I Don't Want To Hurt You
Not the usual kind of title I would use in a chapter, I know! But what do you make of it? Things are about to get a little more intense in this chapter as things start to heat up. RDJ and Lila are now on their way to RDJ's old hollow to find his parents to round everyone up to say goodbye to them before their trip away. Little do they know that their friends have actually been captured and a certain someone is waiting for them in the hollow…want to know who it is? Let's get right to it…(Warning…you may need a box of tissues at the ready)
One Hour After Leaving The Clubhouse…
Our most beautiful…and miraculous moments in our lifetime. Always revolve around the treasured moments that we won't ever want to forget!
The day you first witness your children being born into the world?
The day you get married to the man or woman you love?
Or even the very first day that you cried for the very first time!
But what captivated our favourite blue and gold macaw's memory…was the moment that he experienced only a mere hour or so ago! The day that he fell in love for the very first time. And he never thought that he would ever get over the loss of Jewel. He even said to himself many many times, that he could never love anyone else! But that all changed from the moment he first walked into that club.
As for Lila herself, she was brought up very different to many of the locals around them. She suffered a lot of pain and heartbreak in the last decade or so. Her parents abandoning her at a very young age. Having to survive and fight for food in the city, as they had a problem with the jungle after her parents left. She got into a very abusive and horrific relationship with a bird who she barely even calls boyfriend anymore. But…the day that she saw RDJ defending her in the club after Felix had slapped her. That was the moment in her life that she felt like someone did care about her.
They were very excited for this brand new chapter in their lives, as they embarked on a new page of their love story. By travelling to RDJ's old hollow in the jungle to round up his friends so he can tell them what is happening, as well as saying goodbye.
The whole way there, Lila couldn't stop smiling at his face, as he too had a difficult time not stopping to smile. Both of them clearly had so much love in their hearts for each other, they just haven't plucked up the courage to say so.
"So…Lila…what is the plan on where we will go?" RDJ was the first one to speak as he gently brushed past her in midair causing her to giggle in amusement.
"I was thinking…somewhere outside of Rio? Like…Mexico? Argentina? One or the other really? I haven't really thought this through?" Lila replied with a thoughtful face, as they gracefully flew alongside each other in the warm fresh air.
"I don't care where we go! Just as long as you are by my side, I would go to the end of the world and back with you!" RDJ beamed as he winked at the blue female, who giggled and blushed.
"Really? I would go to the moon and stars and back with you!" Lila cooed as she puckered her beak, signalling little kisses towards him.
"Awwww! Aren't we perfect for each other?"
"Of course we are silly! Something bout you, makes me feel like a dangerous woman!" She giggled cutely and nudged him playfully in mid air, causing him to feel really giddy.
"Ahhh, quoting the song you sang when we first met? Well in that case! Falling in love with a woman like you, happened so quickly there's nothing to do!" He chuckled playfully before seductively smiling at her.
"Awwww! You're quoting the song that we sang together for the very first time?! You are so adorable! Hehehe!" Lila blushed bad they finally edged closer to their destination.
"If I'm adorable, then you are such a cutie!" RDJ cooed in a charming tone, giving her a cheeky wink.
"I can't wait for us to land and share another one of our beautiful kisses hehe!" Lila giggle more as the marks on her cheeks turned her face almost bright red like a scarlet macaw.
"Well then, we better fly a little faster so we can get right on that! Hehe!" RDJ beamed as the two of them laughed together when approaching the hollow.
Now…How About We Check On A Scarlet Macaw…
"Perfect! They are heading right for me! Okay, just stay in the shadows and wait until Lila is alone! There is no way in hell that RDJ will allow Lila to be the one to 'find' his missing friends! Hahahaha!" A dark sadistic voice spoke inside a certain hollow…but not just any old hollow…RDJ's old tree hollow.
This specific bird has been waiting here for RDJ and Lila to show up…but why did he only want Lila alone?
Back To The Lovebirds…
The atmosphere in the air had been very quiet with every passing second that whizzed by. The reasons for this were completely unknown to the blue female it blue and gold male. But we all know the cause of the scene acting like a complete ghost town.
