It hadn't taken much more to get the other kids to come over to say hi to him.
Zack was sure he was going to have bruises on his legs from where the little ones had run into. His eyes flicked up to look in the rear view mirror, watching Natsume keep a hand on Lambo's head to keep him sitting down.
As tired as the girl looked, she wasn't giving the seven year old a chance to stand up.
Meanwhile I-pin was asleep in Tsuna's arms, having knocked out as soon as they had sat down in the car. Fuuta was sitting on the floor and like I-pin he was dead asleep, head resting against Iemitsu's leg.
Probably not the most comfortable nor safe position, but he only had the 4runner that was big enough to fit all the luggage and everyone.
"Next time I'll bring two cars," Zack sighed, earning a snort from Nana.
"You're planning the next trip already?" she asked, voice sounding throaty from both exhaustion and the crying she had done.
"Bet ya ass I am," he responded, looking over his shoulder so he could change lanes. "Right 'Mitsu?"
Iemitsu made a sound of agreement, more asleep than awake, but still somewhat alert enough to understand. That or he was just grunting in his sleep.
"I'll remind him of it when he wakes up," Nana said, the smile on her mouth not once having fallen away. She stuck her hand out the window, glad to feel the warmth on her skin compared to the constant cold air of the plane. "I feel whole."
"Course you do Nans," Zack said, scratching at his chin, gaze briefly flicking up the rearview mirror when Lambo whined about wanting to get up. "You're finally home."
Nana didn't say anything as she brought her hand back in, letting it rest in her lap. She just kept her gaze on the scenery before her, which looked both familiar and unfamiliar. A lot has changed in the last twenty years and her heart felt a bit of guilt for having stayed away for so long.
But now she was home and she would do her best to soak in everything she had missed.

They hadn't even made it into the house, just barely out the car when Nana's mother and uncle stepped out the house.
"I know it rains every now and then, but this is pushing it," Uncle Toyo commented, his voice cracking because of emotion. "It's going to be flooding in Kailua soon."
"Shut up," Alana managed, not letting go of Nana even as she tried to donkey kick her brother away. Alana gave Nana a watery smile, cupping her only daughter's face and pressing their foreheads together. "It's good to have you home again."
Nana nodded, eyes closing as she leaned into the gesture.
A few seconds, it was quiet and peaceful as she savored this moment. Nana then pulled away, her hands coming up to grasp her mother's wrists and pulling them gently away from her face. Her mother smiled at her, dark brown eyes shining with happiness as they looked over her face, before looking over at the twins who were standing just a few feet away.
Toyo already had Tsuna in a hug; hand on his head ruffling his hair, whispering something that had the young teen chuckling. Natsume seemed to keep herself by Zack, making small talk with the man whose shoulder she just barely passed.
"The others will be here later," Zack told Natsume, not at all bothered that he was holding Lambo who was drooling on his shoulder. "All of 'em are excited to see ya."
He put a hand against her back, pushing her towards Toyo who didn't hesitate to put an arm around her shoulders and nearly banged Tsuna's and hers heads together when he pulled her in.
"Hiiee, Uncle Toyo!" Tsuna managed to pull away from hurting his sister.
"Man, ya taller than I thought," Toyo commented, not at all bothered when Tsuna got out of his hold. With his now free hand he began ruffling Natsume's hair, "It's good to finally meet ya in person, keiki."
"You too, Uncle," she responded, voice soft as she didn't know how to feel.
"Ya did good with everything," he said softly and she felt her shoulders tense for a second. "Now none of that," he pulled away, hands on her shoulders as he nodded, eyes bright as he beamed at her. "Like I said to ya brother, ya gonna have a good vacation here. No stress, no nothing."
"Promise?"
"Eh," Toyo shrugged, "Can't promise nothing but a good time."
"Good enough."
"Move Toyo," Alana said after having smothered Tsuna in hugs and kisses. "Natsume, honey, it's so nice to finally meet you~"
"Mm," Toyo grunted, stepping back enough so that his sister wouldn't try to kick him again. He rested his arm on Nana's shoulder, who had moved beside him, wrapping her arms around him. "Good to have ya home Nana."
"Good to be home."
Part 92: We get to know now
Chrome didn't mind the walk from Kokuyo Land to Namimori.
She knew there was a way to travel faster, but why would she do that? She didn't mind walking alongside the road, hands laced behind her back as she admired the greenery around her. Birds chirped here and there, the sounds of other animals chippering relaxing her.
Reborn had left last night without much of a word as to why, though Chrome knew it had something to do with Vongola.
She guessed since Iemitsu was with his kids, Reborn could take a short leave to personally check in on his business. Though that did leave the rest of them without his protection and from what Hayato had texted the group chat, someone had tried to get smart not even two hours after Reborn had gone.
She didn't know if she should feel sorry for whoever tried to get wise and enter the Sawada home, but being introduced to Bianchi's poison cooking was probably not what they had expected.
There was a sign that she passed, stating that she was in Namimori town limits.
Just stepping within the town she already felt herself relax and feel a bit excited about the outing for today. It had been a long while, but Haru, Kyoko and Hana had established a cake date again.
She for one was eager to try the double layered chocolate cake that Haru had sent of a picture of the other day.

