Love At First Sight?

Now, you can probably imagine why this chapter is named this? It's a very popular saying when someone feels that way about someone when you first meet them. I have never had that experience myself but I imagine it's a great feeling haha! So our feathery friends are going to be heading to the club to find RDJ and Roberto some ladies…but what if the girls are impossible to get? I suppose we will just have to find out!

The evening had arrived in Rio de Janeiro, and around this time of the day, you could see that the golden sun had suddenly changed colour. From a bright golden yellow into a faded orange as it made its way beneath the sea of clouds, replacing it with the illumination of the bright crystal white moon. Brightening up the night sky with its bright beauty.

Let's first of all head over to the females Jewel and Georgia, as they are still getting themselves ready for the night ahead of them.

Jewel always liked to spend a lot of time on her appearance, because she wanted to make herself look really sexy and appealing, for her boyfriend to show her off up everyone. Making all the males feel envy over the fact that Blu has the girl. Whereas the females would be curious as to why a female so pretty would be with a guy like Blu.

"Wow Jewel? You are going all out tonight?" Georgia admired her beauty, as she just finished cleaning and preening herself.

"I got to make myself look really sexy Georgia! I've got to make myself look so good, that all the males in there will be envious! When I'm finished, I'll help you out with your look!" Jewel replied with a warm grin, as she picked up a leaf and started cleaning her face.

"What's wrong with the way that I look now? Is there something on my feathers?" Georgia became very self conscious of her appearance and started panicking. She spun around trying to brush her feathers down and she looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Woah woah woah Georgie calm down!" Jewel ran over to her and grabbed her shoulders, rubbing them softly to calm her down as she took some deep breaths to regain her focus. "There is nothing wrong with your feathers at all! You just need a little bit of…pizazz you know?"

"Pizazz?" The yellow macaw female cocked her head to the side, purely because she had never heard this word before.

"Come on I'll show you! Take a look at what I'm doing!" Jewel replied as she walked over to what looked like a tree growing out the side of the river, and she stuck her wing inside a crack in the bark and pulled out a wingfull of tree sap.

"Tree sap? What are you going to do with that?"

"You mix it with a little bit of water…like so…" Jewel cupped her left wing and poured some water on the sap. Making the substance a little smoother, and she rubbed her wings together and started rubbing her own feathers with the sap. "You see? It's like a moisturiser, and it makes your feathers look all clean and sparkly! You give it a try!"

She walked over to Georgia and placed some sap in her wings, poured some water on top of her wings and then she got her wings at the ready. "Okay…what do I do now?"

"Rub it on your feathers, very smoothly, and make sure you do anti clockwise circles on your chest feathers. So it doesn't ruin your colour or make your feathers all messy!" Jewel replied as she finished with her chest, and she moved onto her legs and talons.

"Okay? If you say so!" Georgia replied a little unsurely as she began rubbing the dampened tree sap into her feathers…and she felt so relaxed and so smooth when she did what Jewel showed her with the motions. "Woah! This feels great!"

"I told you it does! Trust me Georgia…as soon as you and me walk into that club tonight…all the males around us will be drooling! And Blu, and Zeek will be so focused on us in the club, that we know they won't be doing the whole look and no touch with other females hehehe!"

Both of them giggled mischievously as they continued doing what they were doing. Just so they can prepare themselves for what was about to come this very evening.

Now We Go To The Guys…

"Hey guys? Does anyone else here feel…kinda itchy?" Zeek started whining In annoyance as he was standing on top of a man made structure in the jungle. With Blu, RDJ and Roberto by his sides. "Are you sure that…ahhh…oooo…that was good for my hair?" He kept scratching his hair so much, as he was incredibly uncomfortable.

RDJ and Roberto started snickering really quietly behind him, at the thought of the blue and gold macaw male putting itching powder in his hair. An hour before they were meant to go to the club tonight.

"I don't know buddy? Did you put it on your head properly? Or did you just sprinkle it on?" Blu managed to keep his calm and brave face on, when seeing him feel so uncomfortable.

"I sprinkled it on? Ahhhh! Why?!" He grumbled again as he continued scratching his head.

"Oh no! You weren't meant to sprinkle it on! You were meant to rub it in! Now you are going to be itchy all night!" RDJ spoke up while keeping his laughing under control. But every so often he would smirk and chuckle as he saw how irritated his best friend was.