"Huh…that's odd?" RDJ thought to himself as he took a good look around the area where he grew up. As the two of them gracefully landed on a tree branch, with Lila grasping his wing lovingly.
"What's the matter? Is this the right part of the jungle?" She cooed softly, trying to find out the thoughts that were going through his mind.
"It's a lot quieter than I remember? Maybe someone got beaten out here because they didn't know where I was or something? You don't think it could have been my parents do you?" He was so scared of the thought of losing his parents. Even though they had a huge fight the day that he got kicked out of the hollow.
"No! No no no! I can't imagine that they are the reason it's quiet around here!" She wrapped a wing around him as she laid her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, you're probably right!" The blue and gold macaw male beamed as he turned to the girl besides him, and narrowed his eyes playfully as he brushed a wing up against her chest. "Now…what was it you said in mid air?"
Lila blushed uncontrollably and started giggling, as she grabbed his wing and massaged her chest with his wing as she heaved in and out. "I said I can't wait to land and share one of our beautiful kisses! Hehehe!"
"Well why are we just standing here then?" He asked flirtatiously, as he lowered his other wing to her lower back. Causing her breathing to rapidly increase.
"Let's not wait anymore! Mmmmm!" She leaned in and passionately kissed him on the beak. As the their tongues swirled around in each other's beaks as they savoured this beautiful moment.
Lila wrapped a talon around his thigh, as he pulled it up a little higher. Then he softly pinned her up against the tree they were standing on. As their kiss was becoming a lot more heated and passionate.
Meanwhile…
"Fucking hell you two?! I don't want to keep waiting until you are both worn out! Get a room already!" The male voice growled as he started to become very impatient.
Back To The Others…
Suddenly, both of them retreated from the kiss, and began panting heavily to gain some much needed oxygen. As they felt all light headed and giddy with excitement.
"Ohhhh wow!" Lila whispered in excitement, as she felt her heart race beating very rapidly in giddiness.
"Mmmm, tastes like strawberries!" RDJ softly murmured, as he nuzzled his beak on her cheek. Making her smile at him with so much love. But before Lila had the chance to respond to him, he instantly remembered why they were there. "Oh crap! I almost forgot! I better go and fetch my friends while you wait in my old hollow!"
"Oh yeah! Which one was that again?" She asked cutely, as she still had that same loving smile on her beak.
"It's just that big one there! You go there and you stay right there! I'll bring everyone here and let them know what we have decided to do!" RDJ spoke with so much love, as he once again kissed her on the beak.
"Sounds like a plan! You better hurry though! Felix could be searching for us anywhere!" Lila responded nervously as her new lover was about to depart.
"Don't worry! Just stay in the hollow and stay low! I'll be back in five minutes!" He replied as he gave her one last hug, which she happily accepted. Then he instantly flapped his wings and leapt into the air. On his way to find his friends, letting them know that he had decided to leave Rio with Lila as his new companion.
If only they knew what was about to happen.
As Lila watched the blue and gold macaw male depart…she sighed heavily in disappointment, that he had already left her alone. And she was so anxious to have him back by her side as soon as possible!
She turned in the direction that RDJ told her to face in, and she too flew off of the branch to make her way over to the tree hollow that he used to live in. Having no idea on what was about to occur, as someone was in there lurking in the shadows.
The blue spix's macaw female landed just inside of the hollow and immediately sat down at the front entrance. Both her talons dangled over the edge as she anxiously waited for her lover to return. "Come on sweet beak! Don't be gone too long! I can't wait to be taken into your wings again!"
"Funny? I was about to say the exact same thing to you…my love…hahahaha!" A voice cackled from behind her in the shadows, which sent a huge shock wave running down her spine.
"HUAAAAAAA!" Lila instantly jumped at the sound of that voice…knowing exactly who that voice belonged to. And she quickly spun around with her wings covering her beak, as she began shaking in horror. "Ohhh…hehe…h-h-hi there Felix?! I ummm…I…said I'd be back soon?" Lila trembled in fear as she stood at the entrance of the tree hollow. As she had no idea on wether to instantly run away, knowing that he has the strength to catch her. Or wether to stay there in order to keep her promise to RDJ. Either way, her choices were limited.
