Rio is Blue Studios Property

Hey EveryFan! (Hope it'll be okay to use that). How are you all doing? Good? Great! Because now I have a new chapter to share. Ch41 of "Rio: A New Kind of Story" with a new kind of chapter, haha. Oi, it's not just new. It's actually something I'm using to make an announcement. Heck, it's…(brace yourself for this one)…going to be the final chapter because…I got my MISSION CALL! Whoo! I was able to finally receive my calling and have been assigned as a local service missionary.

Which means I'll be doing services in my local community for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

However, even though I'll be staying at my home, that doesn't mean I'll be continuing my work online as T8ECR34T0R. It's going to start around Dec 8, so I have about two weeks until I'm done publishing or reading anything that is on (consider the following): FanFiction, FictionPress, Wattpad, DeviantART, and more. So assuming I'll publish my farewell post on Dec 7, the author that I am, will be taking a two-year-long break, and so will every character in my stories. But don't worry. There's no reason for either of us to shed tears because this gives me enough time to post a few more chapters. For this week, I was planning on posting this announcement and another Birth-Month chapter on "C's Adventures", but I think you guys will want to read this one more. Plus I can still make that on my Farewell post, which will be named: "So Long, C." Until then, just know that this will be the final chapter for NKS until Dec 2021, and it makes me want to ask all of you this question:

"Between this chapter and my farewell post, what new chapters of my other stories do you want me to post?"

So far, I'm going to make an announcement post (in story format) on FictionPress and Wattpad, and post something else after. Then when "So Long C" comes, I'll post it here and on FictionPress too. Which will hopefully be okay and not against the rules. If you guys want me to continue "Best Friends Ever" or anything else then, while I can't make any promises, I can make that work. However, like this, Restart Forever won't continue until I return. But I hope you enjoy what's still here. Including this new chapter. This one takes place before Blu wrote that journal in July. It is February 2009, one week after Valentine's Day.

Please leave a comment, follow me on Twitter, and enjoy!

CHAPTER FORTY ONE: A NEW KIND OF ENGAGEMENT

Another day, another adventure for a group of samba-loving animals in Rio. The sun was bright and high up in the sky as always, and in the sky was also one female toucan and a male blue macaw, in her talons. Blu and Eva were flying together to see the view of the city, and so far it looked great to them as always.

"Whoa." Blu said excitedly. "Haha. Thanks for agreeing to carry me, Eva."

The toucan replied to her friend, "No problem, Blu. Though, are you sure you want me to do this for ya?"

"Yes. Again, I still can't fly very high. So I'm always gonna need help when I want to do this."

"That I know, and I'm always glad to help you out, Blu, but what makes me worried is the fact that you usually do this with Jewel. It gives me the worried thought that one might see us and assume we're seeing each other behind her back and Rafi's."

"What?" Blu chuckled a little. "That's ridiculous. If there's one thing we know very well about Jewel and Rafi is that they would never think about getting jealous. They care about us too much to think that."

"If you say so. But that doesn't stop me from worrying."

Then an idea came to Blu's head. "Also…who do you think would be better at being less jealous than the other?"

"Well Rafi, of course."

Blu pretended to gasp, then Eva asked, "What?"

"You grew up with Jewel, to this day, she is still like your sister, and you've known her longer, yet you think she would break easier than Rafael?"

"No offense to her, but yes. Because as far as any of us have remembered, Rafi has always been the voice of reason. Whenever you and me, or any of us would have an argument, he'd help us settle it. Whenever he would notice me just talking to someone, he would never eavesdrop, but talk it over with me later. Heck, you should have seen how mature he was every time mi familia or your maes (parents) argued."

"Hm. That I don't doubt. But what I do doubt is the idea of my sweetheart honestly giving into jealousy. She's too smart and caring to think that way."

"Oh yeah? Well…maybe there's no good way of proving it. So how about we agree to disagree, huh?"

"Sure. Each of us has a different opinion on things. And as Rafael would probably say, 'Being different is what makes us such good friends.'"

"Thanks." Eva smiled. "I think you took the words out of both our beaks, haha."

