BM: What the fuck….Oh! Didn't notice you there! Welcome back to a fresh new chapter of Roadtrip! Better shenanigans, better wording, Roadtrip. And now I'm hungry. Great.

BM: Anyhow, last time on Roadtrip: Tyler got a new team member in the form of the surprisingly well spoken Zorua Noir, a robbery occurred in the museum and Autumn evolved into a Ninetales. I should probably learn to type more efficiently since the last chapter took three days to finish! Normally I wouldn't even scratch two, but I digress. Hope you guys enjoyed it a bit atleast, since I'm not that good at writing. (I don't think so anyways)

BM: Enough chit chat, let's get right on it!

*door opens*

Tyler: Uh, wh-

Disclaimer dos: This chapter has a lot more automotive lingo. I've marked them and given their definitions at the end of the chapter.

"Wow…I look so different…" Autumn spoke as she began prodding her face and body with her paws, still shocked at her newly evolved form. Jewel had a look of amazement in her eyes. Noir was still fascinated by her evolution, wondering when she would evolve herself. Tyler meanwhile still had a dumb grin on his face.

"Tyler…how do I look?" Autumn asked nervously. Tyler's smile faltered a bit before nodding. "You look great! Elegant and beautiful!" Tyler beamed. Autumn blushed at his words and covered her face with her nine tales. Jewel scoffed in slight jealousy while Noir gave no remarks, still deep in thought.

"Come on, don't be like that Jewel. You're beautiful too, you know." Tyler reassured as he stroked her back, Jewel cooing in pleasure. Before long, the group rested on the bed while watching the TV. Tyler laid in the middle, with Jewel lying on his left, Autumn on his right and Noir right next to his head. They all made light talk with each other, with Noir asking Autumn how evolution felt like and Jewel asking why the man on TV was trying to catch a Magikarp with a net.

A few hours later, the group decided it was time for bed. Tyler was the one who proposed the idea, since he had almost a whole day of driving ahead of him. Instead of taking the highway out of Oreburgh straight to Eterna, he wanted to take the mountain road that connected Jubilife to Floaroma. Before that however, he would have to take the backroads that went to Jubilife from Oreburgh itself. Tyler wanted to do this because both of these roads were great fun in cars, as he could recall the excitement he had when his dad drove him around in his old Ford Mustang, which had sadly rusted away beyond repair.

"Right, so tomorrow will be a driving day. We, especially me, should get enough sleep since driving without is pretty damn dangerous." Tyler spoke before yawning, getting the others to yawn too. "Oh, before I forget. Noir, would you prefer sleeping in your Pokeball or not? Also, aren't you nocturnal?"

"I am not, but the rest of my kind is. Also, no. I prefer sleeping outside as I greatly appreciate the freedom." Noir said before curling into a ball beside Tyler's pillow. "And besides, I quite enjoy the company." She added before falling asleep.

"Eh, good point." Tyler nodded as he changed into his pajamas. Jewel averted her gaze with a blush, as did Autumn. A few moments later, he laid back on to bed and tucked his hand around Jewel and Autumn. The group went to sleep soon after.

"Well that went to shit, huh?"

"Truly. How in the world did he fail to retrieve it? We had planned for every situation, which isn't saying much as the security of the place is laughably inept."

"It's because of that ass Roark and some trainer shithead. Fuck them both. Cyrus will fucking tear us a new one."

"Calm down, though this is a setback, do not treat it as ultimate failure. We have many more things to do, most with more priority than the fossil."

"Sure, whatever."

…

Daylight broke through the windows of the Pokecenter, lighting the inside with a soft glow. This was also true in Tyler's room, waking him from his sleep. Not before waking Noir however, since she was right beside Tyler's pillow, hence the sunlight went to her before him.

"Fwoah….Good morning, Noir. Sleep well?" He asked while rubbing his eyes and stretching.

