Summary: The One on One Matches begin

As the fights begin, which the matches were drawn by lottery, Bryant finds himself pretty worn out by now with how much of a toll the Cavalry Battle took on both him and his watch. Momo walks over to him to his delight, "You looking forward to this part of the festival"? He gestates, "So-so. I am, but I'm not in a manner of speaking. But unlike the last these are one on one battles so, not going against a whole army of superpowered people and being restricted to just a handful will be nice". Shoto, Izuku, Katsuki and of course Bryant's teams all placed the highest so therefore those are the contestants.
Shinso vs Midoriya was first for the rounds, but before the battle itself, Allen catches up and stops him, "Izuku"? He looks him in the face, "Yeah". Bryant gives him a deal breaker, "His power to mind control people only works if they speak to his questions. So whatever you do, don't talk to him". Midoriya nods, "Thanks for the information Allen". During the fight, Izuku doesn't speak at all and it's more or less wrestling as they clash physically, with broccoli haired Deku being way too strong for the not combat savvy Hitoshi. The latter is shoved right out of the ring to his anger, and after that he even vows that he'll come back, better.
Todoroki and Sero are next, but there was hardly ever a chance. The second Hanta sends tape at Shoto, he just freezes it and in a fit of sorts he unleashes a wave of ice that engulfs all but Sero's face. Denki faces off against Ibara, but while it would seem it would be interesting, really Shiozaki insulates all his attacks with her thorny hair, coiling him up with it to the point his brain fries. Mei is unique in her approach, as though she got her reward by getting to the finals, she never actually fights and instead uses inventions already planted on Tenya to showcase her prowess. Tenya is of course pissed but it phases Mei little, who looks directly up to the so called bigwigs towards the top of the stadium. After all of that she simply walks off, forfeiting the fight itself to Ida's extra anger and fixation with honor.
Yaoyorozu is next and her opponent is Tokoyami. Bryant makes damn sure to stop her, grabbing her by the shoulder, "Hold up Momo". She turns around and listens, "Yeah, what is it"? You know how to make an industrial flashlight with LEDs"? She shakes her head, "No". He gets his watch ready, "Well I'll help you with that". He turns into Intellectual and she picks him up, "You've got time before the match, so let me give you the schematics so you can build one". Over the course of about five minutes, he gives her his knowledge and he turns back, "That should be enough to beat Fumikage". She hesitates, "It's not exactly fair to have been given help". He justifies it to her, "I just gave you the know how. You''l be the one making it. Just watch your footing and you'll be okay".
He takes her hand gently, "Listen um...good luck". She shakes it, whether that was his intention or not, "Thanks. I'll make sure I don't squander this". As the round begins, the shadow emerges and she creates the flashlight as instructed, from her body. Also making a shield, she turns on the light and shines it directly at the shadow, so much in fact that it goes back into Fumikage. Yaoyorozu runs at him and clashes with her shield, shoving him back, but even with all that, Tokoyami finds the willpower to summon his minion again, and just as she is about to win, the shadow uses the advantage of being at the edge already to grab and toss her behind them, and out of the ring.
Fumikage is declared victor, to Yaoyorozu's shame, and after the match ends, Bryant heads on over. "Are you okay", he asks. She wipes away some minor tears, "Yeah, I am actually. I had a fighting chance and I nearly won. I guess no one would've expected he could regenerate dark shadow so quickly". Allen inquires, "You're really not upset"? She shakes her head, "No. Because with my quirk and your help too, I could've done it. I just made a little mistake". She smiles, "Thanks you for your encouragement". He smiles back, "It's not something you haven't earned". The next competitors are Eijiro vs Tetsutetsu. As they face each other it looks like theyboth want to rip the other's head off.
After a long five minutes scuffle, they actually both knock each other out, due to having similar powers. A few people laugh, including Bryant, as their fists collide into each other's faces. To break the tie, they have an arm wrestling competition, and Kirishima wins rather easily. Regardless though, the two seem to have newfound respect for the other as they shake hands before parting. At last it's Bryant's turn, against Mina. Ashido and him meet up for the time being before the match, "I won't go easy on you, and I bet you won't either. But good luck in the fight". She says much the same, "No way I'll go down without trying after getting this far. But same goes for you, good luck. Though I probably don't need to say that".
As the match begins she skates towards him on her acidic soles, while unflinching, he turns into Rockhard. As she bumps into him, she is knocked back, while he stands tall, literally. She tries to splash acid on him directly, but to no effect, "Sorry Mina, but a little trivia. Acid doesn't affect diamond". He picks her up over his shoulder and walks over to the edge, with Ashido kicking and struggling. Once there, he simply drops her over, and just like that, the match is won. She pouts a little as he turns back, "Not fair. I didn't know that. Besides, you wouldn't have gotten such an easy win if you picked someone else".
