Chapter 9:

The agreement was simple, the SGC helps Ares destroy Anubis, then he releases Jack and either takes a willing host, or dies.

The gate at Earth started spinning. "Incoming wormhole." Announced Walter. Sam IDC was checked out and she walked through, with Ares, Ro'tak and Sa'har. The security aimed their weapons as Ro'tak stood defensively in front of Sa'har. Ares then snapped: "Ro'tak! Kree!" Ro'tak obeyed, while Sa'har remind behind his master.

Ares then knelt down next to the boy and said: "There is no need to fear.". This confused the people. Especially when Ares picked up the boy and carried him through the hallways to infirmary. He placed the boy on the bed. Sa'har still clung onto him.

Ares insured it will be safe. As he went to sit on a separate bed. But to his surprise, he was restraint. Sa'har didn't like this, he ran and hid behind a closet. Ro'tak refused to leave the boy's side. As Ares was inspected, Sam walked up to him. "This is protocol.". Ares nods. "Of course it is.". After the check-ups, Ares was released and placed in a holding cell. Sa'har and Sam went to the Mess Hall because after Ro'tak was being questioned and he couldn't go to Ares, he refused to leave Sam's side.

Sa'har was eating the food she brought him. But the boy was curious. "Is it true that you are the most beautiful woman in this universe?" he asked. Sam blushed lightly, she had no idea where that came from. "Who said that?". Sa'har then said: "Ares's host, he speaks at times, he doesn't like being separated from you, he cries whenever his Lordship lets him take control.". Sam didn't know what to say. "If Ares lets Jack speak at times, maybe she could get a chance. "Come with me.".

Ares was in his cell, Daniel was trying to get answers from him. "How strong is Anubis's fleet?". Ares shrugged. "Five-thousand strong I would say.". Sam came walking in, and she spoke. "I want to speak with Jack, now." She demanded.

Ares then said: "Who says he wants to speak?". Sa'har then stepped forward. "Your Lordship, please.". Ares sighs, he couldn't resist this little Jaffa boy. "Alright, I don't master the ability to allow the host to remain in control for to long, when the host suddenly changes back to me, it's because I had to.".

Ares closed his eyes, and breathed deeply. Opening them, his eyes darted, his facial expression changed. "Hello campers." Said the one and only, Jack O'Neill. Sam couldn't believe it, it was Jack! He stood up after tapping on his knees. He had a smile for some reason. "So, how long was I out?" he asked. This took the gang by surprise, does Jack not remember of the symbiote? To answer that question, no he doesn't. Daniel and Sam didn't know what to say, but it had to be clarified. "Uhmm, Jack… … the symbiote is still inside of you." Daniel said, regretting he said it the second it left his mouth.

"WHAT!?" Jack exploded.

Sam then said: "Jack, calm down.". Jack was pacing and going frantic. "Calm? That snake is still in my head! Why didn't you remove it!?". Sam then said: "I cut a deal with it.". Jack crossed his arms. "A deal? ARE YOU INSANE!? WHAT THE FU-!" but before he could finish it, Ares took over. "Better the kid doesn't hear what he was about to say. Now, shall we start with a debriefing?".

At the debriefing, everyone was looking at Ares very strangely. Especially Teal'c. Ares had to admit to himself, he was uncomfortable. "So, you wish to know of my plan?" he asked to avoid this awkward silence.

Hammond nods. "Tell us of your military strength.". Ares stood up and spoke. "My army are brave Jaffa who see the System Lords as evil, I always visualized of a future where Jaffa and Goa'uld symbiotes lived in harmony, like the Tok'ra and their hosts.". Teal'c then spoke too.

" Your goal was to destroy the evil Goa'uld and rebuilt their ways in your vision, a possible Alliance between free Jaffa and Goa'uld.". Ares nods. "It's a long shot, but I believe it is possible. Some of the Jaffa might not agree with me, which is why I planned on making my society secret. Only my people shall know of it.".

Hammond then spoke: "But Anubis learnt of your plan, why attack the Tollan?" he asked. Ares shrugged. "To be honest, it was before I learnt the truth of being a leader, not a conqueror. A leader who rules by people trusting and not fearing him. I guess I wanted what O'Neill had.".

Daniel then said: "How do you plan on destroying Anubis's fleet?". Ares then bowed his head and Jack spoke. "After some consideration, I came up with a solution, the sooner this snake is out, the better.". Jack then explained that Anubis wasn't aware of Ares's betrayal. He planned on using that to his advantage. He would pose by giving prisoners.

The prisoners would be SG-1. Once the prisoners were exchanged, the tracking device Sam was given, (yes he knew of it.) will be used for the Asgard to attack the shipyard or wherever that snake was hiding, after the defeat of Anubis, Ares will leave Jack and either die, or take a willing host.

The question was, what comes first?
