Sucrose: Opposites Attract
Geo and Anemo were opposites on the elemental scales and it was said in the cultures of many areas that such forces could have interesting effects. She knew this well as her master had a Geo vision and he was skilled as an artist as well as a warrior because despite the kind the person he was would have never told of his skill with nearly everything he touched.
She never saw him mad except for two times in all the years they had worked together has master and assistant. Both of them were times she thought he would use those abilities in a brutal scene against what he thought wronged. One was when she had been pushed out on dragon spine working on the experiments with a polluted blade and seeing an adventurer push her to the side hard enough she hit her head on the stone wall surrounding the arena.
Albedo was livid, he wasn't calm but cold like the mountain they were on, and it seemed the alchemist had well enough of the panicking fool. It was really the regisvine that had popped up trying to get them all that was the target for his wrath, and despite his own element being at odds against Cryo, it didn't do much.
He spent that battle flitting around the field exacting a plan that no one really knew except for him. The traveler who was more versed in the ways of the world had sat back to take care of them and was wondering what it was he was doing weaving over and under vines and it had been about the point where draining frost had to be coming into play that he shifted the Geo sent himself up in the air on his own flower and burst the rock under neath one side finishing the separation of the regisvine.
The impact of that wall popping up was enough to set the vine away from root and power causing it to almost fry in the mountain air broken off from its root. Gasping a couple deep breaths he sheathed his sword and put his hands behind his back before walking over to everyone. It wasn't exact but she could feel wrath at the damage toward her it seemed.
What would be the only other time was going to be the definite memory to her theory as it involved a group of treasure hunters trying to sell an artifact she needed. Some insults they tried to mock her with could be bounced off she had taken insult to others and brought up things she really wished they hadn't, it made her an easy target for people until she could focus on the battle and problem at hand, but the wind behind of the oar slicing through the air and catching her hard enough on the back of the head did the sound of his voice come only when she was surrounded by the treasure hunters.
"What are you doing with my assistant?" The tone was as defiant as the rock the cliffs he stood on were made from.
She could not see him save for rough details and when her eyes began to flutter closed. While the sound of a sword unsheathing sang the last notes around her and the rumbles of pulls from the earth could comfort her it was the sheer drop of noise that while she could not focus in on was unnerving going from the screams of foes to silence.
It wasn't until waking up in the Wangshu Inn that she could feel the dull throb of pain come from the back of her skull and the master she had chosen to serve under worried as he leaned against a table keeping an eye on her like she would disappear.
"How are you feeling?"
"I should have kept my mind on matters at hand, I am sorry for needing you're help." she apologized.
He raised a hand waving it off as if it did not matter. There was so much that were in his eyes but she knew her master and he was not someone to talk at times and that is especially true around when it came to his emotions.
Back in the lab the fluid in it was almost boiled out and was something she could really get in trouble when it came to her own work. Learning the lesson of her past memory began to gather her thoughts of what was going in the lab. The table full of equipment going on was in need of care or there would be another unfortunate accident she would need Noelle to help with, and she did not want to enlist the maids with anything if it could be helped.
Lowering the flames, and taking the notes, checking solutions, writing times and changes, adding what need more liquid for dissolving and she was back in her chair some at her desk a few feet away as everything could now be taken care of for a few more hours, and it was just enough for her to sketch a particular flower in the corner of her notes, botany specialists wouldn't know what it was and really anyone wouldn't unless they saw her Albedo make one on the fields.
What had happened next was something that brought her from her thoughts.
"Hmm, I think I know that particular flower. I never knew you one for the arts, dear."
Albedo was beside her and while in the lab they were more honest, the feeling of his lips against her cheek made a well of warmth spring up her back almost lighting her face in a blush.
Their relationship was done in a way so her merit as a scientist would be examined, still some people knew. It was clear Lisa had figured it out before either one of them, as does Klee's mother, and Kaeya. She could not figure out how they grasped so quickly but all three holding high positions in the knights would explain that they had some capabilities she was not made aware of.
"I nearly boiled the beaker out again, was thinking back when I got in trouble with the Treasure hunters."
They had found each other in a way in the lab, when no one was around as he needed to be the cool Alchemist and she needed to be examined for her work and not who warmed her bed.
