Summary: Omni faces a new foe along with letting Endeavor know just how he feels about him.
Note: Possibly my favorite villain from the show appears. So, time to do him justice if I can.
Up on the podium, Katsuki glares at Bryant the whole time, while Shoto and him await patiently, as All Might himself hands off the medals. He hands the bronze to Bakugo first, "For your unrelenting prowess in the during the contest, I present you with this bronze medal. You show great skill and potential for being a Hero, but, you must control that temper of yours. If not, a villain may catch you off guard". A round of applause is heard for Bakugo, as Toshinori moves to Shoto, "For your eagerness to use your quirk to it's best, I present you with this silver medal. Your quirk is one of the strongest I've seen in recent years, if not in my whole career as a Hero I have to admit. Young Todoroki, I see great things in your future. You may not have won first place, but you most definitely won my respect".
Another round of applause is heard throughout as Shoto is cheered on to his minor excitement. Lastly, Yagi walks up to face Bryant with his hundred dollar smile he always wears, "Young Allen. For your victory in not only this series of battles, but for the Festival as a whole, I present you this gold medal. I've never seen such power like yours before, rivaling even me or All for One. That said, you show tremendous promise as a Pro Hero, and I hope to see you there one day". As Bryant heads towards his friends, he gets sidetracked briefly, as he hears Enji under the bleachers.
"You almost had him Shoto, what happened? You could've easily taken him down". Todoroki states bluntly, "He was simply much more powerful. But either way, I shouldn't need to defend my actions. The outcome is done". Bryant heads over, "What's going on here"? Enji snaps, "Nothing to do with you. Leave me and my son to our conversation". Shoto explains, "My father thinks I could've done better with the Festival. That the gold medal was in my grasp. I'm telling him otherwise". Endeavor blurts, "You finally use the half of the quirk given by me and THIS is what you pull off? Perhaps you need better training". He takes Shoto's arm but he shrugs it off, and Bryant intervenes as well.
"He's your son you scumbag. In fact...I saw EVERY horrible thing you've ever done to your son through his memories. Mental and physical abuse to not just him, but his mother. For all I know, none of your children were safe". Enji is angered by this, "You dare to make accusations like this towards the number 2 Hero in Japan"? Omni holds his ground, "Yes, I do. In fact, your son here is only as good as his mother raised him. Because guess what...I met your other son". Endeavor's eyes widen, "What did you say"? Bryant nods, "You heard me. I met Toya. A broken down psychopath who wants to kill his whole family. I guarantee that was somehow your doing".
Endeavor is shocked, "Toya is alive...but how"? Bryant himself snaps, "Doesn't matter how. You're a horrible father, and borderline a horrible person. So you stay away from Shoto, got it? Because he's my friend, and I protect my friends". Shoto is taken aback by what Allen just said, while Enji counters, "Well he's in MY custody, and he's my son. So whatever you claim has no weight here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go speak with Nezu". As Omni goes to walk away, Todoroki questions him, "Did you mean what you said"? Bryant turns around, "Me? Yeah, of course. You saw what I did to Katsuki. If your father was in the contest I would've been unrelenting". Shoto reiterates, "But, you really meant what you said about caring for my protection"?
Bryant responds, "Yeah, of course. Like I said, you're a good man Shoto. You don't deserve the hand you've been dealt, and as such you could use a friend. I'm willing to be that...if you let me". Shoto outstretches his hand, and Allen looks at it, "Yeah"? Todoroki tells him, "I accept your friendship". Bryant shakes it, "Well, okay. Friendship must be a foreign concept huh"? He admits, "I don't socialize much". Omni brings him in with a hug, "Here. How about this"? Todoroki looks around, "That right there, is affection. Friends hug each other to cheer the other up. So, there you go". Shoto is still confused, "Ahem. Well...thanks I guess. I am, well I'm grateful to know someone cares. Other than just my family".
Allen tells him, "The other care too, they just haven't made it formal. Talk to them sometime, I know Momo has mentioned you at least a couple times. Plus Mina thinks you're handsome I'm pretty sure. Also to be fair, I have to agree with her that you're a pretty good looking dude. Anyways, good luck with your father. You need help with him just let me know. I'm going to see my other friends, so let me know if you want to join". Shoto decides to take him up on that and starts to talk with Momo first while he sees the others.
"Hey Kyoka. What'd you think"? She admits, "I have to give you this, seeing you beat Todoroki was something else. I mean he and Bakugo have the some of the strongest quirks in UA, and you just basically creamed them. I'd say you didn't pretty damn good". Izuku heads over next, "No hard feelings, right", he asks Midoriya. He shakes his head, "No, of course not. I actually enjoyed it a little, minus the broken fingers. You did good". Ochaco chimes in, finally recovered fully, "I bet you did. Thanks again for taking me to the nurse". Bryant inquires, "Hey, how'd it go with your parents"? She smiles, "They said it didn't matter. They're just happy I made it this far and to keep doing my best. I won't let them down". Allen smiles back, "I'm glad to hear it. You two take care".
