Welcome back, readers, homies, fellas, peeps, etc.! Before we start, I'd like to say huge thanks for 150 views! This was a huge surprise, as I didn't expect anyone to actually read this, let alone read 150 times in less than a week! Sincerely, thank you! Anyways...
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, bruhmeister still doesn't own any brands portrayed. Sad.
Let's get the ball rolling, with Chapter 3!
Tyler was quite taken aback by their response, partly because the translators actually work, but mostly by their choice.
"Wow...W-well they definitely work. Those eggheads at Sylph really know what they're doing!" Tyler chuckled, with the nurse lightly giggling in response.
"They aren't known as the leading Poketech brand for nothing, you know. Though, I share the same reaction as yours the first time I heard them speak too. Who knew Machamps were so polite?" The nurse added.
"Uuuhh, I don't know what they're talking about…we still sound the same." The Eevee said to the Vulpix, getting a light nod from the Fox Pokemon.
"Y-yeah, I-I feel the same…" The Vulpix responded, a bit startled by the laughing humans.
"Huh, really? But I can understand you both, what's up with that?" Tyler asked, genuinely confused.
"Ah, I should've explained sooner. So, apparently, they work by taking both the soundwaves and air pressure changes produced by talking, running them through a highly complex algorithm which rearranges them into understandable and precise words and then sending them as special waves detectable only to humans." The nurse explained.
"Wow, and all of that happens in something that small? Damn." Tyler remarked, astounded by the technological marvel. "That's really fucking cool."
Tyler felt a small tug on his pants. Looking down, he spotted the Eevee looking up at him.
"Excuse me, mister human, what's 'fucking'?" She asked. Tyler froze. "Uhhh, n-nevermind t-that." Tyler stuttered, getting a confused look from the Eevee.
"Anyways, I gotta head back home. So, for confirmation: I can let you both of you go or you can come along with me. Up to you." Tyler stated with a small smile.
"We're coming with you, both of us, right?" The Eevee yipped, looking at the Vulpix.
"Uuuh, w-w-well…Uhm…y-yeah.."
"Well, alright then. I should probably introduce myself, I'm Tyler. You two have names, right?" Tyler said, giving them a comforting smile.
"Well….no…I don't have one." The Eevee stated sadly. The Vulpix nodded, looking even sadder.
"Oh….I'm sorry. Uh, you guys mind if I give you two a name?"
"R-really?!" The Eevee exclaimed, beaming. The Vulpix also looked fairly excited. "A-are you s-serious, sir? T-thank you!"
*chuckle* "Of course! So, lemme think…" Tyler said while looking like he's in deep thought.
Hmm, I've never been good with names….This might take a while….
…..
…..
..I've got it!
Tyler got down on his knee, looking at both of them. He gave both of them a rub behind the ears, getting a content smile and shake from the Eevee and a small yelp followed by a small blush from the Vulpix. "Yours is Jewel." He said, while pointing to the Eevee.
"I love it! Thank you, Tyler!" She said happily, complete with a wagging tail.
"And yours….is Autumn." Tyler said while booping her snout, getting her to sneeze a bit and a small blush to form.
"T-thank y-you, sir…" She said, with hopeful eyes and the small blush still on her face.
"Well, let's go back now, my pals are probably pissed." Tyler lightly chuckled, while walking out the room, followed closely by the two. Suddenly he stopped and walked back inside, going over to the nurse. "Oh, almost forgot. Thank you so much."
"No problem, sir. I brings a smile to my face, seeing Pokemon and people getting along well."
"I agree. Also, may I have two more of those translators? My roommates have a couple Pokemon too."
"Of course. Let me grab them for you, just wait at the main lobby, I'll be back soon" The nurse said before walking out the room. Tyler nodded and gave his thanks, before hearing a yawn come from Autumn. He chuckled at the sight. "Hey, you tired?"
"O-oh! N-no, I-im fine." She blurted.
He chuckled again and walked over to both of them, before picking them up, cradling them in his arms as he walked to the lobby. Jewel relished in the warmth from his body, while Autumn let out another, louder yawn. He looked at both of them and smiled, sitting down in a chair.
…
*knock* *knock* *knock*
"Yeah, hold on!" Samuel yelled, walking over to the door. He found a deliveryman standing there.
"Excuse me, I have a large package for Mr. Whiting." He said, pointing at the large wooden crate behind him, on the driveway. "He lives here, right?"
"Oh, yeah. He's out on the world's longest grocery run, though. I can sign it for you." Samuel replied. The man nodded, handing him a clipboard, in which Samuel quickly signed. Handing back the clipboard, the man bid farewell, walking away from the house to his van.
Fuck yeah, finally! We can get this trip under way! Just gotta wait for that buffoon to finish….fuck…this'll be so boring….
Samuel thought, while he pushed the crate into the garage, right beside his lightly alpine white BMW M5 V10 sports sedan. It was slightly lowered, had matching white fifteen52 rims and an intake upgrade, now pushing 520 hp.
After the crate was repositioned, Samuel walked back inside, shutting the door behind him.
