Samuel: *smacks steering wheel* Oh come on! That shit isn't fair! How was I supposed to know the CLK GTR takes off like a fucking plane?!

BM: I mean, haven't you watched the actual crash on YouTube? It has like, what, 3.5 mil views? *bites snickers bar*

Samuel: *turns around* WOAH WHAT THE F-

BM: *fingersnap* Damn, you're much more annoying than Josh… Anyways, welcome back fellas! It's me, bruhmeister, here with a brand new chapter of Roadtrip! And with that, it marks the end of my finals! Whoopee!

BM: Now that my finals are out of the way, I should be uploading fairly consistently now. If that's not a reason to celebrate, then you're….probably right. Aside from that, I've also been brainstorming a new fic! I'm still on the fence in terms of doing it or not, let's just see. With all of that outta the way, let's pick up where we left off!

"All that happened while we were still healing up? Damn." Jewel sighed after listening to Tyler's fairly lengthy story. "I'm really glad you didn't get hurt at all."

"Yeah…I was really scared when I smelt b-blood… I thought you'd gotten hurt…" Autumn whimpered, showing a relieved smile after. "Happy to see I was wrong."

"Aw, thank you to the both of you for being concerned for me. I'm flattered." Tyler chuckled before petting both Jewel and Autumn between their ears, both of them enjoying his touch. Unfortunately, the sound of their stomach growling promptly ended the petting session, substituting it for laughter.

"Alright, let's get some grub. I also wanna check up on the Zorua later. Though, I do wonder…" Tyler spoke, grabbing his phone out of his pocket. After a few taps and a short typing sequence, a confused look went across his face, which Jewel noticed.

"What's up Tyler? Got something interesting?" She asked as she went over to his side to glance at his phone. Autumn tilted her head a bit before joining. "Tyler?" She asked.

"So, according to the NatDex, Zorua normally only live in Unova. Though there have been very rare sightings in a few regions. I wonder how this one ended up in Sinnoh?" Tyler questioned while scratching his chin.

"That does sound pretty strange…" Jewel commented while using one of her ribbons to mimic Tyler's actions. Autumn pondered for a bit before perking up, getting both of their attention.

"This is just an idea, but maybe she ran away from her home? Or maybe she was taken away? I'm not too sure though…" Autumn proposed nervously, unsure of the validity of her theory.

"Whatever it might be, we should ask her when she finishes healing. If she wants to of course." Tyler spoke, gaining nods of approval from the girls. "Well, let's go get dinner." Tyler spoke as the girls both followed.

A few minutes and a scarf change later, the trio walked down the street, this time going the opposite way from Tyler's first venture. Autumn sat comfortably on his shoulder with Jewel flanking his left side.

"Oh yeah, almost forgot. There's a large museum in Oreburgh, coincidentally one of the largest out of all of the regions. It'd be a shame to not visit while we're in town, so we'll probably visit there tomorrow, sound good?" Tyler asked, glancing to his shoulder, awaiting their answers.

"A museum huh? I've never been in one. What are they like?" Jewel asked. Autumn nodded before speaking up. "I also don't know what a museum's like…"

"Well, a museum traditionally is a building whose purpose is to store and preserve historical artefacts and stuff. So typically in a museum, you can find stuff like old stones, ancient writing and other stuff like that." Tyler explained with Jewel nodding in response. Autumn however had stars in her eyes that shone with excitement.

"Woah, that sounds cool!" Autumn squeaked, Tyler chuckling and petting her in response. "Didn't know you were the learning type." He commented in which Jewel agreed.

"Well…You have to learn a lot when you're trying to survive…I just also happen to find it fun too." Autumn added through her slight blush. Jewel giggled at her rosy cheeks and Tyler chuckled.

A short while later, the trio found themselves in front of the entrance to a food court. The court was quite large, spanning the area of roughly half a football field. The ground was paved with red garden bricks, the type found in parks. Paper lanterns hung from suspended wires which made a simple lattice. Metal seats and tables were strewn about the place, quite a lot of them already occupied by both people and Pokemon alike. Various food stalls could be seen all throughout the court, which filled the air with a delicious scent.