"Damnit! I'm going back to the stream to wash my head again!" Zeek grumbled as he jumped off the structure and vigorously flapped his wings to her back to the stream where they just were.

As soon as Zeek made it out of their sights, they checked to make sure he couldn't hear them. All three of his friends soon burst into laughter and rolled on the floor hysterically, kicking their feet up in the air. Holding onto each other at this hilarious moment.

"Oh my god, did you see the look on his face?! He was in tears!" Roberto remarked as he bashed his wing on the wooden podium so many times that he almost snapped it in half.

"I know! I can't believe that he thought it was good for his head! Everyone knows that tree sap is the only thing good enough to moisturise your head!" RDJ replied, wiping away his tears. He found this practical joke so funny, that he nearly fell off the platform from laughing so much.

"Yeah, but this was supposed to be his big night tonight! I hope we didn't ruin it?!" Blu responded with a mild chuckle. His friends also nodded their heads in agreement.

The four of the males waited on that man made structure for almost two hours now, and the only thing that was on their minds at this very point, was what was taking the girls so long to get themselves ready.

"Jeez, the ladies have been at the river for almost a couple of hours now? Why do you think it takes them this long just to get ready?" Roberto asked, casually leaning up against the wall with his wings crossed.

"Come on dude? You know Jewel just as much as I know her? She likes to take her time to get herself ready? I remember when we were all planning to go to the beach after drinks at the beach bar, and we waited almost three hours! Three hours for her to get ready and meet us there!" Blu replied amusingly, rolling his eyes and chuckling mildly at that vague memory.

"Can you blame her though? You gotta admit, when she did finally arrive, all the guys in that area had their eyes glued to her! Blu and myself had to fend off other males that tried to make moves on her! You know that when you are with a girl like that, you gotta expect other guys to be leering at her like she's a freshly grown mango!" The blue and gold male responded briefly, but then he closed his eyes and imagined what she looked like that day. "Ooooh, I can see her now…mmmm nice!"

"Dude! Don't fantasise about my girlfriend!" Blu gave him a little slap to snap him out of his thoughts, and he slowly turned around to face him with a malicious smirk.

"Too late! Oooh…now there are one hundred of her and I'm their king!" He carried on winding his friend up, which made Blu just a little more irritated. "They are one by one giving me massages and…"

"Stop it! Cut it out! Cut it out!" Blu kept playfully shoving him, and he eventually stopped an just grabbed him by the shoulder.

"Oh relax buddy! I'm only kidding around! Besides, I bet when we go to the club tonight, there will be hundreds of other guys fantasising about your girlfriend!" RDJ joked again and he continued laughing with Roberto.

"Ohhhh…Fuck you!" Blu cursed at him and shoved him playfully on the shoulder.

"Hahahahaha! RDJ you slay me!" The muscular blue male chuckled so much that the podium he was leaning up against snapped off, and he almost fell off of the structure. But luckily the blue and gold male pulled him back up and got him back to his feet. "Phewww, that was a close one! Thanks for the help buddy!"

"No prob…oooh here he is!" RDJ replied as they noticed that their yellow macaw male friend returned to the group. And he had a look of relief on his face after making the trip. "Feel better?"

Instead of words, Zeek nodded his head in agreement and put his wingtip up like a thumbs up. Then laid back down on the floor next to where Blu was standing.

"Okay, so…Zeek…there is something…hehehe…that you should know about your…little situation earlier?" RDJ began speaking as he approached the yellow male with a face that showed he was about to make him really angry.

"What…is it?" Zeek huffed in tiredness as he wiped the sweat away from his forehead.

Where he was about to tell his best friend very slowly and very calmly what they actually did to him…the muscular blue male behind him instantly jumped into the equation and told him exactly what happened.

"Do you…ummm…hehehe…remember that…thing, we found on the beach last week?" Roberto started off slowly, as both Blu and RDJ just held onto each other preparing to laugh again.

"What? Oh the…wait…" Zeek paused for a moment as he tried to remember what they had found that day. But as his thoughts have come to the conclusion…he instantly widened his eyes in horror. "YOU PUT ITCHING POWDER ON ME?!"

