Summary: Bryant's time in the Downpour Zone is a mixed bag as he manages to find a couple of the students but a few villains too. How will he handle it all?
Notes: Some anonymous person gave me simple tips. Of course he had to be an asshole about it, but whatever. So I guess at least for this chapter I'll try the 5 line thing and see how it goes. Let me know what you guys think.
Heading for the Downpour Zone, Bryant heads through the door and is immediately smacked in the face with a large amount of artificial rain. Shutting the door behind him, the cityscape looks the exact same as where the Entrance Exam and Battle Trials took place, but of course with the rain. His first step of business is to see if he can find any students inside the area, both for company and backup if he comes across any villains. The water is unrelenting, with drains all over the sidewalks to presumably recycle the same water over and over again. It doesn't take long before a villain shows up; another aquatic type that looks like King Shark.
The monster tries to take a bite out of him but he narrowly dodges out of the way. "Okay, time for some shark fin soup". Getting out the watch he transforms into Fish Freak. The simulated breeze picks up as they battle, flinging the rain back and forth past their faces, it actually feeling good for Bryant. The shark villain slashes him across the chest, and getting the smell of blood his eyes dilate, sending him into a berserk rage. Using his own sharp claws, Bryant slides underneath him as he swipes his claw and leaps onto his back, sinking his huge jaws into the villains' back, "Mmm, tasty".
The villain roars in pain and shakes sporadically, trying to shake him off. He shoves his claws deep into his slippery skin to hold on but the force is too much and he's knocked off. Flung into the ground, the villain lunges at him, his mouth wide open but he takes a piece of loose asphalt and shoves it down his throat, buying him a second to turns himself back and look for another form. "Here it goes"; he picks the one he got from the fish man. His skin is replaced with a red exoskeleton armor, his feet morph into boots, while his arms are lined with the same armor, ending into sharps claws. He gains three holes along each of his shoulders with front, back and on top and his palms gain holes bigger than the shoulder ones that can be open or closed. Lastly his mouth becomes like a crabs mandibles, minus the pincers and an armored hood folds over the top of his head like protection, and even a retractable visor similar to Lightning's slides down.
He looks at his hands, "Holes in my hands. So, if I aim these at him and…". Out blasts powerful pressurized streams of water from both, causing the villain to stumble back but he is too big to knock over. "Time to turn the tides in my favor". Bryant ejects some water from both arms and then closes off the holes, holding onto the water streams like they were solid. He starts lashing at the shark man with his water whips, cutting him even through the thick skin. Looking at his surroundings he then wraps one around a street lamp and has it fall on top of the bad guy. "Whip it good, you overgrown chunk of cartilage".
The villain throws it off and skulks towards him again. Tossing the whips to the ground he aims his water holes at him but before he can shoot it off he is knocked into the ground, the shark man ready to chomp on him. Sinking his teeth into Bryant, the exoskeleton protects him but begins to crack. Looking at his shoulder holes he releases burning water at the villain, making him lose his grip. Standing right back up he blasts at him with the shoulder and arm holes with boiling water, "*Screech*". The shark man runs away, "Get back here you sorry fuck! Afraid of a little water"!?
His watch times out, and he hears footsteps. "Hello", he asks a bit scared since he's more or less alone in this dark landscape. He looks to the ground and sees imprints of feet in the water, "Okay, ghost or not you aren't going to screw with me". Following the steps as they circle around him he puts his leg out, tripping the 'thing' and jumping on top of it. "Okay, okay. Sorry for being quiet, I was just trying to find other students. I found you though so I guess I succeeded", says a girl's voice. He holds down the invisible figure with his arms and the watch proves it's not a ghost, 'mutagen acquired, alien form unlocked'.
He then feels something squishy, warm and soft as he goes to stand up, "Um, are you, naked"? She screams, "YES, now please don't touch there". He remembers her, "You're that walking piece of clothing right? Toru Hagakure. Must really suck having to get naked just for complete invisibility. Hell, it's raining cold water, you'll get hypothermia". She admits, "Yeah, it blows but it's the downside to my quirk". He looks around, "Where did you put your clothes"? She forgets exactly where, "Uh, over there? No, um, I think under that bench"? He tosses them to her, "So why'd you mess with me like that"? She explains, "All I saw was a fish man and an armored mollusk, I don't know all your forms. I'm sorry, really. But anyways, I lost the others when we were all teleported by that mist guy.
