(Ember and Alain points at the screen as it zooms out. Mightyena, Shula, Sceptile, Percy and Tesla come running out a cloud of smoke behind Ember and Alain. Tesla launches a Thunderbolt attack, and it hits a forest causing smoke everywhere)
Walking down this endless highway
(Ember, Alain and Tesla are running across a grassy field towards the rising sun)
With nothing but my friends beside me
(Brock is prancing around a bunch of colorful cutouts of women with hearts in his eyes as he carries a boutique of flowers. He kneels down in front of a red one. The cutout flips to reveal Munchlax who chomps on the flowers. Brock cries. May and Max shrug.)
We'll never give in, we'll never rest
(May throws a Pokéball. Drew and Harley are split behind her. Munchlax, Combusken, and Squirtle run across the screen. Combusken stops and Squirtle launches a Water Gun attack at Combusken.)
Advanced Battle is the ultimate test
(Groudon launches an attack. Kyogre rises up from the sea. Mew flies by. Suicune, Raikou, and Entei jump on the stone columns as they're being hit. Latias and Latios fly besides them. Rayquaza flies out from the smoke)
From the earth, the land
The sea and sky
(Grass, Psychic, Ice, and Normal type Pokémon are playing around a forest. Celebi flies by. Water Pokémon are swimming in the ocean with some Flying type Pokémon flying over them. Fire, Flying, Ground, Electric and Dark type Pokémon are running across the fields.)
They can never win, but they sure can try
(Tesla slams into Registeel. Percy slams into Regice. Regirock launches a Thunderbolt attack and it misses Ember and Alain. Ember and Alain salutes with two fingers as they smile)

(Jessie, James, Wobbuffet, Dustox, Meowth, Seviper, Cacnea, Chimecho and Mime Jr. dance in sync. Weavile passes by them which surprises them)

(Deoxy flies with Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Ho-Oh flies past them.)

(The silhouette of Lucy appears followed by Tucker and then Spenser)

(Team Rocket is digging a tunnel. Then they're running away from a pack of Aron and Lairon who are chasing them.)

(Sebastian uses Bubblebeam. Tantor unrolls himself. Sceptile uses Leaf Blade. Percy uses Aerial Ace. Ember, Alain and Tesla jump high in the air as Ember punches her fist in the air.)

