The Fear Of Heartbreak
Now this chapter is going to be a little different! So as far as we know, Lila and RDJ have spent the last few weeks getting closer together…even getting a little too close, eh? Eh? (Wink Wink) Anyway enough of that! In this chapter Jacqueline noticed how much fun the two of them were having together, and this will be a chapter about her. But I'm not going to spoil too much, let's get to it shall we?
Let's Start With Martin And Leo Shall We? (This Was The Day Roberto Got Captured)
Back in the clubhouse, Martin was currently running in the bar in the back yard, with Leo just by his side. However, where the orange macaw was waiting for the green winged male to prepare his drink, he noticed that Martin was too busy staring at a…different view.
"Martin…MARTIN! You're pouring lime juice all over the counter!" The orange macaw male whined, shaking the sticky citrus juice off of his wings.
"Oops! Sorry darling! I'm just…staring at that…hunk of a bird!" Martin paused as he turned to face the blue and gold male, who was currently doing push ups in the centre of the yard. With Lila sitting on his back, because he requested her to do so. "How is he still doing that?"
"I have no idea? But he is super strong! Plus…I think it's kinda cute how Lila is sitting on his back while he attempts to do push ups! Gosh…those two are clearly in love!" Leo remarked in a mild sigh, as he was clearly so happy for his friends.
"Yeah…just wish I had man who's pecks look bigger than my head!" Martin remarked cheekily. As he continued to stare at the muscular blue and gold male who continued to work out with Lila urging him on while sitting on his back. "Or I'd like him to do press ups on my…"
"Can you really stop that please?! You have a serious problem!"
"Problem? What are you talking about?"
"The constant need to flirt with everyone!"
"Why? Awww…are you jealous that I haven't flirted with you, you sexy tangerine?" Martin batted his eyelashes and licked his beak.
"Ughhh…why couldn't I just find a lady and settle down?!" Leo groaned while rolling his eyes in irritation.
Jacqueline walked out of the front of the clubhouse with a very worried look on her face, and she kept looking over her shoulder every few seconds to see if a certain someone had shown up yet.
"Hey guys? Have you two seen Roberto? He was supposed to meet me here about fifteen minutes ago? But he never showed up! Do you think…he…he stood me up?" Jacqueline stuttered in fear, as she looked like she was about to rip the head feathers out of her scalp. "Oh god…WHAT IF HE STOOD ME UP?!"
"Woah! Relax there bestie! Why are you so worked up about this? You've only known him a couple of weeks?" Martin walked around to the front of the bar and tried to calm her down by rubbing her shoulders.
"Martin, look at those two!" Jacqueline spoke with emphasis as she pointed her wingtip at RDJ and Lila. "Look how happy RDJ makes my best friend!"
Lila was now trying to do some push ups on the ground, but she couldn't stop laughing. Only because the blue and gold male was trying to put her off by laying down in front of her, with his face underneath hers pulling funny faces.
"RDJ! Stop it! You're making me laugh too much! Hehehe!" Lila giggled from afar, as he just kept winking and pulling funny expressions.
"Then stop being so damn gorgeous!" RDJ replied with a cheeky grin, and tickled her wings. Making her fall down on the grass laughing, as he continued to tickle her.
"I just think it's unfair! How comes he gets to stay here with her? And I have to keep waiting for Roberto to come here every day?" Jacqueline whined in annoyance while leaning on the bar in defeat.
"Maybe it's because they didn't want to increase suspicion? You gotta admit Jacqui, they are much safer here hidden together! Than be out there as a couple! Felix would surely kill them both!" Leo pointed out as he gave her a hug to calm her down. "Listen Jacqueline, I'm sure Roberto had a good reason for why he decided not to turn up!"
"Possibly…but I still think it's a good idea that I go out and look for him! Luckily he doesn't suspect me!"
"Great! Maybe I could go with you! Felix saw me twice this week and didn't even try to attack me!"
"What?! Where did he see you?" Jacqueline asked him in a surprised manner, as she placed a wing on her hip.
"Only at the beach? He was there looking for a young couple that knew some guy named Leandro? And some girl named Amber?"