"Indeed. It has been quite some time since I've slept on a proper bed, with the last time being when I dominated a Furfrou's bed." She spoke with a small sly grin. Tyler sighed and chuckled at her mischief. A few moments later, Autumn woke up, followed shortly by Jewel.

"Hey, all of us are up. Let's go get ready. Who's gonna take a bath fi-" Tyler spoke before getting interrupted.

"Dibs!" Jewel yelled as she ran into the bathroom, leaving her three companions staring at air before chuckling.

Roughly half an hour later, the group checked out of their room and exited the Pokecenter. As they walked to his car, Tyler noticed that Jewel and Noir were shivering slightly. Autumn was fine since she was a fire type.

Almost instantly, an idea came to mind as Tyler stopped and rummaged through his bag, pulling out two out of his three scarfs, the last one being the stained one.

"Hmm, what are those for, Tyler?" Jewel asked as she noticed the scarves. Tyler smiled before explaining. "I noticed that you two looked a bit cold. So I thought these should do you two well."

Tyler draped the red scarf around Noir and the grey one around Jewel. Both of them expressed their thanks and continued to his car. Upon reaching it, Noir looked hesitant for a bit but got in with the girls.

However, Tyler hadn't account for the lack of space in the car for all three of the girls. Thankfully, they still could fit, though fairly snugly. Tyler turned on and drive out of the parking lot.

A few minutes of driving later, they exited the city and went down the backroads. Tyler sported a grin and put his foot down, the 2L I4 roaring in response. The S2000 zoomed down the slightly bumpy road, catching air on some of the larger bumps. Tyler could barely contain his excited laughter.

The girls however had different reactions. Jewel loved the speed and joined in with his excitement. Autumn was fairly nervous going this fast on bumpy roads, but was otherwise okay on flat ground. Noir was terrified.

As a corner came up, Tyler downshifted and turned in, aiming for the apex of the corner. On some corners, the inner front wheels would hang off the edge of the road for a bit. On others, he decided not to this since there was an obstruction past the edge, usually a small rock or a tight wall.

Roughly halfway through the backroads, a sudden hairpin turn came up after a slow right. Thankfully, Tyler loved playing racing games on the racing sim at home, especially with his car. So he knew what to do. The girls however had no clue what he was going to do.

"Uh, Tyler? Tyler?!" Autumn asked with her tone rising as the corner got closer. Jewel was still on her speed fueled high but showed concern on her face as well. Noir was hyperventilating.

Immediately, Tyler slammed on the brakes, downshifted a couple gears and yanked the handbrake, sending the car into a drift. He kept appropriate throttle to keep the rear end in check. As they went through the turn, he took glances at the girls.

Autumn was screaming as she held on to the armrest on the door.

Jewel was yelling in excitement.

Noir had passed out.

Tyler felt pretty bad at the last observation, so he slowed down and stopped at the side of the road, much to Jewel's annoyance and Autumn's relief. "Oh shit, did I go too far?"

"THAT WAS AWESOME!" Jewel yelled as she leapt into his chest, hugging him tightly. "How did you do that?!"

"Eheh, I'm not just a huge fan of cars and driving, I also love racing and drifting, which was what that was." Tyler explained as he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "Though, it's not for everyone…"

"Y-Yeah… Will she be okay?" Autumn meekly replied while looking at Noir with swirls in her eyes. Tyler let out a "yeesh" before grabbing Noir's Pokeball and returning her. "There, we should wake her up when we reach Jubilife. Now, ready for more of that?" He asked with a grin as he put his hands on his steering wheel.

Jewel nodded rapidly while Autumn only letting out a sigh. Tyler took this as one yes and one unsure, making it a win for yes. He dropped the clutch, causing the tires to squeal and the car to zoom away.

Back in Oreburgh Museum, Vince and his colleagues were busy fixing a complicated machine. It had a box with a sliding glass door on the front beside a large transparent tube in the middle. A small Pokeball sized hole was on the side of the machine to the right of the tube.

Roughly a few minutes later with the last command being entered, the team stepped away from the machine, finally completing their task.

