Learning The Struggles
Now, in this chapter ladies and gentlemen, we are going to now head back to Roberto and Jacqueline as we focus more on what the others in Jacqueline's secret club have to say about Felix and his gangsters. They may have found sanctuary in this secret place, but…what did they go through to be hiding from the public eye? Let's find out shall we?
Roberto and Jacqueline continued to lay down on the deck chair together, enjoying each other's company as the day went on.
Jacqueline was resting her head on Roberto's shoulder as he wrapped a wing around her. The two of them felt really comfortable and relaxed while laying together.
"Mmmmm…this is nice!" Jacqueline remarked happily, as she shifted her position slightly to get a little more comfortable. "Out of all the times I spend laying down in my own, wanting someone to make me comfy, I'm glad that you are here! Hehe!" She giggled cutely with a slight blush.
"Yeah, it is really nice! And you know what's weird? This doesn't feel weird to me! It feels…comfortable you know?" The muscular blue male responded as he stroked her sides with his wing, making her giggle slightly. "Hmmmm…are you ticklish there?" He asked another question mischievously, as he noticed that she did shiver a little bit.
"Noooo?" She laughed nervously and instantly widened her smile into an amused one.
"Uh-Oh…maybe you're gonna wish you never said that!" He chuckled mischievously once again, and he started tickling her sides with his talons, causing her to shiver more while giggling uncontrollably. "Hehehe! Ticklish much?"
"Hehehehe! Stop! Hehehehe! That tickles!" Jacqueline giggled more and more as she laid down on the deck chair clenching her sides. "Come on Roberto! Hahahahaha!"
"What's that? You want me to not stop tickling you? Okay!" Roberto laughed hysterically and decided to tickle her even more! He ended up tickling her with his wings and talons, and she couldn't help herself at all, but laugh hysterically.
"HEHEHEHE! PLEASE STOP! COME ON!" Jacqueline wriggled away from his grip and playfully shoved him so he'd stop tickling her.
"Okay okay!" Roberto instantly stopped tickling her when she asked him to, and he laid down on his side in a pose. While smiling at the blue spix's female. "Can I ask you something? About…this place?"
"Shoot!" Jacqueline replied with a bright smile, and placed a wing on her hip.
"So I already know what your story was…but what about Martin? What's his story?" The muscular blue asked as he shifted himself off the deck chair and stood right next to her.
"Now that my darling…is a story I can tell you!" The two blue macaws noticed that their green winged macaw friend had come up to them from out of nowhere, and he sat on one of the deck chairs. Sitting comfortably so he could tell them his story. "I don't want to go into a whole song and dance about it! But…let's just say that I'm…not the most common kind of birds?"
"What do you mean by that?" The muscular blue male asked, as himself and Jacqueline sat on the other deck chair opposite him, and they wrapped their wings around each other.
Martin took a deep breath and placed his wings on his lap, linking them together while crossing his talons over in an up right position. "So, as you may know, Felix owns a club named Blue Sea?"
"Yep…I know that place!" He rolled his eyes a little as he mentioned this, because of the fact he was thrown out of that club today.
"Anyway, to cut to the chase here big boy, I owned the club before Felix did! It was my very own LGBT bar! We had birds of all different sexualities coming together and enjoying being in this one big community! The whole world frowned upon our life choices and told all of us that it wasn't normal to be gay, bisexual, lesbian etc! So we wanted a safe community where all of us could feel like we…were equals? If that makes any sense?"
"Yeah, that is really inspiring! That was a really good idea, so what happened?" Roberto was very intrigued in knowing more about his past struggles, and what lead the green winged male to be in some secret club with Jacqueline.
"What do you think darling? Felix came into the city with his gangster thugs, he took over the entire club by force!" Martin spoke the first few words very clearly…but after he spoke he began shedding a few tears and his facial expression completely changed within seconds. "He threatened to kill some of our members if we didn't do what he said! And of course I wasn't the one to just give up and let him have whatever he wanted!"
"So how did you handle it?"
"I walked up to him and poked him on the chest and said, NO! I'm not giving up this club if my life depended on it! It was all I had? And I didn't want to give up the only thing that I enjoyed more than anything in the world! So…he pulled out his baseball bat…walked up to my boyfriend at the time…smacked him in both of his talons…"
"HUAAAAAAA!" Roberto gasped in horror and covered his beak to show how upset he was about this.
