Chapter 16:
Jack saw it, the guy died? With effort, he rolled and crashed onto the floor, using his left arm, he crawled near Kinsey's body. He couldn't believe it; his friend was dead. Or was he? Out of Kinsey's mouth, came the symbiote, it squealed happily, as it slithered out of Kinsey's mouth and over his corpse, Jack chuckled, Ares wasn't dead yet.
The symbiote was a little week, and if Jack didn't act fast, he will die. So, Jack saw the surgical tools on the table, he pulled on the table cloth and the tools crashed on the floor. He grabbed the scalpel and made a cut over the entry wound Ares used a year ago. Ares then slithered over and slowly entered into Jack's neck.
Jack grunted as he rolled over onto his back. His eyes glowed and Ares spoke: "Thank you O'Neill, I am once again, in your debt.". Jack chuckled. "We're friends remember.". Jack felt the life return to his legs as he got up. Only to have a gun pointing to his face.
"Shanahan, drop the gun, NOW." Jack ordered. Pete chuckled. "Yeah right, like that's gonna happen.". Jack sighs. "Your loss." He then grabbed the gun and wrestled with Pete. Rolling around until a gunshot was heard.
Pete looks at his gut, the blood spilling. Jack threw the guy off of him and grabbed the nearest phone he could find. "Sam! I need your help, that bastard Kinsey and Pete took me. I am fine, Kinsey's dead. Pete's bleeding out. The fucker had it coming. I don't know where I am. Trace the call.".
At the SGC, Sam then traced the call on her laptop. "I got it. You're at an old abandon harbour in San Diego, California.".
Jack nods. "Great, thanks. I love you Sam.". He could feel Sam's blush. "I love you too.". Jack hung up and walked to the door. He was sure Kinsey has the place guarded. He made sure to take a gun. He walked straight forward and found two guards. He kicked the open and fired at the guards, they were kneecap shots so they will live.
He continued walking. He found one guard patrolling the hall way. When he turned around, Jack charged and tackled the guy, the man hit his head against the wall. Jack got up and kept walking. He made it to the door before he felt dizzy.
Ares took control and said: "The drug must have some kind of side effects.". Jack was out, but Ares wasn't. He made it to the door, which he pushed open and collapsed on the floor. A car engine was heard and Ares looked up. Help arrived. He decided to pass out there as he saw Sam's boots and faded into darkness.
Jack was now in the SGC infirmary, he was still unconscious and Sam refused to leave his side. Janet did everything she could, only time can tell. "He's gonna be okay, Ares is doing a good job on healing his wounds.". Sam still didn't want to leave. "Please Jack, come back to me.".
Janet then decided to cheer Sam up. "So, tell me more of this relationship you have." She wanted details. Sam thought a little distraction can help her. "Well, it's not official yet, but we think on making it. And he's a master with his hands.".
Janet then asked: "How can he hold out for six hours? Weren't you sore after a while?" she asked. Sam nods. "My legs were numb, but it was worth it.". Janet then asked: "So, how's he in bed?". Sam smirked. "He's amazing, trust me.". Janet then decided to tease Sam. "Maybe I should join in once and a while.". "I don't think so." Sam said. Janet laughed: "So your keeping him?" she asked at the end. Sam nods. "I am.".
"Good." Came Jack's voice. He stirred lightly and Sam went to him. "Are you okay?" she asked. Jack nods. "Headache, but I am fine.". Janet then excused herself as she walked away. When she was out of the room, Sam sat on the edge of the bed and smiled at Jack. Jack then smiled as he spoke in Spanish: "Mi preciosa luz de las estrellas.".
Sam smiled. "You're such a romantic.".