He nods, "Yeah, I suppose. But I just wanted to pick the best one for the situation. It's how I operate. Tell you what, if you to slug me, be my guest". She declines, "Nah, I'll just get over it. But next time, at least give me a chance"? He agrees and they shake, "Okay". Last for the first round, is Uraraka vs Bakugo, and it was going to be savage. As the two face each other, Ochaco rather stupidly, tries to run at him head on, only getting an explosion for her troubles. During another explosion, she seems to smarten up as she uses the smoke from said explosion, and removing some clothes as a distraction, but Katsuki is too fast, just giving her another blast.
Izuku looks concerned, while Uravity grins and activates her power, having accumulated a bunch of rocks from the blasts. As the debris come toppling down, Bakugo gives such an intense blast , it knocks back Ochaco as she tries to get in for a touch. At this point, Bakugo is irritated and in a barrage of explosions, practically annihilates her, to the point where she can barely stand. As she walks slowly towards him, Bryant decides to do something out of concern, activating his watch, "That motherfucker is going to kill her at this point". He selects the form he got from Tetsutetsu and prepares to go down there himself. His body bloats up as his DNA structure rewrites itself.
His legs become short and stubby with three toe claws, while his arms become bulky and end in four clawed fingers with a thumb of sorts. His mouth enlarges and his eyes move apart, becoming yellow and pupiless. His face becomes his body basically, as his neck, waist and head all become one, attached to the arms and legs. Lastly, almost his entire body is covered in yellow armored, spherical plating. Two on the sides of his legs, two atop his face, two on his elbows, and then the entire back is covered in them. He doesn't have much time, and on instinct, he ends up rolling into an indestructible ball, rolling down the stairs of the bleachers and bouncing down into the battleground.
As Katsuki is about to finish her with an explosion, and even Midnight starts coming over, Bryant opens up briefly and takes her inside of his shell as the explosion hits him instead. Allen proceeds to run over Katsuki as he makes way to the nurse's office. Everyone in the stadiumjust watches as it all unfolds, and both Midnight and Bakugo are left behind. Rolling into the school, he exist balls form and turns back, as he can't fit into the doors properly. Ochaco starts speaking, half conscious, "No...I can win. For mom and dad. Please, bring me back". Bryant refuses, "You're bruised and bleeding on your head and shoulder. No way in Hell". He lies her on the bed, where she starts to pass out, "NURSE! Recovery Girl"?
Recovery Girl comes in, and immediately starts her work, "Will she be alright"? The nurse nods, "Yes. Just please step outside while I tend to her". Sitting out in the waiting room, Izuku, Momo and the others come in. "Is Uraraka okay", he asks. Allen shrugs, "I don't know. Hope so". Midoriya walks over to Bryant, "Thank you". He asks, "For what"? Izuku explains the obvious, "For helping her. Kacchan might've hurt her severely if he got off another explosion". Izukua sits down, and Allen decides to pop a question, "Why are you friends with him"? Deku replies, "It's, complicated. We were friends since elementary". Bryant glares, "I don't believe you". Turning into Energizer, he starts to read his mind. Inside he finds those memories. Bakugo's relentless bullying over and over and over, all the way up into now.
Allen turns backs and is disgusted, shaking his head, "You're too naive Izuku. That sack of crap have been tormenting you ever since you were little. Just because he has a strong power. So tell me for real. Why"? Midoriya sighs, "I believe there's good in everyone. I like to give them a chance. I don't think Kacchan is as bad as everyone thinks. I think he's got a good side to him too". Allen rolls his eyes, "Yeah, well I ain't seen it yet myself. But let me tell you something. Some people are set in their ways, and you can't change them. What you see is what you get. So until the day he 'opens up', he's still nothing more than an egomaniac who's just as relentless on girls as he is on you and me". Recovery Girl comes out and everyone heads in.
Izukua and Bryant head over, "You okay, Uraraka", asks Midoriya. She has tears in her eyes, "I'm fine Deku. But...I failed my parents". Izuku denies that, "They won't care if you won or lost the contest Uraraka. What matters is that you tried". She smiles, "Nice of you to say, but it's just my own personal feelings. Who knows, maybe you're right though". She turns her head to Allen, "Thank you, for, you know, getting me to the nurse's". He nods, "Don't mention it. You were hurt bad, and I didn't want to see you get killed". Ochaco responds, "Midnight wouldn't have let that happen. But, really, thank you. I am glad you helped me out there. I just wish you didn't have to". All Might shows up to everyone's surprise, and waves down Bryant.
He heads over, "I'm disqualified, right"? He shakes his head, "No. Given, intervention isn't allowed, but you made a noble little risk. Me and Nezu discussed it and so, you're free to go to the next round". Bryant asks, "Is there anything else you came to say sir"? He goes on, "Like I said. You did a noble thing. I wanted to just say personally, good job". Allen is lit with praise, hearing it comes from All Might himself, "It means a lot sir. Thanks you". As he leaves, Bryant goes to do the same, until Momo stops him this time. He looks her in the gray eyes, "Yeah"? She tells him, "I just wanted to let you know. From all of us really. You're a good friend, and I think with your mindset you'll make a great Hero". Hearing this from her means a lot to him, "I, appreciate it Momo. I think you will too". Sharing their mutual friendship, he and the rest of them, minus Ochaco, return to the stadium.
