Summary: Bryant begins the Cavalry Battle portion of the Festival, picking teammates who will be invaluable, but they take a little convincing first.

Katsuki goes right up to Bryant and Izuku, giving them the stink eye. He gets right up into their faces, "You two are in some deep crap now, you know that? I also warned YOU Deku. Now you're in for it in the next round". Bryant insults him, "Christ man, did you brush your teeth this morning"? He almost looks like he's about to bite Allen's head off, but he just walks away enraged, "You just wait loudmouth, you'll get yours too". Bryant walks over to Shoto, "Nice job with the race dude. Kind of dickish with the whole ice thing though". He shrugs, "A means to an end". He rolls his eyes, "You don't have to be so cold and calculating, you know? We've already fought together, remember"?
He notices Todoroki glance at the stands, "Who are you looking at"? Sure enough, it's his father Enji. Bryant clenches his fist, "Endeavor". He turns his attention back to Shoto, "Whatever stranglehold he has on you Shoto, just remember, you're your own person. That guy up there might've given birth to you, but that doesn't mean to have to suck up to him". Todoroki walks away, "You just wouldn't understand. But, sorry, for what it's worth". The next event is a 'Cavalry Battle', where unfortunately Bryant now has a huge target on his back figuratively and literally. Midnight announces, "Since Allen has placed first in the Obstacle Course, his prize for moving on will be 10 million points worth on his flag".
The instant she says that, he could feel the eyeballs piercing him front and back. Katsuki grins evilly, "You're gonna regret beating me in that first round now, aren't you? And you can bet your sorry ass I'm coming for you and that flag". Everyone picks teams and just about everyone even avoids teaming up with him to his somewhat sadness of being rejected. He goes around asking, until he turns around to find Mei in his face again, "Hi there, Bryant". He jumps back in surprise, "Yeah, what do you want"? She reaches her arm out to shake, "To team up of course". He warns her, "You do realize, according to everyone else avoiding me, that you're fucked if you team up with me, right? Everyone will target me for the easy win".
Hatsume could care less, "I just want the shared spotlight. Remember? I need to get the attention of the rich guys all the way up in the stands. If we win or lose, it's a win/win for me regardless, so no point in not picking you". He then asks, "So, what is your power"? She points at her beautiful eyes, "These cross hairs aren't just for show. I can see things up to five kilometers perfectly". He accepts regardless, "I can't see that really coming in handy at all during this but, thanks for picking me anyways. Now we just have to hopefully get at least two more people".
He heads over to Ashido, "Hey Mina? Want to join my team"? She hesitates, "Um, kind of but not really? I don't feel like being a target". He tries to give a sound argument, "Look, try and see it this way. You shoot acid which is already an amazing power in and of itself, but I have this watch, remember? I can use multiple powers to be able to contend with just about everyone here. Join me, and it's in the bag. We just have to keep my one flag away from everybody else and we'll win. What do you say? Deal"? She thinks it over, "Okay, I'm convinced. I have seen you at work so, why not team up again? I just hope I don't regret it". He gestates, putting his fist in the air and lifting his knee, "Nice. Just need one more".
He then has one more person in mind, "Um, excuse me. Momo"? She seemed to have been talking with Shoto, "Yes"? Bryant starts, "Will you team up with me"? She admits, "Me and Todoroki were already discussing our own team". He begs, "Please. You'd be the linchpin keeping us together. Mina shoots acid, Mei can...zoom in on things, and I'm practically universal. With your power to make things there's no way we could lose. You want to earn your victories, right? Well, just say yes and this 10 million is all ours". After a minute, Momo nods her head to his excitement, "Great. This is fantastic. Even that bastard Katsuki will have a hard time beating us".
With the other teams set, the challenge begins, with a set time limit as well. He is picked up on the girl's shoulders, "Whoa. Um, okay. You girls ready"? They all gave a thumbs up, "Okay, let's get it". As soon as the contest started, naturally everyone was coming for him and his team, as predicted, but his friends, including even Mei stood their ground. Of course, Katsuki came first, and of course he was on top. "First I'll get yours, then Deku", he threatened. Sero immediately shot his tape at the band around Allen's head, but Mina helps out before he takes it. "I've got it. His tape's pretty thick", she sprays acid to melt it off; "Thanks".