"Yeah." Blu chuckled. Then spotted the animal hospital from the jungle side. "Hey, do you wanna have lunch in the hospital? Linda and Tulio might be there."

"Sure. I haven't seen them or even Andrea and John in a while."

"Great."

The friends smiled and glided to the building, and as they were close, Eva let go of Blu and he was able to glide too. They both made a perfect landing near an open window, and saw the inside of one of their favorite places. Things were quiet but as bright as always, seeing doctors work and more birds being taken care of. So the two flew across the room, trying not to get in anyone's way before reaching the check-up room and saw two of their human friends, Andrea Shy and her husband John Cord. Who were carefully adding band-aids to baby birds and massaging them too.

Andrea smiled like she always did, taking care of poor animals, and John just loved seeing his wife smile. So they continued their job before Andrea looked from the corner of her eye and saw them land.

She gasped in happiness, "Oh my goodness, Blu? Eva?"

The two nodded to her.

"Hello, little ones." Then she petted them. "Aw, I haven't seen you guys in awhile. How are you?"

"Hey." John smiled at them too and gently petted Blu. "Looks like some friends of ours couldn't help but return to us. And who could blame them?"

Blu rolled his eyes before grabbing a pencil and paper, then wrote, We are doing good. How about you guys? And where is Linda and Tuilio?

Andrea replied, "We're doing fine. It's still been a joy for us here ever since we moved to Rio. As for Linda and Tulio…well…"

John, "I'm afraid they aren't here at the moment."

"They…well, one of them hasn't really been here since Valentine's Day."

Blu continued writing, Why? Are they okay?

"Well, yes." Said John. "But not really in the way you're hoping for."

Andrea, "Guys, how about I take you to Tulio? John, do you think you can take care of the babies?"

"Eeyup."

As John did what she asked, Andrea carefully carried Blu and Eva by her hands and lead them to Tulio's office. She put Eva on her shoulder and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Said Tulio behind it, who did not sound too great from his voice.

Then Andrea opened the door, and the birds were able to see the dark room. There was only one lamp on, a doctor sitting in his chair, who looked like severely exhausted, and multiple cans of root beer soda were piled together on his desk. Andrea tried to smile, acting like nothing was wrong before hearing, "Hi Andrea. What's going on?" Said the doctor, who was Tulio Monteiro.

"Oh, everything's fine, Tulio. Everybody still working hard as always. Plus, we have a couple guests here with us."

"Huh?" Tulio looked up and saw his friends. Making him smile after so long, "Ah, Blu. Eva. Wow." He reached his hands out and the birds gladly came to him. "Hi guys. Oh, I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?"

Blu went to his friend's desk and continued writing on the paper he had on his talons. He wrote, We are doing great today. Eva and I were hanging out together and thought it would be great to have lunch with you guys. We haven't hang out with each other for almost a month.

"A month?" Tulio questioned. "Has it really been a month? Hm. Well, if you want to have lunch then I suppose Andrea and John deserve a break."

"Oh thank you, Tulio. But what about you? Don't you want to have lunch with us?"

"No thanks. I…I want to be alone right now."

"Oh. Well…okay. Are you at least feeling better though?"

"Uh, maybe a little. But it's nothing to worry about. You guys just go have fun."

"Okay then." Andrea felt sorry for her young friend, and carried her other friends out of the office, walking to the counter near the entrance doors. Andrea could see the confused look on their faces, and wanted to explain to them, "I guess you were wondering what that was all about." They nodded to her. "Oi. Then let me explain. It happened one week ago, during Valentine's Day."

It was a very special day at that time, for every couple in Rio. Including Linda and Tulio. As we all know, they've been dating since Linda moved to Rio and opened her book shop. Since then, they have been the cutest (human) couple I've seen in this city, and then came last week when they each decided to take the biggest step in their relationship. Marriage. Linda and Tulio were each planning their own wedding proposal, and they wanted it to be special. So when Linda told me and the girls about it, we wanted to help set up a party. But unbeknownst to us, Tulio told John and the boys, and they did the same thing. We each planned separate parties, and we made a promise to Linda that we wouldn't say a word about it. And I guess Tulio made John and the others do the same. So each side planning a different party ended becoming…as Bell would say, 'a lame disaster.' Each man and woman had to spend a lot for the decorations, food, invites, and we had trouble trying to create a scavenger hunt for Tulio. Plus, it was raining that night.

