Lila's Rescue – Part 2
Authors Note: How about instead of explaining…we get straight to it ladies and gentlemen? Let's do it!
The fire was slowly building from the inside of the club…but it wasn't large enough to reach them as of yet. Because most of the furniture and equipment in the club's main hall were very inflammable.
But that's not what we want to talk about…it's what had happened only a few seconds ago…
The barrel of Felix's pistol was smoking from the shot that had been fired…he smiled maliciously as his intended shot hit the target…but who did he fire the gun at? Or more importantly…did the bird that he was aiming for get shot by the bullet?
RDJ and Lila stood there in complete silence after the bullet had been fired…and when a few seconds had passed by…both of them looked at each other briefly…but one of them looked more horrified than the other.
"L-L-Lila?" Lila slowly turned and faced him…with nothing but a face full of shock and horror. The blue and gold male slowly dropped onto his knees…and collapsed on the floor in front of Lila…as he was the one who got shot by Felix.
"HUAAAAA! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Lila immediately gasped in horror, covering her face with both her wings. As a jet stream of tears poured out from her eyes…as the man she so dearly loved…was holding his chest in agony…with both his wings covering the area where he had been shot.
"Ahhhhh…Ackkkkk…that…really really hurt!" RDJ softly muttered as he laid on the floor, struggling to take in oxygen…as he looked quite weak on the floor of the club.
"NO! NO NO NO!" Lila ran over to his side, and picked his head up with her wing…resting his head on her chest. As she calmly ran a wing around his shoulders to hold him up straight. "NO! NO RDJ! STAY WITH ME! PLEASE STAY WITH ME!"
"L-L-Lila…I…I don't…I don't feel…so…g-g-good!" RDJ muttered in between pants, as he continued to clutch his chest in agony. "Owwww…I think…this hurts more than the breakup!" He joked a little…as he coughed multiple times.
"RDJ…Please…don't leave me! I can't live my life without you!" The blue spix's female continued to cry her eyes out…with her tears dropping on RDJ's head feathers. As he continued to wince in pain. "You have given me so much love and affection in the last month, than Felix had in many years! I can't lose you! This is all my fault!"
"How is this…ahhhh…you're fault?"
"You jumped in front of the bullet to save me! You…took a bullet for me?" She muttered, feeling very touched yet saddened by his act of bravery. "Why would you do that? Throw yourself in front of a bullet for me?"
"How…could I not? I p-p-promised you…ahhhhh…I wouldn't let anyone…hurt you!" RDJ sweetly whispered as he rubbed her lower back with his wing. Making her close her eyes as she enjoyed this feeling.
"I'm sorry RDJ…I'm so so sorry!"
RDJ brushed a wing up against her cheek, drying away many of her tears. "No…Lila…I…I'm sorry…I'm sorry for getting you into this mess!"
"Don't be silly RDJ! This is not your fault!"
"Oh…b-b-but it is! I…I knew, that what happened between us…would be…dangerous! But that's what I get…for falling…madly…madly in love with you!" RDJ cried as he ran a wingtip down her cheek. Continuing to dry away her many tears.
"RDJ…" Lila paused very briefly so he could run a wig through her head feathers, as she closes her eyes while enjoying this. "That's what I was going to tell you back in the room…I love you too!"
"You…You do?" RDJ asked as Lila kissed him passionately on the beak, as they shared another beautiful kiss together.
Once she departed from this kiss, she laid her head on his chest and cried more and more as she was suffering. "I love you more than life itself!" She whispered with so much pain in her heart…knowing that he could be dead within the next few minutes…but she didn't want to accept this. "There must be…There must be something I could do?! There has to be!"
The room fell into a deep silence once more…as Lila hugged her beloved close to her heart…as the tears of pain continued to flow from her eyes. But soon…all of that would change…as a certain someone began chuckling evilly.
"Hmmmmm…hehehehehe…HAHAHAHAHA!"
Suddenly, a faint chuckle was heard from in front of the blue female and weakened blue and gold macaw male. That chuckle was of course the mocking sound from Felix…who watched this entire scene unfold.
"Ahhhhhh…I'm afraid…it's too late my dear! Hahahahaha!" Felix grabbed the bat with one of his injured wings, and slowly pulled himself up, so he was sitting in an upright position. As he mockingly glared at Lila…as she continued to hold onto her beloved. "You think…that holding him…telling him you love him…will save him? I shot him in the fucking chest! In about two minutes…he will depart from this world…leaving only you…and me!"