She had smirked thinking about such things as really he could be well heralded in those fields as well, but that was something she was very happy keeping to herself despite the Librarian's comments at him being a cutie making the green eyed jealousy leap in her. Envy like that was something she had to be careful with when they started their relationship as it was no one could know and if she took an overly emotional response it would tip the hand to all who could see or hear it.
In the lab though, the only person who would intrude was Lisa and she knew. The first time they had been found Sucrose on her lover's lap holding the man she had learned to care so much for. Seeing them so comfortable on each other had gotten a small chuckle while Albedo flatly would not allow them to part instead dealing with the librarian as flatly as one could before being asked to lock the door as she left. Sucrose could barely remember how red her face was, a point of comedy surely to the older woman that with her green hair and long hears made her feel more like a bright sunsettia.
They would be a relationship that would need to survive through a lot but both were bright and cared and she was so happy when she confessed that he reciprocated that the small little hits of this emotional high would be something she had to protect no matter what and having to cover her scientific work as the bio-alchemist and someone who was getting more well known for her own work, it would be difficult, but it could be done.
Feeling his arms snake around her and lift her up bridal style they made their way to his chair where he sat and had her on his lap his own larger open desk enough space for her to continue working in the notes she clutched to her chest on the small trip. He had loved to keep her close while he needed to think about something it was almost like she was a security blanket to the man and she was happy to be such a thing. It made her feel that he had her in such a regard.
The numbers of her notes were fighting her and they had allies in the roaming hands of Albedo who was very playful tonight as her own memory tried to place how she came to be with him. When the lips found the small uncovered part of her shoulder he head became cloudy with the contact. Something she had to realize when they started that fighting such things would only leave someone tired and unfulfilled.
Pushing the collection of papers and data away there was another idea that was gaining speed and decided that it would be the best plan of action. Turning herself around her knees gave enough support on the room on the plush cushion that she was effectively straddling him.
From her spot she looked over and craned her neck to see the door locked and set, the food on the far table a sign they would need a long night to watch their experiments. In the effort his lips had found her neck and one ear that had become low and she was really ready to push him back with a gust if he kept doing that with his teeth, and... and.
There was an and and while she tried to remember it, there had to be little importance to it because she was feeling exceptional and he was happy to make her feel so good. She did not know where such feelings were actively bubbling from but she wanted to return it to the Geo artist. Removing her glasses the details had become very blurry but there was a nature to finding things with hands and lips and he was very vocal if she could find certain points.
A spot on his neck barely healed from her last attack was calling to her and she honestly felt like she could smell it as the sharp pressure of her teeth and soft kisses had turned him from the coolly controlling expert to the growing tremor that was wanting more from her hand. A capture of hers by his kissing the top in a gesture that was sweeter then her name made her eyes half close and focus on trying to torture the man under her, and she loved how he would just let go and let her control the pace.
Feeling it made a thrill crawl up her spine make her breathe and savor the taste of action, she could really get used to it if she ever got to the point of master as well. A vision of her placing him on his lap was really intriguing, and honestly she wanted to give it a shot.
Leading off the chair Albedo wasn't as heavy as she thought and could lift him fairly easily, changing each others positions and soon the Master Alchemist was straddling her and her bravery evaporated as he arched an eyebrow at her bravery. Holding her head in his hands he leaned in and kissed her on the lips softly enough that the sound of knocking against the door sounded like thunder. She could not move while it would be seen what they were doing. Her pulse quickened and she wanted to disappear, she didn't want to hurt his reputation.
Trying to find a book Albedo had borrowed Lisa had unlocked the lab and opened the door when she looked inside she was impressed at the situation they had gotten in. From her view the back of his chair was to her and he could be seen on his knees on someone, someone she had to figure Sucrose for something.
"Am I interrupting something?" Lisa quiped with a hand in front of her mouth before closing the door to a crack.
"Yes. This will have to wait."
"Fair enough, I will let you and sucrose get back to some serious business."
The kiss he laid on her lips as the door closed turned her glowing face into a beacon he hoped he could get her to find that daring part again, that may be his next experiment. It was a very intriguing side effect of their relationship and as he had a nip of her nape he could just begin to figure out what it could bring, the experiments were numerous and very fun.