He scrolls through the selection of his forms and gets ready for Bakugo's next strike, "Come on Screech". Instead of he turns into someone else, "Tidal? Shit, must've pressed the wrong thing. Eh, but I think I'll give him a shot first". Before making contact, Bryant sprays his adversary with scalding water, which of course burns his face but also diverts him as his 'horses' turn away as ordered, "How'd that feel you literal hothead"? Next, he creates two water whips, getting ready as Hanta blasts more tape. Just as soon as it's dispensed, the tape ropes get melted by Mina and slashed in half by the water whips. "That all you got Bakugo", he taunts.
Katsuki gives his evil grin, or his normal grin, he couldn't tell, and actually lobs an explosive ball at Bryant, knocking him off, "PAH...ugh, shouldn't have been on my high horse, heh". He stands back up relatively unscathed, while the girls picks him back up. "You okay", ask Momo and Mina. He nods, "Yeah, thanks you guys". He thinks on what to fend off Katsuki next, "Ooh". Bryant turns into Regurgitator, only this time he looks different. This version doesn't have messed up teeth, has a straight tail, and darker green skin, but other than that is completely the same, "Whuh? Must have two types that alternate in there. Oh well, as long as he works the same".
Hanta blasts more tape rolls, while Allen proceeds to just open his mouth wide, as the tape flies right in. He starts chewing it like bubblegum, "Hm, could use some sugar. I suddenly got a little craving for human food too though, and not just...objects. Must also just be this one. Anyways". He hock at the three of them, "Bombs away". The explosion seems to not affect Bakugo, probably due to his power, but the other two are knocked back and so he falls down with the rest. "Ha ha ha ha, BURP. Oh, excuse me". Pony and that Centipede guy come try their hand, with Togaru literally riding her, "Burp. Sorry. Hey Kamakiri, that's the only girl you're ever gonna ride. HAH". The bug looking bully grimaces and gets his blades ready.
Pony starts shooting her horns, "Sorry Bryant, nothing personal. Promise". He agrees, "I get it, but why him? Anyways, Momo, can you make me something to eat"? She gives him a glance along with an eyebrow raise, "Um, sure. What do you want"? He answers, "Anything. I need ammo". She starts creating bowling balls, "Will these do"? He nods and starts swallowing them one by one and blasting at Kamakiri, but his blades are in front of his face seemingly able to block the blows from both him and Pony. Allen jokes, "Hey, does this mean I'm eating you out Momo? Ha ha ha...oh, I'm sorry". She rolls her eyes. Mina speaks, "It's not working. I'll try my acid".
Spewing her most potent stuff, she keeps Pony's horns at bay, while Bryant thinks of something else for Togaru, "Ah". He becomes Attractor, "If those blades are any kind of metal. Then…". He raises his claws and then by bringing them down, he slams bug man hard down onto Pony, donwing them both for the time being, with his claws even getting stuck in the dirt, pinning them both. Mina compliments, "Nice". He would smile, but has no mouth of course, "The power of magnetism Ashido. Never underestimate it". Hiryu and Jurota are next as they come for the headband.
Shishida speaks before going beast mode, "It would be better for both parties involved if you were to simply relinquish your headband to us. No fighting". Bryant rejects that, "That's a load and you know it. No regrets"! He turns into Orbital as Rin starts shooting scales, "Sorry girls, it might get a little heavy". As the scales launch, he stops them in their tracks, making sure every one of them falls to the ground. Mei starts picking them up, "Hey, what are you doing", asks Mina. Hatsume smiles, "You'll see". She whips out a big vile of glue, "It's one of my newest babies. SUPER super glue". She starts connecting the scales together with it and in no time creates a shield to protect the three of them, but of course it can't reach Bryant. Momo compliments her, "Nice ingenuity". Mei continues smiling, "I never leave anywhere without at least three of my babies on hand".