"No…No!" Lila cried once more as she held RDJ a little closer to her. "HE CANT DIE! I AM NOT READY FOR HIM TO LEAVE ME!"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! It's like I told you Lila…You…belong…to me! I…own you! Nobody else shall have you but me! I…am all…you…GOT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The injured scarlet macaw cackled evilly as he yelped a little in pain from the attacks that he had received from his girlfriend. "The fucking kid got what he deserved…that's what he gets for taking away my girl!"
"NO! I AM NOT YOURS ANYMORE! I DO NOT LOVE YOU! I COULD NEVER LOVE A FUCKING ASSHOLE LIKE YOU! I LOVE RDJ! AND YOU…TOOK HIM FROM ME!" Lila screeched in rage, as the tears didn't stop coming, and she buried her face in his head feathers once again.
"Well then…you might need this!"
Felix took the safety off of the pistol, placed it on the ground, and slid it over to her. The barrel of the gun touched her on the talon, and she immediately gazed at the weapon…and looked back over to face the scarlet male with a huge amount of rage in her heart.
"W-W-What am I supposed t-t-to do with this?!" She stuttered in sadness, sniffing every few seconds to dry her nose and face.
"Well my dear…there is one bullet left in that gun! You have three choices! So I assume you know what they are?" He asked her with that same mocking glance.
"N-N-No?" She stuttered again, as she picked up the small firearm.
"Okay…let me tell you the three options! You can either…shoot me…kill me…leaving you alone…unloved…uncared for…and alive! You can shoot your beloved RDJ in the head to put him out of his misery…come back to me…and continue your life of luxury…" He listed the first two options very subtly…but of course he paused for her to ask him what the third option was going to be.
"What's the…the…third one?"
"You hold the gun to your head…and you pull the trigger! Kind of like a Romeo and Juliet ending! Only one bullet left! What to do, oh what to do!" He continued to mock her as he cackled louder and louder. Only causing Lila to shake so much in rage…that finally she snapped.
"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Lila immediately got up from where she was sitting and ran over to her abusive partner and pointed the gun at his head. Making him chuckle sinisterly as he felt the rage and anger inside of her. "THIS ISN'T FUNNY! YOU TOOK AWAY THE MAN THAT I AM DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH! YOU DESERVE TO FUCKING DIE!"
"Then do it! Leave yourself all alone! You will be alone and unloved for the rest of your life, and nobody will ever…EVER…LOVE YOU AGAIN!"
"STOP IT! I SAID FUCKING STOP IT!" Lila grabbed the end of the pistol and smacked him on his other talon, making it feel dead…but not broken.
As this scene was going on between Felix and Lila…all the way on the other side of the room…RDJ was still laying there on the floor…but he was still breathing normally? And the weird thing about RDJ on the other side of the room…was the fact that no blood was pouring out of his chest? But why was this?
Felix looked into Lila's purple eyes with that really awful and malicious look. He wanted Lila to pull the trigger…but he knew that she wouldn't do it…just like that!
"Go ahead Lila! Do it! Pull the fucking trigger! I doubt you have the guts to do it!" Felix chuckled in a mocking tone, seeing that Lila was struggling to find the confidence to finish the job. "Go ahead…end it…I tortured you…raped you…beat the living shit out of you! And took away the only bird who ever loved you! I'm now here…unarmed…and unable to move! Do it! Kill me!"
"I…I'm gonna do it! I'll kill you for killing the love of my life!" Lila growled as she pointed the barrel at his face.
"Do it then…I haven't got all day!"
Lila took the safety off of the pistol and aimed it directly in between his eyes. Getting ready to finish the job…to end it all…to kill the bird responsible for her life of endless torture and suffering.
But for some weird reason…she kept shaking violently in nerves…feeling weak and vulnerable.
After a few seconds had passed after this brief encounter…she immediately turned the safety off…dropped to her knees…and buried her face in her wings. Curling into a ball as she burst into a river of tears once more.
Felix was a little surprised to see that she didn't even try to kill him…but he did know that there was no way she could do it…unless she had the confidence to do so.
"Hahahahaha…I knew you couldn't do it! Ahhhh…I knew you weren't strong enough!" The scarlet male laid back down on the floor, sighing in satisfaction.