"Look, you should get out of here, get to the entrance for safety. I'll, stay here and look for anyone else, hopefully find that shark guy again". She refuses, "Nah, I want to help. I'm a Hero too, I can be useful as a partner". He again says no, "I just don't want you to get hurt, it's as simple as that. Go". She sighs, "Fine". Toru puts on her few clothes she has for her hero costume and walks away. While walking he decides to name the aliens he has used already, "So, I'll call the skyscraper sized guy 'Mass', and the water guy, 'Tidal'. Yeah, sounds good. Maybe I'll start saying their names when I transform"?
He then bumps into a villain standing in his way, wearing a top hat, mask and yellow trench coat, "Hey there. I noticed you take down Sharkyonara. Not bad for a student". He backs up the compliment, "Yeah, well believe it or not I've taken down Muscular and one of the Eight Bullets, with help. I would've gotten that shark guy too if he wasn't such a pussy". He chuckles, "Yeah, well you know, he's just a lower class villain. Can't even breath underwater without gear despite looking like that. Pathetic really. So on another note, you must've been that big dinosaur if you claim to have beaten Muscular".
He introduces himself, "I am am the great great grandson of the Peerless Thief. Perhaps you've heard of him? You may call me, Mr. Compress". He takes a bow with his cane and tips his hat, "But enough formalities. I respect your accomplishments, so I'll make you a deal. You tell me where All Might is hiding and I'll let you go". Bryant smirks, "What if I told I had no idea where he is honestly"? He shakes his head, "Well I'm afraid I'd have no use for you and you'd have to either die or join my 'collection'. So, what'll it be"? Bryant presses the bottom button on his watch and cycles to the rock humanoid, "I guess I'll just have to fight you".
Pressing in the faceplate his size increases to about 7ft. His skin becomes solid rock and his chest receives a big hole in it filled with a core of lava. His bones crack and rearrange as his arms and legs grow. His head becomes about half his body leaving only a little room for him to even have a chest. Lastly, his face expands into a large blank, golem like stone face with no expression and no movable lips, just a straight line and two hollowed out eyes. Despite his mouth not moving, like Tidal, he can speak.
Compress shakes his head, "I'm disappointed". Taking out a sack of blue see-through marbles he tosses a few into the sky at Bryant and with a snap of his fingers, the three marbles become three large boulders. Allen 'closes' despite the fact he can't physically, and instinctively puts his hands in front of his face in defense, but this then reveals his powers. 'Opening' his eyes he sees the boulders hovering in front of him, Compress in awe as well, "How did you…"? Bryant shrugs, "Um...yeah, I've got a few tricks in store for you showman".
He tosses one of the rocks back at Compress with one of his arms, forcing the villain to duck out of the way. Feeling empowered, he decides to toss the other two boulders at the masked baddie, which he unfortunately misses. "*breathing*, Not bad. But I myself still have a few tricks up my literal sleeves". Two marbles fall out of said sleeves and into his hands, which he then rolls on the ground towards Bryant. With a snap he releases two venomous snakes that bite into Allen, but thanks to his skin not being skin, it has no effect and the snakes are useless. "Ha, thanks for the extra ammo Compress".
Grabbing the snakes into his gravitational pull, he gets an idea. "So if I can do this to animals, maybe I can do it to people". Stretching out an arm he 'grabs' Compress, sucking him into an orbiting ring above his head with the snakes, which proceed to try and bite him, "Haha, enjoying the ride Compress? How about I speed it up"? With a flick of the wrist the ring does indeed speed up, making the villain dizzy, "Please, gulp, I'm gonna be sick"! He obliges, "Okay, I'll slow it down. But there's one last thing". He releases the snakes and crushes them with his big feet, then levitates Compress in front of him, "Have a nice trip".
He tosses the villain miles away until he's out of sight, then turning back to normal. Bryant smiles with glee, "God this watch is amazing". He starts walking to where the shark man ran, thinking to himself on the way there, "That's probably the last of Compress for now, at least if that didn't kill him. But hopefully someone apprehends him. Now as for that rock guy, I'll call him 'Orbital'. Thank you Ochaco". He then activates the watch once it's recharged and looks at what Toru gave him; a big salamander on two legs. "Eh, why not", he thinks to himself.