"That's not the worst part…The worst part was, after breaking both of his talons like a couple of twigs…he asked me one last time to give up the club…or he…he…would bash his brains in!" Martin immediately burst into tears at the thought of this really painful memory…and he buried his face in his wings.
"It's okay buddy…you don't have to continue!" Roberto whispered to him gently, as both Roberto and Jacqueline sat either side of him and wrapped their wings around him to comfort him during the tough experience.
"No…you deserve to know! So…I took a deep breath…and agreed to give him the bar! But my boyfriend was so upset about me giving up my dream, that he told me not to give it up! So after Felix went to shut him up, I grabbed the bat from him, smacked one of his associates over the head with it, and gave him permanent brain damage!"
"Damn, it's a shame you didn't hit Felix with the bat!"
"I know right? Jacqui said the exact same thing! Anyway, Zenon ended up pinning me down to the ground with his sharp talons digging into my back! I was completely stuck in this horrible position…but Felix found a way to make it so much worse! He smiled at me in such a horrific way…and he made me watch…as I saw him bash my beloved Douglas…until his head was like a squashed ant!"
"Oh my god…that guy is a fucking psychopath!" Roberto growled in irritation as he heard what the scarlet male did.
"Now you understand why we want Felix dead Roberto! He took Martin's club after what he did to his partner! And then he made this club to hide away from the others…little did I know that when I came back here after Felix pursued Lila, I found my new bestie here hiding away from him!" Jacqueline explained as she wrapped a wing around the green winged male macaw.
"There's just one thing that I don't understand? Surely the audience would have fought back after what Felix did to you?"
"Nope! They all fled the club in terror! Leaving nothing but me, Felix, Zenon and my beloved Dougie…splattered on the stage like a butcher's prize!" Martin wiped away the remaining tears that he had left in his eyes, and he decided that he needed some time to be on his own. "Okay guys, could you two go into the yard? I wanna be on my own for a little bit!"
"Are you sure?" Jacqueline sweetly asked her best friend, who just nodded his head slowly. "Okay…take all the time you need to bestie!"
The two blue macaws slowly got up and prepared to leave the room together…but just before Roberto reached the exit after Jacqueline…Martin quickly grabbed his wing gently. Causing the blue male to turn around and face him with a curious glance.
"Roberto…one more thing!"
"Sure buddy? What's up?"
"Just…Just make sure that your friend RDJ stays away from Lila…because if Felix catches your friend going after his girl…" He paused very briefly and patted his wingtips gently. "…you'll be soon enough attending your best friend's funeral…can you do me this favour?"
Roberto slowly turned around to face the girl that he likes, and she gave him a very worrying look, because she too wanted her best friend to find real love! Than being with the predator that was her current boyfriend.
"I will…don't you worry buddy!" Roberto humbly bowed as he let go of his wing, abs the two of them immediately left the room to go into the small yard, shutting the door so Martin could spend some quality time alone.
While We Wait For Them To Recover…Let's Briefly Check On Blu, Jewel, Zeek and Georgia…
"BETO?! RDJ?! WHERE THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU GUYS?!" Jewel called out from the very same podium that Zeek was standing on when he yelled at that female blue throated macaw. But unfortunately for them this time, as it was pretty late at night, the locals weren't exactly the kindest of souls at this time…
"HEY! WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP?! I AM TRYING TO GET SOME SLEEP!" A really annoyed parakeet screeched from one of the tree hollows, and he threw what looked like an acorn at Jewel's head in the process. Which clearly irritated the hell out of her.
"WHY DON'T YOU COME CLOSER AND SAY THAT?!" Jewel screamed in rage, and went to fly up there to confront him, but Georgia held her back. "Let me go! Let me go!"
"Will you please calm down honey? Screaming at the locals this late at night isn't going to solve anything!" Blu calmly reassured his girlfriend, massaging her shoulders to get her to relax. Which after a good few seconds she takes a deep long breath, and lowers her voice after her little outburst.
"You're right, I'm sorry honey! I'm just so worried about Beto and RDJ? Do you think they might have hooked up with those two girls from the bar?" Jewel innocently asked as she cocked her head to the side.