What was it that made him so happy? The fact that RDJ jumped in the way of a bullet to save Lila's life…and he ended up taking the bullet instead. Giving the blue female a chance to live. Or was he happy that Lila was now suffering because of making him look like a joke in front of his men? Or maybe it was the fact that he knew now that Lila was all his!
But what we do know…is that he wanted this to happen…because he now has the chance to control his girlfriend again…well…so he thinks!
As Lila continued to cry into her wings from her broken heart, she didn't even look up once at Felix anymore. Because she now knew that whoever she was going to look up to now…would always remind her of why her life felt like a locked prison…one that she could never escape from.
"Sniff…Sniff…I'm so…so sorry RDJ! Sniff…Sniff…Because of me you are now gone! And there is nothing I c-c-can d-d-do to s-s-save you!" She cried more and more as her tear drops spilt all over the floor of the club.
Once again a hush filled the room…Felix was laying down on his back feeling relaxed after he got under Lila's feathers once again…Lila was completely heartbroken…and yet…a certain something happened…that changed the entire atmosphere.
CLINK! (The sound of a small metallic object drops on the floor)
"Sniff…Sniff Sniff! Huh?" Lila peered one of her eyes open when hearing the patter of a small object landing in front of her. She wiped her wing on her eyes to get a clearer view of what it was. Then she reached out to pick it up…and once she did…she opened both of her eyes and she was incredibly confused. "Is…Is that…my m-m-mother's necklace?"
"Mother's necklace?!" Felix immediately heard what Lila just said…and he leaned up to have a look.
She swivelled herself around so she sat on the floor…and she took a closer look. "Yes…it…it is my mother's necklace?! But…w-w-where is the l-l-locket?"
"Sorry miss? Were you looking for this?"
A voice emerged from behind her…and she immediately jumped at the sound of that voice. She spun around really quickly…knowing who that voice belonged to.
As she gazed in the direction where the voice came from…there standing in front of her…was a certain blue and gold macaw. Holding a locket in his left wingtips…with…a bullet dented in the centre of it.
"I think I found the locket!" RDJ cheekily spoke with a bright smile as he walked over to his beloved.
"RDJ! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Lila immediately tackled RDJ to the ground and rolled around with him, as the two of them laughed until she ended up on top of him, smiling at him so widely, that her whole body was shaking. "ARE YOU REAL?! PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE REAL AND I AM NOT IMAGINING THIS?!" She screamed in the happiest way possible…as she dried away her tears. Feeling his face with her wings, staring directly into his crystal blue eyes.
"I'm real my love! I'm real! Here…let me show you how real I am!" RDJ chuckled happily, as he pulled her into a passionate kiss…as he held her lower back, making her moan softly as they shared this heated passionate moment.
Lila didn't want the kids to end…she was so happy that he was still alive. That she wanted to hold on tight and never let go. But of course at some point they would have to break the kiss to gain some much needed oxygen.
They departed from this kiss…and Lila stood up onto her talons and extended her wing for RDJ to pull himself up.
"I can't believe it! You're alive! But…how?! How is that even possible?" Lila asked curiously as he stood back up onto his feet. And wrapped her wings around him tightly, not wanting to ever let go of him. "I can't believe that you're alive!"
"It was actually this necklace that Felix gave me! The bullet pierced the locket and didn't touch me! So really…Felix just saved my life!"
"Wow, that was lucky! Looks like I did choose the right guy for me in the end! Hehehe!" Lila giggled playfully as she went to go and kiss him again…but that was until she was rudely interrupted.
"No…NO! NOOOOO!" Both lovebirds turned around to notice that Felix had watched the entire thing…and his eyes widened in horror as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. "HOW CAN YOU STILL BE ALIVE?! I FUCKING SHOT YOU! I KILLED YOU!"
"Nope! You tried to kill me! But the necklace you gave me saved my life!" RDJ mocked him with a playful grin, as he had one wing wrapped around his new girlfriend, and the other one he had holding the locket.
"BUT…You were stuttering?! Ad wheezing?! You were choking! Or…suffocating?!"
"All a little act…just so I could buy some time to get my strength in my chest back! Thank you for saving me by the way buddy! The necklace was a beautiful touch!" RDJ chuckled mischievously as Lila just couldn't stop looking at her lover with so much awe.