Felix narrowed his eyes at his so called…'Girlfriend'…whilst emerging from the shadows of the hollow, with both of his wings tied behind his back.
He walked up to her very slowly, seeing that she had frozen in fear from his presence. Giving him the perfect opportunity to circle her, very mockingly as he interrogated her.
"That you did…That…You…DID!" He spat the last word rudely as he peered over her shoulder to get a good look at her eye. "Your eye is healing nicely! How did you do that?"
"I ummm…used a little…pond weed!" Lila had no idea on how to respond to his question. So she just said the first thing that popped into her head.
"Pond weed? Interesting…who taught you how to use that?" He asked another question, as he immediately ended up behind her at the hollow entrance. To prevent her from escaping him.
"Some…guy?" She answered quite nervously as she knew where this conversation was going.
"Oh? Some guy eh? Don't you mean…Some…R…D…J?!" Felix screeched as he instantly grabbed her by the neck and threw her into the wall, making her crash really hard. Bashing her beak from the impact, before landing flat on her face. "STOP TELLING ME LIES!"
"I'm n-n-not lying!" She cried in fear, rubbing her sore cheek while attempting to stand up.
"LIAR!" He ran up to her and went to jump on her back, but Lila quickly remembered something that RDJ taught her.
She stuck her talon out, and Felix instantly tripped over her. Landing face first on the hollow floor. "You fucking whore!"
As she tried to make an escape, he immediately got up and tackled her to the ground successfully, even though she tried to wiggle herself free from his strong grip. "AHHHHHmmmmmmm!"
"Okay! Okay stop squirming! Do you want me to kill him?!" Felix blurted out as he managed to get a good grip on her. "I will slit his throat in front of you if you carry on squirming!"
As soon as Lila heard Felix say the words 'Kill Him' she instantly stopped squirming. And she lifted her wings up to stop fighting his strength.
"Good…now…can we have an adult conversation? Without anyone trying to escape?" The scarlet male asked in a mocking tone as he viciously smiled at her. As he leaned down and licked the side of her face. Making her quiver in fear and nostalgia.
"Y-Y-Yes…" was the only thing she could say, starting to feel the grip that Felix had on her start to loosen.
"Good…I'm going to let go of you now! And unless you do everything that I tell you…I am going to hurt him…really…REALLY…BADLY!"
"Okay! Okay! I'm listening!" Lila sadly replied, as tears started emerging from her eyes…streaming down her face like a water fountain.
"Good…"
Felix slowly let go of his girlfriend…and stood up on his talons. Before extending his wing to pull her up.
The blue female slapped his wing away, standing up herself. As she brushed the dust off of her feathers. Using her wing to dry away her continuous tears. "What…do, you want?" Lila stuttered in fear, as she rubbed her eyes sadly.
"You know what I want my sweet! I want YOU back at the club!" The scarlet male angrily growled as he narrowed his eyes at her.
"I don't want to be your girlfriend anymore! You have treated me really badly!" She stood up for herself, and gained some extra confidence. Which of course Felix had figured out why she has so much confidence in herself now.
"Ahhhh I see? It may appear…that my little buddy from the night of the…'Incident'…has given you a confidence boost? Well…that just makes my plans…a lot more…interesting!" Felix cackled once more as he twiddled his wings together very evilly.
"W-W-What do you mean?" You can tell that the mood in the room became very dark, and there was nothing but a bleak silence that filled the air.
"Ooooh I don't know? He stole my girlfriend…he killed my best friend…he gave you all the confidence in the world?! I'm thinking…endless torture…and possibly a slow and painful death! Hahahahaha!"
"NOOO! YOU CANT! I…I…L…" Lila screamed in fear as her wings covered her face. She almost said the three special words that she was waiting to say to RDJ…but she already knew that Felix was going to find out what she was about to say.
"Oh would you look at that?! My girlfriend as fallen in love with a loser! Oh this is just too perfect!" He mockingly spoke as he shook his head from side to side in a judgemental fashion.