"YES!" All three of them chorused really loudly and fell on the floor laughing, screaming in hysterics in between laughs.

"You…You…Fucking pricks!" Zeek growled in infuriation and tackled RDJ to the floor as he was wrestling with him in irritation.

Where RDJ was clearly much stronger than him, he didn't have the strength to actually do anything, because he was laughing so much that he didn't fight back.

"YOU DICK! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" Zeek shouted as he hit him a few times on his chest, and eventually got pulled away by Roberto and Blu.

"Because it's funny! Come on bro? You have to admit that it was a very good joke?" RDJ replied as he finally stopped laughing and wiped away his tears. Just as both of his friends did in the process.

Zeek sighed heavily in defeat, and tried to take the joke very well. So he just sucked it up, formed a smile and did smirk a little bit. "Yeah…that was pretty good! You got me!"

"There he is! My best friend ladies and gentlemen!" RDJ joked and patted him on the back.

"Guys? Do you realise that we've been standing here for nearly three hours now?! Where the bloody hell…" Blu was about to complain about the fact their girlfriends weren't there yet, but before he finished his sentence, a soft wing tapped him in the shoulder.

"Are we? We are right here my clumsy goofball!" Jewel's voice was heard from behind him, and if that wasn't enough to convince Blu that the girls were there. He looked at Zeek, Roberto and RDJ, who had their jaws all dropped to the ground. As none of them couldn't really think straight when seeing the two of them arrive.

The chubby blue male slowly turned around to face the girl he loves, and as soon as he did so, his jaw also dropped really low to the ground.

Jewel stood there with her head feathers all sparkly and neat, with a silky smooth flow to it. Topped with a pink orchid like she normally wears to show off her hair. Her face, beak and nose were all clean and shiny, with a natural glow which made her turquoise eyes really stand out. Her entire body was sparkling bright with a powerful shine, with her chest feathers silky smooth also, and her talons were also pampered and smooth. She was absolutely stunning!

As for Georgia, her head feathers were all brushed down to her sides, which complimented her facial features to give it a very smooth and sophisticated look. Her beak and nose was also very clean and shiny, with her face all sparkly and neatly scrubbed. With her body it was a little different because she had a more curvy body compared to Jewel. So her feathers also had a powerful shine, as they all neatly complimented her feathers down to the tail, with her talons also clean and sparkly. She was also a complete stunner!

"Well? Aren't you guys going to say anything?" Georgia giggled in amusement when seeing that their male friends were all stunned into silence.

"Ughhhhhhh…" RDJ, Roberto and Zeek just paused while mumbling something, and had a hard time coming up with any words. Mainly because they thought the girls were absolutely stunning. Blu however somehow managed to gain the courage to speak.

"Wow girls! You two look…unbelievable! Is that tree sap?" Blu asked curiously as he brushed his wings against Jewel's cheeks. "You look beautiful my love!"

"Thank you Bluey!" Jewel giggled and blushed in embarrassment, before Blu leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. "How about you Zeek? How does Georgia look?"

"Sorry…what?" Zeek got taken out of his thoughts when he heard Jewel speaking, and his friends just chuckled behind him to take the piss out of him. "You look amazing honey! I bet you'll make RDJ and Roberto's future girlfriends look like trash!"

"HEY!" RDJ and Roberto blurted out in annoyance and crossed their wings.

"Okay guys, we've been waiting around here for a while now, let's go to the club already! I can't wait to see how cool it looks!" Jewel finally decided to cut the crap between everyone and get their minds focused on tonight's events.

"Alright, one thing that I forgot to mention! This place is very classy and very cool! So you have to remember to keep your cool!" Zeek spoke up to his friends and girlfriend in a serious tone, as he aimed his focus mainly on RDJ.

"Why are you looking at me?" RDJ widened his eyes in pure shock, and put his wings on his hips.

"No starting fights this time round!" Roberto added as he too was on the same page as Zeek.

"In my defence that parakeet was flirting with Jewel! She was my friend and needed my assistance!" He defended himself while crossing his wings.

"Fair point! Now can we go? I'm pumped to see the new club!"

"Okay guys! Let's fly!" Jewel announced to her friends as they all leapt into the air in perfect synchronisation and all flapped their wings to go right back into the city to find this brand new club!