"Are you sure you want me to cut this?" Takeshi asked his dad, who stood beside him and nodded.
"You've watched me enough times," Tsuyoshi said, arms crossed as he waited for his son to start cutting up the tuna. "Nothing is ever perfect, Takeshi, regardless of how the cuts are made, it's still going to end up in our belly."
Takeshi nodded, holding the sushi knife the same way he had watched his dad do it numerous times. Tsuyoshi watched as his son began to slice into the fish, who was careful with his motions and where he was cutting.
"Good, good," he said, pride welling up in his chest as Takeshi set a part a piece and started again on another part. His son was done after fifteen minutes, Tsuyoshi expecting his slices and his cuts. "Not bad for a newbie."
He held out his hand for Takeshi to hand him his knife and Tsuyoshi grabbed one of the pieces, "Now we may not get the biggest tuna and this one is enough for us and our shop." Takeshi nodded, watching as his dad started to knick out pieces he didn't want. "We try not to let a lot go to waste, but pieces like this can go."
"Even waste has its use, but that's a lesson for later," Tsuyoshi hummed, setting down the knife. "Now, let's put away what we won't use today and then we'll start working on your rolls again."
He really was lucky to have a son like Takeshi. Tsuyoshi glanced at the corner of the room where he kept a picture of his wife, Noa.
You would be proud.

"I said I didn't want food!"
Bianchi could imagine Hayato as a kitten, all puffed up and hissy. It was adorable, really. "It's not going to kill you."
If he could choke on his tongue he would, the only thing he really did was choke on his spit. His coughing fit had Bianchi wanting to approach him, but he held his arm out, to keep her from getting close.
Which was understandable.
"I didn't even make it, Hayato," she sighed, resting a hand on her hip, the other gesturing to the food on the table. "I even wore gloves when I took it out of the box."
He glared at her, eyes locking with hers and shifting over to glance at the food on the table. He would never admit to pouting, but she knew better.
"I'll try it, but I swear –"
"I understand."
He didn't sit down, just reaching for a piece of the chicken on the plate and carefully biting off a piece of it. He chewed carefully before he swallowed and it seemed to have been enough to make his stomach growl.
With a haughty sniff, he pulled out the chair and sat down, a barely heard thank you leaving him. For her it was enough and she took a seat as well, grabbing a few pieces of her own. This was a step in the right direction, a step that had taken forever to take but was finally happening.
Chrome and Natsume had been more than willing to help her by trying her food and though the girls did get sick, it wasn't all the time. Hayato probably wouldn't touch her own cooking in a long, long time, but for him to try food that she had touched, regardless of gloves, it meant something.
Bianchi would take the small wins.
And maybe one day, they'll be able to talk about what her older self had given him.
For now, she'll take this.