"HE IS NOT A LOSER! He is smart! Funny! Loving! Caring! And he actually puts my feelings ahead of his own! Something that YOU will NEVER understand!" Lila argued back and crossed her wings, as for the first time in her life…she is actually standing up for herself. And she couldn't be any prouder.
"Well then…it looks like I'm going to have to find him and torture him to death! Have fun sleeping in the street like the filthy whore that you are! After I find your little RDJ…and have a little…fun…of my own!" Felix turned away to leave, and was about to depart away from the hollow.
Lila stood there with a really heavy heart…when hearing that Felix was going to torture the man that she clearly loves…even though she knew that whatever he was going to do to him. She had to do whatever it took to prevent him from getting hurt. Which made her heart ache inside.
"STOP!" She rose her wing up in defence when watching him leave.
"Yes Lila?" The scarlet macaw male replied in a sarcastic tone, knowing that he finally got her wrapped around her wingtip like a tiny piece of string once again. Now feeling like he had the upper wing once more.
"Don't hurt him…I'll…I will do whatever you want! Just please…don't hurt him! I love him!" Lila replied with tears streaming down her face, with several of them dripping on her chest feathers.
"Hmmm…oooh I don't know Lila? You just admitted that you love him? Why should I agree to let him go? When you well and truly know what I do to birds who mess with me?"
"What more do you want from me?! I'm only asking you not to hurt him! He's done more for me than you have ever done for me! And I can't let you hurt him! Please…I'll do whatever you ask! I'll even come back to the club! Please, I beg you!" Lila dropped to her knees and begged for him to spare RDJ.
Felix placed a wingtip on his chin to think, as he now has his girlfriend in the palm of his wing. Thinking about what to get her to do…that would not only solve his problem of getting her back…but also being able to get rid of RDJ from their lives!
So only one thing had to be done…to get her to do as he says!
"Okay Lila…fine! I will not torture or kill RDJ!" He spoke with a very firm and deep tone. As he cupped his wings together in front of him. "I will also let his friends and family go!"
"You took his friends and family?"
"It was all part of the pla…we are getting off topic here! This is what I will do…because I am a guy of my word!"
"Oh thank you! Thank you so much! I promise…I will do whatever you say!" Lila wiped away her tears and sighed in relief, knowing that her 'boyfriend' was going to leave the man she wants to be with alone. But…she knew that what he was going to force her to do…would probably make her feel even worse.
"Ah ah ah! Not so fast there my sweet beak! You have to do…One…Tinsie…Tiny…Thing for me! Just one thing!" Felix narrowed his eyes again, and formed an evil smile.
"What would that be?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head to the side.
"You…have to…break his heart! HAHAHAHAHA!" The scarlet macaw male cackled in a victorious laugh. Banging his fist on the wall of the hollow.
"NO! PLEASE! ANYTHING BUT THAT?! It will kill him! I won't do it!" The blue female stomped her talon on the floor in frustration. Now feeling the rush of anxiety hit her again.
"Well then, looks like the boys are going to enjoy setting up the torture equipment! OHHH ALFONSO?!" Felix called out to nobody in particular, just to trick her into thinking he was close by. Which obviously worked like a charm.
"NOOO! STOP! OKAY! OKAY! I'LL DO IT! I'll…I'll…d-d-do it…" she trailed off in a really blunt tone…as she felt like her heart had been torn apart in a paper shredder. Lowering her head to the floor. Feeling like her chest had been hit by a tonne of bricks.
"Good…now…I believe you only have a few seconds to prepare your break up! Because he is coming back!" Felix quickly responded as he flew up to the branches above her. Leaving a really broken Lila, with the tears returning to her eyes. Feeling really vulnerable because of the orders that Felix had given her.
Suddenly, RDJ returned back to the hollow with a really dreamy smile on his beak. As he had no clue, that he was flying into what would be the worst experience of his life since he lost Jewel.
"Oh god…I can't believe I have to do this?!" Lila in this moment of time, never felt more alone in her entire life. She had to break up with the guy she loves…in order to prevent him from getting killed. "But I have to…to avoid the man I'm in love with to get killed!"
