Welcome to the Chapter 2 of Roadtrip! I've noticed a few mistakes and errors in the first chapter, I'll try not to make any more in the future! Also, I've decided to do longer chapters, since the first was pretty short.

Disclaimer: bruhmeister still doesn't own any of the brands portrayed.

Let's get going!

This is a thought

"This is speech."

"What in the hell?! Was that an Eevee?!" Tyler yelled, in shock. "Why is it there? Arceus, I hope it's okay…."

Wait…what am I thinking!? I gotta help it! I can't just stare at it!

Mentally facepalming, Tyler stepped on the gas harder, rushing towards a U-turn spot. Turning around, he rushed over to a safe spot to pull over. Fumbling about his keys, he jumped out of the car and ran over to the semi-secluded pile of snow, not caring about the cold air. It was pretty far away from the main road, getting Tyler to think about it harder.

Damn…if it wasn't for my gut feeling, I wouldn't have spotted the poor thing. Thanks, me.

When he eventually reached the pile, he noticed that the poor Eevee wasn't alone, as it laid atop of a barely breathing Vulpix, as indicated by the small puffs of water vapour emanating from both of their mouths. Sighing, Tyler removed the snow that has rested atop the Evolution and Fox Pokemon. However, the sight caused him to gasp yet again.

Bruises and cuts were very visible on both of the Pokemon, small splotches of dried blood littered their bodies. Tyler's heart felt like it was clamped down, as his eyes got a little bit damp. The sight was heartbreaking.

Oh my….What the hell happened to them? This is just….just…painful

Hastily, Tyler picked up both of them and ran over to his car, opening the door with his elbow and got in, all while cradling both closely to share his body heat with them. Vulpix's usually have pretty high body temperatures and are warm to the touch. This one, however, was barely warmer than the Eevee, getting Tyler to thank his quick thinking to take them inside. He reached over and turned on his heater, aiming it towards them in the passenger seat and waited.

"I hope both of you are okay…." Tyler whispered, while driving slowly to a Pokecenter.

"Ugh, where is he? It's been almost an hour! How long does it take to get some groceries?!" Samuel groaned.

Samuel slumped even further into the couch, finding a better position to complain about Tyler's lateness. Lazily, he grabbed a Pokeball and released his Houndoom, Helios. Helios yipped happily before cocking his head to the side at the sight of his sulking trainer. Samuel glanced over to Helios and gave him a small smile, patting his head.

"Hey there, bud. At least I have you to keep me company, unlike some ass." Samuel smirked.

"Hey! I heard that!" Josh yelled from the kitchen while doing the dishes.

"Yep, I know."

*sigh* "You're really something, Sam…"

"Heh."

"Doom? Hound houndoom?" Helios asked.

"Nah, nothing to worry about, bud. Josh is just a boring dud." Samuel said, ruffling Helios' fur.

"Dude, I was just doing the dishes. No need for the insults." Josh remarked as he walked into the room, sitting in an armchair. "Though, I do wonder what's holding Tyler up? He's not usually this late."

"Why don't you just call him?" Samuel asked.

"I was busy, why didn't you?"

"…Touche."

Tyler sat patiently in a traffic jam, taking quick glances to the still unconscious pair beside him. Suddenly, the Eevee's eyes cracked open, which then opened up fully with fear. It began quaking in fear, which in turn, woke up the Vulpix as well, joining in with the quaking, towards both the Eevee and the human.

"E-E-Eev…EEVEE!" The Eevee yelped, clearly frightened.

"Vu-vulpix! V-v-vulp! Vulpix!" The Vulpix cried, tears beginning to well up in it's eyes.

"W-woah! Hey, calm down you two! I'm not here to hurt you! Please, calm down!" Tyler explained, trying to keep both Pokemon calm. "I'm here to help, please trust me!"

The Vulpix stumbled into the footwell and hid under the glovebox, while the Eevee crawled over to the door, shivering all the while.

Tyler slowly but surely reached his hand out slowly, as to not scare the Eevee, while keeping a reassuring gaze at her.

"Hey, it's okay. I just want to help you. I don't want to hurt you. In fact, I'm taking you to a place to heal you two." Tyler stated calmly.

The Eevee shivered less now, and the Vulpix decided to crawl closer from under the glovebox, eventually ending up in front of the passenger seat. Tyler let out a sigh of relief.

"There you go. I'm glad we came to an agreement, huh?" Tyler said, giving a warm smile towards both Pokemon. He was glad they felt better around him, as he did as well around them.

The Vulpix jumped up on the seat and sat next to the Eevee, who stopped shaking and just stared at the human with an awe struck gaze. She has never seen such a warm and reassuring smile as his. Eventually, she crawled over to the still extended hand and rubbed her head on it, enjoying the warmth it provided. The Vulpix followed up as well, feeling much more comfortable with the kind human.

"E-eevee? Eev. Eevee." The Eevee spoke to the Vulpix, who tilted her head slightly.

"Vulp. Vulpix." Replied the Vulpix, giving a small nod to the Eevee.

Suddenly, the car began moving again, which startled both 'Mons slightly. They both looked up towards Tyler, who was focusing on driving safely, as to not startle them too much.

"Heh, sorry about that. We're getting you two to a Pokecenter. Both of you aren't looking too great." Tyler said, reaching an arm to grab a small blanket from the backseat and draping it over the Pokemon. "You guys must be hungry, I'll be right back." He added, before stopping by the sidewalk and exiting the car, going to the trunk.

The Eevee and Vulpix looked at each other, before indulging in the warm blanket some more. Both were still somewhat surprised by the kind actions on Tyler's behalf. The Eevee groaned, feeling the soreness that radiated from her injuries, with the Vulpix trying to hide small tears from the stinging cuts and bruises on her body. The blanket and warmth of the heater definitely helped out a lot, though.