"YOU IDIOT! THEY ARE…" Jacqueline immediately covered her beak, turned around to see that RDJ was now doing sit ups while Lila was holding his talons. Knowing that they clearly didn't hear what she said. "They are RDJ's parents! You clearly heard that he was looking for Blu and Jewel!"
"Oh fuck! What do we do?"
Jacqueline placed a wingtip on her chin to think, and she took her time to really plan out the perfect move. She noticed that Lila was now doing sit ups with RDJ holding her talons. But it did make her giggle when every time she pulled herself back up he kissed her on the nose lovingly.
"Okay, here's the plan! Martin, I want you to stay here and keep those two distracted! Leo, I want you to come with me to find out why Felix was looking for Leandro and Amber! If we can slip out when they aren't looking, we can also find out if Roberto was also taken in the process! Because I doubt that he would…bail on me?" Jacqueline spoke sadly and placed a wing on her chest. As she felt a wave of anxiety hit her chest.
"Babes! Seriously! You gotts to chill! I'll keep my eye on that hot muscular piece of ass!" Martin beamed as he saluted her friend, who only looked up and gave him a really blank stare. Making him blush in embarrassment. "And…And Lila too!"
"Good, I'm glad you got your priorities straight!" Jacqueline remarked in a sarcastic tone, and turned towards Leo. "Okay, let's slip away now while Martin basically makes RDJ and Lila's affair as romantic as possible! Let's go!"
"Agreed!" The orange male replied with a determined expression, and turned around to the exit and ran out of the door. Followed by Jacqueline who ran close behind.
Martin turned around to face the romance between his friends, and he clapped his wings together in excitement. "I'm gonna give those two an experience that they will never forget!"
Let's Quickly Check In On Roberto…(Who got caught and thrown into Felix and Lila's bedroom)
"HEY! HEY! HEY! Easy on the head feath…WOOOOOAHHHH!" Roberto was being dragged into the room by a couple of harpy eagles. And he got thrown into the wall, and he landed flat on his face. "OWWWW! MY BEAK!"
"Now stay in there and shut the fuck up!" The harpy eagle shouted in annoyance, before himself and his associate left the room, slamming the door shut.
"Damnit! Why did they do that to me?!" Roberto groaned in pain, as he rubbed the front up his beak.
"Beto? Is that…Is that you in there?" A soft voice was heard from the closet just behind the blue male, and he quickly turned around to face the closet.
"What the…Georgie? Is that really you?"
"GEORGIE?!" Suddenly, Zeek kicked the closet door open and jumped out with a really enraged look, crossing his wings in the process. "Don't you DARE give my girlfriend a cute nickname!"
"Come on honey? I called him by his cute nickname?" Georgia replied as she too left the closet and brushed back her head feathers.
"But he just…"
"ENOUGH! What the fuck are you guys doing here?" Roberto blurted out randomly as he placed his wings back down to his sides.
"We don't know! One minute we were outside RDJ's hollow looking for him? Then the next thing we wake up in the closet!" Zeek explained as he was rather confused by all of this. "We got too scared to leave in case they were on the outside! But then we found some food stored in there! We luckily managed to get through the last few days…but I am SERIOUSLY freaking out!"
"Honey! Please calm down!" Georgia shook her boyfriend a couple of times by the shoulders to try and relax him.
"Alright! Alright…I'm calm! Thank you sweetie."
"You're welcome! So, how did you get here Roberto?"
"So the weirdest thing happened…I was flying on my way to meet Jacqueline, and then all of a sudden, this huge rock comes flying at me! Knocks me into a wall! I was a little dizzy! Then I got thrown in what I can only assume is Felix's bedroom that he shares with Lila!" Roberto groaned in pain and rubbed his sore nose. "Damn, they damaged the goods!"
"For fuck sake! Why are we even here? What did we do to them?" Georgia asked, shaking from the fear that was running through her body.
"RDJ! He stole Felix's girlfriend and now we are paying the price! Stupid prick! I told him that going after Lila was trouble!" The blue male groaned as he leaned up against the wall.
"You are kidding right?! He is having an affair with Lila?! That's gonna get him killed!" Zeek blurted out, banging his fist against the podium of the bed.
