I closed the blue window with a whistle. Those were some sweet sweet rewards, especially the massive increase in my powers which was most likely the result of becoming tier 2. Previously the total amount was calculated by multiplying spirit by 10, now it was by... ah...50? If my math was correct. Yes, definitely some sweet rewards.
Though I could've done without that horribly painful procedure. I hoped the pain was a one time thing.
My physical growth though... I can now definitely say that i was above human. I didn't have the observe to check their levels previously, but from what little practical knowledge I had, most adults should be around lvl 15-20. Even without this mega power up, I was already stronger than most professional weight lifters, easily picking up over 150-200 kgs. Now though?...well, I didn't know my own strength but surely it will be above a simple human's. I mean, i gained 50 freaking levels from unlocking my wings. Which Increased all my stats by 50. Plus that upgrade to tier 2 that basically officiated me as more than a human; a superhuman. It seemed amazing.
"Are you awake, Mikael?" My mother's gentle voice reached me, concern and worry clear in her tone.
"Yeah, mother. I'm up." I replied, pushing my up on the straw bed, though instantly feeling the additional weight behind my back.
"Now, I know this might be disorienting but I wish you to relax." My mother said soothingly, coming to stand in front of me. "There is no need for any panic, everything is as it should be."
It was only then that my attention finally went to the two new additional appendages on my back. My wings flared around me like two extra hands. Though infinitely more beautiful than any hands could be. Snow white in colour, with small horizontal slashes of black across the inner fur, they looked like true wings of an angel. Beautiful, pure, and absolutely mind-blowing. I touched the inner side of the wings, marvelling at the softness of the white fur.
"Wow." I whispering subconsciously, my full focus on the wings right now.
I absently noted a sigh of relief from my mother. "I'm glad you are not scared of your heritage."
"Wha–?" The statement broke me out of my reverence and i stared at my relieved mother with a bewildered frown. "Why would I ever be scared of these beauties? They are soft and warm and pretty. Everything i could've asked for in wings!"
My mother chuckled. "Indeed they are." Her hands came down to caress my wings slowly. "I'd wondered if you will ever grow them. Your birth is highly...unique. when you showed no signs of any wings for the first few years, I'd thought you will only inherit your father's divine nature. I'm glad that I was wrong."
I looked at my mother, focusing on her for a second. She looked happy...well, she always looked happy when talking to me, so that didn't mean much. But there was a certain kind of relief, like a burden was removed from her shoulders. Did she worry that i will turn out like zeus? No, that's not it. I'm pretty sure she'd still love me if I went around raping the neighborhood. Well...maybe not, but still! So...did she worry I won't have any connection to her without my wings?
Damn, these emotional things hurt my brain. I was completely spent emotionally after that roller coaster of a ride last night. For now, I wasn't wise enough to know the reason for her relief, but I was glad that she was happy.
"Come, Mikael. We have much to do." She said with an excitement she only showed when she taught me something, or when I succeeded in learning it.
Suddenly I remembered the most vital skill of a gamer and quickly used it on her.

'Holy shit. Its so high!' Is what I wanted to say, but the truth was, I had no idea where my mother stood in this world. She was way more powerful than me, sure. But I've known that for 6 years now. So yea...so those numbers meant absolute bullshit to me.
I had almost 100 stats in strength now, did that mean my mom was just 6-7 times more stronger than me? That's just plain wrong. I've seen her do stuff that even if I was 10 times, hell 100 times! Stronger, I wouldn't be able to do. So clearly those numbers weren't additive, but multiplicative. What kind of multiplication was going on here though, I had no idea. Though I'd bet it was something related to Tier. It always was.
"Come on, Young man!" My mother called me. "You've been asleep for two days now, you don't want to get fat, do you?"
I blinked. What logic was that? Probably anime logic. And 2 days? Guess that power up hit hard huh. Sighing, I got up and stumbled outside to my mother. I still wasn't used to the additional weight on my back, but it wasn't that different than having a school bag that you wore behind your back. Just imagine it's straps were inside your spine instead of on your shoulders, and you'll probably get what I was feeling right now
Still, as I walked towards my mother, I could feel an explosive Increase in my physical capabilities. I could sense it beneath my feets as I walked, feeling like I could crack the earth with a stomp. I could feel it in the way I moved, like I could break the sound barrier itself if I ran. The sudden increase was probably making me overestimate them, but it truly felt like I was reborn into a stronger, faster, better version of my past self.
I had to do a double take once I reached out though– The entire ground in front of our house was now transformed into a practice field. A dozen straw dummies were standing at a distance away from us, while my mother stood beside a small wooden table with assortments of weapons on it.
