Summary: Bryant picks his Hero name and introduces himself to some of Class B
Note: Thanks for the review new guy. Real glad you like it. I don't think I'll change the names though. The only one I might is for the Werewolf and that's because it's not exactly exciting (I just went for a 'scientific name'. As for why I renamed them, I just wanted to come up with cooler names for them, but also when you think about it, it's not Ben but a different person, so a different person would probably pick different names, know what I mean? But just an example which ones do you find hard to remember? Hopefully I see more feedback from you or anyone, but it really blows talking to reviewers without accounts since I have to address you on the story itself. Just a minor complaint.
The next day during Modern Art Class, Midnight greets everyone with a smile. "Hello everyone, I have a special little job for you all today. You already have your costumes right? Well since the Sports Festival is coming up, it only makes sense to pick your Hero names for the future. Now, nothing is set in stone, but this'll be a nice little starting point". She hands everyone a chalkboard and says they have ten minutes. Bryant looks over to Momo, "Any ideas yet"? She shook her head, "I'm thinking on it. This could be my Pro Hero name. I just don't want to mess it up, you know"? He smiles, "You're so self conscious Momo. You really need to lighten up a little. Have fun with this whole place. It's not just a school".
She agrees, "I realize that. It's just I've always been inclined to high expectations. That's how I was raised". Bryant understands, "I get it. Don't want to disappoint your parents. In that case you're kind of a lighter reflection of Shoto from what I can tell. But, whatever you pick I'm sure it'll be good". She asks him, "So, what have you decided"? He answers, "Something plain and simple. But I think it'll fit. Just waiting my turn". In a flash the ten minutes are up and Midnight speaks up, "Okay everyone, time's up. Let's see what you've got. Who wants to go first"?
Katsuki strides up there confidently, "King explosion murder". Midnight immediately turns it down to his rage, "I'm gonna say that one's a bit too violent". He shouts, "What"?! Kirishima pokes the bear, "Why don't you be 'Explosion Boy', huh"? He shouts more, "You shut up weird hair, it's my damn Hero name and I'll choose what I want". She sends him back to his desk to try again, "Evidently not. You want something cool, but not something that'll make kids wince. Make them look up to you". He walks back muttering to himself, "Yeah, yeah, sure, cater to the damn kids. Incomprehensible". Yuga walks up next, "Hold your breathe. The shining Hero. My name is 'I can not stop twinkling'. Fancy huh"?
Katsuki shouts, "Maybe Allen was right for once. You gonna come out of the closet already"? Everyone mostly overlooks that. Midnight comes over, "Here, take out the 'I' and use 'Can't' instead". He seems pleased with it, "Stunning Mademoiselle". Ochaco and many others thinks lout loud, "She actually likes it"? Mezo goes with Tentacle Hero: Tentacole which Midnight also seems to like, but it seems so far the only one she denied is Katsuki. Toru puts her board up, "The Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl". Kayama says it suits her and pretty much nothing else. "Toru, isn't that a bit plain", asks Bryant". She shrugs it off, "Maybe, but I really like it and it's what I had in mind so…".
Mina comes up in her usual energetic self, "My code name: Alien Queen". Midnight denies it, "That horrible monster with acidic blood. No way". She goes back disappointed, "What gives teach", Allen asks, "Fits her well enough". She admits, "Copyright, you know? Wasn't trying to be mean". Shoto just uses him name, deciding to be as plain as cardboard. Kyoka picks 'Earphone Jack' to the teacher's delight. "Come on people, get creative", she motivates them. Denki picks 'Chargebolt'. "Makes me all tingly", she presumably flirts. Tsuyu asks permission to go next, "I've had this one in mind since I was in grade school. Rainy Season Hero: Froppy". Everyone cheers her for it. Bryant claps but admits he doesn't get it, "That's a weird one. But good on you for picking something unique".
Momo finally picks hers, "I hope I live up to the title. I am the 'Everything Hero: Creati'. How's this"? Midnight cheers, "Crea-tive". When she sits back down Bryant gives her a hand, "Nice one. Suits you really well". She blushes, "Thanks. I feel comfortable with it. I think my parents will be proud of it. That is if I can make a name for myself along with it". Sero goes with 'Cellophane', while Ojiro picks 'Tailman'. Rikido goes with 'Sugarman'. Bryant objects, "Come on dude. You could've SO used 'Candyman'. You know"? Midnight looks over, "Copyright, remember"? He sighs, "Yeah I know. Just thought it'd sound cool for him".