"I know, but there is nothing we can do about it! He is clearly in love with her! So we can't really tell him not to pursue this? Because the heart wants what the heart wants!" Georgia remarked with a warm smile, as she sighed in relaxation. "Gosh I'm so happy for him!"
"What the fuck are you talking about?! We are now trapped in a bedroom, with hardly any food! No water! Now we are possibly going to be gang raped or killed! RDJ is the reason we are in this mess!"
"Baby! He's your best friend! Aren't you at least a little bit excited for him? When is he ever going to fall in love again? Next year? Three years? Never?!"
"But…I…But he…"
"Come on Zeek? Can you at least be happy for him? For me?" The yellow female batted her eyelashes and seductively grinned at him.
Zeek sighed heavily in defeat, and softened his expression and tilted his head to the side. "How could I say no to that gorgeous face! I'm so glad we were locked in this room…I want you to use that hot wet beak of yours to…"
"Oh I really can't listen to this!" Roberto angrily cut them off and stormed over to the locked door, before bashing his fist on the wall. "HEY! FUCK FACE!"
After a few seconds had passed, the jiggling of a lock was heard and the door slowly opened, revealing a clearly annoyed muscular scarlet macaw. As he leaned against the podium with a cold death glare.
"Did you just call me…fuck face?" Felix spoke with a really mild abs irritated tone. Standing there with two of his henchmen standing behind him.
"You're damn right I called you fuck face! How could you throw us in here?! We are not the ones who played you?!"
"Yes? But, your best friend however stole something from me!" Felix remarked in a rude tone, narrowing his eyes at the muscular blue male.
"Some-thing? Don't you mean some-one?" Georgia spoke in an irritated tone as she crossed her wings.
"Whatever! Look, I will let you guys go when I get what I want! I heard what you said from the other side of the door!" Felix remarked with a serious frown, crossing his wings in annoyance.
"Oh…you…you heard th-th-that?" Roberto stuttered, rubbing his wing anxiously.
"Ohhh yeah! Now that I know RDJ is having an affair with my Lila, not only am I going to beat her senseless when she gets back here! But I will also break every single fucking bone in your friends body! So I'd sit there comfortably if I were you! Because I'm going on a little trip! And I am sure…that I know where he will be! Hahahahaha!" The scarlet male slammed the door shut and locked the door afterwards, causing Roberto to kick the foot of the door irritably.
"You bastards! You touch my friends you will regret it! Ahhhh!" He punched the door really hard and grunted with a strong frown.
"Oh shit…this is definitely not good! What are we gonna do?" Georgia asked in fear, as Zeek comforted her.
"Don't worry guys! My friend Jacqueline is on the outside with Leo, and I'm pretty sure that they will figure out a way on how they can get us out of this! I just hope that they don't find Blu, Jewel, Amber or Leandro either…"
Let's Go Back To Jacqueline And Leo…
The day was dragging late into the afternoon, and the city of Rio is now full off life and beauty. Many of the people of Rio were mainly at the beach to enjoy the heatwave that had filled the atmosphere with its powerful rays of sunshine.
The birds however were mostly either relaxing in the shade, swimming in the local streams in the jungle, or others were flying around in the air to feel the air beneath their wings.
As for Jacqueline and Leo, they were currently standing outside RDJ's hollow. Well, his old hollow anyway! Because they wanted to know wether they saw Roberto or not.
"Sorry my dear, I haven't seen Roberto for a few days now! Are you his girlfriend?" Leandro asked the young blue female, as he gave her a warm smile.
"Yes, and I haven't seen him today! Which is very unlike him!" Jacqueline remarked while crossing her wings.
"That's a shame! By the way, have you ever met our son before? Quite tell? Muscular? Blue eyes? Rick hard buttocks?" Amber tried describing her son to the two young birds, but all it did was make them very uncomfortable with the details.
"I believe so? He was there at the club when he got beaten by the clubs security!" Leo spoke very calmly. But as soon as he said this, RDJ's parents gave them looks of horror.
"WJAAAAAAT?!" Both of them screamed simultaneously, grasping each other's wings in the process as they felt completely mortified.
"Yeah? Didn't he tell you?" Jacqueline asked with a pondering look, tilting her head to the side in confusion.