"Now, Mikael. Do you remember what I said about the promise your father and I made to each other?" She asked.
I nodded, trying to go through all of the info dump that was sizzling in my brain right now. Honestly? I'd been more focused on how to comfort my mother than on her words in those last few minutes. But I still remembered...
"Something about staying the first eight years with you before I have to go to him?"
"Indeed." She nodded grimly. "That is exactly two years from the day before yesterday. Now, I shall give you two options mikael, and know that whatever you choose, I will always support you."
Looking at the seriousness on her face, I knew it was going to be a heavy subject. And so I nodded back with same seriousness.
"Your first option is the safe one, and the one I prefer. In the two days that you've been asleep, I contacted azazel. He has arranged for us a home, deep in Japan, in a city called kuoh. I will directly teleport us there, and we will spend the next two years safe and sound, living like a family should. Enjoying our lives. Azazel has the resources to shield your aura from escaping in the world, and for two years we will not have to face a single monster again. I will do my utmost to become a true mother, and we will have every opportunity to live our lives as we please. For the next two years, we can live freely. Live truly."
The desperation and hope in her voice told me that she preferred this option, even without her outright saying it. It wasn't a bad life, I had to admit. I enjoyed my mother's company, and if I was going to be taken away from her in two years, then I wanted to spend every moment I could with her.
I nodded slowly, thinking it over.
"The second option is...not a good one, but one I know you will take. And I will not blame you, for it is just as necessary." She sighed despondently. "I will start training you with an unmatched intensity; especially your holy and divine power. We will continue living our life as we are now, but I will start teaching you how to fight...with practical experience. In two years, you will be ready for whatever the Greeks throw at you. And believe me, the greeks will throw everything they can at you."
She looked pained but determined. She knew what I would choose. Well...she shouldn't assume things like this now, should she? While I seriously wanted to slay some monsters, my mother's happiness was just as important. And while the second option was a better one for me, it wasn't for her.
"I have a better plan, mother." I announced.
She raised an eyebrow, and a hesitant smile grew on her face. "Please, enlighten my ears."
"I select the first option." Her eyes widened in surprise, but I quickly raised my hand to let her know I wasn't done. "But instead of teleporting to Japan, we will journey to the place on foot. You can train me in this time, and I'll still be ready for the greeks when the time comes."
Her hesitant smile slowly grew across her face and she nodded enthusiastically. "Very well."
Then a thought entered my mind, which threatened to end my plans in a second. "Wait, where exactly are we right now?"
She looked surprised at the question, before nodding slightly in understanding. "We are at the Cedar forest."
I stared at the woman blankly. "Where?"
"Cedar forest. It is under the jurisdiction of the mesopotamian gods. No one has truly seen them for centuries, no one even knows if they live. But I will not cast any doubts, seeing as how they are the oldest civilization known to man..."
I stared at her just the same, making sure to give her my deluxe blank stare. She quickly grew flustered when she realised I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about.
"We are in northern Iraq." She muttered at last, kicking a small stone in silent tantrum.
"Thank you. For speaking human terms." I replied with a sarcastically grateful bow.
Ah, I'd forgotten how beautiful she looked with her cheeks flaming red.
"Perhaps we should start the training sooner, to prepare you better you see." She stated, an evil glint in her eyes. "In fact, I think it will be even better if we do so now."
Gods fucking damn it. Why did I have to open my big mouth?
For the next few days, my mother taught me to access and manipulate holy power.
The Holy power was one of the most purest form of energies, said to have been originated from god of bible himself. It could be weilded by angels and fallen angels alike, and was particularly harmful against creatures of darkness, including devils, vampires, mythological monsters, youkai etc.
After two days of relentless attempts to weild the power, my system finally came through, creating a skill for it.
[Skill Created: Holy Power Manipulation] (Lvl 1)
My control over it was basic, but by the end of the first week, I was finally able to create a weapon from it; a double edged spear that glowed pure white, just like my wings. It was like holding a glowing L.E.D stick in the form of a spear but that radiated pure power and warmth. It was amazing, and I loved it. Holy spear became my first choice of weapon and after successfully creating it, I barely even touched the wooden spear that I'd been using.
[Skill Created: Holy Weapon Creation] Lvl 1
Especially throwing the holy spear was a lot of fun. It took some practice, but I can skewer a straw dummy in the chest from a 100 yards after the end of that week. Launching it was almost instinctive, the massive strength behind my arms powered the throw and my inhuman dexterity and senses made sure my aim was true. The Holy weapons themselves could be used at any range; Melee, short-range, mid-range, or even long range. It made them ideal choice of weapon in a forest filled with monsters.