"This should do. Pretty good." Tyler whistled, impressed. Jewel eyed all of the stalls while drooling a bit. Autumn responded with a fairly louder stomach growl, covering her face with her tails as she blushed.

The trio walked inside and took a good look at the stalls. They offered a large variety of food, from desserts like Poke Puffs and ice cream to large dishes like full on hotpots and meat platters.

They walked around and thought about their orders. After a few minutes, Tyler spoke up. "Alright, girls, thought of what you might want?"

"That looks pretty good." Jewel spoke as she pointed to a stall that served doner kebabs, complete with a rotating hunk of meat. "Ah, doner kebab for you then. And how about you, Autumn?"

"Well, that one over there looked pretty good." Autumn pointed to a stall that served chili. "Alright, chili it is. I think I'll just have some ramen." Tyler spoke as he pointed his thumb towards the ramen stall.

Roughly fifteen minutes of ordering, paying and collecting later, the trio sat around the table which contained all their food. Jewel's kebab smelled heavenly, Autumn's chili looked spicy and savory and Tyler's ramen looked warm and hearty.

"Ah, we forgot drinks. I think I'll just get some water, how about you two?" Tyler asked, both of them agreeing to his choice. "Alright, just wait here. I'll be back in a sec."

Tyler spotted a vending machine and made his way over to it. As he did however, he bumped into someone fairly hard, but not enough to make them both stumble.

"Hey, watch it dipshit!" The masculine yet somewhat high pitched voice grunted, which came from the person. He had blue hair which was shaped into a crescent like shape that faced upwards and light blue eyes, which were currently full of annoyance.

"Erk, sorry buddy. My bad." Tyler apologized before making his way to the machine, glancing back once at the person who sat with a purple haired woman. Tyler shrugged and deposited his money and purchased three bottles of water.

Upon making his return, Tyler noticed that Jewel had already eaten more than half of her kebab and Autumn looked a bit flustered as she ate her chili, probably due to the spiciness. Tyler sat back down and enjoyed his meal.

A few minutes later, they all had finished eating. Jewel had a look of satisfaction on her face, Autumn was still sweating a tiny bit and Tyler let out a burp, which caused Jewel to look at him in disgust.

"Heh, sorry about that. Gotta let it go sometimes." Tyler sheepishly smiled and scratched the back of his head. "Anyways, we should probably head back."

Autumn yawned before speaking up. "Yeah, I'm a bit tired." Jewel nodded as she was fairly tired herself. "Mhmm, we probably should. But…I don't wanna walk back…"

"Oh don't worry. I have an idea." Tyler smirked as he looked at a perplexed Jewel. He went over and picked her up under his armpit, taking her by surprise. Jewel let out an adorable "Eep!" as he held her, much to Autumn's amusement.

Autumn leapt on to Tyler's shoulder and the three of them made their way back to the Pokecenter. Upon entering, Tyler went back to the front desk.

"Hello, how can I help you?"

"Hey, I'm back to check on the Zorua that I brought in. I hope she's okay."

"Oh, don't worry, sir. She's fine. We checked up on her right after you brought her in and thankfully the only major injury is her leg. No hemorrhages. She should be good to go by tomorrow."

"Phew, alright. I'll check up on her in the morning. Thank you."

"No problem, sir."

Tyler nodded and went to the elevator. During the ride up, Jewel spoke up. "So, what are we gonna do with the Zorua?"

"Well, I promised to let her go. But I'll still offer her to join us if she wants to. I'm concerned with her safety in the wild, but I don't want to keep her here against her choice." Tyler explained, before ruffling Autumn's head fur and scratching Jewel under her chin. "Just like what I did with you two."

"Mhmm…" Jewel murmured, nuzzling Tyler's side. Autumn let out another yawn right before the doors opened. The trio stepped outside and entered their room.

A quick clothing change later, the trio crawled into bed and dozed off one by one, with Autumn going first, followed by Tyler and Jewel.