"Phew, finally! That took way longer than expected." One researcher said as she let out a sigh.

"Those Team Galactic cunts didn't make it any easier." Another one spat, shaking his head in annoyance.

"But we did get the fossil back thanks to Roark and Tyler. If they hadn't turned up, man we'd be in deep shit." Vince remarked, ever grateful for their help. "Right, moment of truth. Let's bring back a Pokemon!"

Vince opened the case and grabbed the fossil. On close inspection, it seemed to form a sail made from presumably skin. He placed the fossil into the box and pressed a button causing the door to slide close. He walked over to the terminal located right beside it.

Vince stood back as the machine began to whir to life, the sound of electric motors filling the room and a bright series of lights flickering from the LED indicators to the side. A progress bar was displayed on the terminal, steadily filling up.

"So, what are we gonna do with it?" A researcher asked Vince. "We can't keep it since we're all way too busy and Roark's already has his hands full with the Cranidos who trashed the machine."

Vince could only smile in response as he already knew who.

…

A few crackles and pops and a downshift later, Tyler and the group now went at normal speed since they had just left the backroads and slowly approached Jubilife City. The smaller road converged on to the main highway that ran straight into the bustling metropolis. Jubilife was one of the larger cities in Sinnoh and was the capital of all things business related, from economy to tech firms, making it a huge part of Sinnoh's commercial scene. This however didn't help the living aspect of Jubilife, thus causing it to be smaller and less populated than the largest city, Hearthome.

The skyscrapers and various office buildings were a fantastic sight to behold at both dusk and dawn, since a light fog usually laid atop the city at those times. With the bright lights and the electronic billboards lighting the mist into an array of beautiful colours. (for reference, look up 'Kowloon victoria harbor night')

Since they were arriving at around 2 pm, that wouldn't be until a few hours. But still, the sight of the towering skyscrapers were not dull by any means.

"Woah, those are some really tall buildings!" Autumn yipped excitedly, no longer sweating and screaming. Jewel simply nodded since she used to live here with her old trainer. "I wonder what's going on the inside? Humans do a lot of things inside them right?" Autumn asked to no one in particular.

"Well, it depends on the corporation that owns the building. Even then, not all corporations use the buildings the same way even though they are from the same category." Tyler explained while keeping one hand free, the other on the wheel. He pointed to one with a logo which had 'GE' written in cursive inside a circle. "That one's owned by GE which is General Electric. They make a lot of the products we use. The building is most likely an office complex."

Jewel noticed a wide but still tall building in the distance with a bird feeding it's children with 'Nestle' written under it. "Oh, I know that one! Nestle! They make the food that I used to eat. Didn't taste good though." Jewel explained while pointing at it.

"That one's Wells Fargo. They're a bank, so they keep our money safe. The one beside it is… huh, Honda." Tyler explained as he noticed the tall, fairly modern looking building with a H logo.

"Honda? So they're the ones that made your car?" Autumn asked as she noticed the same logo on the steering wheel. Tyler simply nodded in response. "That's right. Dad must've gotten this from there, since we don't have a Honda dealership back at Twinleaf."

A short while later, the group reached the Pokecenter, which was wedged in the corner of the Wells Fargo tower. He parked on the side of the street behind a white BMW M5, which for some reason looked very familiar.

Wait a second…

As he exited his car followed by the girls, the source of the familiarity made his presence known. Samuel was walking out of the Pokecenter with Helios in tow, a chocolate Pokepuff in his jaws.

"Yo, what's happening, Ty? How you doin?"

"Hey, Sam. Didn't expect to see you here. What's going on?"

"Oh I'm just going to visit my pops in Canalave. Said it's important or some shit like that. Honestly, I'm not to stoked. His ass made me miss my 24 hours."

"Shit, I forgot that was today. So, is Josh the only one handling it?"

"Nah, he's got a friend to help him out. Still thought, I've been bustin my ass pushing twenty practice laps a day and this Tauros crap happens? Man…"

"Hey, chill. What your dad will say must be more important if you had to visit him directly."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Anyways, I better get going. 'Quicker is better' as he said. See ya, Ty."