"NOOOOO! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!" Felix bellowed in rage as he threw a glass on the floor. "THAT'S NOT FAIR! I WON! I WON!"
"Oh honey…" Lila whispered mockingly as she picked up the pistol again that was laying on the floor…and she gave it to RDJ. "But it is happening! You just saved my love life! Just like you wanted to right?" She giggled in a mischievous tone, as she wrapped a wing around her new boyfriend, laying her head on his shoulder.
Felix just laid there with nothing but rage in his heart…he cannot believe that his mocking gesture of giving him Lila's necklace had saved his enemy's life. During the terrible circumstances for him…he still tried to mock his enemy.
"Hahahahaha! You think that you will get away with this?! My men any minute now will burst through that door…and neither of you will live to see tomorrow!" Felix cackled once more before clutching his ribs in pain from laughing to much. "Shit…I forgot how much pain I was in!"
CLICK! (The sound of the gun's safety being taken off)
"Well then…I suppose we will just have to put you out of your misery?" Lila cheekily giggled, and noticed that Felix immediately went wide eyed, as the blue and gold male smirked while pointing the gun at his forehead. "Any last words…my dear?!" She mocked him with his own words. While he continued to cower in fear…knowing nod that he just made a terrible decision.
"WAIT! NO! I'M NOT READY TO DIE YET?! THERE IS STILL MUCH MORE THAT I HAVE TO DO!" He screamed in fear as he began shivering in agony. "PLEASE! I AM SORRY FOR THE WAY I TREATED YOU GUYS! JUST PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS LOGICALLY?"
"That's okay Felix…how about you think of this as…'A common courtesy'…" He chuckled evilly, hovering his wingtip over the trigger.
"Okay…I understand…but before I go…let me at least say that when I was running this place…I had a deep mind had a deep mind about a lot of things…but one thing was for certain…you Lila…will always be a stupid…fucking…bitch! And you will…"
"Fuck this guy!" Lila growled in irritation while rolling her eyes, as she took the pistol from RDJ and pointed it straight at Felix's forehead. "Oh and by the way? I quit as your girlfriend and singer!"
"Fuck…You…"
BANG!
Lila pulled the trigger…didn't even close her eyes while staring at the bird who caused her so much misery over the years. While narrowing her eyes at him, she shot Felix directly between the eyes…causing him to fall lifelessly on the floor…and he finally disappeared from this life instantly.
"Go fuck yourself you selfish cunt!" Lila cursed as she threw the pistol on the floor, and immediately turned around to see RDJ smiling at her in awe. But also with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "What?"
"Hahaha I bet you were waiting to do that for a long time?" He cooed as he wrapped a wing around her waist. Causing her to blush as she soothingly closed her eyes in relaxation.
"Like you wouldn't believe!" Lila cutely replied as she gazed at her saviour with so much love. But before she decided to do anything else, she noticed that the fire was slowly making its way over to where they were standing. "Shit, we better get out of here! The whole place will go down in flames!"
"Let's go! Can you walk?" RDJ asked her in concern as they started making their way back over to the stairs.
"Me? I'm more worried about you! If it weren't for that necklace, the bullet would have pierced your heart!" She giggled while climbing up the long staircase.
"I wouldn't worry about the bullet my love…your love already beat the bullet to my heart!" He spoke the smoothest line ever…and she thought it was really smooth and very charming. That's why she loved him so much.
"Awwwww! That's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me! I love you so much RDJ!"
"Well…let's get out of here so I can think of more sweet things to say to you! Hehehe!" RDJ beamed as they made it back into the room, and pushed the window open. Proceeding to fly out of it together. "I love you too Lila…I love you too!"
Let's Check On Our Friends Outside…(During The Brief Second Before Felix Got Shot)
"What is taking him so fucking long?! I'm getting bored just waiting out hereeee!" Martin whined like a little girl while pulling some thorns out of Zeek's butt. As he returned from the little chase that he experienced with Felix's gang. "Zeek, you never told us how you got rid of them?"
"Oh that was easy! When I was flying through the jungle at a pretty raid speed, I noticed some hunters in the jungle not too far away. So I flew right past them to gain their attention, so when the hunters saw the predators chasing me, they opened fire!" The yellow macaw explained while Georgia was stroking his back.
"You were very brave to do that my young boy! But still…did all of them flee after they stopped attacking you?" Amber asked as she waited patiently for her son to return.