The gang was finally at Silver Town and Ember and May were getting ready for the contest. May decided to use Squirtle for the appeal rounds and Combusken for the battle rounds. Ember decided to use Lupa (Midday Form Lycanroc) for the appeal rounds and Nariko (Alolan Raichu) for the battle rounds. Ember was looking up something on her Rotom phone.
"What's up, Ember?" Alain asked.
"Well there is a Pokémon contest coming up in Lavender Town. So, I'm trying to figure where we should go after this contest is done." Ember informed.
The next battle facility, the Battle Dome, was near Lavender Town but Ember wanted to check when the Lavender contest would be held.
"Okay we'll head to Lavender Town first for the Pokémon contest and then head over for the Battle Dome." Ember decided.
The others liked the idea.
It was soon time for the Silver Town contest. Lilian did the usual introductions and showed off the Silver Town ribbon. The ribbon had two blue ribbons with a white outline dangling from the pin. May, Ember and the other coordinators were ready for the contest to start.
Suddenly a man, wearing a smart business suit, came running in, "Sorry, I hope I'm not too late for the contest!" he apologized.
Ember remembered this man. The man's name was Jeremy, and he was a salaryman and a contestant in the contest.
Ember and May were surprised to know that a salaryman was participating. Alain, Brock and Max were surprised too.
"Do you think that man will be okay?" Max asked, worriedly, "he didn't look like the type of man that would enter a contest to me."
"Well, we must never judge appearances," Brock advised, "so we'll just see what he can do."
The appeal rounds were soon on the way. There was a Bellossom, an Exeggutor and a Farfetch'd. May was next and she called out Squirtle. As soon as Squirtle came out of his Pokéball he did Ice Beam while spinning, which created a rain of sparkles as he landed on the stage. The audience liked it. Then Squirtle did Bubble and created lots of little bubbles and a big bubble. To finish it off Squirtle did Ice Beam which burst all of the small bubbles and it did burst the big bubble, but it created an ice sculpture after the bubble burst. Then Squirtle landed on the ice sculpture to finish.
Ember came up next and she released Lupa.
"Lupa, Stone Edge and then jumped on top!" Lupa summoned a bunch of rocks from the ground and Lupa leaped onto the middle one
"Use Rock Throw!" Lupa releases circular multi-colored waves from its body, white orbs of aura appear in front of itself, before rocks form inside the orbs, leaving a white glow around the rocks. It then shoots the rocks in the air.
"Now Swift!" Lupa summoned a bunch of stars from her tail and slashed her tail towards the rocks which broke the rocks into pieces. The sparkles of the Rock Throw and Swift attack sprinkle on her. The judges were impressed by this.
Then came Jeremy, but he was wearing a rock star sort of outfit; black leather jacket and black trousers, a pair of shades and a pair of black gloves. He called out a Butterfree and he told it to use Stun Spore and Poison Powder. It created a wave of purple and orange pollen. Then he told Butterfree to use Safeguard. The light from Butterfree's safeguard made the orange and purple pollen light up like the northern lights. Everyone was amazed with Jeremy's performance.
"It looks like we have a tough rival on our hands today, May." Ember commented.
"I agree." May agreed.
Suddenly a woman and a boy came up to the stage.
"Stop it!" The woman shouted, "this has gone on long enough!"
Ember recalled that the woman's name was Mandy and the boy's name was Nicolas and they were Jeremy's wife and son. Mandy and Nicolas were not happy with what Jeremy was doing; they thought he was being childish being in a Pokémon contest. Jeremy tried to reason with them, saying that he has wanted to enter a Pokémon contest for ages. Mandy still didn't take his words and ordered Jeremy to just come home at once. Ember and May thought Mandy and Nicolas were being unfair and decided to help.
"Wait a minute!" Ember interrupted.
"Let Jeremy finish this contest!" May pleaded.
"Don't interfere you two, this is a family thing." Mandy ordered.
"May and I are Pokémon coordinators, and we understand Jeremy's desire to enter a Pokémon contest." Ember stated.
"That's right," May agreed and turned to Jeremy, "Jeremy, you should continue being in this contest, otherwise you will be just miserable later on."
Jeremy stared at Ember and May, "You two are right." He turned to his wife and son, "I'm going to continue being in today's contest."
"We want to see him compete as well." Lilian added.
The judges and the audience wanted Jeremy to continue too. Mandy saw that she was outnumbered and couldn't stop Jeremy.
Mandy sighed in defeat, "Alright. You may continue."
So Jeremy continued participating in the contest and he got to the battle rounds with Ember, May and another coordinator. Ember had to face the other coordinator and May had to face Jeremy. Ember easily defeated her opponent's Exeggutor with Nariko's powerful Thunder Shock.
Now it was time for May and Jeremy to fight. Jeremy called out his Venasaur and May called out her Combusken. Ember was in the waiting room while the others were sitting in the seats.
"May's going to have it tough here," Alain commented, "Jeremy's Venasaur is no push over."
"I agree Alain," Brock agreed.
Jeremy started things off with having his Venasaur use Razor Leaf. May ordered her Combusken to use flamethrower. The flamethrower burned through the leaves but as it was about to hit Venasaur, Venasaur broke the flamethrower apart with Vine Whip. Everyone was surprised with that.
"I don't know how long Jeremy has had that Venasaur, but he has trained it very well." Alain commented.
"Yeah, and I fear May might not win this one." Max admitted.
Jeremy made his move; he told Venasaur to use Frenzy Plant. Venasaur made lots of spikey roots come out of the ground and one of them struck Combusken. May was in trouble now; she was losing more and more points.
"May, take a look at Venasaur!" Max called out.
May looked at Venasaur and saw it was tired now; after using frenzy plant the user has to recharge.
"Okay Combusken move in with Quick Attack!" Combusken charged at Venasaur with Quick Attack and then he started pecking Venasaur.
"Venasaur, use Frenzy Plant!" Jeremy ordered.
Combusken got hit again by the spikey roots, but he managed to strike Venasaur with sky uppercut. Venasaur got defeated by that attack, and Jeremy lost.
So May was going up against Ember next.
Ember and May were excited to battle against one another.
"You ready, May?" Ember called out.
"Ready!" May called back.
Then the battle began.
May called out Squirtle while Ember called out Nariko.
"Squirtle, use Water Gun!" Squirtle shot a stream of water towards Nariko.
"Psychic, Nariko!" Nariko's eyes glowed blue and the water stopped right in front of Nariko. The water transformed into the shape of Articuno.
The judges and the audience were impressed by it. However, May lost points because of that.
"Quick, use Ice Beam!" Squirtle used Ice Beam to try and freeze the water Articuno.
"Dodge!" The water Articuno dodged the Ice Beam attack. At the same time, May was losing points. Then finally Articuno was frozen.
"Electro Ball!" Nariko's body becomes surrounded in yellow electricity and multiple yellow sparks come off Nariko's body. All the electricity then condenses at Nariko's tail and forms into an orange-yellow orb of electricity with sparks of yellow electricity. She flings the ball towards the ice Articuno, breaking it into pieces, causing sparkles to come down.
However, that caused Ember and May to lose points. Suddenly, the time was up. The one who had the most was Ember which made her the winner.
Ember was the winner of the Silver Town ribbon. She was presented with the Silver Ribbon.
"Another great performance, Ember." Mr. Contesta stated.
"Thank you, sir." Ember thanked him. She was happy to have earned her second Kanto ribbon.
The gang came across Jeremy who was talking with his family.
"Nice work, dad." Nicolas complimented his dad.
"I'll make something really special tonight." Mandy decided.
"Huh?" Jeremy asked.
"For Butterfree and Venusaur of course." Mandy added.
Jeremy chuckled, "I'm sure they will love it. By the way, thank you for letting me continue the contest. I had a great time."
"You're welcome, dear." Mandy said.
"Hey, can you and Venusaur show me a few moves too, dad?" Nicolas offered.
"I'd be happy to." Jeremy accepted.
Then the family headed home. The gang was happy that all went well for Jeremy and his family. So Ember now had two Kanto ribbons.
