Knowing Who To Trust
We are now heading into another chapter, and the one thing I'll say about this one, is the fact that RDJ and Roberto will now head to the beach to meet up with their friends to cover the fact that RDJ is having an affair with Felix's girlfriend. We already know that Jewel had witnessed the two of them kissing, so she kind of knows already what is happening…but what will be her tactic when questioning where he has been? Will be a bit off good bird bad bird? Threatening of violence? The art of seduction? Let's find out shall we?
Just Outside The Clubhouse…
Roberto was the first one to slowly poke his head out of the sliding door…he was extremely courteous with his actions, because he didn't want to rush out too quickly to be spotted by any of the passing locals.
He carefully checked his surroundings from either side of this really dead quiet alley, and he knew that the coast was clear for his friend and new ally to quickly slip out without being spotted. But that had to be extremely stealthy.
"Okay, the coast is clear! RDJ…you step out first and make sure that you are careful!" The muscular blue male seriously whispered to him, holding the door slightly ajar at a tight angle. Big enough for him to slip out of without being noticed.
RDJ took a deep breath, and carefully slipped out of the exit, and stood up against the fence, allowing room for their new orange macaw male friend to slip out as well. "Okay now your turn Leo!" RDJ whispered to the orange macaw, gesturing with his wing as a sign for him to follow them.
He nodded his head slowly, and creeped out of the exit..before helping Roberto and RDJ put the fence back into place before they were seen doing what they were doing. Luckily…they got out of there clean and quick.
"Okay, luckily I don't think anybody saw us?" Roberto remarked, quickly running over to the far side of the alleyway, peering his head around the corner. He luckily saw that nobody was there, meaning that they were in the clear. "Alright guys, here is the plan! RDJ and I met Jacqueline in the park this morning and we had a talk the three of us! Then a gangster came out of nowhere and attacked Leo because he was frightening a poor little girl on her own! Then we told Jacqueline to go back to the club with the gangster to avoid either of us getting a beating. Then we helped Leo pop his wing back into place, and we invited him to join us! Got it?" Roberto explained his plan of action very thoroughly, sparing little to not detail whatsoever. And the two of them thought that it was well thought out.
"Got it!" Both of them agreed to the story that Roberto provided, and they got themselves ready to depart to the beach.
"Just one more thing guys…whatever you do…do not tell my parents about this either! Last thing I want is getting the two of them involved in my business!" RDJ seriously spoke to the other two males, who also agreed to not say anything to Amber or Leandro.
The three of them quickly flapped their wings and flew away from the alley. With the three of them thinking that they were completely in the clear and that they weren't seen…but…as you can imagine, they were unaware that they were being spied on…by a very very agitated blue spix's macaw female. Who we all knew very well!
"Keeping secrets now?! Ooooooohh! I am gonna get the info out of him one way or another!" The bird of course revealed to be Jewel, who obviously followed RDJ and Lila to the clubhouse, confirming that her suspicions were correct. So now she had to find a way, to get to the beach before the others do, so it makes it look like that she was there the whole time. Or…she could do something a little more curious…by asking two certain birds about the disappearance of RDJ. "Maybe Leandro or Amber might provide me some information that I am clearly missing…maybe I should talk to them…"
Now Let's Check In On Amber And Leandro Shall We?
Now we will turn our attention back to the blue and gold macaw adolescents Leandro and Amber, who have been relaxing in their tree hollow after a very quiet morning for them. They were pretty much relaxing there enjoying the view, as they saw the many locals out with their families and friends. They really loved seeing them enjoying the day.
"Ahhhh, isn't this perfect my love? No kids…No distractions…just you and me!" Leandro whispered to his beloved in the ear as he kissed her on the neck, making her giggle cutely in response.
"Yeah, this does seem perfect sweetie! But aren't you worried at all about our son? We haven't really seen much of him after yesterday morning? He came back late last night, left the hollow early, did his morning workout and he was off! Poof! Just like that!" Amber replied with a pretty worrying tone, causing her husband to chuckle.