"I doubt it! RDJ got the absolute shit kicked out of him, just because he accidentally spilled drink on that Lila chick! But as for Jacqui, maybe Roberto is off doing her somewhere?" Zeek suggested with a straight face. But this little comment made his friends give him death stares.
"You have a dirty disgusting mind honey! You need to really talk to someone about that!" Georgia cringed in disgust, as she twisted her beak into a grossed out look.
"Okay, so we tried looking at RDJ's hollow and he wasn't there? Neither were his parents aware that he had gone missing? So they must be pretty worried sick?" Georgia suggested as she placed a wingtip on her chin to think.
"Which reminds me? Why does he still live with his parents? Didn't like…his brother and sister move out of there?" Jewel asked curiously, thinking about that strange choice.
"Yeah, but he is quite close with his parents don't forget! Anyway, we tried looking in the city but neither one of them were there? So the only thing we could really do is…"
"Hey guys…"
Suddenly, everyone quickly shot their heads around to the left, and they were all sighing heavily in relief, as they saw none other than RDJ standing there with a very relaxed smile on his beak.
"Buddy! Thank god that you are okay! We were so worried about you!" Zeek beamed as he wrapped his wings around his best friend in a tight hug. "We thought that you might have left the city or something?"
"Me? Leave the city? Oh come now Zeek?! I may have had my body all bruised and cut up! But my dignity is still intact! I just needed some time for me to be alone! That's all!" He replied quite convincingly.
He didn't want to reveal the truth to them that he actually saw Lila from the club in the park earlier. Because he wanted to avoid them asking questions to him about why he found it okay to bathe with the girlfriend of a dangerous criminal! So he just took it on the chin and stayed very calm and composed, to avoid the subject of Lila to his friends at all costs.
"So…where were you all this time? You must have been talking to somebody out here? You've been in the park for at least an hour?" Blu was the next one of his good friends to ask him a question, placing a comforting wing on his shoulder while smiling at him.
"Mmmmm nope? Just me on my own…crying! I didn't want to be seen by anybody okay? I know you guys were doing your best earlier to try and make me feel as comfortable as possible! But I didn't really feel like talking about what happened back there okay?" RDJ responded in a calm tone as he went to walk past his friends, but Jewel immediately stopped him by pulling on his wing.
"You look…awfully happy…To be talking on your own? Are you sure you didn't talk to anyone?" The blue spix's female asked curiously as she gave him a suspicious look.
"I'm sure! I think I needed a good cry, because I need to remain positive! I'll see you guys tomorrow night!" RDJ remained very calm for somebody who was keeping a secret from them. "Oh by the way, Roberto told me he was meeting up with Jacqueline at her hollow! Don't worry, he's okay!" He told another white lie to get them to go home, the. He flapped his wings once more to get away from the park, and safely back to the jungle so he could go back to his hollow.
As his four friends watched him leave, all of them but Jewel bought the little trickery that he pulled. But the blue female was adamant that something was really off about his behaviour. "Something weird is going on here…I've never seen him smile that much since the day he met me…and I remember that day pretty well!"
"Oh will you stop reading into things too much Jewel? You're going to give yourself grey feathers thinking about that!" Georgia giggled playfully and gave her a slight nudge on the shoulder.
"I'm telling you guys…I think…I think Lila must have been here?"
"What makes you think that?" Zeek asked curiously as her friends just gave her strange glances.
"Surely she must have been? Why else would he be smiling that much…plus Roberto…"
"Honey, we are all tired! We all need our sleep! If Rob is with this Jacqui girl, then we gotta leave him to it! Come on? Let's go home!" Blu beamed happily as himself and the yellow macaw couple flapped their wings and flew away back to the jungle. Still leaving a very suspicious Jewel.
"It just doesn't make sense…that's all I'm saying!" She spoke to herself in annoyance, as she rejoined her boyfriend to go back to their hollow. Completely unaware that she was right about her gut feeling.
Let's Head Back To Roberto And Jacqueline Shall We…
Roberto laid down in the back yard of this really small secluded area, with one wing wrapped around Jacqueline, as she laid her head comfortably in n his chest. She was really glad to be in his company, because it has been the very first time that she genuinely liked somebody. Roberto also felt the same way about the blue female…and he wanted to tel her what he was feeling.
"Hey ummmm Jacqui?" He spoke up softly as he rubbed her back affectionately, causing her to look up at him slightly with a seductive grin.