"Why the fuck are we here?"

"Recently, a strange fossil was excavated from the coal mine here in Oreburgh. Though nobody knows what the hell it is, Cyrus does. Though, he won't say what it is. He ordered us to find it and take it. Nothing more, nothing less."

"That's it? A fucking slab of rock?"

"Don't be an idiot, Saturn. A fossil isn't just a slab of rock. It contains the essence of an ancient Pokemon. That essence with the right technology can be resurrected into a living Pokemon. Though, with that same technology, we can harness that essence for pure power."

"And where did you get this information, smartass?"

"It's because I pay attention to the meetings. You should too, if you want to be more to everyone else rather than a waste of space."

"Fuck you, Jupiter."

"Say what you want, we have to focus to the task at hand."

The next morning, sunlight broke through the blinds in Tyler's room. It shone brightly on Autumn's and his face, with only the latter waking up since the former was a Fire type that didn't mind the sun. Tyler sat up in bed and yawned before stretching his limbs. This however, also had the side effect of waking up both girls.

"Hoahh….Morning, girls. Did you two sleep well?" Tyler yawned again before getting up from the bed. Jewel rolled over and fell off the bed onto the carpet, groaning an affirmative response. Autumn simply fluttered her eyes open before looking towards Tyler, who was rummaging his backpack for some fresh clothes.

"Yeah…your chest was nice…" Autumn mumbled before leaping off the bed, accidentally landing on Jewel in the process, causing her to yelp in surprise. Tyler chuckled as Jewel gave Autumn a hard glare, with her only smiling sheepishly in response.

Three baths and a change of clothes later, the trio stepped outside of their room. Tyler decided on wearing a gray long sleeved top and a parka, accompanied by brown jeans. Apparently, the Zorua hadn't finished healing yet, so the nurse asked Tyler to check back in a couple of hours. After exiting the Pokecenter, they began walking down the street in the same direction last night.

"So, where's the museum exactly?" Jewel asked while Autumn followed behind her. "Hold on, lemme check…" Tyler spoke while holding a finger in the air and grabbing his phone with his other hand. A quick type into the map application later, he got what he needed.

"Alright, so it says here that the Oreburgh Museum is located on 7 Hillman Street in the Fairbank district. It's not that far away, as it's only roughly a ten minute walk if we follow the directions. So, let's go!" Tyler exclaimed with excitement to add some pep in their step, which worked as the trio began speed walking towards the museum.

After somehow getting lost and spending an extra ten minutes, they stood in front of the entrance to the museum. All three of them were in awe at the size of the place, with Tyler whistling, Jewel making an 'o' with her mouth and Autumn with stars in her eyes.

"It's a lot bigger than I thought…" Autumn muttered as Tyler tried to hold back his chuckle and Jewel let out a "pfft" in response. Autumn glanced at both of them in confusion for a bit before looking back at the building. A few moments later, the trio walked inside.

The main hall was full of flat glass exhibits, mostly old artefacts and manuscripts obtained from the coal mine and the nearby area. There were also various upright glass cases in a range of sizes, from small ones with odd looking rocks and small fossils to large ones with full skeletons of various Pokemon, both still present and extinct.

"Wooh, it's even better inside." Tyler commented, still impressed. "Mhmm! It's really cool!" Jewel yipped as she eyed a large slab of stone with odd markings on it, trying her best to read it, though failing miserably. Autumn on the other hand was sitting down and looking at an exhibit about Ninetales, with both forms represented. Tyler noticed and made his way to her.

"Hey, Tyler. Can I really evolve to that?" Autumn asked as she noticed Tyler standing beside her. Tyler gave her a slightly confused expression before nodding.

"Yeah, you can. Though, I thought you already knew that?" Tyler confirmed. "Since your paren- oh. Uh, sorry." He apologized after realizing his mistake. Autumn sighed before her excited gaze returned.

"I wonder how though…" She added while she tapped her paw onto her chin, deep in thought. Tyler perked up and grabbed his phone and opened the Pokedex app, scrolling down to the entry labeled 'Vulpix'. He checked the 'Evolution' tab and took in the required information, before pocketing his phone again.