"Oh come now my dear? RDJ is pretty much an adult now? Roberto moved out of his parents place four years ago to be more independent! Now he's okay isn't he? RDJ just needs to learn the values of being independent! Then eventually he can move out of here and move on with his life!"
"But I don't want him to just move out Leandro! I wish he could stay with us forever!" The female macaw spoke while lowering her head.
"Hey? I think if he found himself a little lady friend, he will eventually want to find a place with her, and it will all be okay! You'll see!" Leandro tried to comfort his wife, who was feeling rather emotional as any mother would about their children. But as he went to open his beak to carry on speaking…by no surprise whatsoever, Jewel landed on the tree branch just outside of their hollow and she seemed like she was heavily breathing due to being out of breath.
"H-H-H-Hi Mr and Mrs RDJ!" The blue spix's female panted and heaved, wiping away the sweat from her forehead as she took a minute to gain as much oxygen back as possible. "Is this…a bad…time?"
"Oh hey there Jewel! Please just call us by our real names? Mr and Mrs just makes us sound old!" Amber giggled again and waved her wing at her, as the two adolescents stood up to greet her into the hollow. "Please come in!"
Jewel nodded her head once to show her gratitude and she walked into the tree hollow, giving each of them a hug as they said hello to each other.
"By what do we owe the pleasure of your presence my dear?" Leandro asked the younger blue female. Who stood up straight when catching her breath back, and she tried to stay as calm as possible to avoid them being worried about their son.
"Ummm…I need to ask you a couple of questions about your son?" She started off quite slowly, and started rubbing her wing nervously as she didn't want to be a snitch on one of her closest friends.
"Oh dear god…he didn't sexually assault you did he?! I told him to get over you fucking months ago!" Amber shouted with a lot of fear, and Leandro tried to calm her down.
"Oh no no no! Don't worry about that…RDJ told me that he got over me! We are very good friends and he would never do anything that drastic or extreme to hurt me!" She explained with a very soft wing on her heart as she smiled warmly at the two parents.
"Oh thank god! So…what were you going to ask us?" Leandro was the next one to ask, as he was keen to know what she had to say.
"Has RDJ…been…a little off, lately?" She asked with a fake curious eyebrow. Purely because she was trying to find out if he had told his parents anything about his secret affair with the lover of a gangster. "You know? Barely speaking? Smiling more than normal? Keeping himself a bit distant?"
"Define, off?" Amber asked next, as the adolescent female blue and gold macaw sat on the hollow floor next to her husband, who just sat down besides her. "Why? What has happened between you two?"
"Smiling more than usual? Sneaking off early in the morning? Barely saying a word to me?"
"Hmmmm, I suppose he is a little happier than normal I guess? And he hasn't really spoken to us since yesterday? Why do you ask?"
"Nothing it's just…normally he talks to me in the morning after his workout, but he looked like he was in a hurry somewhere? Okay, thanks for your time guys!" Jewel responded a little curiously, before turning around and heading towards the exit.
"Wait a second? Why do you care so much that he's not paying attention to you? You have a boyfriend?" Leandro asked her in a tone that was a little more suspicious, as he followed her to the exit.
"It's not about that! I just think he's acting differently than he normally does!" The blue spix's female responded back, as she felt a little confused by his question.
"Oh…now I know what's going on here! You are jealous!" Amber giggled mischievously as she saw the way the young blue female was staring at them.
"Jealous?! Of what?!" Jewel felt a little insulted by this statement and crossed her wings.
"Because you enjoyed the attention of my son, even though you were already with someone! And now that he is suddenly busier than normal, and not paying any attention to you…you don't like it! Am I wrong?" Amber explained in a calm tone, as her husband sweetie wrapped a wing around her.
