Chapter 34:

After the meeting, Ro'tak was talking with Sa'har. "Sa'har, I will be leaving for the battle, take care of your mother.". Sa'har then asked: "Are you going to marry my mother?". Ro'tak chuckled. The boy was smart. "I intend to, do you have any objections?". Sa'har shook his head. "No.".

Jack had his last armour on, he looked himself in the mirror, imagine, two years ago, he was a general who was picking up a lot of weight, now… he has the body of a mid thirties guy who spends hours either in the gym or doing gymnastics. He sighs, if he is gonna fight in this last battle, he'll go down swinging.

He heard someone breathing behind him, it was Teal'c. "O'Neill, I wish to fight by your side in this battle.". Jack looks at his Jaffa friend. "Alright, but… let me ask you something, if I wasn't a host, will you still see me as the same?". Teal'c understood the meaning. "O'Neill, you are the most courageous man I know. You willing to remain host to Ares, proves that.". Jack, satisfied with the answer said: "Thanks Teal'c, I need that.". He places the helmet on and Ares spoke. "Let's end this war.".

With the ships being loaded up, Jack walked up to the council. "Councillors, if I or Ares come back, you shall continue with our plans on building the new civilization. Am I understood?". The councillors nods at him. He then turned to Sam, who was in her full gear and P-90 in hand. Jack frowned: "Are you sure about this?". Sam then racked the gun. "I am not letting you boys have all the fun.".

Jack allowed his eyes to wonder over her, he sure loves to see her in gear. One thing of women he absolutely loved. They load-up was complete as he and Sam used the rings to get themselves on-board. They were now in the bridge. Jack took his spot as Sam stood beside him. Then he heard a loud bang sound like someone knocked something over. Jack turned around to find Daniel standing there. "Daniel!? How did you get in here?!".

Daniel then said: "I snuck on-board. Teal'c and Sam went, so I thought I should tag along.". Jack then said: "Daniel, I left you behind for a reason! Someone needs to lead the empire if I don't make it back!". Daniel then huffed. "Yeah, like I'll do that.". Jack groans, he never wins when it comes to arguing with Daniel, or Sam for that matter, Teal'c, well, he doesn't object that often. "Take us out." Ares said as he slipped up in order to get Jack to calm down. The Jaffa obeyed as they entered hyperspace. During the wait, Jack and Ro'tak were discussing their strategy for the attack.

"According to our spy, the meeting will be held at this space station. (The plan was demonstrated on a holographic map.) The security will be uptight, so we attack from the docking clamps, teams 2 and 3 will go from there and take out the guards, teams 1, 4 and 5 will then escort SG-1 to the system lords, we go from there, I'll deal with the system lords, those who won't join our cause, dies by my hand, the Jaffa shall have no choice but to turn to leadership, Ro'tak and Teal'c, I trust that duty to you, once that has been dealt with, we destroy the station, with only one Goa'uld System Lord, me. After that, the war is over, we send messages to all the planets the Goa'uld controlled, to inform of their freedom, some will resist the change, but they will sooner or later come to their senses.".

Teal'c nods at his friend. "Your plan is exceptional O'Neill. Who is this spy?". Jack smirked. "If I told you, he wouldn't be much of a spy then, won't he?". Catching the joke, Teal'c laughed. "Indeed.". The ship was still in hyperspace. Jack sat down on the commander's chair, he was bored, Sam was busy, one of the young Jaffa technicians had trouble boosting more power through the engines. So, he was left on the bridge. Ro'tak and Teal'c were present. So, he just said: "Teal'c, take the bridge.". Teal'c bowed his head and sat down in the chair.

Jack walked up through the corridor, hands in his pocket, he was whistling when Ares then made a hum sound in the back on Jack's skull, it made a pretty good beat. He kept walking until he bumped into Daniel. "Danny-boy, what are you doing wandering around?" he asked. Daniel then said: "Sorry, I was actually looking for the facilities, any idea where I can find it?". Jack pointed to his left. "Down there, second door on the left.".

Daniel nods as he scurried off to the bathroom. Jack kept walking until he got to a window, he stared off into the vast emptiness that was clouded by the fluctuations of hyperspace. He sighed. "Still no candidates?" he asked his symbiote buddy. Ares then said: "There's one, but you won't like him.". Jack then said: "Who?". Ares then said: "That jackass who calls himself For'tho.". Jack then said: "Hell no! I ain't leaving you with him!".

Ares then said: "Maybe the Tok'ra have a host?". Jack then said: "Well, I don't trust them very well, but we'll give it a shot.". He kept walking until the ship rocked. They were out of hyperspace. Indicating one thing…

… The last stand.