"No! We knew that something had happened a couple of days before we kicked him out! Oh god Leandro! What did we do?!" Amber remarked in fear, as she placed her face in her wings. But all she got in return was a smirk from her husband. Which clearly showed that he was amused.
"What YOU did honey! Remember? I was confused as to why you kicked him out?" He emphasised the word you, abs placed a wing on her shoulder in comfort. But all this earned him was a slap on his shoulder.
"Focus honey! We have to find our son! And we must try to bring him home before it is too late!" The elderly blue and gold macaw female flapped her wings and shot out of the hollow, causing all three of the remaining birds to look at each other with weird glances.
"What was that about?" Leo spoke up, noticing that she may have been overdoing it a little bit.
"Oh that's just my wife! She cares a great deal about our son! I mean, so do I! But she worries more about these things!"
"LEANDRO!" Amber screamed at the top of her lungs in annoyance, while she was hovering in mid air. "ARE YOU COMING OR WHAT?!"
"Haaaaaa!" Leandro sighed heavily in defeat and patted both Jacqueline and Leo on their backs. "Sorry guys, duty calls! I hope you guys find Roberto! His parents keep asking me why he hasn't gone to visit them recently!"
The older blue and gold macaw male flapped his wings and flew out of the hollow to help his wife in finding their son. Leaving Leo and Jacqueline very disappointed, considering that they couldn't find Roberto anywhere.
"This is so bad! Do you think that he is avoiding me? Did I do something wrong in some way? Could I have been better and more affectionate to him? What did I do?!" Jacqueline panicked and buried her face in her soft blue wings.
The orange male was rather surprised by his friend feeling like this, because he knew that Roberto, however little time he knew him, knows that he wouldn't just ditch her! So he put a determined smile on his face and rubbed her back in comfort.
"Come on Jacqui? Let's not give up now! I'm sure we will find him! We just haven't really looked in the right places!" Leo continued to rub her back, as she turned to face him with a hopeful grin.
"You really think so?"
"I laid so! Now turn that frown upside down and let's go and find Roberto!"
Let's Go Back To Felix Now…(4 days later)
"For fuck sake! Are you seriously telling me that RDJ has not been seen in public all week?" Felix was pointing his wingtip at a scared canary on a branch, who was sitting next to a female blue throated macaw.
"Look, we only passed the guy once in the park when he was sitting with his friends? We don't really know where he could be!" The female spoke as the canary hid behind her.
"Ughhh fine! You may go!" Felix spoke as he waved his wing at the two of them, who immediately zoomed off and flew away from the scarlet male who just stomped his talon on the floor. While his associate who's the sparrow just cocked his head sideways.
"What are at gonna do now boss?" The sparrow groaned, banging his head up against the bark of the tree.
"Would you relax? I already know what I need to do! Can you make sure that RDJ's friends are all In captivity? And I will take care of everything else!"
"Fine! But in five days time, we will have everyone trapped and ready for the big reveal! But I have to ask? Why are we taking them every couple of days?"
"It's easier to trap them one couple at a time! If we tried all at once they would easily fight back! But now…we can finally move onto the final phase of my plan!" Felix growled, and rubbed his wings together maliciously.
"Oh yeah! Didn't you say you have a plan for RDJ and Lila?"
"Yes…just go back to the club and keep the others from leaving the room! As far as we know, Blu and Jewel are now in the room with Roberto and the yellow couple! All we need now are RDJ's parents and we are almost ready to…negotiate!"
Let's Go To The Room Now…Just After Blu And Jewel's Got Trapped…
Our favourite blue spix's macaw couple were roughly shoved into the room by Derick and another large cockatoo that was known as Alfonso. And afterwards they immediately slammed the door shut, preventing their escape from the room.
"You'll never get away with this! When I get outta here, I'm gonna rip your fucking eyeballs out and shove them down your throat!" Jewel screeched in irritation, punching the wall with a very tight fist. "DAMNIT! DAMNIT!"
"Ju-Ju? Blu? Is that you guys out there?" A voice was heard from the other side of the room, which clearly came from Roberto's beak.
"Beto?! What the hell?! Where the fucking hell have you been?" Jewel instantly recognised her best friends voice and immediately flew over to him, giving him a friendly hug.