He goes to Ashido, as Yaoyorozu is still speaking with Todoorki, "Mina. Enjoy the show"? She gestates her fists in front of her face, "Did I? That was one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile. Snow storms, glaciers, a big ball of fire". He gets a little embarrassed, "Yeah, it was wasn't it"? She walks over to him, "Oh, and about that kiss your clone gave me". He rubs the back of his head, "Yeah, well, he was probably grateful you caught him. Wasn't me...or maybe it was subconsciously, not sure. Anyways I…". She kisses him on the cheek again, "There, now we're even", she winks. Bryant swoons a little, "Heh heh". He finally goes over to Momo as Shoto mingles with the others.
"Hi...Momo". She smiles, "Hi. Let me guess, you want to know what I thought"? He just nods, "Well, I have to say after watching the whole thing...you did great. Honestly I had few doubts with what you can do. But still, going up against those three boys isn't any easy feat. Oh, and I heard what you did for Shoto. That was really nice of you". He averts his eyes from hers, "Yeah well, you're a good influence. You inspire me". Creati is flattered, "Well, that's what I strive to do. Listen, if you ever need tutoring, you're welcome to visit me along with the others. You're obviously smart as is but it couldn't hurt". He accepts, "Yeah, I might take you up on that. You...being a really smart girl and all. Plus I can't rely on Intellectual for everything".
After speaking with all his friends including his new one, he goes for a drink of water from the fountain in the halls under the stadium. With everyone still mingling he takes a sip of water and in that time span he encounters something unexpected as the air chills around him, "Brr, it's nearly summer, what the hell"? Looking around, he shrugs and starts walking until he reaches the hall exit, but is stopped just before leaving by a familiar whispery voice, "Hello Allen". He turns around and there, floating in front of him, is Spectral, or at least it seems.
"Spectral? But how are you...where did you? How are you out of my watch"? He laughs evilly, "An inferior copy, nothing more". Allen definitely has questions, "What do you mean"? The ghost explains, "That Ectonurite inside your watch is nothing more than a fabrication composed of my DNA. When I was trapped in there for all those decades it preserved me. A single strand of my DNA used to create that 'Spectral' form you deem, was enough to resuscitate me". Omni asks more than, "Then who are you? How did you escape in the first place"? He indulges his 'human inferior', "I am the High Lord Ectornurite, Zs'Skayr. When you first transformed into an Ectonurite, 'me', I was released from the Omnitrix during the brief window of time afforded between your transformation".
Allen gets serious, "Okay then, what's an Ectonurite? Tell me about this watch". Zs'Skayr chuckles more, "I'm not here to educate you on the inner workings of the Omnitrix. But I will indulge your curiosity of my kind. Ectonurites hail from a planet called Anur Phaetos, where there is only darkness. We spread to Anur Transyl lifetimes ago and every one of my species answers to ME". He throws him another question, "But why let yourself get sucked in the watch"? The ghost responds, "To gain access to the Omnitrix. I hadn't realized the consequences of being integrated within the watch until after the matter. But now with it in use I'm free". Bryant gets down to brass tacks, "Okay then, that leads me to a more pressing question considering we're even having this conversation. What do you want"? Zs'Skayr admits, "I admire your perception, so I'll state plainly. I want the Omnitrix"!
"What do plan to do with it exactly"? He gives away his evil plan, believing Bryant is screwed anyways, "I will take over your body permanently and use the Omnitrix to conquer the universe and place it into everlasting darkness. With the Omnitrix I'll be unstoppable". He tries getting more information out of the specter, "Why do you need my watch for that"? He tells him, "You're obviously aware of the Evolution Feature integrated within the Omnitrix. Being it can evolve any being minus a few, an Evolved Ectonurite form combined with abyssal darkness and access to every alien throughout the universe will make me omnipotent".
"But enough talk. Time to reveal my true self". He proceeds to sprout four fingered knife claws out of his hands that pierce the skin, while his tentacles are now fully exposed upon ripping open his chest skin. The last thing to go is the head skin layer and underneath is a demonic looking, half human shaped skull with only one eye and twisted 180 degrees lined with crooked and jagged teeth. Bryant's eyes widen, "Jesus Christ, what the fuck are you"?! He flies right up into Allen's space, "Haven't you been listening? I am the High Ecto Lord Zs'Skayr, and you are going to help me obtain my new vessel". Omni books it straight for the hall but the spirit goes through the wall to cut him off.
Realizing he's also right next to the exit he changes directions and runs right outside to the stadium, with Zs'Skayr in hot pursuit. Reaching the light, the ghost reaches out to snag him but quickly retracts it when his whole arm smokes and burns. "GAHHH", he screams in pain. In an instant Zs'Skayr retreats back into the hallways, vanishing from sight to both Bryant's relief and worry, "Holy shit, I've got to warn everyone". He makes a beeline back to the crowded stadium and doesn't dare look back.
