Chapter 2:

Sam woke up that morning bright and early. She was for some reason rather excited about this morning. But that changed when she found her phone on the counter instead of her nightstand. She also found a string of messages she doesn't remember writing.

But what she saw, made her angry. She would never say these kinds of words to Jack, she doesn't even remember saying those things, unless…

Pete was asleep on the bed. But that changed when a bucket of ice-cold water hit him hard in the face. He shook his head and looks up to Sam. "Sam?! What the hell was that for!?" he screeched. Sam chucked her phone into his lap. He took it and read the messages. "I must've forgot to delete them." He muttered.

Sam then attacked him, punching him hard on the nose. "HOW COULD YOU! HE'S MY FRIEND!". Pete then grabbed her and threw her onto the floor. "May I remind you that you are marrying me!". But Sam wasn't listening. "NO! NOT ANYMORE! GET OUT! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!". Pete then grabbed his stuff and went for the door. "It's him isn't it? You rather be with him then me!?" he accused. "What are you, sleeping with him?" he accused as well.

Sam snorted. "Sometimes I wish I was.". (What she meant was that she wished she was with him instead of Pete.)

That took Pete by surprise. With a final grunt he slammed the door behind him. Sam fell to the floor and cried. She couldn't believe this; Jack was probably thinking the worst of her. Why did things have to turn out this way?

Jumping up she grabbed her purse, ID and car keys and drove like crazy to the mountain. When she got there, she raced down the stairs instead of the elevator. When she arrived at Hammond's office, she saw it was empty. She raced down to the gate room, in time to see Jack with a duffle bag hanging over his shoulder.

She couldn't let this happen: "JACK!" she called out with his first name. Half of all the heads turned to her. Even Jack's. With a blank stare, he walked through. Sam wasn't allowing this, she ran for it, but only to get stopped by Teal'c. "Major Carter, leave him be.".

Daniel walked up to her, visibly angry. "How could you!? He loved you to bits! How!?" he screamed. Sam was crying, this was all Pete's fault. "I didn't send those text messages, Pete did, on my phone.".

Daniel backed away from this. "Him!?" he asked.
