Can Love Heal Wounds?

Hey my brothers and sisters of Fanfiction! In the last chapter we met the head gangster Felix, his girlfriend and singer Lila and of course we had a few intense moments! Where RDJ was completely in awe when watching Lila perform, little did he know that she was already with Felix! But now our poor blue and gold macaw friend is now heavily bruised and beaten by Felix's gang, and Roberto was taken to safety by Jacqueline. So how about we get to the chapter…shall we?

1 Hour Later…

Roberto and Jacqueline were strolling through a dark alley in a very rough and poor part of the city, and where this would normally be a dangerous place where humans were either killed or robbed, for birds it was completely harmless.

The two blue spix's macaws walked up to what looked like a really tattered and damaged building, and Roberto was instantly confused.

"Jacqui, you have to tell me…why are you helping me?" He asked casually in a calm manner, and still felt a slight blush as she pulled on his wing towards this weird abandoned place.

"Because if I didn't…you'd probably be dead by now!" She simply replied before stopping in their tracks, and she gave him a warm grin. "Can you help me with the door?" She asked politely as she grabbed one side of this rusty iron door.

"Alright?" He replied a little unsurely, as he did feel like he was going to expect a surprise or two when entering somewhere he had never been before.

He grabbed the other side as requested, and the two of them used all the strength that they could muster, pulling the door aside with ease.

"Okay, get inside and help me pull it back!" Jacqueline requested to him, and the two of them quickly walked into what looked like a small yard, with the grass as dead as a manure field.

The two of them once again used their strength and pulled the door back, and managed to cover their tracks so they wouldn't be seen.

Jacqueline sighed heavily in relief, and then once again grasped Roberto's wing, as she began escorting him through the yard.

"What…is this place?" The muscular blue male asked his new friend. Who took a deep breath in, and began explaining the history behind it all.

"A few years ago, me and my family lived here for many years to find a place that we can call home! Away from human eyes, and out of sight from the city. This used to be a peaceful place…me and Lila would play here almost every hour of every day! Mainly because our parents…abandoned us a few years later…"

"Why would they abandon you? Was it in terror?" He asked another personal question, as they approached another small door only a few feet away from them.

"They abandoned us because they wanted to give us independence…but I believe they left us at too young of an age! After Lila's parents left she was heartbroken…so she barely spent enough time around here!"

"Then what happened?"

"Eventually me and Lila started moving from place to place in the city, trying to hide from the humans, and hide from others! Because we were afraid to trust others who had no relative interest to us…but…" Jacqueline paused for a brief moment and they stopped just outside of the other door.

"But?" Roberto asked in concern as he placed a soft wing on her back, making her blush a slight red.

"Felix found us…gave us a job in his business! At first…he was really flirty with Lila, and he made her feel really special! He wanted to give her a job as the singer in a new club, but he wanted to kick me out!"

"What?! What a bastard!" Roberto growled in irritation as he found it really insulting that Felix would kick her out for no reason.

"I know…but Lila stood up to him and told him that either I stay, or we both go! So…that's when I got my job as a waitress! And she got the job as the main singer…but not only that…"

"He made her his girlfriend…" Roberto replied quite bluntly as he tried his best not to insult her about that decision.

Jacqueline slowly nodded her head and turned around to face him with teary eyes. "He was incredibly obsessed with her! He used to touch her when she didn't want it, beat her if she says no to him, and worst of all…he put ideas in her head that he was the only one who'd ever love her and that nobody else shall have her! That's why Lila stayed with him for so long!"

"Not because she loves him…but because she's afraid of him!"

"EXACTLY!" She emphasised as she punched the wall of the building in front of her. "Why the fuck would you want to be with a man who beats you and tells you that you are nothing?! Look, I love Lila way too much to see her get hurt like this…but now she feels like that nobody is ever going to love her…because of that gangster dickhead!" Jacqueline finally finished explaining everything about her past, and the tears began rolling down her cheeks.

Roberto took a long deep moment to really think about what Jacqueline had said…and it did make him really think about this. He was genuinely feeling the pain of the blue spix's female, and even that brought a tear to his eye.

But something that she mentioned about nobody loving Lila…it did spark something in his mind…and he slowly lowered both his wings to her face. Elegantly lifting it up, and he used his wingtips to dry her tears away, smiling at her warmly.

