Chapter 41:
As Mark was getting to know Jack a bit more, Sam was helping with the Stargate, apparently, they thought it was a clever idea to form their own SGC, which Sam had no offense to, she thought it was a great idea. So she was currently working out the bugs in the computer program that she help create.
At that very moment, the gate started dialling, a Tok'ra IDC was picked up and the gate defences was dropped. Jacob was the one to walk through. Kas'le then bowed slightly. "Welcome Jacob Carter, we weren't informed of your arrival.". Jacob then said: "Consider it a surprise visit for my daughter, I came to help her with wedding plans.". Kas'le nods. "I understand.".
Jacob was now walking to the few rooms he knew Sam will be at. As he opened the room that led to the makeshift lab Jack set up for her, she was laughing at one of MARK'S jokes! Mark chuckled himself until he saw his dad. "Dad!? What're you doing here?". Jacob self said: "I could ask you the same thing.". Sam then jumped up and said: "Dad, I brought him here. It's okay. We got clearance from the higher ups.". Jacob then decided to joke around a little. "One of the perks of being engaged to an emperor?". Jack snorted: "Something like that.".
Around an hour, Jacob was explaining on how he got involved with the Tok'ra and how they cured his cancer. Mark was pretty shocked about Selmak, but he was pretty sure he'll get use to him, atleast Selmak has a sense of humour he can relate to.
Just then, the doors to the room opened and Teal'c came in. "O'Neill, a tropical storm has been spotted. I suggest we suspend all gate travel.". Jack then let Ares decide. "Do it.".
The storm was upon them, all Jaffa were indoors. In the small room inside the palace, the four of them were sitting and waiting for the storm to pass. Mark then turned to his sister. "So, out of curiosity, why him?". Sam gave a blank stare. "Jack is not your every day man. He was former black ops.". Mark didn't know that. "Holy shit.".
Sam decided to tell more. "And on one of my first missions, I got infected with a virus, it made me act out of the ordinary. In the end, it caused me to try and seduce him." She waited for her brother to respond. "How did that go?". She then said: "It didn't work, he didn't make a move, one of the things I found, irresistible about him.". Mark then asked: "What else?". She leans back. "When ever I had a problem, he would listen, even if didn't understand heads or tails of it. He listens. And he is super attractive. You should seen me at our first encounter. I was trying to impress him without me even knowing it.".
"Yeah, I still don't know how you did that." Jack said from across the room. Jacob laughed. "I gotta admit Sam, it took me a while to like this guy.". Mark then asked: "How did you two get together?". Sam then told him the story of how Jack fought Anubis. And how she kissed him out of the blue.
When the storm did pass, they went outside. Jack breathed in the air and said: "I hate tropical storms.". Sam wrapped her arms around him. "Don't worry, in two weeks, we will be married.". Jack smiled. "I can't wait.".
2 Weeks later:
It was the big day. Jack was in a room in front of a mirror, for some reason, Sam wanted him to wear his Air Force dress blues. He understood why, it was the clothing she first saw him in, and after the wedding, she wanted to dress him out of it. The thought of it was good enough to make him nearly lose it. Ares chuckled deep in the back of Jack's mind. "You don't look too bad.". Jack shrugged. "Yeah, I don't. I kinda missed this uncomfortable thing.". Ares knew the feeling. "I am sorry we couldn't find a host for you O'Neill.".
Jack mentally wanted to slap Ares on the back of the head, if there is one. "Nonsense. Besides, I had enough of the Stargate, this is my life. Plus, where will you find a host as good looking as me?". Ares then mentally face-palmed himself. "Well, I could always settle for a chick.". Jack rolled his eyes. "Who will take you serious then?". Ares was silent for a second. "Good point.".
Jack left the room and was waiting on the isle. Daniel was his best man, while Teal'c stood next to Daniel. Daniel then said: "You, know if she doesn't show up, they'll think we are… you know.". Jack then said: "Don't jinx it.".
And down the isle, came Sam, with her father. Jack was mesmerized by her. The dress was as white as snow, it fitted her curves perfectly. This was surely a dream come true. As she stood next to him, President Hayes was chosen to officiate this wedding.
"We are gathered here today, to celebrate the marriage of Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter. Shall the rings be exchanged.". Skaara then handed out the rings. Sam's ring was rose gold like her engagement ring, with three tiny sapphire stones placed along the rim of the ring. Jack's ring was a regular golden ring. Hayes then started: "Jack O'Neill, do you promise, to love and cherish Samantha for all eternity, to always be there for her. And take her as your lovely wedded wife?". Jack smiled. "Always.".
Hayes then turned to Sam: "And do you, promise to love and cherish Jack for all eternity, to always be there for him. And take him as your lovely wedded husband?". Sam smiled the biggest and most beautiful smile ever. "I do.". Hayes then shuts the bible in his hand shut. "Then by the power invested in me, I declare you, husband and wife.". He then leans over to Jack. "You better kiss her before she gets cold feet.".
Jack kissed her gently, but Sam pulled him down to her. The crowd applauded. Daniel then turned to Teal'c. "Are you crying?". Teal'c wiped the tears away with a sniff along with it. "Indeed. I do love a happy ending.". Daniel pats his friend on the shoulder. "So do I.".
