Okay, there has been a bit of criticism/controversy regarding last chapter. Most of it was fine and done in a respectful manner and I was okay with it. Then some anon person decided to be a jerk and post, and I quote, that my brain was 'the size of a dust mite.'

I know what some of you are thinking so far. "Chaos, it's one post. Don't get so bent out of shape."

Frankly, you're right. However, this is not an isolated incident. I am not the first writer to get mean reviews from 'guests' who hide behind anonymity to say whatever they want, and I know I won't be the last. This kind of behavior is exactly why the author behind 'Raise Your Voice Against Liars' is no longer updating their story on this site. It's not totally comparable since it was continued behavior that even included threats, but the basis is the same.

This behavior is unacceptable, regardless of quantity. I prefer to nip this in the bud right here, right now.

First off, my reasoning behind what happened.

The statement "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing" threw me off and confused me for the longest time because of the wording. I understood it in my head as 'all that is necessary to defeat evil'. I know that sounds weird, but I looked at it in the context of what happened between Alya and Chloe in what was supposed to be the first two episodes. If I could reword my explanation from last chapter's mini AN, I saw it as something similar to what I heard from Digimon Season 4 when Tommy stood up to Takuya when he was going berserk. He said true courage wasn't paying bullies back, it was merely standing up to them. Alya stood up to Chloe when she was being mean to Marinette; she didn't have to hurt Chloe or do something vengeful. All she did was stand up to Chloe, and that was all that was needed.

That's why I wrote Ann getting snappy, based on that interpretation. Because she knows it is not as simple as merely standing up to people. We live in a twisted, backwards world right now, and bad guys don't care if you show some backbone. They will still hurt you regardless, and Ann and the PTs know that in those cases, extreme measures are necessary. They're not necessarily right, but that is their reasoning.

That's how I saw it. I was a victim of bullying in the past myself so that might have affected my understanding alongside the wording. We are all capable of making different interpretations of things. More importantly, we are all capable of making mistakes. We are all human. If I was mistaken or completely misunderstood, fine, I can admit that.

What I will not condone is someone insulting me simply because I have an alternating viewpoint.

If you have a difference of opinion with me, I ask that you state your opinions openly and respectfully. I am grateful to those who have done so to this point, but to anon readers I should not have to tell you how to behave, but clearly it has come to that. This is your one and only warning to anyone who is thinking of acting holier-than-thou and posting rude remarks in the review section. If this becomes a regular thing, I will have to consider discontinuing the story on this site. If it goes beyond that, I will remove this story from the site entirely.

Thank you all for your time.
