Summary: Bryant takes on the first part of the first year UA Sports Festival
Note: Sorry, if it's a bit short but I had fun writing it. Also, Happy Thanksgiving, to anyone that celebrates it that is. If not, then enjoy regardless.
The girl's pupils are cross hairs, and they are absolutely enchanting, with the girl herself rather eccentric, "Oh, hey. Didn't see you there. Need something? If you want one of my babies, see me after the Festival is over". He raises a brow, "Babies"? She replies in a hyper way, "Oh, my gadgets. I LOVE my babies, they always do their best to make people's lives better. I bet you could use one, am I right? I build upgrades to Hero costumes, little attachments, even augmentations if I'm feeling extra confident". He responds, "Slow down, I'm just over here to talk".
Her energy dies down a little, "Oh, alright. But make it quick, the bigwigs are watching and I want to know their every move. Funding for my babies is my number one goal". Bryant goes to speak but she interrupts him and even gets in his space, "I plan on getting to the last round just so I can show off to them. Can't make more super cute babies without investor's yen". He steps back a little but she gets right in his face to where her eyes directly meet his, almost mesmerizingly, and he can smell her perfume clear as day. "Excuse me, but, what even is your name"? She proudly announces, "Mei Hatsume. Don't wear it out. Because one day everyone will know about me and my babies. Now, I really have to get going, so bye".
He goes to ask her what this last round would be but she's long gone, and seconds later it's time to start the contest. The students are all lined up in front of a straight path, but only at the start. Nemuri comes on the speakers, "Alright students, listen up. Four kilometers through and around UA. First one to reach the finish line gets an advantage in the second round. You're permitted to use your quirks as much as you'd like. That said, don't leave the course and you're good. Good luck". The count of three to one is up in a flash, and second later everyone makes a break for it.
Tenya prepares to use his own power, but in a change of pace no one expected, Shoto starts sprinting but freezing the ground at the same time. Most people get stuck but the primary two classes use their own powers to escape, including but not limited to Momo and Katsuki. Bryant doesn't get stuck but he immediately slips and falls, "OW...dick move Shoto". Lying on the ground he cycles through his forms and picks Ice Queen, "Time to take to the skies, I guess", she proclaims. Keeping up among everyone, while others like Izuku, Mineta and Ochaco are behind, slipping, Bryant glides smoothly all the way up until he and the others reach the first obstacle.
Standing in front of them are not only the three Entrance Exam robots, but at least a dozen Executors. Everyone almost pisses themselves with fear, but Bakugo being the overconfident prick he is, uses his power to launch himself and sock one of the Executors in the face. Todoroki near instantly freezes one and runs on through without a hitch. Seeing a rare opportunity, and knowing he could catch up at least for one of the three places, Allen switches to Mass to take on the Executors. All the lagging behind students' mouths drop, as he stares down the emotionless robots, "Remember me, tin heads"?
He takes a quick look behind him to see the other students fending against the smaller bots, like Kyoka short circuiting some, Denki zapping and even Momo using a handheld cannon, "Wow, she sure has muscle to carry that thing". Putting his attention onto the Executors he punches one's head off, while two come up on him, though of course they are still smaller by nearly half. With a big leap, he jumps into the air as the two behemoths lurch at him and comes down, squashing both beneath each foot. Besides for fun, he's also doing this to help out the others with weaker powers who couldn't handle all these Executors.
Bryant grabs one of the robots and rips it's head off, then proceeds to toss it at a couple lined up, as it punches holes through both, "Strike". Using his better sight he looks past to see how far Katsuki and Shoto are getting, "Better get going. Still, just one more for fun". Crossing his arms he blasts through at least a few more executors with his huge laser beam, "Okay, now I'm done". Switching back to Ice Queen, he resumes his pursuit of both first and second place. Before long him and all the others come across the next obstacle, a deep pit with pillars and tightropes attaching them to each other. Todoroki, like a badass, just slides across one, while Tsuyu hops onto one and starts shimmying, 'Ribbit'. Mina stomps her foot, "This is so unfair".
Still being Ice Queen, this doesn't bother him. However, feeling bad for the others, he decides to land and look through his selection to try something more challenging. Momo catches up, "What are you doing? You can fly, so just do that". He shakes his head, "Nah, not fair to the others. But, I can give you a ride to the other side if you want". She of course rejects the idea, "No, I need to do it myself. Maybe I can pole vault the whole way? But thanks regardless". Allen heads over to Uraraka, "Hey, Ochaco"? She listens, "Yeah"? He gives her some advice, "Your power works on you too, right? Just do that to get to the other side. It might be slower, but at least it's a guarantee". She nods, "Thanks for the tip. I'll probably do that".
"Okay, how about...Stickler? That seems pretty fair". Picking that, he starts hopping across. Shooting off webbing from his tail and pulling himself with it to get there faster. Reaching the last pillars, he gets an idea, "How about a little momentum"? Shooting webs between the pillars, he takes both strands into his arms as he dangles above the hole. Using his agility, and the webs like an elastic, he launches himself fast and far, reaching a good distance and catching up to both Todoroki and Bakugo. Unfortunately, while landing at Shoto's feet even, he lands on his face, "Spit, Spit", he ejects the dirt from his mouth, followed by an, "Ow".
He looks up at Todoroki, "Hi there". Getting back to his feet, he notices he has stopped and is looking at the sign, which warns of mines. "Really? You can walk on ice and shoot fire but you hesitate here? Just use the same thing you've been doing. They probably won't detonate". Shoto does just that, "I planned on it. Just was catching my breath". As him and Katsuki cross together, Bakugo starts trying to blast him while they're toe to toe. Bryant snaps his fingers, "I've got it. Something that will benefit everyone too". He slaps the watch symbol on his chest and switches to Attractor, "Let's see how far I can go with magnetic pull". Raising his arms up and out, he riases his claws up, ripping out all the mines from the ground. As he prepares to toss them all into the air, Izuku, meanwhile, uses a piece of robot armor to scoop them out of the air and plant them on the ground.
With a flick of the wrists, or lack thereof, he sends up all the mines into the sky then slams them together, culminating into a massive pink explosion. "Better than fireworks", Present Mic jokes around on the intercom. A lot of students admire it for a second, while Izuku pulls a gutsy move and using his robot armor as a sled, detonating the explosives and launching himself past not only Bryant, but Shoto and Katsuki. Seeing this he switchers one more time, "Now's as good a time as any now that the path is clear. Hopefull I don't slip". He turns into Blue Lightning, "Time for the 'Lightning Round', and since this is a race, kit's only natural to use this guy at least once".
Using his super speed, he catches up to the three in an instant, and passes by them even quicker, getting a split second to look as he looks Izuku right in the eyes for just a millisecond, to which he waves to his buddy, "See you at the finish". Zooming away, he ends up going through the arena hall door and into the arena itself, back where they all started. Present Mic comes back on the intercom, "We have a winner for first place"! Confetti drops, and Bryant poses a little before his watch beeps, turning him back and recharging. Looking behind, he sees Izuku, who takes second place, along with confidence in his eyes, followed by Shoto, then Katsuki. Midoriya puts his hands on his knees to catch his breathe as he sucks in ALL the air. Bryant then reaches his arm out, "Congratulations, 'Deku', to which Izuku smiles and takes.