"You know…Felix only says these things, because he feels like that he wants to have a sexy female as a mate…but, he was wrong about everything! Especially about someone who would love her more than he would!" He explained in a humble tone, using his wing to dry away her remaining tears.

"Who?" She asked him curiously, sniffing a couple of times to get the tears out of her nostrils.

"RDJ!"

"Your friend? The really muscly guy?"

"Yeah! You know…ever since Lila walked onto the stage, he couldn't take his eyes off of her! That's the first time he was so mesmerised by a girl since I've known him my entire life! If anyone is going to show her that kind of love and affection, it would definitely be him!"

"How can you be so sure?"

"Trust me…he is the best guy that I know! He always puts others before himself, and he is a very loving guy!" Roberto finished explaining as he glanced up at the door they were standing in front of. "Enough about that for now, where are we going?"

"Huh? Oh! You'll see!" Jacqueline shook off the conversation they were having, and she heavily knocked on the door, to alert whoever was inside of their presence.

Suddenly, a small flap slid aside on the door, and a pair of eyes looked out what looked like a letter box with very serious eyes. "What's the password?"

"Felix Die!" Jacqueline replied with a giggle, making her new friend give her a very weird look.

"So…I take it you aren't a fan of him?" Roberto chuckled as the door was being unlocked from the inside.

"Trust me hot stuff…nobody here is a fan of that prick!"

The door flew wide open very quickly, and it startled the muscular blue male beyond belief. Considering the fact that he's not exactly big on surprises to a certain extent.

"JAQUI DARLING! WELCOME BACK BABE!" A male macaw beamed as he ran up to the blue female and embraced her toughly, giving her a big hug. "It is soooo good to see you!"

"Hehehe It's good to see you too bestie! I'd like you to meet someone! Roberto…this guy right here is my bestie, Martin! Martin…this my ummmm…friend? Roberto!" Jacqueline blushed a little when introducing Roberto, because she did fancy him a little bit.

"Well now…who is this…mmmmm…fine specimen?" Martin sensually whispered while licking his beak. He extended his green wing to shake with Roberto's. But the male just felt too uncomfortable to shake wings with him. "Ahhhh I see…I made you a little uncomfortable?"

"Kinda…" Roberto responded with a straight face, as the green winged male retracted his wing.

"Apologies darling! I am a very terrible flirt! But one thing I am good at, is making new friends! Please, make yourself comfortable here, but please don't break anything! Most of these objects I found I kept here!" Martin explained a little seriously and decided to stroll off into the back of the room.

"Erm…is he…?"

"Gay? Yes! But we don't judge him for his life choices! He's a good guy with a really big heart! Not everyone you see here has had an easy ride!" Jacqueline explained, before making herself comfortable and sat down on what looked like a half broken deck chair. "Please, take a seat!"

"Okay!"

Roberto sat on the deck chair just next to where hers was, and she laid down on her side, facing him with a flirtatious grin. Making the muscular blue male blush a little bit.

"Roberto…we may as well make ourselves comfortable here for a little while! Felix will be sending his gangsters out to search for us! As long as this place remains a secret…then we can be safe from their threats! Which means…you cannot tell your friends about this place!"

"What? Not even RDJ?"

"No! Nobody must know where this place is! Especially RDJ! After what happened at the club today…he surely will be a huge enemy for Felix and his associates! I just hope…I just hope that Lila is okay…"

Roberto saw the amount of emotions that were building up inside of Jacqueline, and he felt quite bad that she is feeling really upset about her best friend.

Knowing the kind of person that Roberto was, he didn't like seeing her feeling this way, so he placed a soft comforting wing on top of hers.

She looked up at him with tears in her eyes, and she locked eyes with him, and she smiled deeply and grasped his wing, making both of them feel quite giddy.

"Don't worry Jacqui, I'm sure that Lila will be okay…and besides? I'll be here to keep you company! I wouldn't let anything bad happen to you…I promise!" He spoke in a soothing tone, before getting up from his deck chair and he sat literally next to her.

She leaned on his shoulder as he wrapped his wing around her, then the two of them laid down on the deck chair together as they enjoyed each other's company.

Now Let's Find Out Where RDJ is shall we…

In the very same park, the same one where Zeek screamed at that poor blue throated macaw. It was a very dark and beautiful night here in Rio.