"Most of them were killed in the process yes! But Derick and Luca got away! They did however say that they were done working for Felix!"
"Thank the redeemer! Last thing we need right now is a surprise attack!"
BANG!
"Shit! What the hell?! Another gun shot? Does that mean that RDJ could be dead?!" Jewel panicked fearfully, while Blu tried to calm his girlfriend down.
"No…No I don't think so?! It's been quiet for a little while! I think he should be okay!" Leo reassured his friends as he tried to get a closer look at the club.
"And what about Lila?! Do you think she's okay?!" Jacqueline asked in fear, hugging Roberto tightly.
"I hope to god that she's okay! I don't think RDJ could live with himself if he…LOOK! THE WINDOW!" Blu pointed his wing at the window which lead to the entrance of the bedroom.
As soon as everyone followed where Blu was pointing, everyone gasped in surprise.
Leaving the window was of course their beloved blue and gold macaw friend RDJ…and not only him of course! His new girlfriend Lila was flying just besides him as they exited the club together, as they returned to a cheering group of birds. As one by one they all gave them hugs. Starting with Amber and Leandro hugging their son in relief.
"OH MY BOY! My gorgeous beautiful boy! Thank god! Thank god you are alright!" Amber kissed her son multiple times on the head and beak. Making him groan in annoyance.
"Mooooom! Not in front of my girlfriend!" RDJ groaned as he pulled away from the hug, only to be tackled by the yellow macaw couple.
Jacqueline walked up to her best friend and hugged her very tightly, as she sighed happily when finally seeing her best friend feeling so comfortable and happy for once in her life. "Thank god that you guys are okay! I was really getting worried about you!" Jacqueline whispered while shedding a few tears.
"Don't worry Jacqui, I'm okay! RDJ saved my life!" Lila replied with the most calming manner, and nuzzled her beak against hers as they enjoyed this reunion once again.
"Thank god you're okay dude! I was so worried about you too!" Zeek beamed as he departed from the hug. "I thought that I would have had to come back over and save your fat ass!" He chuckled while his girlfriend Georgia just playfully shoved him.
"Thanks you guys…but Lila here, she's the one who saved the day! She finally killed Felix! Shot him right between the eyes!" RDJ beamed as his girlfriend gave him a kiss on the cheek while blushing deeply.
"What about you though?! You dived in front of a bullet to save me!" Lila responded with a dreamy smile on her beak. "I'm just glad that you weren't harmed!"
"How the bloody hell did you survive a bullet?" Jacqueline was really surprised to hear what he did, covering her face. "Surely it would have gone right through you, and killed you instantly?! Not that I wanted that to happen of course! Hehe!" She giggled while covering her face with her wing.
"The necklace that I gave Felix all those years ago, my mothers? My dick of an ex boyfriend gave it to him after he forced me to dump him! So in reality, Felix prevented the love of my life from dying, and RDJ prevented me from dying!" Lila beamed as she never felt so relaxed in all her entire life.
"Well I just couldn't stand by and watch my beautiful new girlfriend being take away from this world! I would have much rather died knowing you'd be alive and safe…than living a single moment without you standing by my side!" He smoothly spoke once again, rubbing her lower back with his wing once more. Making his beloved shiver in delight, while their friends just stared at the two lovebirds feeling so happy for them. Especially the blue and gold macaw male's parents. Who were so proud of how their son had finally found his passion in life.
Amber and Leandro smiled at the two lovebirds with so much joy, and they turned towards the blue female with welcoming looks. "Lila…come forwards a moment please!" Leandro spoke warmly, as he opened up his wing. "Come now…please don't be shy!"
"Oh…o-o-okay?" Lila stuttered nervously as she slowly strolled up to the older blue and gold macaw male and female. Rubbing her wing nervously as she stared at the older male's blue crystal eyes. Just like the ones their son had.
"So…you are the famous Lila that our son has told us about so much? Now I can see why he likes you so much!" Amber spoke up sweetly as she looked at the young teen female. Making her blush and giggle, hiding behind her soft blue wing.
"I agree sweetie! She is absolutely beautiful! Welcome to the family Lila!" Leandro agreed with his wife, and both of them brought her into a comforting hug.
This of course did surprise her a little bit because she didn't exactly know who these birds were at first. But when they revealed to be her new boyfriend's parents, she soon formed a sweet grin and hugged the two of them back. "Thank you mr and mrs RDJ! I'm glad to be part of your family!"