Pressing it in his skin becomes moist and slimy. His teeth sharpening and gaining sharp claws on his fingers and toes as well as 3 triangular shaped eyes on his face; red, blue and green. A tail sprouts from his spine and a finishing touch of a spike out of the top of his head completes it, as well as a French accent. "Hm, not sure what I expected. But…well I definitely wasn't expecting an Earth accent so I guess I won't question it. But seeing as Toru gave me this one, I should be able to…". He turns completely invisible as his body recolors itself to the dark setting and buildings, "So, less salamander and more chameleon. Still, this is pretty cool. I'll bet I can get the jump on bad guys real nicely. So, where's that shark"?
Staying camouflaged, he lurks around the large cityscape of endless rain until finally seeing the shark man, except he's already fighting an invisible being. "Toru, I told her to get out of here. Sigh, Well I can least help her out. Tag team the bastard". He runs over and leaps onto the shark man, still berserk, and ejected his barbed stinger at the end of his tail. Ramming in the pointed tip into his back before being shaken off, "Ugh...hey, you need help"? Toru accepts, "Yeah, I think two invisible people against a giant beast man is better for our chances".
Toru punches the shark in the face as hard as she physically can, but surprisingly it doesn't do much. "Come on, together. We'll punch him at the same time". Toru hesitates, "Just please try not to touch me. Being naked is sensitive for me even if you can't see me". Looking at the ground to see where she is as well as himself, they both punch Sharkyonara together, providing more of an impact. As a follow up she kicks him in the leg while Bryant crawls up his arm, both clawing and biting it.
"Hrrr", the villain grunts as he bites his own arm, Bryant having jumped off; "Argh". Bryant thinks to himself, "This 'Inviso' guy I guess I'll call him, isn't meant for straight combat, more so for stealth. But, that Master Control thing the Intellectual talked about. Let me think…". He transforms into Recks with a simple thought, his 12ft size towering over the shark man, "Holy crap it worked, thanks Izuku...and tiny guy". With a simple stomp, he grows only a couple of meters, then steps on the villain, squishing him into defeat, "Quick victory for the win. But still, thanks for the help Toru".
He turns back as he runs out of time, but this time it recharges fairly quickly, which he needs. A student with a bird head, backs towards them without looking, his also bird shaped shadow attacking the air it seems. "Fumikage", Toru exclaims, "What are you doing here"? His shadow grows larger due to lack of light, "I'm trying to get lucky and hit this invisible villain in front of me. I can't exactly see him but I'm bound to hit him sooner or later". Bryant presses the watch on his chest, turning back into Inviso, "I can help, just watch the water imprints from the walking. I'll do the same, and plus he won't be able to see me just as much as we can't see him".
Fumikage's shadow sees the footsteps and with the advice given, grabs up the villain, or so he thought, "Damnit bird man". He apologizes, "Sorry, but maybe you should try something else". He let's him go, "Okay, guess I'll give Tidal another go". Turning into said form, he sprays haphazardly all in front of him, eventually hitting the villain hard with pressurized water. The hit reverts him visible and without even another word Fumikage smashes him into the ground with a big shadow fist.
Allen saves on juice and presses the faceplate symbol to turn back, "So, Fumikage? How long have you been in here? Are there any other villains or students in here besides the three of us"? He shakes his head, "No, I've looked all over in here. Tenya managed to escape through the entrance though to get backup from the other teachers". He's glad to hear that, "Good, I'm sick of water right now. So, would you guys mind taking care of sharky and lizard boy here? By the way, there was another guy in a mask but I think I might have tossed him out of the Downpour Zone entirely so I have no idea where he might be, so watch out. Myself, I'm going to the Conflagration Zone next to see who I can help out there".
He shakes both their hands, "Thanks for the help you two". Toru finally puts her clothes back on, "You're welcome. It was nice working with someone. A bit of practice outside the Battle Trial". Fumikage speaks little, "You're quite welcome as well. You skills are also very versatile it seems. You held your own". He takes it as a compliment, "Uh, thanks. Anyways, you guys should get out of here after the 'cleanup'. Just be careful. I'll be seeing you".