Jewel stood there in silence for a moment to really think about what she was saying to her. A small part of her felt like she was absolutely right about this! Yes, she is with someone and she is in a really happy and healthy relationship! But the attention that she got from RDJ always boosted her confidence, and made her feel like she was the best looking female in Rio. But even though they have no idea about the fact that their son is secretly dating someone, she is a little jealous that RDJ is now paying all of his attention to Lila instead of her…but she wouldn't dare tell them that.
"I gotta go! Thanks for the talk guys! It really…opened my eyes a little!" Jewel replied a little bluntly, before leaping into the air, and flapping her wings to find her way to the beach to meet her friends as promised.
Amber and Leandro watched her leave with smirks on their faces, because they found that her small act of jealousy was really sweet yet amusing.
"Hehehe I bet our son has found like a hyacinth or scarlet female or some other female species macaw to talk to? How else would he be so secretive about it?" Amber spoke to her husband, who nodded his head in agreement.
"I agree! But anyway, let's go to the springs in our favourite spot in the jungle! I think you and I need to relieve some stress!" Leandro chuckled mischievously, rubbing a wingtip down her chest. Causing her breathing to speed up a little bit…as she felt a little turned on.
"Let's go! The sooner we get there, the sooner we can begin!" Amber giggled as the two of them prepared to depart. "I'll race ya?!"
"Ohhh! You are on! One, Two…"
"THREE!" Amber screamed three too quickly and shot out of the tree hollow, with Leandro a little stunned by how quickly she moved.
"NO FAIR! YOU HAD A HEAD START!" Leandro called out with a laugh, as the blue and gold male too left the hollow, to try and beat his beloved wife to the springs.
Now Let's Head To The Beach…Shall We?
"Bloody hell! How long does it take Jewel to actually get ready?" Georgia was sat at the beach with her boyfriend Zeek sitting just besides her. Blu was sat the other side of her, and of course Roberto and RDJ were sat just opposite them. As the two of them arrived only moments ago. Leo was sat next to RDJ, who had just met up with them and they were talking about how the two of them met the orange macaw male.
"I don't know, but she's been pretty quiet all day? In fact…I haven't seen her since this morning?" Blu remarked as he curiously raised his eyebrow, completely fearing the worst. "So Leo? Explain to us how you met RDJ and Roberto?"
The orange male took a deep breath and managed to stay calm, as he felt a lot of nerves but managed to control them in this very awkward situation.
"Well…I was flying in the jungle on mg own? And this gangster from the club comes out of nowhere and attacks me! He was already picking on a girl who was trying to avoid him, and he thought that I was trying to save her! That's why he took me on! Then your friends Roberto and RDJ came flying in and knocked him out, saving the female and saving me! Then, they popped my wing back into place, and invited me here to meet you guys!" Leo lied to keep their secret from their friends, who all were amazed by this story.
"Wow! So you guys saved his life! Well done to you!" Zeek remarked as he gave his best friend a fist bump. "Anyway, how are you feeling after last night? I've noticed that you look a lot better than I thought you would?" The yellow macaw male referred to RDJ, as he had no idea that Lila helped him with his injuries.
"Ohhh…well…I actually went to the pond last night? And I was washing my body with pond weed! Because my dad says it's good for injuries!" He responded with a calm face. But what he wasn't ready for…was the question about how he reached a certain spot.
"How did you manage to clean the end of your tail feathers? Even I couldn't reach that far? And I'm very flexible!" Georgia was the next one to ask, as she felt quite impressed that he managed to clean the bottom of his tail.
RDJ began to sweat very nervously, as he thought that he wouldn't get out of this! But after a couple of seconds of silence, Roberto came to the rescue.
"That's where I was last night! I ran into RDJ at the pond, and he helped me clean up my face with the pond weed, so I helped him with his tail! It was a little awkward scrubbing someone's butt, but he needed my help!"
"So you were butt stroking him? Haha! Gayyyyyyy!" Blu remarked with a cheeky grin, causing the muscular blue male to narrow his eyes in annoyance.