"Hey there gorgeous! How have you been coping without me?" RDJ beamed as he returned from his search around Rio. And he landed inside the entrance of the hollow. "It's really strange? None of my friends or family are about? I wonder if they are having a party or something without me?"
"Yeah…" Lila sadly spoke, without even looking at his face. Knowing fully well that she had to break up with him, to save his life.
"Hey? Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?" RDJ asked her as he slowly took a good look at her wing. Kissing the wingtips lovingly, which made her moan in relaxation…but she obviously understood that she couldn't enjoy this. Knowing that Felix was watching her every move.
"Yeah…I'm okay! Did you…find any of them?" She managed to gain a little bit of energy…enough for him to think that she was alright.
"No? For some reason none of them were home! But not to worry, we can leave here now and come back to visit when Felix has already moved on from here!" RDJ smiled as he stroked her head feathers.
"Yeah…about that…" she muttered softly while closing her eyes, to avoid him from seeing how red they were from her constant tears of heartbreak and pain.
"Yeah? What's wrong, is everything okay?" The blue abs gold macaw male asked as he grasped both of her wings.
"Okay…th-th-this is not g-g-going to be easy for me! Even though I have enjoyed our time together?" Lila started off quite weakly, as she was trying her best to say it gently. To avoid him getting upset before the forced break up even started.
"O-kay? Not exactly sure where you are going with this?" He chuckled a little bit in confusion as he rubbed her wingtips lovingly. Which made her feel even worse.
"Okay…I'm just gonna…I'm just gonna say it! Okay? Like tearing off a band aid!" Lila sadly remarked as she slowly let go of his wings. Causing the man she loves to feel a bit anxious.
"Lila…whatever is troubling you, you can tell me? We are together now, aren't we?" He started to have a sense of déjà vu.
"N-N-No…w-w-we are not…not together…nor will we…ever…be…together…" She had full on tears streaming down her face, and she began hiccuping in between cries. Because this was something she definitely didn't want to do.
"W-W-What? I…I…I don't understand?! You…You want to…end things, with me?" RDJ took a couple of steps backwards, as he now started to feel a lot of pain on his heart. And soon he had tears forming in his crystal blue eyes.
"I…I'm sorry! But! We can't see each other anymore!" Lila just blurted out randomly, and turned away to the hollow exit, feeling a hundred times worse than she had ever felt before.
RDJ quickly grasped her wing, and spun her around gently. Before he dropped to his knees and held her wings tightly. Not enough to hurt her, but enough to keep her there a little while longer.
"Please…Don't do this…I…I promise I'll do better?! I…I can give you massages in the morning?! I'll…Bring you fresh mangoes in the morning?! I'll…I'll go on morning flights with you every day! I'll even sing to you in a really bad way to make you laugh?! Just please! Don't leave me Lila! I…I love you!"
"RDJ…" she paused briefly, because the words he spoke. 'I love you' made her feel really good inside…but also really awful because of the situation she was in.
"Lila please! I know that I should have told you sooner?! And this moving away thing is a big step?! I just…I don't want to lose you! I love you Lila! Please…I can't live life without you?!" RDJ begged for the girl he confessed his love to, to stay with him. He was on his knees, he had tears in his eyes, and he begged her to stay.
"I…I…I'M SORRY! I CANT DO THIS! Goodbye…RDJ…"
Lila instantly let go of his wings and jumped out of the hollow, flapping her wings as fast as she could. As she burst into tears, flying away with nothing but pain in her heart. "I love you t-t-too!" Was the last thing she muttered, before disappearing into the city…leaving a broken…suffering…blue and gold macaw male.
RDJ sat there in the hollow entrance, with nothing but tears in his eyes. Staring at the horizon as he watched the girl he loves fly away. He was well and truly suffering!
"N-N-N-No…th-th-this can't be the end? What ab…ab…about all the things she said? All the days we spent together? The first time we made love? Was all of that…not enough?" RDJ thought to himself deeply, wiping away his tears while burying his face in his wings.
As this was going on, a certain smiling Felix chuckled maliciously at this scene as it unfolded. And he knew now, that he had to try and trick his enemy into thinking that he didn't influence this decision.