"Hey, Sam. Who was at the door?" Josh inquired while rummaging through the fridge, grabbing a bowl of leftover mac and cheese, chucking it into the microwave.
"It's the deliveryman. Tyler's parts are finally here." Samuel said, sticking his feet up while petting Helios which lied on his lap, smiling.
"Hound! Houndoom, hound hound!" Helios barked in an excited tone.
"Hell yeah, bud. I'm pretty happy for him. Staying in this town forever ain't healthy" Samuel admitted.
"Honestly, me too. Being confined to just this town is probably really getting on his nerves." Josh added, grabbing the now hot bowl of mac and cheese. "Who knows what lies out there?"
"Adventure, gold, babes, everything!" Samuel yelled. Josh sighed at the sight of his friend being an absolute tool. "Sure, Sam." He replied while releasing his Absol, Ruby, from her ball.
"Absol!" She said while nuzzling her head lightly on Josh's leg, getting him to chuckle.
"Heh, good morning, Ruby. Sorry for not letting you outta your ball." Josh apologized which Ruby accepted. "Ab absol sol sol!" She said, pointing to the bowl in his hand and then pointing to her.
"Of course you want the mac." Josh sighed and grabbed another plate, sharing half of the food with her. He walked over to the couch where Samuel sat, watching the Gym Battle rerun intently.
…
Along the main road that went straight through Twinleaf, Tyler was driving home with his two partners in the passenger seat, talking to each other. Tyler had turned on the radio, which was playing some typical pop songs. He felt like he had to ask them both something.
"Hey, you two." They both turned to look at him driving.
"What's up, Tyler?"
"Y-yes, sir?"
"Why did you two pick to go with me? Don't you two have somewhere else to go?"
This took them both by surprised. Jewel looked somber for a few moments before a frown formed on her face. Autumn began sniffling, tears welling up in her eyes. Tyler hadn't expected this reaction.
"I-I mean, y-y-you don't have to a-answer if you don't want to…." He trailed off, feeling regret for asking such a question.
"No…it's fine. I…don't have anywhere else to go….My family are dead." Jewel admitted, shocking Tyler in the process. Autumn looked at her with wider eyes, her tears dropped even quicker now.
"I-I-I…d-didn't ev-even have o-one…." She spoke through her sobbing, getting Tyler to gasp audibly. "I-I h-hatched….i-in the w-wild…alone."
"G-girls, I'm…..I'm s-so sorry! I…I didn't mean to-" Tyler spoke, tearing up as well.
"No, it's fine…." Jewel spoke. "Y-you d-didn't know."
Dear Arceus, what the hell happened to them?...
The drive home was silent. The silent didn't last for too long, as their destination came closer and closer. When they reached the entrance, Tyler turned left and went up the street towards his neighborhood, his and his friend's house getting close. As he reached it, he moved his car up the driveway and parked it. After shutting of his engine, he reached over to open the passenger side door.
"We're here. Let's go." He said while stepping out of the car. The girls followed and both jumped out of the car. As they did, he went over to them. Immediately, he picked them up and hugged tightly.
"I'm sorry for being so insensitive, girls. I didn't mean to upset you two." He said softly.
"It's ok, Tyler. But thank you for saving us." Jewel said with a small smile, eyes full of hope and reassurance.
"Y-yes, s-sir. I-it's ok. I-I'm v-very grateful for helping us." Autumn added, rubbing her head lightly on his cheek.
"Thank you, girls. Now, let's get inside." He said while getting up and heading to the trunk. He opened it and grabbed his groceries. He walked up to the door and knocked
*knock**knock**smack*
Suddenly, the door opened and Tyler accidentally knocked Samuel on the face, getting him to groan and Tyler to laugh, followed by light chuckles from Autumn and Jewel.
"Ow! Fucking 'ell… Where have you been, dude? What took you so long?" Samuel asked, rubbing his face.
"See, I was about to explain that to you, but somebody decided to hang up." Tyler said, raising an eyebrow at Samuel. He chuckled.
"Hey, there you are, Tyler." Josh added, getting off the couch and walking towards the door. "Might I ask as well, what took you so long?"
Tyler nodded then stepped to the side, revealing Jewel and Autumn who stood behind him. "Jewel, Autumn, meet my friends Sam and Josh." Tyler spoke while pointing a finger at Samuel and then to Josh.
"Hello, Samuel and Josh." Jewel said, still a bit nervously.
"H-hi, M-mister S-samuel a-a-and m-mister Josh." Autumn stuttered, much more nervously.
"Hello to you t- Wait…did they just talk!?" Samuel exclaimed, visibly shocked. Josh, however, was calmer. "Woah, never heard Pokemon speak before. That's pretty cool." He remarked, showing a small grin. "It's a pleasure to meet you two."
Hearing the commotion, Helios and Ruby got up from the couch and went over to the front door, looking at the two newcomers with curiosity and excitement. Tyler never had Pokemon before and they knew that. It got boring with just the two of them in the house, so more company is much appreciated.
"Hound! Houndoom!" Helios yipped happily, getting down to eye level with the pair, tail wagging excitedly.