Don't worry, Autumn. I'll help you evolve.

Suddenly, an alarm rang throughout the building, shocking the trio in their places. Tyler looked around for the cause while Jewel entered a defensive stance, looking around as well. Autumn followed suit.

"What the hell? What's going on?" Tyler muttered as he clenched his fist at the feeling of danger. Tyler was definitely a better trainer than a fighter, but he could hold his own fairly well. His dad didn't just train him in Pokemon battles.

Loud footsteps grabbed his attention, which moved his gaze towards a figure that ran down the hall as he was being chased by a few people. He wore a gray and white jumpsuit with a stylized G in the middle and was holding a brown case roughly the size of a briefcase.

Tyler immediately the deduced him as the cause and ran towards him before tackling him. The person kicked him off before he was joined by two others in similar outfits.

"Who the fuck are you!?" Tyler grunted as he noticed that the object in the case was a fossil of an ancient Pokemon. The person scoffed before running to Tyler's right, his two colleagues releasing their Pokemon, a Stunky and two Glameow. Just before Tyler could command his Pokemon, a voice yelled out behind him. Tyler glanced back and spotted Roark tossing his Pokeballs, releasing his own Pokemon.

"Tyler! Go after him, I'll hold these clowns back!" He yelled, with Tyler simply nodding. "C'mon girls!" He yelled as he ran after the grunt, followed closely by Jewel and Autumn. As he exited the Museum, he spotted the grunt running down an alley straight ahead of them.

"Jewel, Swift to cut him off!" Jewel nodded and launched a volley of stars as they ran. The man stumbled as the stars made contact with the wall in front of him. He got back to his feet and turned the corner, Tyler losing sight of him before turning the corner himself.

Suddenly, a ball of sludge shot past him and exploded on the wall behind. Tyler looked back up after shielding his eyes and noticed that the grunt was at a dead end. He had released his Pokemon in front of him, which was a Stunky.

"Hey, give that back!" Tyler yelled as he pointed to the case the grunt was holding. The grunt shook his head before giving him a scowl. "Who are you guys anyways?!"

"Tch, we're Team Galactic! We're taking this fossil for research, nothing that concerns you, shithead." The grunt scowled. "Stunky, Sludge Bomb!"

"Jewel, dodge it then use Swift! Autumn, Flamethrower!" Autumn opened her mouth and shot a constant stream of fire, while Jewel dodged both the bomb and the flames by jumping between the walls, shooting a volley of stars all the while.

"Stunky, Smokescreen!" A large plume of smoke engulf the area. Tyler couldn't confirm if Jewel's and Autumn's hits connected or not, though he did hear the impact sound. Suddenly he felt a figure run past him. Instinctively, he extended his arm into a clothesline punch, connect with the jaw of the grunt as he groaned in pain, though he didn't stop running.

The grunt exited the alley, followed closely by Tyler and the girls. Though, he didn't get far as a Rock Blast knocked him into a building, courtesy of Roark. Tyler exhaled as the grunt groaned in pain, still trying to get away.

"Gotcha!" Roark exclaimed as Tyler grabbed the case the grunt dropped. The grunt clutched his stomach in pain, before looking up.

"Gah…This won't be the last time…Team Galactic will prevail! Smokescreen!" Thick smoke appeared and when it dissipated, the grunt had vanished.

"Where did he go?! The hell?" Tyler exclaimed as he looked around, finding no signs of the grunt. Roark could only sigh and shrug in response.

"Wherever he went, at least we got the fossil back. Phew, thank Arceus." Roark explained as they walked back to the museum. Jewel however was pretty mad they got away. Thankfully, Autumn managed to cool her down as they reached the museum.

"Oh oh my! Thank you, thank you so much!" A man said as he approached Roark and Tyler, a huge grin on his face. "Thank you two for getting the fossil back! It's highly important for our research and that thug just took it. Oh how can I ever repay you…"

"It's no problem, really. You don't need to repay us. Althought…" Tyle spoke before turning into a whisper. "Do you know any place to get evolution stones? Specifically Fire Stones."