Ryohei was weight training.
It felt off today.
"Whoever is staring needs to stop!"
His voice echoed a bit in the training room and he was about to shrug it off and resume curling his weights when a Reborn sized toddler in red robes stepped out. He even had that weird feeling he got around Reborn sometimes.
Huh.
"I didn't actually…." He trailed off as he relaxed, arms hanging at his sides not at all bothered by the thirty fives he was holding. "You look familiar."
The toddler gave him what Ryohei would call a calming smile. Kyoko would sometimes smile at him like that to get him to relax after he got too over the top about something. Though lately his sister has been giving him that smile more often and though it did soothe him in some way, it also made him itch.
She was up too something, not that he would figure it out.
(He might be feeling a little guilty after all that happened in the future, the way the secret was let out. He didn't mind if she kept her own secrets for now.
He just hoped she would tell him at some point.)
"I am Fong, a friend of Reborn and Colonello."
Ryohei set down his weights at the mention of Colonello and also sat himself down on the floor. "Hi, I'm Sasagawa Ryohei! It's a pleasure to meet another great friend of Reborn and Colonello!"
The toddler inclined his head, amused at his energy, "Though if you're looking for Reborn, he left already."
"I did not come here to see Reborn," Fong mused, his hands laced together within his sleeves. "I merely came to see that all is well."
Ryohei nodded, brow furrowed in confusion, "…so is everything well?"
"Mm, it will be," Fong already knew I-pin was in good hands. "Say how would you like to accompany me?" Knowing Hibari, seeing him with someone he knows would make him pause before he went into fight mode.
"Sure! Anything for a friend of Reborn and Colonello," he readily agreed, knowing that he wouldn't have the focus to continue his work out after.
"And for interrupting your work out, I'll offer you a training session."
"Sweet!"
Definitely not letting that deal pass, if this Fong was anything like Reborn and Colonello, he was about to get his ass kicked.
And it would be for the better.
Part 93: Waves break and so do hearts
"Geez that was kind of mean, Natusme," Esmi hummed, amused at how nonchalant her niece was towards the teen who was trying to flirt with her.
Poor kid, if only he had gone for another girl Natsume's age, then he might have succeeded. But her cute, not so little niece was both oblivious and did not care at all about being flirted with.
Which thinking about that, she sent a small prayer to Takeshi, a boy who obviously liked her, but Natsume either didn't acknowledge it or just didn't realize it. Iemitsu had been giggling when he told them that over drinks the night before, leaning on Nana who had a sudden realization.
"Takeshi-kun does?"
With how drunk Iemitsu was the man merely nodded, his giggles not at all falling away and merely making him flush darker.
Okay back to the kid at hand.
One of Natsume's brows was raised questioningly, before the girl said, "I was just being honest?"
"Don't ever change," was all Esmi said as she playfully tugged on Natsume's braid. It had now been a few days that they had been there and the two had got on fine, along with everyone else. Nana's family just slipped in as if they hadn't ever been missing and Esmi found the young ones (along with Nana's husband) refreshing.
"So with that rejection, does that mean you have a boyfriend back in Japan?"
The incredulous look Natsume gave her made her laugh to the point she started snorting, "I think the sun is getting to you, you're talking crazy."
"Come on, I won't tell~"
Natsume jokingly pretended to gag, "Please, all the boys I know are stupid."
Esmi controlled herself, though seeing the shit eating grin on her face did make Natsume stalk off back to where everyone had set up on the beach, "You know best Tsu-chan!"
Gosh teasing that girl was so much fun.

Fuuta had gone with Natsume and I-pin had chosen Tsuna.
Lambo had decided he wasn't risking going into the ocean until he saw it would be okay. No he wasn't being a scaredy cat, he was just being careful.
Like how is ane always told him to be.
"You okay staying here, Lambo?" Nana asked, pulling her hair back into a loose ponytail.
Lambo nodded, sticking by Reno who gave Nana and Iemitsu a thumbs up, "Careful out there."
"Let's see how long you can stay on the board today," Nana was heard saying, Iemitsu scoffing and proclaiming he might last five minutes.
"You 'kay little man?" Reno asked, reaching into one of the coolers and getting himself a soda. "Wanna juice?"
Lambo nodded, accepting the juice pouch that was handed to him, "'m okay."
"Y'know you shouldn't be scared," Reno said, after a taking a long sip from his soda. He looked at the twins who were calmly paddling on the boards they were on, the kids with them kneeling on the nose of the board and sticking their hands in the water. "They'd take care of you."
Lambo eyed the brown haired man, lips pouting against the straw of his juice. He didn't say anything to that, not really knowing what to say. Of course they'd take care of him! They were his big brother and sister who always helped him and watched out for him.
He resumed drinking, both mindful of Reno's stare, but also not giving it much attention. While he may not have spoken much to Auntie' s family, he knew they were good people.
The others eventually showed up and Lambo waved at them.
They started talking, handing out food that they brought and giving him some.
Time went by and he ate some of the chips Esmi handed him. He tried not to laugh when one of the shorter men cursed after trying to start a fire on the grill they had brought. He understood a bit of what he said, before he cut off after being smacked by Zack.
"There's a kid, watch ya mouth," Zack said to Isaak, who rolled his eyes.
"Prolly heard worse before," Isaak muttered, trailing off as he finally got the coal to burn. "A-ha! Yes, fucking finally."
"Cursing in Spanish isn't any better," Esmi tutted from where she stood, holding a camera up to her face and taking a picture of Nana and Iemitsu attempting a small wave. She snorted when Iemitsu didn't make it out of the tube and got swallowed up by the wave, "Gosh, to think he's –"
"Shh, not here, but yeah I get what ya mean."
Lambo listened, not really understanding what they meant. Not that it mattered to him, "Ma, Auntie Esmi can Lambo get more?" And he pointed to the other bag of chips she had brought.
"Mhm, don't eat too much though, food's gonna be ready soon."

