(Ember and Alain points at the screen as it zooms out. Mightyena, Shula, Sceptile, Percy and Tesla come running out a cloud of smoke behind Ember and Alain. Tesla launches a Thunderbolt attack and it hits a forest causing smoke everywhere)

Walking down this endless highway

(Ember, Alain and Tesla are running across a grassy field towards the rising sun)

With nothing but my friends beside me

(Brock is prancing around a bunch of colorful cutouts of women with hearts in his eyes as he carries a boutique of flowers. He kneels down in front of a red one. The cutout flips to reveal Munchlax who chomps on the flowers. Brock cries. May and Max shrug.)

We'll never give in, we'll never rest

(May throws a Pokéball. Drew and Harley are split behind her. Munchlax, Combusken, and Squirtle run across the screen. Combusken stops and Squirtle launches a Water Gun attack at Combusken.)

Advanced Battle is the ultimate test

(Groudon launches an attack. Kyogre rises up from the sea. Mew flies by. Suicune, Raikou, and Entei jump on the stone columns as they're being hit. Latias and Latios fly besides them. Rayquaza flies out from the smoke)

From the earth, the land
The sea and sky

(Grass, Psychic, Ice, and Normal type Pokémon are playing around a forest. Celebi flies by. Water Pokémon are swimming in the ocean with some Flying type Pokémon flying over them. Fire, Flying, Ground, Electric and Dark type Pokémon are running across the fields.)

They can never win, but they sure can try

(Tesla slams into Registeel. Percy slams into Regice. Regirock launches a Thunderbolt attack and it misses Ember and Alain. Ember and Alain salutes with two fingers as they smile)

(Jessie, James, Wobbuffet, Dustox, Meowth, Seviper, Cacnea, Chimecho and Mime Jr. dance in sync. Weavile passes by them which surprises them)

("My New Life As" pans to the left side of the screen. "A Pokémon Trainer" to the right side)

(Mimey, Delia, Prof. Oak, Prof. Birch, Tracey, and Misty with her Azurill appear)

(Ember, Alain and Tesla are standing on top of a ruin and camera zooms out as they look towards the sky. Deoxy flies past them.)

From the stars and the ancient past

(Deoxy flies with Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Ho-Oh flies past them.)

They come to play, but they'll never last

(The silhouette of Lucy appears followed by Tucker and then Spenser)

(Noland and the silhouettes of the other Battle Frontier Brains appear with the Battle Frontier Symbol behind them. Ember and Alain are in facing against them.)

(Team Rocket is digging a tunnel. Then they're running away from a pack of Aron and Lairon who are chasing them.)

(Sebastian uses Bubblebeam. Tantor unrolls himself. Sceptile uses Leaf Blade. Percy uses Aerial Ace. Ember, Alain and Tesla jump high in the air as Ember punches her fist in the air.)

While on the way to Saffron City, the gang had come to a forest. Here May planned to try and catch more Pokémon for the Kanto contests.

"What sort of Pokémon do you want to capture, May?" Brock asked.

May was reading a Pokémon book about Pokémon you can find in Kanto. "I've been thinking about it," she said, "and I want to catch a Butterfree because they are so beautiful and cute like Beautifly."

"Then you will have to search for Caterpie. That's the best way to get a Butterfree." Ember advised.

Ember remembered the time when her Butterfree evolved from Caterpie and Metapod.

Suddenly a person the gang didn't expect to see ran past them; it was Drew.

"What's Drew doing here?" May gasped.

"He must be here to participate in the Pokémon contests." Ember said.

"Drew certainly seemed to be in a hurry." Brock commented.

"I wonder what's up." Alain pondered.

"Let's go find out." Ember decided.

The gang caught up to Drew.

"Drew!" May called out.

Drew was surprised to see May again.

"Hey Ember, I saw you win the Cerulean ribbon on TV." Drew said.

"You won any ribbons yet?" Ember asked.

"Only one, but I'm just beginning." Drew replied.

"So what were you running in a hurry for, Drew?" May asked.

"Haven't you heard?" Drew asked, "a shiny Zangoose and a pair of shiny Arcanine are lurking about in these parts."

"You're kidding right?!" Max gasped.

"Nope and I plan to capture them for myself," Drew confirmed, "See you later!" And he left.

"Why don't we go and look for these shiny Pokémon too?" Max suggested, "I've never seen a shiny Arcanine or shiny Zangoose before!"

The others agreed.

"We better split to search for the shiny Arcanine's and Zangoose," Brock suggested, "because we have no idea where they might be."