The man chuckled before walking towards a cabinet, sliding the door open. Inside was a huge collection of evolution stones. He rummaged through them before grabbing a Fire stone and walking over to Tyler with it in hand, taking Tyler by a fair amount of surprise.

"I happen to be a seller of evolution stones! Trainers from all over come here to buy evolution stones and I also supply stones to other sellers. The mine right here in Oreburgh is coincidentally also located very close to a huge evolution stone vein. That's why most of the stones in Sinnoh come from here!" The man explained with a smile before handing Tyler the Fire stone.

"You've done us a huge help with retrieving the fossil and I can thank you enough. You can have this stone for absolutely nothing! Especially after seeing a little someone who might need it." The man spoke while taking quick glances to Autumn. Tyler took the stone, still fairly surprised before smiling at the man sincerely.

"Thank you, err…" Tyler thanked as he shook the man's hand with a smile. The man smiled "Vince, you can just call me Vince. Anyways, sorry to interrupt, but I have to go back to work."

"Alright, thank you, Vince. I'll be seeing you." Tyler ended the handshake and pocketed the stone before turning around to face his girls, both of them smiling at him. "Good job with stopping that ass back there. Couldn't have done it without you two." He said with a smile as he scratched Jewel and Autumn on their necks, Jewel giggling happily and Autumn sighing in content.

"Hey, what did the guy give you?" Autumn asked in which Tyler grinned in response. "It's a surprise, let's get back to the Pokecenter." He explained. "I also want to check up on the Zorua. She should be fine now."

"Well, I should be heading back to the mine as well. Farewell, Tyler!" Roark added before leaving the museum.

Half an hour later, the trio reached the Pokecenter. Tyler immediately went up to the front desk and greeted the nurse who greeted him back.

"Hi, I'm back here to check up on the Zorua I brought in yesterday. Is she alright?"

"Oh yes, she has finished healing. Here you go!" The nurse said as she handed him a Pokeball which Tyler took. The released the Zorua, who looked around before resting her eyes on Tyler and the girls. Tyler kneeled down to her level before speaking.

"Hey there. Are you alright?" Tyler asked with a soft smile. The Zorua gave him a small nod, showing him her now no longer broken leg.

"Zor. Zorua Zor Zor Rua Zor." She spoke with gratitude in her voice. Tyler turned to Jewel before asking. "Uh, can you translate her for me?"

"Sure! She said 'I'm fine. Thank you for your concern." Jewel translated. Tyler turned back to the Zorua with a relieved expression.

"That's good. Anyways, I will carry out my promise. On your word, I will release you. Or if you want to, you can come along with me." Tyler said as he held the Pokeball firmly in his hand.

The Zorua looked at Tyler silently for a moment before speaking. "Zor Zorua Zor Rua. Rua Rua Zorua, Zor Rua Zor Rua Rua. Rua Rua Zor Rua, Zorua Rua Rua Zor."

Jewel smiled before translating her speech. "She said 'I want to come with you. During my time roaming around, I've felt empty. But when you saved me, I knew I had to come along with you.'"

Tyler smiled before picking the Zorua up and hugging it close, surprising the Dark type a bit. Jewel couldn't help to feel a bit jealous, as did Autumn. "Thank you for coming along with me. I worried you wouldn't be safe all alone, so I'm glad you made the same decision I wanted you to make. Though, my offer still stands."

The Zorua smiled before shaking her head and getting closer to Tyler with him chuckling in response. Then he felt a rumble in his pocket, quickly deducing that it was his phone. Sure enough, Josh was calling him. Tyler picked up.

"Hey, Tyler. How are you?"

"I'm good, man. Just got the third member of my group, she's a real polite talker." Tyler responded as he pet the Zorua between her ears, getting her to smile softly.

"Ah, that's great. You wouldn't have happen to already have a translator for her, would you?"

"No, why?"

"Well, that's what I've sent you. Check your PC box."