"I'm sorry, who was the guy who pulled a stick out of Zeek's butt?" Roberto blurted out to the blue male, who widened his eyes in horror.
"WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!" Blu shouted in horror, while his friends just burst into laughter.
"Georgia told me!"
"HONEY?!" Zeek turned to his girlfriend who just giggled uncontrollably while blushing.
"Oh come on! You were convinced that if you jumped in a bush without flying it would cushion your fall! It's not my fault you landed on a stick that went right up your…"
"Okay okay I get it! Seriously though? I am surprised that Jewel hasn't arrived yet? Wasn't coming to the beach today her idea?" Blu finally cut into this conversation to avoid it becoming an argument. But before any of them could respond, his girlfriend had finally arrived just in time as she completely took everyone by surprise. "Oh, there you are honey!"
"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late! I had to deal with some gangsters back there! They kept on asking me questions about…certain things?" Jewel lied to them, and gave RDJ a questionable glance. Noticing that he started to go as pale as a white dove. "You know anything about that…RDJ?" She asked in a very quiet tone, trying to get the truth out if him.
"Hmmmmm…nope? Don't know anything except for the fact that I got kicked the crap out of last night!" RDJ quickly replied and turned to Roberto for help, who quickly just winked at him without the others seeing.
"Huh…that is umm…interesting?" Jewel started to slowly approach the blue and gold male with a very elegant stride. She now had another trick up her wing to try and make him cough up the information. "So…what have you been up to this morning?" She batted her eyesight at him in such a flirtatious way…clearly trying to use the art of seduction to make him nervous.
"Ummmm…I…Ughhh…Worked out with Roberto?" He started off quite slowly, and began to back away a little, kind of knowing that Jewel was clearly playing some mind games with him. "Then I went to get food with Roberto…and then we saved Leo!"
"Hi…" The orange macaw male nervously waved as he stood next to Blu, who was incredibly confused by his girlfriend's behaviour.
"Ughhh, Jewel? What the hell are you doing?" Blu asked in irritation, because he really didn't like the way that his girlfriend was randomly flirting with one of her best friends as well as his.
"Nothing Blu? I'm just…a little curious as to why RDJ would lie to me?" The blue spix's female answered back, smiling mischievously at the muscular males Roberto and RDJ.
"What are you…What are you talking about?" He stuttered anxiously, and he began trembling a little when the expression on his friend's face changed.
"Oh I don't know? How about the fact that I…" She paused for a very brief moment as she placed a wingtip on her chin to think. As she paced up and down in front of the two of them, then eventually when she saw the fear in their eyes, she knew she had to tell everyone the truth. "SAW YOU AND LILA KISSING IN THE PARK?!"
"WHAAAAAAT?!" Blu, Georgia and Zeek all simultaneously bellowed, covering their beaks in complete and utter surprise.
"You kissed Lila?!" Georgia instantly walked up to the muscular male, who stood there looking at her with so much nerves and anxiety.
"Kinda?" He answered nervously while twiddling his wingtips.
"DUDE?! Do you have any fucking idea what you got yourself into?!" Zeek was the next one to get involved, slapping his best friend across the face with his wing. "You are clearly asking for trouble!"
"How is me liking a girl asking for trouble? It's not my fault that Felix is an asshole!" RDJ defended himself with an annoyed glare, and he too crossed his wings.
"Save your breath Zeek, I already had the exact same conversation with him already!" Roberto very subtly remarked as he stood besides a mortified RDJ.
"As for you BETO! I'm surprised you didn't tell me! Your own best friend!" Jewel argued with Roberto now as she pointed her wingtip at him.
"Even if I did tell you, we would still be in this exact same situation! But shouting about it at the top of your lungs isn't going to solve anything!"
"Guys! The leader of the gangsters is searching the city for Lila as we speak! You just gave yourself a fucking death wish!" Blu tried to get his point across, but all that did was make him even angrier.