The locals were heading back home from either days out at the beach, days in the city where they would spend most of the time, or the fleeing customers from the club our friends got kicked out of.

On one particular spot in the whole of the park, our beloved blue and gold macaw RDJ was sitting on what looked like a small park bench that would normally be big enough for human children. But it felt like a regular park bench to birds because their talons could just about reach the floor.

RDJ sat there with his head in his wings, and the only thing you could hear was the sound of his cries. As he felt incredibly embarrassed by what happened in the club earlier today…but was that the real reason why he was crying?

"Sniff…Sniff…W-W-Why is it…that after every girl that I like, they always have a boyfriend already? Why can't I find love in this stupid world?!" He sniffed and whimpered, as he wiped away his tears with his wings. "How could a…smart…beautiful…sexy and…astonishing girl like Lila be with a guy like…HIM!" He emphasised the last word with disgust, referring to the scarlet macaw male Felix.

As he continued to sit there, crying to himself about what happened. He thought that he was the only one by himself sitting in the park. But he didn't notice that someone else had managed to find their way into the park.

"I just don't get it! Why would you want to be with someone who treats you like you are a joke?! I would never do that to a female! Especially…"

"Ummmm…hi…"

RDJ immediately paused in the middle of his sentence…as he just heard a familiar voice standing just a few paces to his right…a voice that he really loved hearing…but afraid of responding to.

The blue and gold male slowly turned his head to the right over his shoulder…and his eyes fell upon that very same bird who he was talking about…Lila.

"Ummm…hi?" He replied a little quietly, but surprised, as he wasn't expecting to see her this late at night.

What was weird about the way Lila was walking, was the fact that she had a wing covering her right eye…RDJ was a bit confused by this.

"Ughhhh…hi again!" Lila responded a little uncomfortably, and she slowly made her way over to him, and stood right next to where he was sitting as she wanted to talk to him. "Is this seat taken?"

Instead if responding with verbal consent, he extended his wing and patted the spot next to him, allowing her to sit next to him.

"Thanks…" She nervously replied, before smoothly sitting down next to the bird whom she had met in the club almost an hour ago. "I ughhhh…figured you could be here?"

"Really? Did your boyfriend tell you that?" RDJ responded a bit disgusted by the way that Felix treated her. And he was just about to get up and walk away, but before he got up, she quickly grasped his wing with hers, making him look at her with a very confused glance.

"Please…don't be afraid of me? I just…I just don't want to be alone right now!" Lila replied with a pleading face, as once again her bright purple eyes locked with his. "Please stay?"

"I don't think your boyfriend will like it if he saw us together…he'd probably kill me the second time!" RDJ replied sadly before slowly sitting back down again, and relaxed on the bench as Lila slowly let go of his wing. "What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be back in the club?"

Lila sighed heavily with a really defeated look on her face, but what she still didn't do, was remove her wing from her face. Which made his curiosity grow.

"Why are you covering your eye like that? Did you get something in your eye?"

"Ummm…yes! Something flew into my eye and ughhh…I'm afraid that it could be infected?" She clearly lied, because she felt ashamed of what she was hiding from him.

"Can I take a look?" He asked sweetly as he scooted a little closer to her, but as soon as he gently touched her wing, she immediately repelled and backed away from him. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Yeah…it's just…please don't look at my eye…I don't want you to see it!" She replied in fear, with a slight touch of anxiety as she felt really upset about the fact he could see her like this.

"If you let me look, then I might be able to help you?" RDJ quickly got up and approached her with his wings up, but Lila immediately backed away in terror and held her wings up.

"No! You can't! I…I don't want you to see how ugly it looks! Please, don't hit me!" Lila covered her face with her wings and began pleading in fear. "Please don't hit me, please!"

"W-W-What? I'm not going to hit you?" RDJ was completely shocked that she would think that of him, and lowered his wings to his sides.

The blue spix's female slowly looked up at him, and blinked her eyes in confusion as she saw that he was looking at her in concern. "You're…You're not?"

"Of course not! What would make you think that I would want to hurt you?" He asked soothingly while approaching her steadily, trying not to spook the female.

"I just…I just thought that…you would hit me…like…" She softly muttered while tears emerged from her eyes.

"Like Felix? Fuck that guy! I am nothing like him!" He responded softly as he gently grasped her left wing. "Please…can I see what is under your right wing?"