Tyler went over to the PC located at the side of the front desk. He typed in his credentials and opened the item box. Sure enough, there was a device in there sent from Josh.

"Uh, what is it Josh?"

"Well, it's a little something I made. It's like a Bluetooth earpiece but it can translate Pokespeech for you, so you don't need to use those tags."

"Wow, how the hell did you manage to make it?"

"Reverse engineering and a Ph.D in Communications, to put it lightly. I've also made one for me and Samuel. I can confirm that they work perfectly, albeit a bit more of a hassle for us."

"Heh, yeah. Anyways, thanks a lot, Josh!"

"No problem, Tyler. See you later."

Tyler hung up and grabbed the item from the item box, moving it to his back pack. He rummaged around and grabbed it before putting it on his ear. Before turning it on, however, he decided to test it in his room instead.

A short while later, the group sat on the bed, with Jewel, Autumn and the Zorua facing Tyler. "Alright, let's remove the tags first." Tyler said as he took off Jewel's and Autumn's tags.

"Sylveon Sylv!" Jewel spoke in Pokespeech.

"Vulpix Vulp Vulpix?" Autumn asked in Pokespeech as well.

"Here goes nothing." He turned on the device and a very slight hum played before it disappeared. "Alright, try speaking girls."

"Testing testing one, two, three!" Jewel yipped, sounding no different than normal.

"Did it work?" Autumn asked, also sounding no different.

"I presume it is, since he doesn't have a confused expression." A gentle and calm voice spoke, belonging to the Zorua.

"Yeah, sure did. Let me introduce ourselves, I'm Tyler, she's Jewel and that's Autumn." Tyler said as he pointed to himself then to Jewel and finally to Autumn, both of them smiling. "So, do you have a name?" Tyler asked while looking at the Zorua. "Also, if you don't mind me asking, how did you end up in Sinnoh? Zorua are native to Unova only, if I remember correctly."

"I don't and as for the second part of your question, I simply sneaked away from my pack and boarded a ship here." The Zorua explained calmly, though still looked a bit uncomfortable for some reason. Tyler picked up on this but decided not to press for answers.

"Let's call you…..Hmm…..How about Noir?" Tyler proposed after thinking about it for a while. The Zorua simply nodded with a smile.

"Noir, I like it." Noir said with a smile, familiarizing herself with her new name. Autumn for some reason looked a bit restless. "Tyler, can I see the surprise you said back at the Museum?"

"Oh, right! Now, Autumn, sit her in the middle and close your eyes, okay?" Tyler asked as he gripped the stone in his hand, though still inside his pocket.

"Okay!" Autumn replied with newfound excitement, sitting in the middle of the bed while closing her eyes. Tyler took the orange stone out, earning a curious "ooh" from Jewel. Autumn was very tempted to peak as she tried to crack open her eye a bit. However, Tyler noticed.

"Ah ah ah, no peeking." Tyler said, prompting Autumn to close her eyes again. Tyler tapped the stone on Autumn's paws. Suddenly, she began to glow white.

Her form twisted and shifted, with her gaining three additional tails, a new coat of fur, longer limbs, an elongated muzzle and getting taller in general. After the light subsided, Jewel looked at Autumn, jaw dropped. Noir looked at her with curiousity. Tyler had a dumb grin on his face.

"You can open em now." Tyler said, which caused Autumn to flutter her eyes open, exposing her beautiful red eyes. She looked around for the surprise, not finding it anywhere. "Uhm, where is it?"

Tyler grabbed a small mirror and showed it to Autumn. In response, she let out an excited squeal. "Oh my Arceus, is that me?!"

"Yeah, sure is. Congratulations, you're now a Ninetales!"

And that's that for this chapter of Roadtrip! Our little shy Vulpix is now a more confident Ninetales! Also, I would like to know you guys' feedback on this newer style of Author's Notes. If you would like me to return to a normal paragraph format instead of this chatroom style interaction, let me know! In any case, I'll be seeing you guys in the next chapter! bruhmeister, out!