After the first week, my mother deemed me good enough to travel. And thus started out journey from the ancient forest of Cedar in northern Iraq, to the kuoh city of Japan.
For the first few days, my mother kept a slow pace, and we barely covered 10 miles per day. After that, we started picking up pace, and mother finally realised I was showing absolutely no sign of fatigue even after we pushed more than 35 miles in a day. The huge power-up has made me superhuman, including my endurance and constitution. I was sure we could've gone much faster, but the monsters attacked us almost daily after my genetic revelation. It was so unnatural, that I'd ended up asking mom about it.
"Demigod's aura starts spreading once they know about themselves, which was the reason I did not reveal the truth before your sixth birthday. Your aura was already attracting monsters, give it a few more days and we might even have to fight dragons."
The monsters didn't give us a break. But this also meant mom was training me very seriously. Though our traveling time was now cut off by a large amount due to monsters and training montages, we made it up by going extra fast, covering over 5 kilometres per hour steadily.
After three weeks of relentless workout, most of my skills had increased. And mother finally let me face my first monster with a promise to not interfere. I've been stealing her kills for the last three weeks, and now it was time to hunt a monster on my own.

I knew this creature, mom had told me countless stories about them. Especially considering she herself was a stray devil now. Just the thought of her becoming a mindless zombie creature like this one was panicking for me. I wanted to go down into hell itself and drag ajuka Beelzebub here to fix this.
Still, the fight was anticlimatic. I launched my holy weapons at the thing as it ran towards me. It had good enough instincts to dodge the first couple of them, but could do nothing when I manipulated the wind around us to hold it in place. It didn't actually work of course, my air manipulation was too low for that, but it did make him stumble. And the next Holy spear was lodged directly in its brain, killing it instantly.

I dismissed the rapid notifs of level ups, instead beaming up at my mother happily.
My mother cheered and clapped for me, and proceeded to throw a huge party; which consisted of boar meat, orange juice and blueberries. She did try to make a cake out of those blueberries, but the attempt had been...less than successful. She was decently proficient in using demonic power, what with 6 years of practice, but a cake was something that she had no idea how to make. She just didn't have a complete enough image in her mind to make the cake.
I, the other hand, got another skill in that same day after trying to copy her. She'd already explained that part to me, on how to use the power of imagination and creation. I accessed the well of energy inside me, the demonic power flowing throughout my body. Then, using my will and imagination, I simply needed to envision the thing I wished to create. See, it might seem simple, but it wasn't. I tried going easy, and create a simple wooden sword. And thus realised, that a 'simple wooden sword' wasn't as simple as it looked. Your imagination needs to be Perfect for you to get the desired item. If I didn't imagine my sword having an appropriate length or width, the sword came out looking like a block of wood. I had to imagine it's shape, form, colour, curves, everything that makes a sword, a sword. It will definitely take some practice. But hey, atleast I got a skill!
[Skill Created: Object Creation] Lvl 1
Noice.
Our journey east was like an adventure that everyone wished they experienced in their life, but knew they never could.
Demonic power was seriously a game breaker. Most of the mundane issues in such a journey like this were instantly solved by a clever use of object creation. You need a place to sleep? Just imagine a comfy tent and bam! Problem solved. You need water to wash yourself? Demonic power got you covered again. Though our immortal bodies should get some credit too. We didn't need a bathroom, cause our bodies never produced waste. We didn't need to bath too much, cause our bodies didn't produce sweat. Brush your teeth? Nah, your angelic mouth's gonna smell fresh and clear everyday.
It was an ideal adventure we all imagine as children. The breathless rush of danger and chill– knowing there's are monsters out there looking for you in the night. The excitement and satisfaction coursing through your veins when you fight and slay the same monsters in the day. A trusty companion at your side that you know will do everything to protect you. No need to worry about the mundane things that usually made your trips a living nightmare. Damp ground? Nah, demonic power's got you covered. Mosquitoes? They're bloodsuckers, not ichor-suckers and whatever the hell angels and devils are made up of.
I dare say: I enjoyed the journey. Especially the time me and my mother spent together, figuring out more uses for demonic power. She knew that devils could cast spells using this stuff, but didn't know how to go about doing it.
Another enjoyable moment we spent together was when she taught me how to fly. The wings weren't just for show, you know. Not surprising huh? Well, it was to me. How can anyone use these precious beauties to do anything but admire them? But still, I didn't complain. Especially not once I finally managed to get in the air.