"Yes Rob?" She batted her eyelashes in a cute manner, and shifted her position so she was looking up at him.
"I don't want you to feel like that I am moving too forward here? But…I unmmmm…I…I really like you! Like…a lot!" Roberto stuttered a little anxiously, as his heart rate began to speed up, while his head was telling him different things.
"Really? You…You really like me?" Jacqueline responded quite surprised that the guy that she really feels comfortable around told her exactly what she wanted to hear, and it made her feel all giddy inside.
"How could I not? You're beautiful…sexy…you have THE most killer of smiles! As well as your really charming personality! And I feel completely comfortable around you! Yeah, I really like you Jacqui!" Roberto smiled at her warmly and rubbed her belly in a smooth way, making her giggle and blush with excitement.
"I…I really like you too! I do feel really comfortable around you too hehe!" She giggled again and brushed her head feathers to the side, as she finally told him how she was feeling about him…but what Roberto decided to do next? Now this, she was not expecting!
"Ummmm…will it be okay…if we could go on an actual date some time?" Roberto shook a little nervously, which was very unusual for him because he's normally fairly confident.
"Yeah, I would love that!" Jacqueline replied with a cute smile, and she went to give him a kiss on the cheek. But just before she could reach his cheek, he turned around to face her to say something…but she accidentally caught his beak instead.
As soon as she did that, both of them immediately turned away from each other and blushed uncontrollably…because neither one of them was expecting this.
"Oh…hehehe…ummmm…I was meant…I was meant to ummmm…get you on the cheek there?" Jacqui stuttered with a really anxious smile. Causing Roberto to clear his throat and regain his confidence.
"That's ummm…okay Jacqui! I…I didn't mind it? I actually…liked this kiss on the beak…hehehe!"
"Well then…ummmm…did you want to kiss again?" She asked him politely, as she too really enjoyed giving him a light kiss on the beak. And she wanted to feel a little more passion this time round.
"I think…we still need to get to know more about each outer first, you know? Just so we don't rush into anything!" The muscular blue male explained as he nervously rubbed his wingtips together.
"Ohhhh…okay…"
But once he asked this, Jacqueline looked really disappointed that he didn't want to give her a proper kiss this time round. Roberto felt bad that he left her disappointed, so he did decide to do this just for her, because he wanted things to go well with this new girl in his life.
"Okay…close your eyes!" He asked her with a warm smile, and he turned to face her with a really calm face.
"Okay!" She beamed excitedly, and closed her eyes preparing for this.
Roberto leaned in pretty slowly, and he gradually connected beaks with Jacqueline's, and the two of them kissed a little more passionately this time. But the kiss ended after a mere few seconds, with both of them smiling deeply at each other.
"Wow!" Both of them spoke simultaneously as the kiss ended, and the two of them continued to enjoy each other's company.
"Thank you…that was…a really good kiss!" Jacqueline praised the blue male, and wrapped a wing around him.
"Yeah…you're a really good kisser!" Roberto remarked with a playful nudge.
"So tell me Roberto…what do you like to do in your free time?" Jacqueline asked the first question as the two of them rested against the back fence.
"Ooooh, that is a really good question! I suppose I like to do a little bit of everything? Me and RDJ go to the same spot every morning to do an early morning workout! Then I spend the day with my friends Georgia, Zeek, Blu, Jewel and of course RDJ! We go to the beach, the Christ Redeemer Statue, we go into the city sometimes? We…spend time in our hollows playing games or having talks! But mostly I like to do a late night workout too, which of course…"
"RDJ joins you too? Yeah, I can tell! Hehehe!" The blue spix's female giggled as she placed a wing on her beak.
"Yeah…you know? He is a really good guy! I just wish that your best friend would be able to leave Felix without getting beaten! I know that my friend would look after her!"
"I'm sure he would! But it's not that simple I'm afraid…especially since Felix would most likely kill Lila if she tried to leave him!" She sadly replied as she lowered her head in defeat.
"So…why don't you just send some birds in there and kill him yourself? Surely you have enough members in this club to make it happen?"
"The only members we have are myself, Martin and Lila! But she doesn't spend enough time here to understand our feelings against him!"
"I've got an idea! Why not recruit my friends?" Roberto asked with a bright smile, and stroked Cher head feathers.
