent child and send him back to his parents.

"Waaa… Bwaho!"

Layla felt her heart drop when the child finally looked at her and gurgled for the one last time before closing his eyes forever. What used to be a beautiful and innocent child was now nothing but a corpse covered with nefarious liquid of red color.

"I-I'm so-" she tried to formulate an apology but words refused to come out of her mother. It was like they were rebelling against her at that moment. "He died because of me" Truth finally came out of her mouth, and believe her when she said it stung badly, it really did. "If I had found him a little earlier then I could have saved him with my healing spells!" She yelled at no one in particular. "It's all because of me!" Insults after insults, Layla didn't stop berating herself for her stupid mistake.

"I'm pure evil-"

She paused and her eyes grew wide in surprise when a strange idea hit her mind like a huge boulder. It was preposterous, she knew but at that moment, she didn't care. "But I don't even know his name, and what about his family?" her head again lowered down in shame.

"I'm horrible. I'm a horrible individual" she muttered to herself, tears ready to fall from her eyes. "I'll never be able to forgive myself now." Her wails came to an abrupt halt when her eyes noticed something written over the cloth that was covering the pale body of the child.

'Japanese?' Gently she raised the child to eye level and began to read the syllables that were inscribed on the soft blanket. "Na-ru-to?" She finished with a sad smile on her face. "So your name was Naruto ehh?" Her guilt filled eyes stared at the lifeless body of Naruto.

'Whaa…'

Her heart almost ceased to function when suddenly the child moved his hand and grabbed one of her fingers gently within his grasp. It was amazing and she couldn't express how incredible she felt at that moment. "No. I can't let him die like this!" she was going to save the boy. If he had a family then he wouldn't have been in this condition in the first place. He was probably an orphan or someone who was disliked by his parents for some reason. Again, she didn't care.

"Naruto…" her soft fingers caressed his soft cheeks as a box decorated with numerous diamonds materialized beside her. "I'll save you, my child" she whispered and opened the box gently, revealing shiny new chess pieces.

"Now."

A magical barrier abruptly formed around the duo, concealing them from the eyes of humans.

"What should I use for you? A rook piece?" She asked him and blinked when he looked at her in response, surprising her with his vibrant blue eyes that were close to being shut again. "Blue…" her eyes twinkled in happiness. He had her eyes, she thought, and almost squealed when she saw his hair. "Blond!" He was just like her.

Her son.

At that moment, she finally made her decision

Picking up the queen piece from the box, she created the necessary magical circles required to reincarnate an individual as a devil. It was her first time doing this and she would make sure it would be worth it both for her and her child.

Her child.

Her heart fluttered again as a strange sensation swarmed it from all sides.

"There," she smiled as she placed the Queen piece on the boy's chest and watched it disappear into his small body. "Now-" She was about to recite the spell for the procedure but had to stop her mouth when the ground beneath her started shaking violently. "What is happening? Is it an Earthquake?" she exclaimed in worry as she tried to balance herself on the shaking floor.

"Snap!"

Hearing the strange sound, Layla immediately turned her attention back to Naruto, only to gasp when she finally saw the extraordinary sight in front of her.

Massive... No very enormous amount of distinct purple and golden energies were flickering around the body of her Naruto. It was as if the energies were attempting to burn her and her child, yet executing no damage to neither of them at the same time. "What's happening?" she couldn't hide her shock anymore. Her mind was captivated by the amount of energy that was blazing around her child.

"Roar!"

Her blue eyes widened to unnatural proportions when the energy began taking the form of an ethereal monster with a face so vile that it could make Satan faint from fear.

"..." Her throat went dry when the half torso monster raised its hand and gently tapped her forehead. As soon as they made contact she felt a surge of energy inside her but before could ask any question the monster vanished just like it had appeared.

"Naruto!"

She quickly picked up her child and smiled when she heard his cute little snoring. "I finally have a family of my own!" she exclaimed with a teary face as she let out the grief she had sheltered in her heart for years.