Half An Hour Later…Outside Blue Sea…

The night had just arrived in Rio de Janeiro! And the whole city was buzzing with life and colour! Humans were out on the streets preparing for Carnival, birds would be dancing on top of houses and buildings as they listened to the creative music from the locals. And as for the main event…Blue Sea was packed with a lot of the local birds!

The club was so special and so amazing, everyone wanted to get inside! But the bouncers outside were two very heavily built harpy eagles. Who of course were deciding who was fit enough to enter the club, and who wasn't classy enough to enter the main doors.

"NEXT!" One of the harpy eagles shouted as he took what looked like a baseball bat out from behind a small podium. He held it with a very strong grip as a couple of green macaws walked up to him from the line. "Hmmmm…the girl can enter because she's totally hot! But for you sir…I'll tell you what? You let your lady friend kiss me and I'll let you in also!"

"Come on man? She's pregnant with my child?" The male green macaw whined as he stood in front of his mate.

"Ohhh fine! You two have a great night!" The harpy eagle groaned as he let the two of them in.

"Jeez Zenon! Do you have to go this crazy with every customer? This is how we lose business!" His associate piped up as he started letting some young males in the club. "I know that this is a classy place, but the boss wants this to be a successful business!"

"I know Derick I know! NEXT!"

Soon, our favourite group of birds all landed just outside of the club, with the two ladies in front and the four males at the back. Causing both Zenon and Derick to grin seductively at the two ladies in particular.

"Well…helllloooo ladies!" Zenon remarked in a sly tone as he kept staring at Jewel's chest. "So how are those two girls doing on the pair of you two?" The male referred to the women's chests, causing RDJ to get a little irritated and went to get in his face, but Jewel stuck her wing up to stop the blue and gold male from attacking him.

"They are doing great thank you! We are just here with our boyfriends and our best friends!" Georgia remarked as she turned around to reveal four really agitated men standing behind them.

"Oh relax would you Zenon?! Sorry ladies, sorry gents! Have a good night now!" Derick opened up the doors and allowed the six of them to walk inside, leaving Zenon incredibly annoyed. "What the fuck is wrong with you?!"

"I am trying to have a little fun here?! You know the way that she was looking at me right? She looked like she wanted a piece of me!" The harpy eagle male grumbled while crossing his wings. Mainly because his friend cramped his style.

"She looked like she wanted to kill you! Just do your fucking job, and do what the boss says! Who's next?" Derick called out as he saw a few more birds trying to get inside.

Just Inside The Club…

The atmosphere inside the club was absolutely riveting! The lights that illuminated the room were a light pink colour, mixed with others such as orange, green and red. Bouncing off the disco ball to give the room a spectacular scenery!

This club was so posh, that there was a twenty metre bar that crossed the entire back wall, with drinks mainly served in martini glasses, with many servers and bar workers to cover the customers.

There was a grand big stage in the centre of the club, which looked very light and sophisticated. With the tables and chairs all separated from each other so there was room for them to walk past each other with no problems. This place was truly incredible!

"Woooh, would you check out this place?! This is a little bit of me this is!" Zeek remarked with a cheeky smile as he rubbed his wings together. "Look at how smooth and cool this place looks!"

"I know? You wouldn't find RDJ in a place like this?" Georgia remarked with a giggle, causing her friend to give her an unamused smirk.

"Hahaha Screw you!" He joked back in response, very subtly giving her the middle wingtip.

"Alright, I suppose we better go and find ourselves some seats I guess? Oooh, there's one by the front of the stage there! RDJ, you go!" Blu remarked quickly as he ushered his friend forward.

"Why am I the one doing everything here?" He rolled his eyes in irritation, and quickly did what he was told and made it to the front table and immediately sat down to secure the front table. "Ahhh, this is a good table!"

All of his friends followed him shortly afterwards, and they made their way down to where he was sitting, all eager to get good seats for the show.

"Okay, Blu and Jewel should sit on the inside, with myself and Georgia on the other side! Then Roberto and RDJ can sit on the edges of the seats so they can try and get their ladies!" Zeek decided to arrange the seating order, and pointed to each seat where they would be seated, even though it was pretty much like a booth.