Fumikage proudly announces, 'Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi'. Midnight swoons, "Oh, God of the Night". Allen chimes in, "Ooh, I've got one. 'Bird Box', or better yet, 'Morpheus'. Huh"? Nemuri comments, "Morpheus is good but similar enough to what he chose so, it's up to him". Fumikage sticks with what he's got. Ejiro takes pride in his, "Sturdy hero: Red Riot". Midnight applauds him, "Ah, a legacy Hero. An homage to Crimson Riot. Well if that's the case you have a lot to live up to". He accepts the challenge, "I'll do my best". Mina comes up again, "PINKY"! She cheers her own, "Make those looks work for you girl"! Bryant interjects, "Hey, I thought copyright was off limits? That's the name of a Doom monster". It goes over Nemuri's head, "Oh. Well obviously it's not too much of a problem so, I guess this one can slide". Mina chimes in, "Plus I REALLY don't want to think up another name".
Mineta picks 'Grape Juice'. Allen smirks, "Well that's a fitting title. I HATE grape juice". He nervously laughs at that. Deep in concentration, all Tenya cooks up is like Shoto, his own name. Koda goes with 'Anima'. Midnight supports it as do the others, "All about it". Urarake goes over, "This is the one I cooked up. 'Uravity'. Well"? Midnight blushes, "I love it". Bryant shouts out, "That's cute. Gravity with a 'U'. Nice one Ochaco". She blushes herself at all the compliments. Katsuki runs up to the podium, "Lord Explosion Murder". To which Kayama says bluntly, "That's basically the same exact thing". Bryant gets a kick out of it.
Izuku puts his board up with conviction. "I used to hate it, but someone taught me it could have a different meaning if I want it to. So here it is. 'Deku'. It has to be my Hero name". Ochaco gets a sparkle in her eyes and everyone but Katsuki applauds him for it. Katsuki goes up one more time and slams his board down, "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight"! Midnight rolls her eyes, "Fine, if that's really what you want". Bryant rolls his onw eyes, "Pfft. More like God of Overkill". Bakugo shouts, "Want to say that to my face"?! He replies, "Yeah, I do". Midnight sighs, "Enough you two".
She calls up Bryant, "Alright Allen, you're the last one up. You've had plenty of time so, go ahead". He walks up and puts up the board, "The 'Multi Hero: Omni'. What do you think"? She puts her hands to her face, "Oh my, yes! That's so fitting". Everyone but of course Katsuki actually applauds him to his happiness and embarrassment. He sits back down and runs it by in his head again and again. 'I really like that', he thinks to himself. Momo looks over to him, "That's a really good one I have to admit. Kind of similar to mine actually". He agrees, "Yeah I guess it is. Maybe you inspired me". She smiles.
The rest of the day goes as normal and even the day after that, and before too long it's Festival time. Walking out into the stadium there had to be at least a thousand people in the place. As the events are in the works, everyone mingles with each other. Bryant finally gets the opportunity to meet the Class 1B students. He walks over to the girl with thorny vines for hair. "Hi, nice to meet you". She introduces herself, "Likewise. My name is Ibara Shiozaki". He responds, "I'm Bryant Allen". She seems to know who he is, "Oh, you have the ability of multiple quirks. How fortunate. Maybe the Lord bless us both". He asks, "You're religious"? She admits, "Yes".
He continues, "Christian"? She nods, "Cool. I believe in God myself. I mean I don't go to church but I believe in him and that good and love should triumph above all else". She seems pleased with that answer, "Not devout like me I see. But you have a good head on your shoulders it appears. I wish you luck on the Festival". As she walks away he has to admit, "Wow, she's really pretty. Very pure it seems". But to her lack of attention he did manage to get a form from her too, 'mutagen acquired, alien form unlocked'. Taking a look, it's a humanoid with five legs, long weed like fingers and a flytrap around the head. He heads over to another beautiful girl with one eye covered by white hair, "Hey there. I'm Bryant. You"? She takes a moment to speak, "Reiko". He shrugs, "That's it"? She acknowledges, "I was just introducing myself like you". He tries again, "What's your power"?