He turned to his right and saw the sparrow from before, and he whispered something in his ear. "Go back to the club and let his friends go! I'm going to have a little talk with him!"
"Yes boss!" The sparrow replied with a nod of his head. Flying away from the tree hollow, leaving Felix to talk to the male blue and gold macaw alone.
"I can't believe I lost her? First Jewel…then Shira…now the girl who I believed was destined to be with me! What the fuck is wrong with me?!" RDJ banged his fist on the wall and cried in sadness, as he buried his face in his wings. Completely unaware, that someone was standing right behind him.
"Dude…that shit was heartbreaking!" A cold voice was heard in the hollow behind him, and RDJ instantly recognised who the voice belonged to.
"Felix? What are you…what are you doing here?" RDJ asked him in sadness, as he wiped away his continuous tears.
"Well…I was just on my way here to kill you? But…looks like someone already did that for me?" Felix spoke in a soft tone with a fake saddened expression…even though he was secretly loving this.
"Lila just…dumped me? Even though I showed her that I could be a good boyfriend! Better than ho…"
"How I treated her? Yes I know…I realised when she left that I should have treated her better! I just didn't think that you were in love with her too! Oh gosh…wow…looks like she pulled on both of our heartstrings!" Felix spoke in that same tone and patted him on the shoulder. "Listen, the reason I wanted to kill you, was because you killed Zenon…but now I see that you too feel that same heartbreak. Don't worry, I myself will tell my men to leave you and your family alone!"
"It's fine…I just…I was just so happy! That I found someone who I genuinely believed could have been my perfect girl? Now…I can't feel anything…" RDJ spoke in a low tone, not even having the ability to cry anymore. Feeling broken and distraught.
"Here…maybe this should soften the blow!" Felix opened up RDJ's wing, and placed a small object in his wing.
"What is this?" RDJ wiped some more tears away, speaking in a croaky tone. As he took a closer look at what Felix had given him…and it appeared to look like a small silver necklace.
"This necklace comes with a big locket as you can see? This…belonged to Lila's mother…" Felix explained as he showed him what it was. Still keeping that fake expression on his face.
"Her…mother? How did you get this?" He asked him curiously as he tilted his head to the side.
"Lila gave it to me the day we first started dating! I hired her as my singer, and I needed payment! So she gave me this! I think you should be the one to keep it!" Felix spoke as he took it out of his wing. And hooked it around his neck, making RDJ incredibly confused. "Just to keep her in your memories…I know how difficult this must be for you?"
"Why are you being so nice to me? I've caused you so much trouble?" RDJ asked the bird who he had clearly faced up against…being completely oblivious that Felix planned all of what caused him to have this inner suffering.
"Don't think anything of it! Think of it as…a common courtesy!" The scarlet male spoke as he approached the exit of the tree hollow. Felix was snickering a lot in his mind, feeling extremely satisfied that he had now fixed two of his biggest problems. He looked over his shoulder one last time, and smiled at him…hiding his evil face. "If I were you, I'd stay away from the club! My men may attack you if you come too close! Just a…second warning, you catch my drift?!"
"Thanks…I'll…keep it mind…" the male blue and gold macaw responded with a heavy heart, as he glanced at the silver jewellery around his neck.
Felix flapped his wings and leapt out of the hollow, laughing away quietly in a triumphant way as he left RDJ alone in his old tree hollow. Heartbroken…defeated…and lonely. As he had no other words to say…as he had lost the love of his life!
"Hahahahaha finally! I got my girlfriend back! And RDJ is now all alone and broken! Now nothing is going to get in my way again!" Felix cackled victoriously, flying away into the city…and away from sight.
Woah…now that was an unexpected turn wasn't it? Felix had now forced Lila to break up with RDJ, even though they both love each other so much! But now that Felix has got his girlfriend back, who knows what he is going to do when he gets back to the club! The bigger question is…how will Leo convince RDJ that this was all a lie? And how will he react when finding out that Lila loves him back?! All to come in the next few chapters! See you soon for chapter 14!