"O-O-Okay? But…I'm afraid that you'll think less of me?"

"Why?"

"Because of this…" Lila slowly lowered her right wing to her sides…and she instantly began tearing up again.

RDJ gazed at what was hidden behind her wing, which revealed to be a black eye. And as soon as he saw this, he gently placed a wingtip on top of her eyelid, and massaged it smoothly. "Did he…Did he do this to you?" He spoke in a saddened tone, when he rubbed her eyelid.

"Yes…back at the club…when he slapped me!"

"That…asshole! Does it hurt much?" RDJ asked as he took a closer look at her, looking at her black eye very closely. "It doesn't look like it's a long lasting one? Hey…I actually have the perfect cure for this! But…Erm…"

"What is it?" She asked him sweetly and rubbed his wing in a friendly manner.

"We would need to…ughhh…bathe?" RDJ whispered the last part quite nervously as he gazed into her eyes.

"Ohhh…hehe…ummmm…okay? If it's gonna ugh…make me feel better?" Lila was a little reluctant at first, because technically bathing with another guy behind her boyfriend's back would put her in a really tough situation. But on the other side of the argument, she wanted to look her best again for when she sings on stage.

"Y-Y-Yeah! Erm…come with me! I'll take you to where we need to go!" RDJ extended his wing for her to take.

She looked at his wing unsurely at first, thinking that maybe this wasn't a great idea. But like she thought earlier…she didn't really have much of a choice? Plus…she wanted to stay as far away from Felix as possible.

"Okay…let's do it!" Lila beamed and grasped his wing, and the two of them walked through the park to go to where RDJ intended on taking her to.

RDJ kept his eyes ahead of the pathway, not even looking at the girl he was walking with, because he felt too nervous to stare at her. Because he was very anxious that he might spook her and she would run or fly away.

Lila however did completely the opposite, she couldn't take her eyes off of RDJ. She wasn't even staring at his eyes or back per say…she was walking just besides him and she was glancing at his abs, which were more muscular than Felix's, but it's also his strong biceps that left her in a trance.

"So…unmmm…where is this place that we are going?" The blue spix's female finally broke the silence between the two, as they have been quiet for quite some time now.

"It's just over by those trees near the western side of the park! It's a pond that we can get your eye sorted out! My mom told me that she came here all the time with my father for a week! Then after a week of repeating the same action, her black eye just like yours, vanished! Don't worry, we will have your injury fixed up in no time!" RDJ explained very soothingly, as he did take a quick glance at her.

"But…what about you?" She asked him curiously, cocking her head to the side in confusion.

"What about me Lila?" The blue and gold male turned to look at her, with the blood from earlier still pouring down his face.

"You're hurt!" She spoke in concern and used her wingtip to wipe some blood off his beak.

"It's alright, I'm fine…"

"Ohh no you don't! If you're going to help me, at least let me help you! It's the least I can do!"

"I spilled drink on you don't forget?" He smirked a little, while blushing slightly in embarrassment.

"And I let my boyfriend attack you! Please…I want to!" Lila placed a wing on his chest, and stopped him in his tracks.

Once she realised what she did, she instantly retracted her wing and turned away from him. Brushing her head feathers over to the side because she felt quite awkward.

"Well ummmm…I suppose it couldn't hurt?" RDJ softly replied as he pointed at the pond that was literally just in front of them. "Okay…just give me two minutes, and I'll find what we need!"

"Wait, what do you mean by…"

"HUAAAAAAAAA! SPLASH! Suddenly, RDJ dove into the pond head first like an Olympic diver, going straight underwater and completely out of sight.

Lila blinked her eyes a couple of times in confusion when she saw him do this, and she just cupped her wings together because she was very worried.

"RDJ?" She asked quietly at first…as he was underwater for at least ten seconds or more. And a few bubbles had emerged to the surface of the water. She did feel a little anxious that he didn't return straight away. "RDJ?!"

A few more seconds had passed and he was still underwater…now she felt her heart racing. Because she already began feeling the worst.

"RDJ?! WHERE ARE YOU?! ARE YOU Ok…"

"PHUAAAAAAAAA…ahhhhhhh…haaaaa…you called?" RDJ responded rhetorically, and raised his head and shoulders above the water, just so that he could let her know that he was alright.