She lifts up a few rocks without touching them as an example, "Wow, that's really cool". She gives the lightest smile he's ever seen but he can see it, "That's nice of you to say". He mentions, "You know I have a form that lets me manipulate gravity. Are there any downsides to your power"? She admits, "I probably shouldn't say but, I can only lift as many objects that add up to the weight of a person". He sees, "So you're kind of like an inverse of Ochaco. Except she has to touch things to make them float". He looks at her hands, "Are you okay? Looks like arthritis". She shakes her head, "No. It's just some kind of effect of my quirk. That and makes me looks more ghostly so I like it". Bryant grabs a rocks she was controlling with the pink aura around it, "So, you're into creepy things"?
She nods her head, "Yeah. What's not to love about creepy things. They fascinate me. Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, vampire, werewolves". He just blankly stares, "Are you emo"? She replies, "If you mean I don't usually show emotion. Then yes". He holds out his hand to shake, "Well, nice to meet you". She actually shakes his back, "You too". Her hands are really soft and smooth but cold, like lack of circulation. As she walks over to the redhead he hears another form unlock and looks. A rather stereotypical ghost with a 'tail' instead of legs and four fingers, "Cool", he admits.
The next person to peak his interest is a guy with a centipede head, "Hey you. What's up? Looking forward to the Festival"? The first thing he says is, "I'm gonna cut you Class A students to pieces. So you'd better believe we won't be buddy/buddy if that's what your plan is". Bryant frowns, "Excuse me"? Bug man goes on, "Just stay out of my way and maybe you won't get cut". Bryant turns sour, "Another Bakugo. Like the world having one wasn't enough. I'm going to hate you aren't I"? He smirks, "That just depends on how much of a hindrance you are to me". He walks away but not before Allen gets his sample and unlocks another form, "It better be good you literal prick", he mutters to himself. It's a bug with wings, four eye stalks, four pointed legs, arms and a tail with a stinger attached.
Next on his list of meeting was a guy wearing some kind of pointy domino mask around his eyes, whether they were part of his face though, he had no idea. "Hi there. I'm Bryant". He kept his arms crossed, "Hey". Allen sighed, "You're not gonna hate me too, are you? I'm just trying to get to know you guys. I'd leave you all alone if I just straight wanted nothing to do with you". The man, Tetsutetsu, decides to give him a chance, "Fine. Listen. You Class A types think you're superior to us don't you? I just want to prove everyone wrong". Bryant has no idea what he's talking about, "I'm not seeing it. So far from the look alone you guys have cool powers just like us. Thorny hair, telekinesis and, whatever you do".
He cracks his neck, "Well just want to show everyone we're jst as good as your guys are". Bryant acknowledges, "I believe it. Good luck", he stretches out his arm. Tetsutetsu accepts it to his happiness, with a tight grip though, "May the best men and women win". Yet another form is unlocked; a bulky form with six armored globules attached to the sides of the arms, legs and 'head'. It appears not to have a head at all. Next up is a guy covered in hair wearing glasses, "Um. Hi"? He responds, "Hello". Bryant goes ahead with it, "I'm Bryant. Your name"? He replies, "Jurota. I've heard of your skills. I hope to see them at work. But why have you come over here"? Bryant tells him, "I just wanted to meet as many of you as I could". He adjusts his glasses, "How formal. Refreshing really. So even despite us not being in the same Class, you wish to mingle"?
He nods, "Yeah, why not. The more acquaintances, the better. We don't have to all hate each other. You seem like a nice enough guy". He stretches out his hand, "So, would you be willing to shake"? Shishida takes his hand to his pleasant surprise, "I wish you luck in the contest". Allen shakes back, "Likewise". With that meet over, he takes a look at the next form and sees an animal type alien with a tail, fangs and a body structure like a Liger, "Awesome". The next guy he sees isn't part of Class B; some guy with purple puffy hair and bags under his eyes like he hasn't slept in weeks. "Well, this guy looks interesting".