"I have been seeing Jacqueline in my spare time? As well as keeping an eye on RDJ and Lila!" Roberto explained in a serious tone, giving Blu a fist bump as he too came over to greet him.
"I'm glad that you are okay buddy! It's been a really confusing week without all of us hanging out together! What was RDJ thinking! I can't believe he would have an affair with…HER!" Jewel blurted out while crossing her wings, as she growled a little in irritation.
Blu gave her a really annoyed look and confronted her about this. Because he had a sudden feeling that his girlfriend was jealous that he was dating someone else. "Why do you care who he's dating or isn't dating? You are already in a happy relationship?"
"I already had this conversation with him! I liked the attention okay? But it is not about that anymore! It's about the fact that he got all of us in this mess in the first place! Now there is a chance that we could all die!"
"Ju-Ju, I've seen how happy that he was with her! I'm pretty sure that he has fallen in love with Lila! But he hasn't said those words yet!" Roberto responded as he placed a wing on her shoulder.
"What does it matter? He had the choice of so many women who wanted to be with him and he chose the girlfriend of a dangerous gangster! There is no chance in hell that we are getting out of this one…"
Suddenly, the door to the room slowly peered open, and a certain scarlet macaw male walked in with five of his associates, including his right wing bird who was now the sparrow.
"Greetings locals of Rio! How are we all settling in?" Felix spoke mockingly, as Blu, Jewel, Roberto, Georgia and Zeek took a couple of steps backwards in fear. "Ahhh, you guys are the nervous type? Don't worry, your stay at the blue sea won't take much longer!"
"You rainbow bastard! How much longer do you expect us to be kept here?! We didn't do anything to hurt you or anyone!" Roberto remarked with an annoyed growl, causing Felix and his men to chuckle.
"Oh come now Roberto! I don't plan to keep you here forever! Well…at least…not all of you!" The muscular scarlet macaw male chuckled mischievously while licking his beak. As he sensually grinned at Jewel, who only began shaking in rage.
"HEY! STAY AWAY FROM MY BEST FRIEND'S GIRLFRIEND!" Roberto stood in front of Jewel, defending his best friends. As Felix continued to chuckle while waving his wingtip at him. Well, when I say waving I mean wagging maliciously.
"Ah ah ah ah! You, RDJ and possibly another guy you know, killed one of my best men! My best friend! Someone who was like a brother to me! Zenon was murdered in the hot springs the day Lila went missing! And now…I believe I have deserved some…compensation! If you guys…catch my drift?" Felix chuckled as he looked at Jewel up and down, causing many of them to shake in rage.
"Don't you have a girlfriend already? Wouldn't it make you a complete asshole if you cheated on Lila?" Georgia spoke up, even though she was feeling completely terrified at this point.
"Oh, that? I've cheated on Lila so many times now, I've probably made over sixty females pregnant in the last year and a half?"
"YOU ARE A FUCKING PSYCHO! HOW CAN YOU BE MAD AT LILA FOR CHEATING ON YOU, WHEN YOU'VE CHEATED MULTIPLE TIMES?!"
"Because Georgia, when I was horny or feeling the need to get physical. Lila always replied 'I'm not in the mood' so this was a way of satisfying my needs as a male!" Felix chuckled maliciously, before taking a good look around the room at the prisoners he had already captured. Knowing that he still had a couple more left to go. "Now…all that remains are the parents! And…oh…don't even worry about telling me where they live guys! I already have the location from my spies! Not long to go now guys! Once I have my Lila back, all of you are free to go! So just sit tight and enjoy yourselves…not too much though! Hahahaha!"
Felix slammed the door shut once again and locked the door, leaving our friends inside feeling extremely enraged.
"This is all RDJ's fault! Why can't they just let us go now! Then we bring RDJ here so he can be the one trapped instead of us?!" Blu remarked in a really irritated way, as he kicked a pillow at the wall.
"So you would sell out your own friend to the head of gangsters to save your own life? That's cheap Blu!" Zeek spoke in annoyance, rolling his eyes while turning away from him.
"What do you expect? It's his fault we are in this mess!"
"We know already! You don't have to keep repeating yourself every five seconds!" Jewel angrily replied as she slapped him on the back of his head.
