Chapter 11:

Are wasn't sure of the meaning, Anubis then led him through to where the prisoners were held. He then said: "Jaffa! Benna Wan Ya duru! Kneel before your masters!". The Jaffa then knelt while SG-1 refused to kneel.

The other Jaffa then forced them down. Anubis then said: "Kill them.". Ares then spun to Anubis. "What!? Father, you can't be serious!". But Anubis then said: "Silence! Proceed.". The Jaffa then aimed their weapons at SG-1. Ares was panicking, he didn't know what to do. So he then said: "Joma secu!" he then yelled. Anubis spun around and delayed his last order. Sam turned to Teal'c. "What did he say?". Teal'c then said: "He challenges Anubis for leadership.".

"Kel shak lo." Ares added as well. Teal'c then said: "Fight to the death.".

Anubis then faced his son completely. "You sided up with the Tau'ri!? Shol'va!". Jack then took over. "My friends will not die by your hands." Then Ares took over and said: "You should've thought about it before you tricked the Tok'ra queen into spawning me.". Ro'tak then handed his master a staff weapon. Ares took it and then spoke: "If all fails, take Sa'har and escape. I won't let that boy get hurt." Ares ordered. Ro'tak nods. "I shall defend him with my life my lord.".

On the bridge over a ravine in front of the Stargate, Jaffa and Kull Warriors packed up to see the fight, mostly cheering for Anubis. Anubis lifted his arms into motivating them to cheer on. "Jaffa! Kull! Hear from your god! The likes of him shall die today! Those who appose the gods, will die by my hand!" Jaffa cheered and the fight was signalled to begin.

Jack allowed Ares to slip in control, once his eyes glowed, he charged forward with a war cry. Anubis went into a battle stand and as Ares jumped him, Anubis used the staff weapon to shoot him in the gut, Ares flew backwards but got back onto his feet, he was wearing Kull warrior armour plates, he equipped them in a previous battle. Ares spun his staff weapon and went into stance.

Anubis sneered and fired five times. Ares dodged the attacks by leaping sideways and dolling out of range. He got on a knee and fired his weapon, he could've shot Anubis, if it wasn't for the fact that Anubis had an energy shield protecting him.

Ares wasn't sure what his next attack will be. But Anubis then fired, Ares then did a backflip and landed on his feet and fired, instead of hitting Anubis, he shot a pillar of the structure that keeps the bridge stable, that gave him an idea. His people were kept as prisoners near the building away from the bridge, if Plan B works, they would only need to retrieve the Stargate at the bottom of the ravine.

Ares then shouts: "I shall die as a hero!" he started shooting at the bridge support at the ravine ledge. The bridge started to shook, Jaffa and Kull panicked but the dome around the bridge to prevent Ares's escape blocked them. Ares kept firing, Anubis shouted: "Are you mad!? You'll die along with us!".

Jack then spoke. "I'll die for her.". Ares spoke as well. "Agreed.". One more shot made the bridge start to collapse, the energy field failed and Jaffa made a run for safety. Ares took over and ran like crazy, pushing the Jaffa out of the way. Anubis then tripped him and grabbed his foot. "You'll die with me!".

Ares shook his head. "I don't think so.". Ares kicked Anubis in the face and got up and ran, he was near the cliff line when he attempted to leap.

Meanwhile, inside, Ro'tak and Sa'har broke the building opened and got SG-1 out. They had their gear and made it to the destroyed bridge where they saw Ares or Jack leap to reached the safe side but vanished underneath. A loud: "SHIT!" was heard from him.

Sam panicked. "JACK!" she called out. And ran to the ledge. She looked down to find him hanging on a rock. He looked up and jokingly asked: "Some help?". Sam sighed in relief. She knelt down hand exchanged her hand. Jack took it and he was pulled up, only to land on top of Sam.

Sam blushed beet red and could feel something pressing against her leg. Jack covered it with: "My side arm." He pulled out a zat as proof. Sam huffed, it wasn't what she hoped it to be. But she decided to act now before he pulls away, she cupped the back of his head and kisses him.

Jack was taken by surprise but excepted it. He kissed back and cupped her cheeks. But he pulled back. Sam was confused. "What are you doing?". Jack then said: "Making sure the snake knows his place.".

Nothing.

"Good." He said and kissed her again. But another bright flash interrupted them, it was Thor. "Major Carter, your tracking device sent us your location, but we got delayed when we hoped to come sooner.". Sam nods and Jack went to sit next to her. Sam looks at him. "So, shooting the bridge, was that plan B or C?".

Jack looks at her. "Plan D, as in… … destroy the bridge.". Sam giggled. Jack sighed. "I'll let that one slide this ones.".