"Thank god…I thought you were caught in the weeds or something?"

"Hehehe I'm okay. There's more of a shallow end up the other side of this pond, but you'll have to fly over because I can just swim!" RDJ responded as he held what looked like some plants in his wings.

"Ughhh…actually I can't fly?" She replied very sadly, as she gazed down at her wings which looked like they were bruised.

"Oh no…did he hurt your wings too?" He asked her in fear, while keeping his head and shoulders above the water.

"Yes…" Lila mumbled again, and twiddled her trembling wingtips. "Plus it didn't help that I flew over here! Now they just hurt more!"

"Oh no…Okay…looks like you'll have to swim over with me!"

"What? But…But I…" she once again twiddled her wingtips anxiously while staring at the water.

"What's wrong?" He asked her in concern, swimming up to the side where she was standing.

"I ummm…don't know how to swim? You must think I'm a coward!" She started to tear up again, and felt a rush of anxiety flow through her body.

"What? I don't think of you as a coward? Okay, how about this? You hold onto me…and ummmm…I swim us over there?" He asked her quite awkwardly, and extended his wing.

"Ohhh…ughhh…okay?"

Slowly but surely, she took RDJ's wing, and she wrapped her left wing around his shoulders. Then she wrapped her right wing around him, linking it with her other wing to get a good grip.

"Okay, now for the awkward part…you have to wrap your talons around my stomach!" He spoke quite anxiously with a chuckle, as his heartbeat once again started beating faster.

Instead of responding verbally, she nodded her head slightly and proceeded to do what was asked of her.

She slipped into the water, and wrapped her talons around his stomach, which luckily for her he had rock hard abs so it was easier for her to hold on without slipping off.

"You ready?" RDJ asked her with a warm smile, while gazing at her anxious smiling face.

"Okay! Just please don't drop me!" She seriously spoke to him, without looking down at the water.

"I'm not gonna drop you…yet!" RDJ joked with her, as he proceeded moving his talons quite vigorously like what you would do doing the breast stroke. And he swam quite slowly across the pond, while carrying Lila safely.

Lila at first thought that being this close to him would make her feel really awkward and uncomfortable. But after the kindness that he showed her…she started to feel okay with this.

"Are we nearly there?" Lila asked curiously, as she noticed the water level underneath her was getting less and less deeper.

"Almost! You can try and swim it if you feel con…"

"No no! I'm fine where I am thanks!" She fearfully blurted out, holding onto him a little tighter.

In that very moment when she held on tighter, RDJ saw that her head was rested on his shoulder, and he gazed at her while she held on tight. Once again the blood has rushed to his cheeks, and he had butterflies in his stomach.

After a few more seconds had passed, RDJ finally let go of Lila, abs the two of them had made it to the shallow end of the pond.

She slipped off of him ever so gracefully, and she formed a wide smile as she got back on her talons. "Thank you for doing that…that was…really sweet of you!" She continued to smile at him with a slight blush.

"You're welcome…now…in my wing I have some pond weed! You need to dab your eye with it." He spoke in a calm voice as he gave her the strange soggy plant.

"Ewwww really? Your mother put this on her face?" She whined in disgust as she cringed at the sight of it.

"If you want your black eye to go quicker? Then yes! My mom told me if you stick a little bit of it on your eye, it applies cold pressure to it which makes the swelling go down."

"But it's all…mushy?" She squelched it in her wing, clearly feeling very unsure about this. But…RDJ placed a wing on her shoulder and calmly reassured her.

"Do you trust me?" He smiled at her warmly and massaged her other wing with his left wing.

Lila had to really think about what he was asking of her. Could she really trust a guy that she had only met only hours ago? Could she really trust someone who merely survived a beating from a group of viscous gangsters?

But when she thought about reasons on why she should trust him. The thought of Felix had entered her mind…little flashbacks of him throwing her into a wall, slapping her across the face, pressuring her with physical contact when she didn't want it. But most importantly of all, the fact that she doesn't even trust her own boyfriend!

The kindness and care that this one stranger has shown her in a couple of hours, is more than she had ever gotten from her so called boyfriend. So she finally answered his question. "Okay…I trust you!"

"Okay, dip the weed in the pond and make sure you rinse it out so you can apply it to your eye!" RDJ spoke softly as she nodded her head and proceeded to do what he asked of her.