Tyler returned and got back in again, with a few Oran berries in hand. He handed them to the pair under the blanket, eliciting a confused whine from both of them.

"Here, these are for you two. Since you guys looked like you're starving." Tyler said, before a small grumbling came from the Vulpix, resulting a small chuckle from Tyler and light blush from her. The Eevee eyed the berries cautiously, tapping one of them with her paw.

Damn, they're adorable… Such a pity what happened to them though, I can't even imagine….

Tyler, after noticing that they began eating the berries, continued driving towards the Pokecenter. However, he was disturbed by a phone call, which also caused the pair under the blanket to yelp in surprise. Glancing over the caller ID "Samuel", he calmed both of them down and picked up the phone.

["Hello?"]

["Hey, Ty. What's taking so long? Where are you, you've got my Dew right? Better not have gotten the shitty type, though."]

["Yeah, I've got your drink. Sorry for taking so long, on the way back I-"]

["OH SHIT, A LIVE ELITE FOUR BATTLE! SORRY CALL YOU LATER BYE!"]

["Uh, hello? Sam?"]

Sighing, Tyler ended the call and placed his phone down. He looked over to see the Eevee and Vulpix looking at him curiously.

"Sorry guys, my friend called me. Didn't mean to scare you." Tyler apologized.

"Eevee? Eev?" The Eevee said while pawing at the phone beside him.

"Oh, this? This is a phone, you can use it to talk people who are far away. It's pretty handy." Tyler explained, getting the Eevee to nod slightly and give a pleased yip.

She's a curious one, huh? The Vulpix is pretty quiet, what's up with that?

Looking over to the Vulpix, Tyler noticed how she was trying to not yelp in pain. This gave him extra determination to reach the Pokecenter, which was coming into view. However, this caused Tyler to think some more.

Hmm, what do I do after I get them healed up? I mean, I guess I can leave them to run back to the wild, but they don't seem all that keen…

Stopping his car by the entrance, he turned and took his key out of the ignition. Then, he leaned over to them in the passenger seat.

"Hey, we're here. Let's get you both tip top condition." Tyler spoke, giving them a soft smile.

Both of them nodded in understanding, with Tyler promptly picking both of them up in his arms, getting the Vulpix to yelp a bit. He walked into the entrance and approached the front desk, where a nurse stood.

"Hello, what can we do for you?" The nurse asked with a smile.

"Yeah, can you help me heal these two? I found both of them in a snow pile and I worry if they might have frostbite or something." Tyler explained.

"Oh, sure thing, sir. Come with me."

"Thanks."

The group began walking to a room filled with special healing machines, specifically designed for out-of-ball healing. The nurse pointed over to two small sized machines, both of which consisted of a chamber and a complex looking terminal beside each one.

"Place each one of them in a machine, sir. I'll take care of the rest."

"Sure thing, thanks a lot, nurse." Tyler thanked, getting a small nod and smile from the nurse.

"No problem, sir."

"Woah! No fucking way! That Glalie just straight up dunked on the poor guy's Probopass. How'd that even happen that quickly!? God da-"

"Sam!"

"Huh, yeah? What's up Josh?"

"What did Tyler say?"

"Uhhh…erm…He…uh.."

*sigh* "Goddamn it, Sam…"

After both of them have been healed, Tyler went over to check on the Eevee and Vulpix. Upon exiting the chambers, both of them walked over and looked up with a thankful smile on both of their faces.

"Eevee! Eev, eevee! Vee!" The Eevee yipped, it's tail wagging care freely.

"V-v-vulpix, vulp.." The Vulpix squeaked, a blush forming on it's face.

"I'm glad both of you are okay! But…what to do now?" Tyler inquired, getting confused looks from both Pokemon.

"I mean…..I can let you two back in the wild or if you want to, you can come with me."

Silence came and went in a few minutes, with the Eevee walking up towards Tyler, followed by the Vulpix.

"Eevee!"

"Vulpix!"

"Uhhh, I can't understand you two…" Tyler remarked, clutching his chin.

Thankfully, the nurse he had met came back into the room, holding two small, badge like devices.

"Oh, hello, sir. It seems like both of them have finished healing. By the way, I have something to give you." The nurse said.

"Oh yeah, they have. What are those?" Tyler inquired.

"These are Pokespeech translators, courtesy of Sylph Co. They've started doing a giveaway of these translator to Pokecenters all around the world as a promotional event. Thankfully, we've received quite a few of them. It seems like you care for them very much, so I figured you'd find them useful."

"Wow, that's incredibly cool. Like really cool. You sure I can have these? I don't even know if they want to stay with me, though." Tyler spoke.

"It's really no problem, sir." The nurse said as she handed them to Tyler.

Tyler turned around and kneeled, down towards both Pokemon.

"Hey, I have something for both of you. This here is a device that can let me understand you guys fully. Let me put them on." Tyler said as he beckoned both Pokemon to come over to him.

The Eevee went up first. Tyler rubbed its fur, letting out a pleased purr. He then fixed the badge onto the tuft of fur on the Eevee's neck. The Vulpix followed closely behind. Tyler smile and gave it a small rub on its head, getting it to blush lightly and lean into his hand. Chuckling a bit, Tyler fixed the other one on its neck fur as well.

Standing up, Tyler cleared his throat.

"Now, let's try again. Do you guys wanna come with me?". A small bit of silence ensued, which was then shattered by a feminine voice, followed by another, shyer one.

"Definitely!" Yipped the Eevee

"O-of course!" Stammered the Vulpix.

That's the end of Chapter 2! Hope you guys enjoyed, and I'll be seeing you guys in the next chapter! Justi- I mean, bruhmeister out!