Flying.. another dream every child dreamt. The absolute freedom to go anywhere you wish, not being bound to the land as you leap to the sky, adding another dimension in your path. The absolutely liberating feeling–I will not be bound, for I'm free! No one can catch me! No laws will bind me! No struggle for money, no emotional crap, just sheer freedom and ecstasy of ascension. I felt it all. I experienced it all. I cherished it all.
And thus I treasured it. Especially the memories of my mother holding me, teaching me to fly slowly as she let go. The soft wind caressing my face, the currents of electricity sparkling in my golden blonde hair that I'd inherited from my mother.
I loved it.
And of course, I also loved the skill it gave me.
[Skill Created: Flying] Lvl 1
Except flying, I also learned to use my divine side of skills. Namely;
Electric Discharge (Lvl 1)– which came from my lightning manipulation. I could now coat my wooden spear in electricity, shocking my enemies.
Wind Manipulation (Lvl 1)– This was just a subset of air manipulation. I just willed the air to flow faster and it became wind. But it did took a few seconds of concentration to turn air into wind. This skill however, enabled me to directly produce gusts of wind. My control was still barely enough to launch the wind through a one foot tunnel, blow away a few leaves from trees. After which it became wild and out of control, spreading back in the surrounding.
Still, it was weirdly satisfying in just using your powers for mundane things. The food is too hot? Here, I'll use my godly abilities to blow it cool. Even though using my own lips would've been better, the simple fact that I can actually use these cool abilities could never get old.
My training and slaying continued. For a month whole, I killed wild animals and weaker monsters, including low-class stray devils. At the end of our second month in the journey, we came across a herd of bull-men, with muscular bodies and heads of bulls. My mother informed me they were a herd of minotaurs.
Needless to say, I was quite surprised.
"But I thought there was only one minotaur? The Minotaur." I asked my mother, confused.
"They are different entities, Mikael. The one you speak of was the greek Minotaur that was trapped in the labyrinth, only to be slain by the hero Perseus. It was not the last time he was slain by a hero, neither will it be stopped by it's constant deaths at the hand of other Demigods. These minotaurs however, have no form of immortality. They do not disperse to tartarus, but instead die like mundane creatures. They are his subspecies, that wanders the world in herds like mundane cows. Be wary still, for they are carnivorous creatures and will not hesitate to attack you."
I used my observe of them as mum finished her explanation.

The herd of bulls seemed to have sensed my presence, even though we were scouting them from the sky.
Damn the curse.
I wanted to fight them, and tried to convince my mum to let me handle them alongside her. Up to no effect it seemed. My mother won't deny my any request...unless it posed a threat to my life. Then she showed me how strong her Will really was.
But I still persisted. And after a lot of begging and pleading, my mother let me fight the alpha. But only after she decimated the rest of the herd running towards us.
After that came my match. And I was excited...for the first few minutes of fight. Afterwards it became boring.
In the end, it wasn't much of a fight at all.
The only way the alpha minotaur could pose a threat to me was if he got anywhere close to me, cause he was way superior to me physically. He could probably crunch my bones into powder if I ever got in his grasp. But melee had never been my intention. I'd already mastered my holy spear throwing when in the air, and so I relentlessly peppered the thing. He was dexterous enough to dodge a full volley of my spears but with a skillful use of wind manipulation, a single holy spear went straight through his shoulder, crippling him, and another through the chest made sure he'll stay stuck to the ground. I then rained a volley of spears, ripping into his head and throat before finally putting him down for good.

It wasn't really a fight, but more like a hunt. Perhaps if the beast had been smarter, It could've thrown stones at me. Considering its massive strength, it could've probably hurled some small boulders too.
What a disappointment.
I still got the levels though, and that's all that matters
AN: Next up is the first true fight of our protagonist, and boy am I excited to show it. It's gonna be epic, trust me.
I'll probably pump out another chapter today itself if people like this chapter. So plss review and let me know your thoughts. I actually hadn't realised how moralising it is to see just a couple of reviews, so the more the better.
Zeus Ex: Will this be a big harem?
There wil definitely be more than 1 woman (he's a freakin god in dxd world) though the exact number depends on all of your responses. The thing I've planned (and written already) for the first few years of his puberty was for a more realistic path where the mc is very sexually active in the form of one-night stands, kinda like Zeus. He takes after his father in more ways than he realises (no rape, don't worry). Any meaningful relationships will only happen after he's controlled his lustful side a little.
Bearticguy7: Hera does know he's the son of Zeus and I've already plotted a nice arc for their confrontation, hope you'll like it. As for epic fights, you're gonna love the next chapter (I hope).
Thanks for the support guys, pls keep it coming and don't forget to review!