"She's not even here! She left Rio after she kissed me! She was giving me a kiss goodbye!" The blue and gold male lied again as he managed to keep a hold of his secret.
"Who bloody cares?! You will still be highly wanted for messing with his girlfriend?!"
"You think I don't fucking know that?! Look, I know what I'm doing!" RDJ turned away and tried to leave the beach, but Leo and Jewel stopped him from departing. "Guys? I'm not in the mood to talk about this! Please get out of my way!"
"No! We are not going anywhere until you explain yourself! Why the hell of all birds did you have to choose her?! Didn't you learn anything about what happened last night?" Jewel got right up in his face about this, and felt so irritated, that she almost felt like pecking one of his eyes out. Like he was going to let her do that anyway!
"Why do you care so much? This has got nothing to do with you!" RDJ stood tall as he too narrowed his eyes, flexing his muscles to show that she didn't intimidate him.
"I don't…I don't care?" She answered that last part very quickly, but in reality she did. She just didn't want to tell him why.
"Then why are you bothered wether I kissed another female? Is it because now my attention is elsewhere, you don't gain any extra from me?"
"N-N-No?"
"Oh my god…you are jealous?!" Blu immediately got annoyed by what Jewel was saying and he instantly crossed his wings in irritation. "Why would you be jealous if you are already with me?"
"I don't…I am…I…Oh just forget it!" The blue spix's female instantly flapped her wings abs flew away from her friends in a hurry. Leaving everyone there with really confused stares on their faces.
Blu was particularly baffled, because even though he is with Jewel at the end of it all, he can't believe that she is jealous about RDJ hooking up with Lila.
"Shouldn't someone go after her?" Leo asked curiously as he looked at his new friends with a weird stare. Feeling rather awkward about all of this.
"I'll go and talk to her! I'll get to the bottom of this!" The blue and gold male insisted, as he too leapt into the air and vigorously flapped his wings, just so he could catch up with Jewel before she was completely out of sight.
"Great…this was supposed to be a fun day out! And now Jewel, and RDJ are already in disagreement over some things! What the hell are we supposed to do now?" Zeek asked in annoyance as he stood there in annoyance.
"Don't worry about it! I'm sure RDJ will calm her down and find out why this is bothering her! As for us…let's just sit here and enjoy the beach! And if any gangsters arrive…we lie to them and tell them we don't know anything about Lila!" Georgia explained in a calm tone. Causing everyone else to nod their heads in agreement. Before lowering themselves back to the ground, and continued on talking like nothing had happened.
Now Let's Head To Jewel…
Jewel continued on her way, weaving in and out of the many large trees in the jungle as she finally made her way into the depths of the jungle of Rio. She was really annoyed at the fact she was pushed into a corner like that. Metaphorically of course!
"Why do I even care? Oh god…I just hope that I haven't ruined our friendship?" Jewel spoke to herself very unsurely, as she wasn't really comfortable about the whole situation with them.
"JEWEL! WAIT!" RDJ called out from just behind her, as he luckily managed to catch up to her, but she wasn't really in the right frame of mind to talk about what happened earlier. "CAN YOU PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND TALK TO ME?!"
"Go away RDJ! I'm not in the mood!" Jewel huffed pretty ignorantly, and landed on a tree branch to catch her breath. Only seconds before the muscular male landed just besides her, and tried to talk to her.
"What happened back there? Will you please turn around and talk to me?" The blue and gold male demanded to know what was so wrong with what he was doing. But all this did was just infuriate her, purely because she wanted to be left alone.
"RDJ…you don't understand…I don't want to talk about this!" She made her point very clear, and tried to turn away to leave, but using his strong wing, he managed to stop her. "Let go of me!"
"Not until you tell me what's bothering you so much?" RDJ explained as he spun her around and pushed her into an abandoned tree hollow. Making sure that they were in a quiet enough spot, so any of Felix's men passing by would not hear them. "Now tell me why you are bothered by this!"