So, after finally setting up everything, we were expecting some of the boys to come after being able to tell them, and for Tulio to come with the cards we made for the scavenger hunt. But the hours passed, and he never showed up. Then Linda insisted on going out to find Tulio…only to see that the rain was more fierce than we thought, and when she came back…poor Linda was crying. She was all wet, her glasses got ruined, and she claimed to have seen Tulio outside, proposing to someone else. When she told us that, we all became surprised, and even though she said she didn't want to believe it, she just felt too bad to talk about it. So I got out and went to Tulio's. Only to see his party, and we were able to explain what happened. He looked about as terrible as she did, and even though I convinced them to call each other…I don't know if it ended well. I don't know what they said, but it makes me think that they broke up. Tulio never seems to smile too much anymore, and hasn't said anything regarding it. And I haven't seen and spoken with Linda since that night.

As Andrea finished telling the story, the birds had very sad looks on their faces. They understood what was going on now, and it reminded of what they talked about earlier, realizing that if their lovebirds wouldn't crack under the pressure of jealousy, there are some people that would.

A few hours later, after Blu and Eva had lunch with their friends, they each decided to split up and meet back with their lovebirds. Blu made it back to his shared nest with Jewel, the same one that they've shared since they were young, and Eva returned to the one she shared with Rafael since they married. Each bird was able to see the bird that they loved, and were happy to see them doing their own thing.

Jewel was planting her own brazil-nut garden around the nest and the tree that was always behind it. Seeing her work and smile like the way she did made Blu's heart become filled with bliss.

Rafael was watching the new eggs in their nest, and whistling some soothing music that made Eva be filled with bliss too. So she approached him with a smile, and Blu tried doing the same.

Jewel saw Blu coming and gleefully said, "Oh, hi Blu." Then she hugged him. "How are you doing?"

"Oh. I'm good. I'm sorry I didn't say much to you before leaving. I was actually hanging out with Eva and-"

"No, no, it's okay. Anything you want to do is fine with me. Just so you long as you still keep me in the loop."

"Okay. Thanks."

"So how is Eva?"

"She's doing great. We were hanging out, just looking at the city together. Then we came to the hospital to have lunch with our friends."

"Oh. Linda and Tulio? Andrea and John? Yeah, we haven't seen them in a while. How are they?"

"Yeah well, Andrea and John are okay. We haven't seen Linda, but as for Tulio…he doesn't look good."

"What do you mean?"

"It's regarding to this." As he was about to explain, Eva was doing the same with Rafael. She said to him, "If you ever saw me just hanging out with another boy, you wouldn't assuming I was ever cheating on you, right? Because I know you to be better than that."

Rafi replied, "What? No, of course not. I would never jump to conclusions and think you're seeing someone behind my back. Let alone me seeing someone behind yours."

"Glad to hear that, and right now I imagine Blu is asking the same thing to Jewel. However, me and Blu discovered that not every pair is like that. Because Linda and Tulio went through a misunderstanding themselves last week."

Rafi, "Oh dear. Are our amigos okay?"

"I don't know. You see what happened was…"

As Eva explained to Rafael, and Blu to Jewel, the two had the same look that their lovebirds had on their faces earlier. All four of them felt total sympathy and didn't know what to think. As Blu finished, Jewel asked, "So did they really break up?"

"Even Andrea doesn't know. They both tried setting up a party to make their proposals perfect, but because of the lack of communication and their proper planning, things just didn't look good. So I'm only hoping that they decided to at least take some time apart until the stress was gone."

"But didn't you say that was a week ago?"

Rafi asked Eva, "Is there anything we can do?"

Eva, "Again, I don't know. Oi, today Blu and I reminded each other how you and Jewel would always be loyal and rational to us as the other way around. But seeing how Linda and Tulio had a hard time with their plans, it makes me feel sad."

"Hm. After hearing this, I think I am too. But, if there's one thing I know about Linda and Tulio is that they're two of the smartest humans we know. So they'll think things through. All it takes is just having to talk to each other."