"So what are we supposed to do then huh? Just wait around until we see RDJ turning himself in? You know that won't happen!" Blu continued to stress out, and waved his wings frantically.
"Relax guys!" Roberto put his wings up as he faced the whole room with a calm expression on his face. "My friend Jacqueline is out there with Leo, Martin, RDJ and Lila! I am sure that right now they have noticed that we have gone missing and they will be searching for us!"
"What makes you so sure that they are?" Zeek asked as he too continued stressing like everyone else.
"Just trust me…I'm sure they are looking for us as we speak…"
More Like Five Days Later…(At this point Amber and Leandro have been taken by Felix's men)
Jacqueline was on the verge of discovering some very important information. She was only getting closer and closer to her goal of finding Roberto. Because many of the locals around her told them that he was being carried off by a large bird who shot him with a slingshot in mid air.
"Well, the only other thing I can remember is this huge guy spits on his head and dragged him away! Sorry little lady, I can't help you!" An elderly hyacinth macaw sadly spoke as he nodded his head, before flapping his wings and flying away from a saddened Jacqueline.
"This sucks! How long will it take until we find him! I miss him!" Jacqueline was so anxious about the fact that Roberto has gone missing.
"Okay, so we tried RDJ's parents, the city, the jungle, we spoke to the locals and we double checked on the club before awkwardly leaving after hearing Lila screaming in what I assumed was an org…"
"I really don't want you to finish that sentence Leo!" Jacqueline covered his beak with her wing and narrowed her eyes at him. "She's my best friend!"
"Sorry! I just think we are wasting our time! Shouldn't we just go back to the clubhouse and wait for him to return? Maybe Roberto got injured and he is too embarrassed to show you what happened?"
"Well if that's the case then he has got nothing to be embarrassed about? Do you have any idea on where he could be?" Jacqueline asked as she started panting and heaving as the nerves were building up inside of her.
"Why are you so worked up on this guy? You barely even know him!"
"I know him well enough! Leo…" Jacqueline grabbed both of the orange male's shoulders and squeezed them tightly. "We have to find out where Roberto is! Have any ideas?"
"Okay! Okay! Well…first things first! Maybe we should follow Felix and find out what is going on!"
"And how exactly are we going to do that if we don't know where he is?"
"He is flying in our direction…"
"WHAAAAT?!" Jacqueline instantly grabbed Leo and threw him into a bush head first, and she dived in afterwards. Luckily getting out of Felix's eyesight and away from the public eye.
The scarlet male finally stopped off at a certain spot in the jungle. He briefly checked over his shoulder to see if anyone was following him, luckily he didn't manage to see Jacqueline or Leo. He quickly turned to his right and noticed that a certain vulture was standing there having a conversation with him.
"Sir, we've found the parents hollow! It's located on the far side of the jungle, and…it's RDJ's old hollow as well!" The vulture spoke while nodding his head at him.
"Good! Remember the plan, I only intend to take Lila away from him! He is not to be touched! If he refuses to give her up, then we kill him!"
"Good idea! We already kidnapped all of his friends including that blue muscular guy?"
"BETO?!" Jacqueline growled as she was being held back by Leo.
"Excellent! We are inches closer to finding my whore of a girlfriend!"
"Now we better split up! Before any of the locals start asking questions!"
"Agreed! Good work!" Felix patted him on the shoulder and flapped his wings, followed by his associate who flew off in a separate direction.
Jacqueline instantly left the bush in a really worried manner, followed by an annoyed Leo who was rubbing his neck in pain after being pushed into the bush.
"This is terrible! We have to go to the club and save Roberto!" Jacqueline beamed as she went to follow the vulture, but the orange macaw male instantly pulled her back by the wing. "What is it?!"
"What about RDJ and Lila? They might need some backup?" Leo replied as she tilted her head to the side.
"Great idea! You stay with those two and I'll go the club!" Jacqueline immediately flapped her wings and shot off away from the area, leaving a very confused Leo.
"Wait! Jacqueline?! Ughhh…why am I always stuck with the crazy ones?"
Now I know this chapter wasn't the most exciting one, but it was a very important one! We all now know that Felix will now be waiting for his victims in a certain location that will be revealed in the next chapter! But…there will be a major plot twist! I'll see you all soon for the next chapter!