"Wait wait wait wait!" Amber immediately pulled away from the hug and looked at her with a mischievous grin. "Now you don't have to call us mr and mrs! You can call us Amber and Leandro! And maybe one day…mom and dad! Or another day in the future, the grandparents of your future children!" She gave her a little wink while she continued to blush. However their son just sighed and rolled his eyes again.
"Moooooom!" RDJ groaned turning away from his parents.
"Hahaha! We are only messing with you Lila…for now anyway!" Leandro chuckled as they decided to bring her in for a second hug.
From a few metres away, RDJ and Roberto watched as the three macaws hugged, and both of them chuckled in amusement when watching how beautiful this moment was. Especially since they only just met each other.
"Awwww dude! That is such a sweet sight! I'm glad that they are very accepting of her since what happened in there?" Roberto spoke to his good friend, placing a friendly wing on his shoulder. "This has been a fucking crazy month hasn't it?"
"Oh did you think so? Because I thought me meeting a girl in a bar, getting the crap kicked out of me by ten gangsters! Falling in love with the head of the gangsters girlfriend, having an affair with her, killing his right wing bird and best friend, then of course getting dumped by the girl I've fallen madly in love with! Then going back to the club to rescue her while the club was burning to the ground, diving in front of a bullet and watching my new girlfriend kill the asshole that was her now ex boyfriend and now getting to be with the girl I love was just a normal week for me!" RDJ sarcastically replied with a cheeky smile. Causing his friends just to roll his eyes at him.
"Seriously though, what are you thinking about doing now? Because didn't you say that you were talking about leaving with her?" Jacqueline asked the next question, hugging Roberto again. "Or have you changed your mind?"
RDJ before answering took another look at Lila, who was currently talking to Leo and Martin about what happened in the club. Laughing away like she was the happiest girl in the world. This little moment here, was enough to tell him that maybe leaving would be a big mistake.
"You know what? I think I might just stick around for a little while longer! Besides, my parents only just met the girl of my dreams! I think it would be too cruel for us to move away so soon! I mean…you have to ask yourself Jacqueline…have you ever seen a smile as big as that on her face before?" RDJ asked the blue female, as she turned to face her. Laughing away at a joke that Georgia just told her, with of course Zeek being really pissed off. So you can imagine that she just told her about the guys putting itching powder in her boyfriend's head feathers.
"You know what RDJ? I think because of you…she is going to be smiling like that for a very long time!" Jacqueline beamed as she gave him a little peck on the cheek, making him blush. "And I thank you for that! For bringing my old happy best friend back!"
"And I thank you too Jacqueline!"
"Thank me? For what?" She asked curiously as she rose a curious eyebrow.
"For coming up with a genius plan to save her! Now…why don't we all go back to the clubhouse, and we can get our party on?!" RDJ spoke the last part in a loud voice. Causing his group of friends to cheer loudly in determination.
"Oh, my god! I just HAVE to hook up the karaoke machine again! I think you guys need to have a little victory song after the battle today! Oh god! I got to go back now and set it up!" Martin beamed in a loud tone as he zoomed off in the direction of where the clubhouse was located. Causing everyone just to laugh while they all shook their heads.
"Okay guys! Let's go! The sooner we get out of here, the quicker we can get out of sight! The humans will be here any moment now to put out the fire! And you guys know how I feel about being around humans!" Jewel explained as she was the next one to follow Martin to the clubhouse. Followed by her beloved Blu, the yellow macaw duo, Leo, Amber, Leandro, Roberto, Jacqueline.
But as RDJ was about to join them, Lila pulled on his wing briefly. Making him turn to face her with a curious glance. "Are you alright? Don't you want to go and join the others?"
"In a moment…there is something…personal…that I wanted to talk to you about first!" She softly spoke, rubbing a wingtip up and down his muscular abs.
"Okay? Oh…is it about the necklace?! Because don't worry, Zeek is pretty good when it comes to working with metal! Don't ask me why, he just knows quite a lot!" He responded curiously, causing her to shake her head.
"It's not just about the necklace RDJ…it's…it's about my mother?"
"Oh…you don't have to talk about this if you don't want to!"
"No…I think you…I think you deserve to know!" She sadly lowered her head, before he lovingly wrapped his wings around her, comforting her during this tough time.