"You're right, Rafi. Hm." Eva smiled dearly at her husband. "You know something else, my juicy papaya?"

"What?" Rafael smiled back.

"There was this one point when I told Blu that for so long, you've always been the voice of reason. And look at you right now. You're still like that. And that's what I love about you." Eva quickly kissed Rafi's beak.

"Aw, I love you too, my little mango."

They kissed, and went back to watching their eggs together.

Eva asked, "So do you think the eggs are okay?"

"I believe so. They still feel very warm, and I can't say they don't love our music."

"I can tell. You're still whistling our favorite song. Can you do it again, please? That is if you haven't done it so much already."

"Hm." He smiled again. "Even if I sang it a thousand times, I would never get tired of doing it for you and our future children."

Eva sighed in bliss, feeling so touched with her husband's compliments, and then Rafael started whistling, "The Girl from Ipanema." Before Eva whistled along with him, which felt like the river of the sweetest honey. Both toucans being in complete harmony.

For Blu and Jewel, they were still talking but didn't show any signs of enthusiasm like their friends did. Blu just brought his head down, feeling terrible since he felt like a special connection with his human companions. Jewel felt the same, but then Jewel brought his head up before asking,

"Hey Blu? Do you remember what happened on the night we admitted our feelings?"

Blu smiled and chuckled, "How could I forget? It was on the night when we first came to the animal hospital. My wing got crushed, Linda saved us, and she and the others aided us before bringing us to that artificial jungle. Where we were safe after comforting each other, and our nests crashed and collided with each other, making us wake up to see that we were almost kissing."

"Then, we talked about how we both blamed ourselves for the incident with your wing. And I asked you, 'Is wrong for one-year-old birds to fall in love'?" Jewel happily sighed. "And we both said, 'I love you'. That was the proudest night of my life."

"Yeah. And what probably made it even better was when I was planning on breaking up with you after Linda left, because I was worried that I kept putting you in so much danger. But you convinced me to think otherwise."

"From there," Jewel held Blu's wings tight, and brought them to her cheek. "we agreed to stay together. Since then, I have been the happiest bird in the world. And I suppose we have our two human friends to thank for that."

"You're right." Blu smiled again. Then suddenly, a light bulb turned on. "In fact, I think it's time we show them that."

"What do you mean?" Jewel asked confused.

"I have a plan. Follow me." He hovered up and Jewel followed him.

A few hours later, when night fell, it was totally dark near the animal hospital, and Andrea was in the parking lot, waiting for someone. Then after waiting patiently, a car came up. It appeared rather quickly before parking, and person driving it turned out to be Linda. She came out of the car and said in a worried tone, "Andrea, I got your message. You said there was an emergency?"

Andrea cleared her throat saying, "Yes. It's something urgent, only you can help."

"Alright. Um, but first, is Tulio here?"

"No. He's at home. But please, follow me, I'm afraid it can't wait."

The two women ran in, seeing that the whole building was dark. Linda didn't know what was going on, but she trusted Andrea. She even hoped that whatever was going on, it would be easy enough for her to handle. Then…she saw it. The two came across another hallway, where the lights were still off, but there was a trail of candles and roses all over the floor.

"What the?" Linda became confused. "Andrea, what's all thi-?" She wanted an explanation, but when she turned, she noticed that her friend was gone, and when she turned back, she saw the one person that she didn't expect to see so soon. "Tulio?" She questioned. Her friend was at the end of the hallway, wearing a tuxedo, had himself clean up, and was carrying a small black case in his hands. Making Linda say in her head, "Oh dear." Feeling worried about last week's event repeating itself.

"Hi Linda." Tulio said, trying to give his best attitude.

Linda felt too scared, so she said, "Hi…Tulio."

"How have you been?"

"Okay. I guess. What about you? You…you look good."

"Thanks, you look great too. Um, as for me, I'm doing good. Especially since I thought this would be the best time to talk."

Linda didn't feel the same way, but took a deep breath and said, "Okay. What do you wanna talk about?"

Tulio put the case back in his pocket and approached Linda, also taking a deep breath before getting ready to talk.