So the gang split up to find the two shiny Pokémon; Brock with May, Max with Ember and Alain went off alone.

Ember, Alain, Max and Tesla were searching for the shiny Pokémon together.

"See anything, Tesla?" Ember asked.

Tesla was up a tree looking to see if she could see the shiny Pokémon, but she didn't see anything yet.

"How about using your aura, Ember?" Max suggested.

"It would be a good time to practice it, right?" Alain added.

"Good idea." Ember agreed.

Ember closed her eyes and thought in her mind that she needed to find the shiny Arcanine's and Zangoose. Just then the aura appeared in Ember's eyes and then Ember saw where they were. Ember opened her eyes.

"Let's go." She said.

Tesla jumped off the tree and she, Ember, Alain and Max ran over to the direction where the Arcanine's and Zangoose were.

Ember, Alain, Tesla and Max ran over to where the Arcanine's and Zangoose were supposed to be.

"We must be quiet now or we might scare them away." Ember advised.

Ember, Alain and Max quietly walked through the trees, taking care not to make any noise. A minute later, they found the shiny Zangoose and two Arcanine's. They were shiny all right; the two Arcanine's body was a golden yellow color and Zangoose had blue stripes and red claws.

"Wow, shiny Pokémon look magnificent." Max whispered.

Suddenly the Arcanine's and Zangoose got caught in a net. It was Team Rocket in their balloon.

"Success!" Jessie cheered.

"These Pokémon will defiantly fetch a good price." James grinned.

The two Arcanine's and Zangoose were about to try to escape the net, but the net zapped them; it was an electrical net.

"Drop those Pokémon, Team Rocket!" Ember shouted.

"Yeah, we're not letting you claim them as Team Rocket's Pokémon!" Max shouted.

"Too late twerps!" Jessie taunted.

"Go Cacnea!" James released Cacnea, only for it to turn around and launched itself onto James, "Attack the twerps, not me!"

"Tesla, use Swift on the net!" The tip of Tesla's tail glowed yellow and launched multiple stars at the net and the Arcanine's and Zangoose were free.

"Are you three all right?" Max asked, worriedly.

The three Pokémon nodded. Letting them know that they were okay; the electric net didn't harm them much.

"Tesla, Thunder Shock!"

"Slowking, Water Gun!"

"Eevee, Shadow Ball!"

Ember, Alain and Max released their Pokémon, and they all launched their attacks at Team Rocket's balloon which got a direct hit and exploded, sending them further into the sky.

"So much for that capture." Meowth complained.

"We were so close!" Jessie growled.

"Yet we'll always so far." James added.

The trio sighed in defeat.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They shouted before they disappeared across the sky.

DING!

Then the two Arcanine's and Zangoose walked over Ember, Alain and Max. The two Arcanine's nuzzled against Ember and Alain while the Zangoose hugged Max. The three knew that the Pokémon were thanking them.

"You're welcome." Ember smiled as she petted the shiny Arcanine.

"Hey Zangoose, if it's not too much to ask, would you like to join my team?" Max asked.

Zangoose stared at Max for a moment and nodded with a smile.

"Arcanine, would you like to come with me and Alain?" Ember asked.

The two shiny Arcanine's smiled at Ember and Alain.

Max smiled as he took out an empty Pokéball. Ember and Alain also took out an empty. The shiny Zangoose tapped the button and was sucked inside. Both Arcanine tapped their snouts on Ember and Alain's Pokéball and were soon sucked inside. The Pokéballs did their normal shaking and they both went ding. The captures were successful.

"Wow," Max awed, happily, "Not only have I got my own Zangoose, but I have my own shiny Pokémon too."

"And Alain and I have our own shiny Arcanine." Ember smiled.

At that moment Brock, May and Drew turned up.

"We saw the explosion." Brock said.

"What happened?" May asked.

Ember, Alain, and Max explained what had happened.

"Sorry Drew, but Max, Alain and I captured the shiny Arcanine's and Zangoose first." Ember apologized.

"Ah never mind then," Drew said, "I'll just catch something else here in Kanto."

Ember knew that even though Drew acted proud; he was still a good sport.

"Oh, I also caught a shiny Caterpie." May beamed.

"Really?!" Max and Drew exclaimed.

"Yup, I can't wait for it to evolve into Butterfree." May squealed.

"I guess you can't catch 'em all." Alain shrugged.

"I guess so." Drew agreed as he rubbed the back of his head.

So a lot happened today and after the Pokémon capturing was over with, the gang decided to move on to Saffron City.
