Summary: After rescuing a little girl named Eri from the alleged leader of a Yakuza faction, Bryant decides to take her to UA not far from his place so she will almost be guaranteed safe. Meanwhile he is harassed by the Yakuza and wondering if a life as student at UA would be good for him in the long run for a career with his new powers.
Guess: This time guess which one of the 9 aliens after the original 10 were my favorites.
Also, it's my birthday so I thought I'd give people a present to read. Let me know what you think so far.
"Okay Eri, here we are. This place has got tighter security than a nun's…er, never mind". Taking her to the gate he speaks into an intercom, "Ahem, is anyone on the other side"? A peppy voice answers, "Why hello there, what brings you to UA"? Bryant explains, "I have this girl with unspecified powers and was hoping you could take her in. She was captured by some Yakuza leader or something like that and I don't feel safe brining her to an orphanage so I thought you could protect her and maybe give her an education". The person takes a moment, and the security camera zooms in on them, "Hmm, well I don't usually do this but alright, I'll make an exception. I will meet you on the other side of the gate". Opening up said gate stands a kind of rat person wearing a suit and alongside him a woman wearing a kind of spacesuit, "Nice to see you in person, my name is Principal Nezu". He looks to Eri then him, "So this is the little girl who will be joining us"? Allen nods, "Correct". Nezu looks to the woman next to him, "13, if you would be so kind as to please bring our new 'student' to my office. I'd like a word with this young man". Bryant waves goodbye to Eri, "I'll see you again". Nezu gets his attention next, "You, what's your name"? He responds, "Bryant Allen". Continuing, "You wouldn't happen to have any quirks would you"? Bryant holds up his watch, "Well, I do have this". Nezu looks closely, seemingly studying it, "It's not really a 'quirk' but it does grant me powers. Why"? Nezu smiles, "I'd be wondering if you would like to apply. How old are you exactly"? He sates, "17, almost 18". The rat man nods, "I see. Well, if you're interested, we're always looking for more students. You bringing that little girl here was a rather heroic thing to do. Would that kind of thing interest you"? Bryant explains his situation, "Well, having a career in heroism would be beneficial but I don't know. I don't even live with my parents anymore. What would it take exactly"? Nezu pulls out some forms from his pocket, "Here. Some applications. If you decide to fill them out, we can see you on Monday for the entrance exam". Putting them into his pocket Bryant thinks on it, "Alright, I might just do that". Before turning Nezu hold out his hand for a shake, "Hope to see you there". Shaking his hand, the watch announces as per usual, 'mutagen acquired, alien form unlocked'. It gets Nezu's attention, "What does your device mean by that"? He gives the rundown, "Basically anyone I touch, or maybe specific people with certain powers give me access to their own in some way I think. I've got like 4 now counting you". Nezu is curious, "Would you mind giving me the pleasure of a demonstration"? Bryant hesitates, "I don't know, it kind of aches when I do it". Nezu relents, "Oh, well in that case it's perfectly fine".
Waving to the rat man Bryant takes out the admission documents, "Well, I guess it couldn't hurt". For the rest of the Saturday, he writes down everything that needs to be known, being as vague as he can. But meanwhile however, Kai Chisaki calls on his own personal crew, known as the Eight Bullets. One in a plague doctor mask asks why he called them, "It's as simple as this. The girl got away and we need her back. She is the KEY ingredient to Trigger. Without her not only will we lose funds but also the quirk destroying bullets". He turns to look them in the eyes, "Do I make myself clear on this, we NEED the girl back". He then shows them a photo of Bryant, "This is the target. Find him and get him to say where the girl is. You can kill him after you get the information but otherwise, he needs to be alive. But be wary, he has a powerful quirk to freeze time". Sunday arrives and with the documents filled out, Bryant has the rest of the day to rest, or so he would think. Hearing a doorbell, he goes to answer it but wisely looks through the peephole first. Outside his door he sees a man wearing a surgical mask, "Um, who is it", he asks cautiously. Before he can get an answer, he locks the door, but it doesn't really help as the next thing to happen is the man kicking down the door. The man takes him by the throat and tosses him onto his couch, "I'm only going to ask once. Where is the girl", he demands. Allen reaches for his watch, "Not here". Suddenly the bald man grows diamonds all over his arms and atop his head and back. Cycling fast through the selections he takes the bat-eared one, "Hope this guy's good". Bryant's body grows snake like eyes all over his body except where they should be, including his chest and the palms of his hands, while the watch moves to his waist. Secondly, he gains the two big bat ears present on the silhouette and claws on his hands and feet. "Okay Agent 47, it's my turn. Let's see what these big eyes do". Stretching out his arm a green energy beam blasts his diamond covered arm, but it bounces off and hits through a wall instead, "Shit, let me try again". Using the other arm, he fires another beam as the bald man walks towards him, this time electricity. That too fails, "Okay, maybe another"? Using an eye on his shoulder he shoots fire. The man shields himself and it seems to irritate his skin but otherwise he seems fine. "One more try, I've got to have something". Using his chest eye he blasts the crook with a freeze beam, encasing him in ice. "Phew", he sighs in temporary relief. But about 10 seconds later he breaks out, "You're going to need to do better than that, "He taunts". Unfortunately, the watch beeps and Bryant is turned back to himself, so he does the logical thing and runs. As the guy attempts to stab him, he runs by and out the door into the streets, but he gives chase. Ducking into an alley, Allen decides to sneak a touch as the would-be killer walks by, but the watch announces that his 'mutagen acquired, aliens forms unlocked', which is good and bad. With the watch recharged he noticed it said forms, meaning more than one this time.