All of them waited for their friend to stand up and gradually move out of the way, as one by one they all got into their positions and sat down on the seats. Once RDJ and Roberto were left, RDJ sat next to Zeek on one side, and Roberto sat next to Blu on the other side.

"I cannot wait to see what this show is gonna be like?! Do you reckon it's a band?! Or or or some performers? Oooh oh oh oh oh oh…OWWW!" Zeek kept guessing what was going to happen, and his girlfriend became irritated. So she slapped his face irritably.

"Will you please shut up! God…what will it take to get a drink around here?" The yellow macaw female groaned as she clicked her wingtips a couple of times to try and summon a waiter. "Hello? Anyone around? Need a few drinks here?!"

Suddenly, a blue spix's macaw female slowly made their way up from behind Roberto and Blu, smiling at the group of birds while holding a tray in her wings. "Sorry for the wait madam, I was with another table!"

"Madam? Oh no please! Call me Georgia! This is my boyfriend Zeek! My friends Blu, Jewel, RDJ and Roberto!" Georgia introduced all of her friends to the young blue female, who smiled and waved at them.

"Pleased to meet you! My name is Jacqueline! But you can call me Jaqui!" The female introduced herself as she shook wings with her, while smiling at her new friends.

But where all the others were all shaking their wings and being very polite…suddenly Roberto just sat there and widened his eyes in awe.

He just gazed at her in complete silence, with his jaw slightly dropping in the process.

Once Jacqueline turned around and met his gaze, she smiled at him warmly and thought she'd do a bit of flirting with him. "You liking what on the menu tonight? Even though I'm not talking about the drinks…" She cheekily remarked as she placed a wing on her hip.

As Roberto gazed back into her eyes…he was completely at a loss for words…and he only managed to get out a few small words.

"H-H-HI there! I am…ughhh…I am…Bertorob…No! Robeto…NO! Roberto! Yes! Roberto!" The muscular blue male immediately managed to tell her his name, and she began giggling and blushing because of how nervous he was.

"What a pussy!" Jewel snickered while the rest of them just realised that he was failing miserably.

This was before Roberto quickly gave his best friend a nudge in the back of her head when Jacqueline wasn't looking.

"Well hi there Roberto! My name is Jacqueline! But you may call me…" She paused for a moment as she leaned in and whispered something in his ear. "Jaqui…" She sensually whispered before batting her eyelashes at him.

"O-Okay hehehe Jaqui!"

"So? What can I get you guys?" Jacqueline quickly shook her head to get back into the working frame of mind, and got herself ready to fetch the drinks.

"To make things easier for you? Just bring us six beers? Is that okay with you guys?" Jewel spoke to her friends, who all nodded their heads in agreement. "Okay, six beers please!"

"Six beers, coming up!" The blue spix's female spoke with a warm smile, and turned around to face Roberto, giving him a cheeky wink. Before walking away from the table…with of course, Roberto just leering at her as she walked away.

"Woah…those hips!" The muscular blue male thought to himself as he watched her move, and he slowly turned his head back around…only to be met by five cocky and cheeky smiles. "What?"

"You…like her!" Jewel teased her best friend while giving him a really playful nudge.

"That obvious huh?" Roberto sighed in defeat, stealing another look at the blue female's face.

"Obvious?! You were staring at her for so long, that you could have drooled on the table!" Jewel got very excited about this, and she tapped her wings on the table. "You should totally go and talk to her!"

"And say what?! I couldn't even get out a sentence a few seconds ago?"

"Look buddy, if you want something bad enough, you should definitely go for it! Plus…I can tell that she likes you too!" Blu remarked as he placed a wing on his shoulder.

Roberto took one last little glance over his shoulder and saw that Jacqueline was halfway through making the beers, and she did slightly see him glancing at her. She smiled and started by waving at him in a flirty manner.

"Alright! I'm gonna do it! Wish me luck guys!" Roberto whispered cool like, as he smoothly stood up and slowly made his way over to the bar, only for Blu to quickly push a stool out in front of him. Making him trip over it and land flat on his face. "Oooff! BLU!"

"Hahaha Enjoy your trip?" Blu whispered as a joke, and gave Zeek and RDJ fist bumps.

"Oh shit!" Jacqueline came running over to him straight away and kneeled down to see if he was okay. "Are you alright Roberto?"