Lila placed the now cold plant on her black eye, and held it there for a little while. Flinching slightly as it was a little too cold. "Bbbbrrrrrr it's freezing!"

"I know, but you have to do it a few times to try and get the swelling down!" He continued to smile at her as she repeated the same action again, applying cold pressure to her eye. "Okay, once you've done it a few times, you need to let the air get to it for the healing process to speed up!"

"You sure do know a lot about healing? Hehehe Are you sure you aren't a…doctor of some kind?" Lila grinned flirtatiously, and batted her eyelashes at him.

"You know…for someone who's in a relationship…you are quite the flirt?" RDJ responded cheekily as the blue female then dropped the weed in the pond.

"Well it's not like he appreciates it! Usually when I flirt with him he just tells me to piss off and come back later!"

"Clearly he's an asshole then! Right…well your eye is looking a little better now! You just gotta let the…let…the…air…g-g-get…to it…" RDJ began stuttering nervously, when brushing his wingtip on her blackened eyelid…but it wasn't the injury it was staring at…it's what was behind the eyelids which astonished him. "Wow…your eyes…they are…beautiful."

"Ohhh hehehe…well ummm…thank you!" Lila turned away from him and continued to blush, while feeling his wing brushed up against hers. But even though this was a very deep moment between the two of them. She immediately changed the subject to something different. "So ughhh…I guess it's your turn now?"

"Oh…right! Okay! So…what do you want me to do?" RDJ asked with a lot of fear and began laughing a little awkwardly. Knowing the fact that he had never done this before.

"Hmmmm…well…you have a bleeding nose? But it doesn't look broken? You have bruised wings so I suppose you had no problem with flying?" Lila asked him rhetorically as he shook his head from side to side. "But you have cuts all over your chest and…very muscular…stomach…" She trailed off a little bit as she began admiring his physique…but she shook her head slightly and returned to the task at hand or wing. "Okay, kneel down in the water facing away from me!"

"What, why?"

"Just do it!"

"Okay okay!" RDJ didn't argue with her and did exactly what she told him to do. He turned around slowly and kneeled down in the water, with only his stomach just above the water level. "Now what?"

"Just close your eyes…" She spoke the first part quite clearly, then leaned up up his ear and whispered the last part sensually. "…and relax!"

Once again he obeyed what was asked of him and he closed his eyes. Cleared his mind. Then he relaxed.

Lila took some tree sap from the very same tree, dipped her wings in some cold water, then by rubbing her wings together she was ready.

She slowly strolled up behind him and kneeled down in the pond, abs she used her wings to massage the injured parts of his body. Making him a little bit startled at first.

"Woah! Woah!"

"Oh my god! Am I hurting you?! I'm so sorry!" She quickly apologised and kept her wings on his pecks gently.

"No! No! It's not that! It's just…I've never ummm…I've never been…"

"Touched by a female before? It's okay…I'll be gentle…" Lila soothingly giggled at how freaked out he was, and continued to rub his body with her wings. Cleaning all the blood and dirt off of him.

"Hmmmm…ooooh, you are good!" He soothingly spoke as he felt so comfortable in this moment.

"Thank you…I always wanted to do this with…you know what, it doesn't matter! You still feel a bit tense? Why are you so tense?" Lila trailed off the subject of her so called boyfriend, and decided to keep the conversation going.

"It's like you said, I've never been massaged before by another female, so I'm a little new to this!" He replied a little ashamed by this, but once he felt her soft wings massaging him, he didn't want this feeling to end…well…that was until Lila had finished helping him out.

"Okay, you're all sorted!" She responded in a satisfied war and proceeded to get out of the other side of the pond. But that was until RDJ pointed out one last little…detail.

"Ummm…what about my nose?" He asked her kindly, and pointed to his bleeding nose.

"Oh! Right! Sorry about that!" Lila once again walked up to him face to face, and she took his face with her wings…deciding on how she should help him. "Okay, just keep your head very still!"

"I'll be as still as a statue!" He replied cheekily and gave her a sly wink.

Lila took some water with her wing, and she slowly wiped the blood away from his nose and beak, making him flinch a little from the pain. "Sorry!"

"Hehe It's okay…carry on!"

Once again she poured more water on his face, and leaned in a little closer to try and get the stains and dirt off of his face.