"What if I just – boop~"
Natsume's foot lightly touched his backside, not even pushing him forward. Fuuta of course twitched at the suddenness of it and almost fell into the ocean.
"Please don't do that," Fuuta sighed, hanging limply in Natsume's hold. She held onto his life jacket, trying not to laugh at his reaction as she set him down on the wider part of the board.
"Sorry, couldn't resist."
"I told you she's mean Fuuta!" Tsuna called out from ahead of them, straddling his board so he could hold I-pin who had decided she wanted to get in the water.
"Oh come on, I'm not mean –"
"I think I aged twenty years with that scare."
"Fuuta you're like ten, stop being dramatic."
"I am ten and I feel old now."
He didn't see the deadpanned look Natsume gave him.
Fuuta waited a second, before turning to look at Natsume and fake smiling at her, "You would understand about being old right?"
Tsuna heard Natsume yelling and Fuuta laughing so hard he snorted and decided to ignore it in favor of paying attention to Reno yelling out to them. He easily lifted I-pin out of the water, making sure she was in a good spot so when he stood up she wouldn't tip over with the movement.
He began paddling out, leaving Natsume and Fuuta behind who were now bickering over what age really meant.
"Just cause you can see beyond doesn't mean –"
"I have connections to the ancient –"
"You do not – "
"Which means I'm possibly –"
"Let's leave the crazy behind, I-pin."
The little girl merely giggled, leaning back against Tsuna's legs carefully so not to unbalance him, "The crazy is always there, Tsuna-nii."
Part 94:
"AH!"
Dino held his hand over his heart, leaning against the doorway to keep himself up. Reborn hung upside down beside him, smiling as if he hadn't almost gave him a heart attack, "Long time no see Dino."
Reborn flipped down onto the floor, proceeding into the room without much prompting, "Good to see you've made some changes."
Dino nodded, taking in a deep breath before exhaling slowly and counting to ten. On reaching ten he felt himself much calmer and ready to deal with the reason Reborn was here.
"Why are you here?"
Ah, he probably shouldn't have asked that.
Reborn didn't show any sign that he was annoyed.
It was just one second he was standing up and the next he was ducking beneath Reborn's bright green hammer. "I-I mean how are you? Would you like coffee or anything?"
Leon was back to his regular form, his tongue lolling out as he blinked up at Dino before scurrying up Reborn's arm, "You remembered your manners, good, good, I'm glad I don't have to go over that with you."
Reborn headed back into the room; hopping up onto the couch Dino had put set up so he could lay down to nap.
"I'll take a coffee."
Dino turned to the four men who had gathered at the door, breathing heavily as they looked between their boss and Reborn.
"Have one of the maids bring up some coffee for us," Dino smiled, eyes crinkling in a way that had them straightening up. "Make sure no word gets out that he's here."
They inclined their heads and went off to do as he asked.
With a sigh, Dino turned around to see Reborn had made himself comfortable on the couch. Making his way over to sit across from him on the other chair, he noted the box on the coffee table. Reborn without prompting merely said, "What kind of guest would I be if I showed up empty handed?"
"You shouldn't have, Reborn."
"I didn't, but I did."
Dbino brought his hand up to smother a chuckle, remembering a time when Reborn's tone was much harsher and uncaring.
They waited for the coffee to be brought, the maid scurrying in not even a few minutes later and making her way out quickly. Dino reached over and poured Reborn a cup, before pouring one for himself. He raised up his, Reborn mimicking him, "A pleasure to see you Reborn, thank you for your company today."
Reborn sipped at his coffee, gaze not leaving Dino as he did. He brought his cup down, nodding at Dino, "Of course Don Cavallone, I should thank you for having me."
Dino would admit to himself later, but he had missed having the hitman around.

"They're behaving?"
It was after dinner and Reborn had stayed after, though he wouldn't be staying the night.
"Suprisingly, I haven't heard much, but I get the feeling Nono isn't happy about it," Dino said, thinking back on what else he's heard over the Varia situation. "I'm more surprised he's not keeping you updated on this seeing as it was Tsuna who decided this for them."
"It's been busy," Reborn responded tersely.
"Along with those visions from May? I would say," Dino huffed, brow furrowed slightly. "Still, if it were me…."
"You would, but you're a different generation."
He wouldn't disagree on that.
"We can't be all that different."
"I'll just say this, the heir that Nono believed he would be getting does not exist," Reborn paused for a bit, watching Dino. "I'm sure he realized that back during the ring battles which is why he hasn't been checking in like he has."
"Take that as you will, Dino." Another pause and Reborn tipped his hat at the blond, "Don't worry about seeing me out, I know the way. Good night, Dino."
Obviously no one else had been around to hear that, Reborn wouldn't just drop that kind of bomb anywhere. But holy shit.
Had Nono just wanted Tsuna to be a puppet of some sort – to mold and shape as he pleased and as he thought best? Not that he would ever believe anyone being capable of manipulating Tsuna, he was sure Natsume would deal with that before it happened.
Unless Nono had something he could hold against Tsuna?
But what could that possibly be?
Maybe he'll visit Japan soon, drop in and check in on his bro.
AN:
I don't have much to say? Other than I really liked writing in snippets and checking in on the characters doing their daily things.
Hope you all enjoyed!