"Yeah…haha…sorry about that! My friends and I play tricks on each other all the time!" The blue male laughed with a slight touch of annoyance. As he had a little glimpse of his friends just chuckling and pointing their wingtips at him.

"It's okay haha…it's good to have a group of friends who…"

"JACQUELINE!" Suddenly, a very muscular scarlet macaw male strolled up to the blue female and crossed his wings in annoyance while glaring at her. "What did I tell you about slacking off during work?! I told you if you'd do that one more time, I'd fire your fucking ass!"

"Sorry sir…I was…I was just…the thing is…" The female stuttered in fear as she saw how angry her boss was getting. But luckily Roberto saved her from the embarrassment.

"Actually sir, it's my fault! I tripped over the stool there, and she was only trying to help me!" Roberto responded charmingly while bowing in respect to the scarlet male.

The scarlet male took one good look at Roberto with a real dirty look, and looked back at Jacqueline, who just froze up in fear.

"Jacqui…is the truth emerging from this…guy?" Her boss asked once more as he glared at the blue spix's female.

She took one look at Roberto and saw him smiling at her, nodding his head in her direction, and slowly turned back to face him with that same fear in her eyes. "Yes…it's true!"

"Well…alright! Just get back to work! And you sir, please enjoy the show! We will be starting now!" The scarlet male asked the muscular blue macaw as he walked back away and over to his seat.

"Thank you! Maybe I'll see you…after the show?" Jacqueline whispered to her saviour in a charming way and kissed him on the cheek, before returning back to her job. Leaving a smiling Roberto who gracefully touched his cheek as he watched her leave.

"Wow…she is…something!" He thought to himself as he made his way back over to his friends and sat down next to Blu, with a really smug look on his face. "Ahhhh, she gave me a little peck on the cheek! And…she wants to meet me after the show!"

"Whoooohooooo…one down, and one to go!" Jewel beamed happily and shook his shoulder playfully. "She was a hottie!"

"Yeah, she really was!" Zeek remarked cheekily, before getting a slap from his girlfriend on the back of his head. "OWWW! I was only joking?!"

"Yeah, sure you were! Hehehe!" Georgia giggled under her wing before kissing him romantically on the beak. Causing RDJ to just groan softly.

"If you guys are gonna do that? Can you at least do it outside?" He seriously asked the yellow couple, who just rolled their eyes at him.

"Come on now buddy! Roberto now has a girl who is interested in him! Now it's your chance to find somebody!" Blu piped up and started looking around the club.

"Oh come on guys? I'm not that desperate! If I'm gonna find someone, it has to be special! Like…in the moment? You know? Where you feel like that you are in this world, where it's just you and…"

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"

"Saved by the bell…" RDJ immediately got cut off his sentence by a very loud blue throated macaw, who stood proudly on the stage with a microphone in his left wing.

"Okay guys, settle down now!" Roberto whispered to his friends, who all got comfortable and waited for the performance to begin.

"THE BLUE SEA CLUB IS OPEN FOR THE THIRD DAY RUNNING! WE HAVE A FULL HOUSE TONIGHT! PERFECTO! SO…PUT YOUR WINGS AND TALONS TOGETHER…FOR THE BEST SINGER IN ALL OF RIO!" The bird announced to the crowd as they all clapped their wings in a positive atmosphere, and focused all their attention to the spotlight on the stage.

"Oh god…this isn't going to be one of those fucking karaoke singers is…it…" RDJ began speaking at first as Zeek wrapped a wing around his girlfriend and his best friend. But once he saw who emerged from behind the curtains…a certain female macaw…he immediately began to feel his heart racing…and he couldn't believe his eyes, and felt like the whole world had stopped around him as he gazed at the female on stage. "Woah…she is…she is beautiful…"

Now who do you reckon that is eh? So you saw in this chapter that our friends do like to play practical jokes on each other! And Zeek clearly wasn't happy about that one bit! Roberto has already found himself a girl who he would like to get to know in Jacqueline! (A shout out to JAQUI THE SPIX who allowed me to use her OC, thank you!) And we all remember Zenon right? The malicious harpy eagle? Yeah that's right! In this universe he is a gangster! And of course RDJ has his eyes glued to the stage now…but why is that? I guess you'll have to find out…in the next chapter! See you all soon!