As Jurota hulks out, Bryant turns into Distill, "Think ya can whack me tough guy? How bout a little Sevoflurane"? Spraying the knockout gas, it starts to take effect but very slowly, "Eh, should crank up the potency. Eh Momo, can you make gas masks for the three of ya? It's gonna get more intense here"? She nods and he starts to spray a stronger dose of the stuff, "Go to sleep already ya big palooka. Or I'm a need some horse tranquilizers". Rin falls off to the ground KOed, and while Shishida tries to tank it, he too passes out, right on his face with a thud, "Damn. Bout as graceful as a Sasquatch. Still, that takes care of 'im. You dames alright"?
"You can remove your masks now". They do so, and he turns back, "Okay, who else wants a piece of the pie"? The quiet girl Yui, the glue guy Kojiro and the comic headed guy Fukidashi are the answer. Bondo oozes out a bunch of glue, which traps the girls in glue, but Mina quickly utilizes her power to make his presence almost nonthreatening, and frees them. Manga shoots out a word, "BOING". A big letter pops out and Kodai touches it to increase the size to at least that of a semi, "Damn, that's one badass chick", Bryant admires. As Mina tries to fling acid, it bounces off and hits her, but fortunately she's immune to her own stuff.
"Mei, got anything to help", he asks. She responds, "I do have one of my more useful babies on hand, a jetpack, but I'm not sure if it can carry us all, or at least not four". Bryant turns into Intellectual and falls inadvertently in between Mina's breasts, "Sorry. I didn't expect that. Sniff, Smells like roses though, nice". He climbs out, "Anyways, this should solve the problem, right Mei"? She nods, "Okay, hang on". Momo and Mina grab onto her, while Bryant sits in Mina's pocket. They then land right in front of the three over the letter, "Time for a one, two punch. Metaphorically"; He turns into Stickler and climbs back on top of the girls, before shooting webbing onto Yui's hands, binding them like handcuffs and preventing her from using her power. Next, he webs up Bondo's 'eye holes' to prevent his, then follows it all up by turning into Rockhard, "This should keep you off our backs. No hard feelings guys". He summons diamond shards that forms around them into a dome, trapping them inside.
He turns back, "Sorry for putting on the weight girls". Mei uses her power, "Watch it, Kendo, Yanagi, Tokage and Komori are incoming". Kinoko starts growing mushrooms, "Yanagi, toss some into their mouths. I'm making happy shrooms". Reiko uses her telekinesis to toss mushrooms but Mina gets to work repelling them, while the scales are used to shield them too. Bryant turns into Orbital yet again and snatches one out of the air, "Catch Kinoko". His gravity seems to override Reiko's in strength, and as such Kinoko swallows her own mushroom, "Uh oh". Within moments she starts tripping balls, "Ha ha ha...giggles, look Itsuka, see all the shrooms? See all the...squiggly lines and shifting colors". She collapses and just starts laughing, leaving them without a 'horse'.
Setsuna removes her hands and tries to snatch the headband, but Allen turns into Ice Queen, "You give me cold hands. But more so I'll give you them". She freezes her hands in ice blocks then tosses them back to her even, "Here you go. I think you lost these". Setsuna regrows her hands in order to keep carrying Itsuka. Kendo then makes a move as they get closer. Allen uses her breathe to blow them back but then it happens, his watch runs out of time and beeps, "Crap". Needing a recharge now, Itsuka uses her huge hand and grips his whole body in place, "Talk about a handjob, eh Kendo"? She giggles a little, but still uses her other enlarged hand to grab the headband.
"I don't think that belongs to you", he plays around. Itsuka winks and waves it around a bit, "Ours now". Momo hands him a grappling hook she just made, "Here, use this". He takes it, "Thanks Momo". Bryant aims it and latches onto the headband, trying to pull it back, but Reiko starts using her power to pull it as well. Mina sprays a little acid at Yanagi's feet, which starts to melt into her shoes, so she is momentarily distracted as she backs off, leaving the hook to retrieve their points. He ties it back around his head. Allen and the girls run off, but of course there's another team waiting.