The blue spix's female sighed very heavily in defeat, and lowered her head to the ground. RDJ placed a wing on her shoulder to comfort her. She very slightly gazed back up towards him, and she formed a small smile.
"I'm sorry…it's silly! But…I guess I just…enjoyed your attention?"
"My attention?"
"Yeah! Like…I know I'm with Blu and I'm very happy with him! But…I guess having your attention too…makes me feel a lot less…you know…insecure? About myself?" She shyly answered and rubbed her wingtip awkwardly.
"What?! Why would you feel insecure?" He asked her very confused, as he continued to comfort his friend.
"I don't know! I'm sorry…I guess I enjoy your attention as well as Blu's? Kind of makes me feel like I'm…one of a kind…"
"Jewel…I don't know what to say? Come on, come here!" RDJ opened his wings up and pulled her into a warm friendly hug, as she was a little surprised at first, but she eventually accepted it and hugged him back. "Listen…you…no matter who I am attracted to, will always be a one of a kind! You are one of my closest friends, and you are always going to be like a sister to me! So don't feel so insecure about yourself! Because all the attention that you need is from your living boyfriend!"
"Yeah I know…I guess I just enjoyed all the attention!"
"And it's fine! But listen…I'm about to tell you something that you cannot tell anyone else! Especially Blu, do you hear me?" He seriously spoke as he broke away from the hug.
"Ooooh, keeping a secret from others? Count me in!" She beamed excitedly, as she got ready to hear what her friend was about to tell her.
"Lila and I have started to have…an affair…"
"What the fuck…"
"I know know! But listen…I really like her! And…I have never felt this way about any girl…since Well, you! And I think if I manage to keep this a secret…then maybe things might work out with her!" RDJ quickly explained himself as he tried to convince his friend not to tell anyone about this typical conundrum that he was in.
"RDJ…this is crazy!"
"I know this is crazy! But Jewel…please! Please don't tell anyone about this! Only you, Leo and Roberto know about this! I can't afford Blu, Georgia and Zeek knowing!" RDJ pleaded as he cupped his wings together, showing a very eager yet serious face.
"Fine! But If I get kidnapped and threatened by any of those assholes, so help me god I will hunt you down…and kick your ass!" Jewel playfully winked at him as she walked towards the exit. Leaving a blue and gold male, who felt a little bit scared of her.
"Noted…" Was the only thing he could say. As he didn't exactly know what else to say about this.
Then without another second passing, the two of them took to the skies immediately. And decided to head back to the beach to where their friends were.
But what they didn't see…was the fact that a certain sparrow…was watching them with Felix just by his side.
They were waiting on a tree branch not too far away…they didn't hear anything that they were saying luckily enough…but that didn't stop the scarlet male from being suspicious.
"Hmmmmm…I wonder…should we keep an eye on them boss? Maybe he knows something about her disappearance?" The sparrow spoke to his boss, who placed a wingtip on his chin to think.
"Maybe…I want you to keep an eye on his friends for me! I've already sent Zenon to the beach to keep a watchful eye on our little friend RD-Gay! Just make sure you don't let them out of your sight…I have a feeling that Lila hasn't left Rio at all!" Felix spoke in a dark tone as he narrowed his eyes…watching his associate tail the blue female and blue and gold male…as they wait to find out…wether they have something to do with his girlfriend's disappearance!
Ohhh dear…looks like the tension is building up already! So Jewel deep down liked the attention from all of her guy friends because it stopped her from feeling self conscious about herself. RDJ now told her the truth about what is happening with himself and Lila. Amber and Leandro have no idea on what's going on! Plus everyone knows that RDJ kissed Lila…but Blu, Georgia and Zeek have no idea that they are now having an affair! But on top of that…Zenon is now following RDJ's moves, and now RDJ's friends will also be watched by the sparrow from Felix's gang! What could possibly go wrong? I guess you'll have to find out…in the next chapter!