"Roberto…nobody else can know about this place! We have already lost too much to trust strangers to come in here and raise suspicions!" Jacqueline got annoyed by this idea and let go of him.
"But you just said…"
"I KNOW WHAT I SAID!" The blue spix's female blurted out in a loud tone…causing Roberto to jump in fear. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to yell at you like that…I just…Can we talk about something else?"
"Actually, I think I'm gonna go! Because my friends are probably worried sick about me…and I need to let them know that I am okay!" Roberto beamed as he slowly got up off of the floor, and started making his way over to the door where himself and Jacqueline had just entered into.
"But wait! Don't you wanna stay? And cuddle some more?" She asked sadly as she approached him to help him with the door.
"I'd love to! But I have to get back to get some sleep! But…"
"Oooh, I like that there's a but in it!" Jacqueline beamed excitedly as Roberto grasped her wing gently.
"But…I still owe you that date for saving my life! So…how about tomorrow at 2pm I come here? Just me, and only me!" He grinned seductively as he gazed into her eyes.
"Okay…tomorrow at 2pm!" She grinned back sensually, as once again the two blue macaws kissed passionately again on the beak. Savouring this beautiful moment before this evening had ended for now.
Finally…We Head Back To Felix And Lila…
"LILA?! LILA! Where the fuck is that skank now?!" Felix growled in impatience, as he laid down in his bed.
The scarlet male had his own private bedroom that was at the top of the club, and he shared this room with his girlfriend. Even though he wouldn't let her keep any of her stuff in there, because he claimed that if it's his room, it should be his stuff.
"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" He screamed one more time, as he threw a rock at a lamp, abs shattered it to pieces. Causing him to become even more annoyed about the fact that he did that.
"Sorry honey! I'm back! I'm here!" Suddenly, Lila ran into the room with a very fearful expression on her face. Not only because she was afraid of how he is reacting…but also because she knew that he would probably do something to her to make himself feel better.
"LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO! YOU MADE ME BREAK MY FAVOURITE LAMP!" Felix bellowed in rage as he strolled up to her pretty quickly. Which of course made the blue female very horrified. "WHERE WERE YOU?!"
"I was in the park! You told me to go and clear my head?" She spoke very quietly, as her wings began trembling in fear.
"THAT WAS AN HOUR AGO?! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING?! WELL DO YOU?!" Felix once again lost his temper and smacked Lila across the face really hard, sending her flying onto the bed head first.
"I'm…I'm s-s-sorry! I was…I was…" She couldn't even finish her sentence, before Felix very rudely cut her off.
"Meh meh meh! I was…I was…I was was was was boohoohoo! Stop your whining and crying babe! You are gonna stress yourself out! Now shut the fuck up and get ready!" Felix growled maliciously as he cracked his wingtips and stretched his talons.
"Ready? R-R-Ready for w-w-what?!" She cried in sadness, as she continued to clench her aching face from the blow that she had received from her abusive boyfriend.
"Well, because of you wasting my time! I have a leaf here in my wing! And now you are gonna lay there, while enjoying a bit of you and me time!"
"You know what?! I'm actually…really tired honey?! I'm not…I'm not in the mood!" Lila quickly tried to get up and move away from him. But he was too fast for her and pushed her back down, covering her beak with his wing.
"Oh…that's too bad? Because I am in the mood! And because this is my room, you will do…EXACTLY…what I want you to do!" Felix growled in irritation, and he got himself ready to pounce on his girlfriend.
"NO! PLEASE! I DON'T WANT TO!" She tried screaming to get someone to hear her pleas. But it was of no use.
"TOO LATE! You will learn to not waste my time…because like I said…I am all you got! Nobody will ever love you but me! Accept that!"
As the conversation came to a close, Lila was laying on the bed with tears rolling down her cheeks, with her abusive boyfriend still attacking her…and there was only one thing she could say in her mind as she prepared for a very traumatic experience. "RDJ…please help me!"
Oh dear god! Felix is really going overboard about what happened back in the club! Not to mention that his girlfriend is in tears while thinking about how abusive her relationship was. Martin had a really troubled past before Felix took control of his club. There was a mention of my OC Douglas who will sadly not be in this story as he was killed by Felix. Roberto and Jacqueline have already had their first of many kisses, which will also lead to their first date! Plus Jewel is already suspicious of RDJ's intentions!
