Chapter 22:
The next morning, Jack found himself laying on the soft grass next to the most gorgeous woman in the universe. She was all snuggled up with her face on his chest. Sam stirred lightly and she fluttered her eyes open. The first thing she saw was Jack's smile. "Morning handsome." She flirted lightly. Jack whispered into her ear. "Good morning gorgeous.".
They got up and walked to the site where they saw the Jaffa were working. Once again helping the others with tasks. As the two lovebirds were strolling, a Jaffa came running to them. "My lord!" the Jaffa bowed and pointed to the sky. "Unidentified ship entered our atmosphere. Not Ha'tak. I never seen the design before.".
Jack then ran to the giant telescope that was placed up. Jack used it and zoomed in on the ship. "I did." He said. "Replicators.". Sam then automatically placed her hand over her ring finger, touching the ring. Jack sees her fear and places his hand over hers. "If Fifth comes after you again, he'll have to go through me.". "And me." Ares promised.
With the ship in orbit, Jack ordered a single Ha'tak to be sent up. He beamed himself up thanks to Thor's beaming device. Walked up to the seat and sat down. "My lord! We are being hailed.". Jack then said: "Put it through.".
Fifth's face popped up. "You remember me!?" the childish Replicator asked. Jack nods. "I do.". Fifth then spoke with a more harsher tone. "You think after Samantha abandon me… I will give up!? I found a new love, and I will destroy you.".
Jack leans forward. "This is between you and me, leave my people out of it.". The Jaffa turns to his leader. "But, my lord-" but Jack lifted his hand. And continued: "Meet me on the surface of the planet. You and me, no backup. No nothing, we settle this with a fight.". Fifth smiled. "Very well.".
The monitor shuts down and Jack sat back. "I hate bugs.". How was he gonna explain this to Sam!? Not easily I tell you. "What!?" she responded. Jack tried to calm her. "Look, I get it, you don't want me going up against that thing, but all he wants is to kill me and take you. And I am not allowing that.".
Sam felt a tea rolling down her cheek. "I don't want you to leave.". Jack hugged her. "I have to. I will be in the plains. I'll kick his ass and sent him off to his mommy." He joked. Sam laughed and rubbed her hand up and down his spine, feeling the metal that was used to create the prosthetic parts. "Be careful." She asked. Jack smiled: "I am always careful.".
Jack arrived in the plain field and found Fifth waiting for him on a rock. "You kept your word.". Jack shrugged. "I don't usually break my promises.". Fifth spitted lightly. "Unlike leaving me after you promised to take me with you!".
Jack kept a hard stare. "We had no choice, if we took you with us, you would've been locked up in a lab and studied like a lab rat!". Fifth laughed hoarsely. "You betrayed my trust! And now, I will break you for it! But first.". He held his hand out, and another Replicator was beamed down.
Jack's eyes widen. "No." he said. For before him, stood a Replicator, identical to SAM! The Replicator saw him, and backed up, as if she was hiding. Jack didn't know what to do. He was about to fight Fifth and now there was a second Carter? He hated this day even more.
