Healing

People had always found Kabuto's methods a little strange.

His 'father' most of all.

The healer who took the young Kabuto in wanted Kabuto to be a conventional healer, but Kabuto was not a predictable person. So Kabuto learned his own ways of saving the ninja who lay dieing in the field. He discovered aconite, which was usually use by ninja to kill, could also alleviate those in pain. He found that some injections wore off as they aged, prompting him to try to make new, better medicines while still at a young age.

But most of all he learned how to tell when someone is beyond help.

When Kabuto went out onto the field and kneeled beside an injured ninja who rasped weakly, "Heal me!" Kabuto stood and left the man to die in the field, because others needed his help who were not upon death's door.

So when it was Kabuto's 'father' who lay in the dust and asked for help, any kind, when it was the man who had raised him who was to far along the road towards death to live, it was Kabuto who whispered, "I will."

It was Kabuto who cut out the newspaper clipping and pinned it to his wall, a constant reminder that he could stop the pain of those doomed to die.

The head of healing died today, with a kunai to the heart. Members of the squad confirm that he was alive, but with a fatal injury to the head after the attack. After an examination of the body, members of the squad conclude he died quickly and felt no more pain then his head. The owner of the kunai is unknown, but any information on this would be greatly appreciated. He leaves behind 12-year-old adopted son, Kabuto. Story continues on C4.