"Ab absol! Sol sol!" Ruby exclaimed, giving them a toothy grin with closed eyes.
"Oh! That reminds me." Tyler exclaimed, reaching into his pocket and pulling out the translators. "I got these for your Pokemon, fellas. They're Pokespeech translators. You just need to attach them on."
"Hold on, hold on. Translators? Those things exist? Arceus-damn!" Samuel replied, grabbing one and attaching it on to Helios. "There, try speaking buddy."
"Sure thing, Sam." A fairly masculine, yet polite voice responded, getting Samuel to laugh excitedly. "It works! Holy shit!" Seeing his friend's reaction, Josh attached his to Ruby. "Try speaking, Ruby."
"Hello! I'm Ruby!" A playful, feminine voice said. Josh smiled and hugged Ruby. "Damn, this is great." He muttered, stroking Ruby's fur, eliciting a contempt purr from her. Tyler grinned at the scene before him.
Dang, that went better than I thought. Never seen Sam this happy, ever since prom.
"Oh yeah, almost forgot. Ty, you're parts arrived earlier. They're in the garage." Samuel spoke, in which Tyler responded with a grin. "Also, before you ask, no. I didn't do anything to them."
"Alright! Finally, I can get started on my build." Tyler exclaimed excitedly.
"Hey, Tyler. What are you building?" Jewel asked, with a confused look on her face.
"My car. A build is a term used to describe a modified car." Tyler explained. Jewel made an O with her mouth and nodded. "Uh-h, m-mister Tyler, w-what's a 'car'?"
Tyler chuckled, before responding. "Well, remember the thing that we rode here? The one I was controlling?" Autumn nodded. "That's a car, specifically my car. A car is used by humans to travel easily. Some humans, like us three, find them exciting and fun." Autumn seemed content with that answer, giving a small smile. "O-oh I see, thank you for the explanation mister Tyler."
Tyler smiled. "No problem, Autumn. Also, you can just call me Tyler. No need for formalities here, if you hadn't guessed yet." He said, while tilting his head towards Samuel, who was playing around with Helios, laughing uproariously in the process.
"A-alright, Mis- I mean, Tyler." Autumn said softly. Tyler pet both of his Pokemon before getting up and walking over to Josh.
"Hey Josh. Mind helping me out with the build?" Tyler asked, which Josh nodded in response. "Sure, let's get started today." Tyler nodded and turned around, facing the girls. "Hey, I'm gonna head on over to the garage now, go ahead and make yourselves comfortable. You can come look if you want, too."
"Alright, Tyler!" Jewel replied happily, stretching out and enjoying the warmth of the house. "See you later!" She added.
With that, Tyler and Josh headed in the garage. Jewel turned to Autumn, a small smile on her face. "Wow…I'm so glad."
"H-huh? What do you mean?" Autumn asked.
"I mean…I never thought I'd survive yesterday…I really thought I was gonna die." Jewel responded, tears building up in her eyes. "Thank you for saving me too, Autumn…"
"I-t's fine, Jewel. I-I just f-felt like it was the right thing…" Autumn said nervously, also on the verge of tears. They both hugged each other. After breaking the hug, they moved towards the couch and sat there, in pure relaxation. They were soon joined by Samuel and Helios, with Ruby joining them after that.
…
(9 hours ago, Verity Lakefront)
"You fucking piece of trash! How the fuck did you lose to fucking Starly?!" A boy yelled, with small whimpering following the insults. "Why did I bother with trash like you?" He hissed, kicking the creature in the stomach, causing it to yelp and cry in pain.
Please…please stop…stop!
"E-eevee! Eev-" Jewel shrieked in sudden pain, as she was kicked again, harder than before. Tears streamed down her face. She knew there were good humans and bad humans, as shown by sympathetic smiles and the good intentioned scolding given by other trainers towards her own. Sadly, her trainer was anything but good.
"Shut up! You will shut up and get fucking stronger or else I'll-" He said, before falling down on the ground, clutching his stomach in pain. Then, a familiar Vulpix came dashing towards Jewel.
"C-come on! Let's g-go!" Autumn yelled, begging Jewel to follow her. Instantly, Jewel staggered to her feet and ran with her, yelping in pain. This was not the end however, as her trainer got up and began chasing the pair through the forest, all while shrieking "Get back here! Now!"
They both ran as fast as they could, never looking back. They failed to notice the sudden drop however, as they fell a few meters of a fairly rugged slope, tumbling down it harshly. Luckily, Jewel's trainer lost sight of them and ran into a different direction.
Sprawled out across the ground, the pair found it hard to get up. Nevertheless, Autumn limped over to Jewel.
"H-hey…a-are you o-okay?..." She said between gasps of pain. Jewel responded by coughing and groaning, followed by light shivering, as the air got colder and snow started to fall. Thinking quickly, Autumn snuggled close to Jewel to share her body heat. Slowly, both of them fell unconscious, in the snow pile, located fairly close to the highway.
That's it for this chapter! Hope you guys enjoyed and I'll be seeing you all in the next one! Peace!