Cycling through for a second chance while still being chased, Bryant finds two new silhouettes, one skinny, and one bulky figure with crystals growing out of their backs. Before he can hit the face though the silhouette switches to a figure with an odd shaped head with a dent in the middle. His hands grow bigger but lose a digit, his head becomes dented and his pupils become goat like. But unfortunately, he shrinks too to about the height of a person palm and naturally his voice shrinks too. "Uh oh! I wanted the new guy, not some miniscule Anura". The bad guy laughs evilly, "I just need to step on you and my work would be done. But instead…". He picks him up like an action figure, "…I'll squeeze you for the information". Struggling, Bryant tries to bite his arm, but the diamonds prevent it. But just as it seems hope is lost, he hears an overconfident voice, "Yo, Diamondhead! How about you pick on someone your own size"? A rabbit foot smashes the top of the bald guy's head and slams him into the concrete, while Allen falls to the asphalt, "OW". Looking up he grins, "Rumi Usagiyama. Thank God". The bald guy, now named as Yu Hojo, picks himself up and tries to swipe at Rumi but she just keeps jumping circles around him, "You're not gonna get anywhere with just brute strength", she laughs before delivering another foot to the face. Yu seems to wise up and just watch her to see where she'll strike next. Sure enough when she tries again he manages to block it with his arms, disorienting her for a moment before grabbing her by the leg and tossing her into a building. Wondering what his power is, Bryant thinks…and that's it. "Oh, smarts. That's good". He hides behind a pipe on the ground and peeks up at Yu to examine him, "Okay, he didn't like the fire. It irritates his skin. So, if I can find a hot enough heat source, I should be able to knock him down a peg. But where…that guy, Multiclops I guess I'll call him. He had a fire beam, so maybe it I can somehow turn back into myself I'll have some juice to turn into him again. Now, where's the watch"? Looking around he can't see it until it gets him, "It's on my back, isn't it"? Realizing he can't touch it from there he runs over to Rumi as fast as he can but without getting detected luckily. Rumi pulls herself out of the wall, "HEY, down here", he shouts. She picks him up, "Yeah? I'm kind of in the middle of something. You should just get out of here already". He tries to explain, "I have a plan. I need you to touch the symbol on my back". She gives him an odd look, "Why"? He sighs, "There's no time, please". She rolls her eyes and does such, turning him to normal. She looks surprised, "You're just a normal kid"? He looks to his watch and as guessed it's still green, "Yes. Thanks Mirko. Look, I'm not a Pro obviously but let me help you take him out". She shakes her head, "No way kid, I do things alone". He sighs, "Just let me help, he attacked ME. Just support is all, you can be the one to take him out for all I care". She reluctantly agrees, "Better be a good plan then". Turning back into Multiclops, Yu confronts the two of them again, "Alright Baldy, eat fire", Bryant shouts. Using his palm eye, he does so but realizing it doesn't do much he gets the idea to use all of them at once. Shielding himself with his arms the flames weaken Yu as he visibly looks a bit scorched by this point, and while distracted, Rumi jumps up and does a massive kick to his face, leaving him out for the count. Just in time, the watch turns Bryant back and Rumi actually seems pleased, "I have to admit, not bad kid". He smiles, "Thanks. So, I won't be charged for vigilantism, right"? She winks, "Fine by me, I'm no tool". She wips out her cell phone, "I'll call the cops to take him in. If I'm right, this was one of the Eight Bullets. So maybe a bonus for me". Allen asks, "Who are they"? She explains, "I branch of the Shie Hassaikai that work for Kai Chisaki personally. Which means, if they were after you kid, you might be in deep trouble".