"Okay…so…what did you want to tell me?" He sweetly brushed a wing up against her cheek.
"So…before I moved into the city…I lived in the jungle with my parents, Jacqueline, and her parents many years ago! My dad was always getting food and teaching me on how to survive, and my mom was always so nurturing and looked after me when I was hurt or feeling sad! They were wonderful parents! And I was the happiest daughter in the world!" She started off quite strongly, and gazed into the eyes of her boyfriend, who nodded his head slowly. "So when I turned three, my mom found this necklace in the city, which had the letter L on it! I don't know how she knew how to read, but I loved it! I took it everywhere I went!"
"That's a pretty thoughtful gesture!"
"I know…she was always so thoughtful and generous to everyone she met! Even when she met Jacqueline for the first time. She was so kind and loving towards her! She would have loved you! She would have despised Felix! Hehehe!" She giggled playfully, making RDJ stroke her head feathers.
"So…what happened to them?" RDJ asked sweetly, as she saw the expression on her face change slightly.
"One day…my mom and dad were feeling overwhelmed by the fact that they had to raise me and Jacqueline…after her parents were sadly taken by poachers…and they were not ready to raise more than one child!"
"I don't think I like this story…"
"Oh and it gets better! One day I remember going to sleep in my hollow with Jacqueline one evening, feeling really happy that I was living with my loving parents and my best friend! Feeling like nothing shall ever bring me down! But when I woke up the next morning…I was in some old tattered building in the city! With Jacqueline shaking me to try and get me to wake up! So once we realised what was going on, we went back to the jungle to see if my parents had left us there by accident! But when we got there…they were…gone!" SGE finished her sad story, and lowered her head to his chest feathers.
"Wow…so…that's when they abandoned you? Oh my gosh…that's…that's terrible!"
"Yes…and since that day, I couldn't think straight! Me and Jacqui had to survive on our own for many years after that! Only for me to one day meet Felix at this very club! He hired me as his singer, I gave him the necklace as payment…and that was the moment that I felt broken…never to feel happy or cherished again! But then…a few days later after opening this brand new club…I meet you!"
"Oooh?" He rose his eyebrow with great interest, rubbing her back in an affectionate manner.
"The say that I met you…and you…looked at me with that spark in your eyes from the front row during my song? Never in all my life had anyone ever looked at me in that way before! And in that very moment…it almost as if the universe was telling me…that you, were the one who would take away all of my sadness and heartbreak, and replace it with love, care and affection! And you did just that! Now all I want to do in my life, is feel like this every day! As long as I'm with you RDJ…I know that I will live a long and happy life!"
"Of course you will Lila! Do you remember what I promised you when we had our first date? I said that I would always look after you, protect you, cherish you…I would never let anyone hurt you!" He grasped both of her wings and pressed his nose up against hers. "And I promise to spend the rest of my life treating you the way that you deserve…I love you Lila! And I want you to know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you!"
"Awwww RDJ! I wanna spend the rest of my life with you too! I love you too RDJ!"
Both lovebirds closed their eyes in complete bliss, and pressed their noses up against each other as they enjoyed the warm comfort of being together. Their hearts raced once again like the first day that they met, and they both felt very tingly inside. Which in some cases…they wanted to once again feel their love for each other.
"How ummm…long do you reckon do you think they could wait for us?" Lila asked mischievously as she started massaging his shoulders, while he blushed deeply.
"I don't know…but luckily for us my hollow isn't that far away?" RDJ remarked with a cheeky wink, causing Lila's breathing to speed up a little bit.
"Okay…well let's be quick! Because I want to get to the clubhouse so we can have a victory celebration with our friends and family!"
"I agree my love! Let's go!" RDJ beamed as the two of them immediately leapt into the air and flew back to the jungle briefly. Only so they could have a private moment of passion…before heading back to the clubhouse to celebrate their victory, after defeating Felix.
Now how about that for a twist to the tale?! I bet you wasn't expecting that was you? Well my friends, Felix had finally been defeated! RDJ saved Lila's life, the necklace prevented RDJ from getting shot! And of course RDJ's family have become very welcoming to Lila, Jacqueline, and Leo! So the main question is now, what will happen in the next chapter? Well not only will it be a beautiful chapter, but the next chapter is the conclusion to this beautiful love story!