"See ya."

The two teens waved before passing by each other, Tyler pausing a bit to ruffle Helios' fur, which he greatly appreciated. Before walking away, he knelt beside Helios.

"Hey, you should make a move on Ruby." He whispered, catching Helios off guard with a blush on his muzzle and sweat drip from his forehead.

"W-What? I-I-Er, we're n-not like t-that!" Helios stammered as Tyler, Samuel and Jewel laughed, Autumn only offering an amused grin. Tyler got back and began walking, turning his torso to wave goodbye at Samuel, who got into his car.

Tyler walked up to the front desk, where the usual exchange between him and the nurse occurred. He got his room key and made his way to the elevator. As they rode it up to the 7th floor, Tyler decided to ask.

"Hey, is it okay with you girls if we start training tomorrow? I just want to be prepared for the next gym." He asked while looking around him for their answers. To his surprise, both of them nodded quickly.

"Sure! I feel like we barely won the battles against Roark, so training's a good idea." Jewel replied with a yip.

"Yeah, I want to see what I can do with my new form. I feel much stronger than before." Autumn added as she eyed her body again.

"Alright, glad to see we're on the same page. I'm curious on what Noir can do, too." Tyler concluded as the door opened.

A short walk to their room later, the group entered their room. Tyler grabbed Noir's Pokeball and let her out. Noir was curled in a ball before waking up in the room, resting her eyes on Tyler.

"What…happened…?" She spoke as she shook the grogginess off her.

"Well, you kinda passed out as I zipped along the road. Sorry about that." Tyler spoke as he scratched the back of his head.

Noir sighed before responding. "It is fine. I forgive you. But in the future, can you please just return me into my ball before doing that again?" She asked with a slight frown. Tyler now felt bad for her and nodded quickly. "Of course, can do. Though I won't be doing it often."

Noir grinned at his answer before standing up and walking over to the bed and jumping on it. "Oh yeah, we're gonna do some training tomorrow, you wanna join Noir?"

"Sure. I don't have anything of interest to do and I would like to get much stronger." She added with a nod. Jewel did a quick fist pump (paw pump?) and Autumn smiled. Tyler kicked off his shoes, took off his jacket and socks and laid back on the bed, enjoying the comfort it brought. Almost immediately, he fell asleep.

"Is he asleep already? Wow, must be really tired…" Autumn said before trailing off as she observed his sleeping form. She blushed as she felt his chest which was now only covered by a plain T-Shirt. Jewel noticed this.

"Hey, what are you doing?" She asked in a whisper yell as Autumn continued to feel his body with her paws, not listening to her question. "Cut that out, Autumn! What if he wakes up?"

"He looks…cute when he sleeps. Don't tell him I said that though." Noir said as she turned away with a blush. Jewel agreed and began ogling over him as well. All three of them thought of the same thing at the same time, culminating into one sentence.

Oh Tyler, I love you…

2L I4: A simple way to describe a car's engine. '2L' is how large the engine is (displacement), this one being 2 liters. 'I4' is the layout of the pistons in the engine. There are three common layouts, V (eg. V8), Inline (eg. I4) and Boxer (eg. H4).

Apex: A racing term to describe the perfect point of a corner to touch while turning to maximize speed.

Hairpin Turn: A special type of corner that changes direction of trave at 180 degrees in the opposite direction . (eg a turn that causes you to go from going northward to southward is a hairpin)

Rear end: A term used to describe the rear of the car.

Dropped the clutch: An action done by holding down the clutch pedal on a manual car while holding down the throttle while in first gear and then letting go of the clutch. This causes the car to jerk violently forward for a quick launch from a stop, though damages the clutch the more it is used.

Pops and crackles: The sound caused by excess fuel igniting and exploding in the exhaust. Usually heard on modified cars and high performance ones such as sportscars and supercars.