As this was going on, neither one of them realised that both of their heart rates were speeding up…they both felt butterflies…and in this moment in time…they only had one thing on their mind.

Both of them started to lean in towards each other…almost pressing their chests up against each other. With both of them not being able to give in to their own temptations.

"Oh my god…what am I doing?! I have a boyfriend! But…even though this is wrong…it feels so right!" Lila thought in her mind as her beak was edging closer and closer to his.

As RDJ continued to lean in, he felt so nervous that he began to start sweating. "Oh god…this is it…this is gonna be my first kiss! I better not mess this…"

"LILA!" A new voice bellowed from out of nowhere, and it immediately took both of them out of their trance, and Lila had to think of something quick to avoid RDJ from getting another beating.

"Oh SHIT! GET DOWN!" Lila quickly broke the silence between the two of them and shoved RDJ underwater, making him completely confused and stunned by what Lila just did.

"What the…AGGGGBBBBBBBYLLLL…" he was completely shocked by what she did, and he mumbled the last bits underwater, as he tried to save as much breath as he could.

"LILA?! WHERE THE BLOODY HELL…Oh, there you are!" The bird that was calling her name was indeed the harpy eagle male known as Zenon. "The boss is waiting for you to come home! What are you doing in there?"

"Ughhhh…just taking a bath! Yeah! I'm just bathing myself! Can you go back and tell Felix I'll be home in a second?!" Lila replied very nervously as she kept her talon on RDJ's head to prevent him from being seen by the gangster.

"Well, alright! But make sure you don't take too long! You know how angry he gets when he doesn't have…"

"Yeah yeah I know! Just please tell him I'll be back in two minutes?"

"Fine! But please hurry up! I'm not getting in trouble for you disappearing!" Zenon responded in annoyance and flapped his wings, leaving the park to go back to the club.

Once the male predator was out of sight, Lila immediately let RDJ go, and he shot out of the water very roughly. Breathing heavily and panting due to lack of oxygen.

"HUAAAAAAAA! What the…What was that about?!" RDJ grumbled in irritation as he wiped away the water from his eyes. "Why did you do that?"

"I'm so sorry RDJ! I had to do something quick because one of Felix's men came here! Are you okay?" Lila asked him sweetly in concern, as she patted him on the back gently.

"Ughhhh…I'm fine! God…who was that guy?" He managed to cough up any remaining pond water in his system and gained his focus back.

"That was Zenon…I have to go back now! Once again I'm so sorry!" Lila apologised quickly and pulled herself out of the water. Shaking her body to get the water off of her, then she turned around to face him with a warm smile. "Thank you for tonight…you are a really great guy!"

"Wait! Wait!" RDJ immediately followed suit and jumped out of the water, shaking his feathers also and he walked up to her, grasping her wing with his lightly. "Will I ever see you again? I got banned from the club remember?"

Lila placed a wingtip on her chin to think, and she didn't use a lot of time to make a decision as she instantly clicked her wingtips. "I'll be here tomorrow at 2pm! Can you meet me here?"

"Yeah…sure! That'll be great!" RDJ responded with a warm smile and went to give her a wingshake. But what she did instead really surprised him.

She walked up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, before smiling seductively and batting her eyelashes. "See you tomorrow…Mr muscle! Hehehe!" She cooed softly, and slowly turned around before walking away with the very same attitude that she had in the club, swishing her hips from left to right as she disappeared from his sight.

"Wow…she is…out of this world!" RDJ sighed happily as he touched his cheek softly, watching the girl he likes walk away. "I just hope Felix doesn't find out about this…who knows what he would do…"

What would he do indeed! I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! Jacqueline took Roberto to a secret hideaway where she spends a lot of her free time hiding from Felix. We once again have seen one of my favourite OC's that I have created in Martin! As it turns out Felix is a predator who likes to beat his own girlfriend and put ideas in her head! Disgusting! And of course Lila went to apologise to RDJ about what happened in the club! Where it started off as a simple conversation, and it ended with the two of them having a moment together when helping each other with their injuries l! So what will happen in the next chapter you ask? We did see a little more on Lila abs RDJ, so in the next one we will focus mainly on Roberto and Jacqueline, and what they did after the two of them arrived at the yard! Stay tuned for chapter 5!