"Linda, I know the last time we talked, you said you only wanted to take some time apart because we knew that the stress of making our proposals perfects were getting to each of us. (Which I know that doesn't mean we broke up). And believe me, I think it did much worse on me. I tried so hard on working to make sure mine would be perfect, that I didn't bother to think if you were planning the same thing, or if making things perfect was even necessary. I felt like a knucklehead that I didn't think I would ever be happy again after our last talk. So I want to apologize, and to let you know for sure that I never proposed to anyone else. For so long, ever since we were kids, you have been the girl I admired. You are beautiful, intelligent, talented, and brave. You are what I find amazing. If I were to marry you, then nothing would make me happier than to be a part of your adventures with you." Tulio finished, feeling like he got his whole word across.

Linda was so touched that she pressed her hands to where her heart was and didn't know what to say back except, "Tulio…I'm the one who's sorry. I was also getting so stressed trying to make things perfect that even I didn't think about anything else. I was being so dumb that I decided to listen to my eyes intead of my head. That and my glasses were pretty messed up from the storm. But when I saw that man proposed to that girl, he looked just like you, and I was too upset to do anything else other than go back home. Even though I kept telling myself that wasn't you, I didn't have the strength to talk to you in person about it. I'm sorry that I distrusted you from that moment, and for not completely talking about with you. But I want you to know, that no matter what happens, I will always love you. You are smart, and also brave, talented, and the best animal-lover I've met, and being with you would always make my life an adventure. I love you, Tulio."

As she finished her statement, she hugged Tulio dearly, knowing that they were both okay, making themselves happy and cry tears of joy. Plus, were unaware that six of their friends were watching from the other end of the hallway.

So then, Tulio gently released the hug and said, "I love you too, Linda. And I want to let you know that from now on, if we do marry, I know that anything we plan, we can always plan together, right?"

"Right."

"In that case, I would be most honored if you would answer this question for me." He knelt down and brought out the case again, then opened it to reveal a real diamond ring. "Linda Gunderson, will you marry me?"

Linda blocked her mouth, knowing that she became stunned with amazement and joy, and gave her boyfriend the answer without hesitating. "YES!" She knelt down and hugged him tight again. Then suddenly, the two heard cheers and saw their friends come out going, "YAH! YAH!" Andrea was carrying Blu and Jewel, and John had Eva and Rafael in his shoulders, with all of them felt happy for their friends. Linda and Tulio just rolled their eyes to them, then stood up and hugged them too, knowing that the next step in their lives was about to start.

Finally, after this (when I come back in 2021), we go to 2010 in this story, where the main adventure finally happens. What do you say to that?

But in the meantime, between today and Dec 8, I have enough time to post and edit more stuff as much as I can. So don't you guys worry yet, and I hope you'll want to read whatever I post next. Not only that, I wonder if you guys are interested in all the same stuff I'm in, which will be coming out with new stories to tell. Like, not just Rise of Skywalker, but also Sonic the Hedgehog (who recently got his brand-new awesome redesign) and My Little Pony: The Movie 2, Spider-Man 3, Godzilla v King Kong, The Minecraft Movie, Onward and Soul, Spies in Disguise, and so much more!

As for anything else…after this chapter, I can imagine one friend is going to say something about Andrea and John. I'd also like to remind everyone that in this story, since Eva grew up with Rafi and their friends, her singing skills became a lot better. Plus, I want to thank Alexriolover95 and CalvinFujii for adding a FAV/FOLLOW to "A Grand Day Out…with the Young Six." Though, I'm afraid that that story will be left with what it has until 2021, which goes for most of my other stories too. But again, I'm not going yet. I still have plenty of time before December 8. Right now what's still in the "Progress" variety is…(this and…)

"C's Adventures", "Life of Love and Pure of Heart", "The Gang Secrets: Heroes Unlimited" (which will be added to DeviantART and Wattpad), "My Little Disney Pony", "FLY Stories", "The Stories of Harry and Annabelle", "Shiny Cady and Little Twily", "Restart Forever", "Freedom Fighters (Scenes)", "The Gang Stories" (on Wattpad), "Happy Fantasy", "Copied Creations" (both on FictionPress), "C's Adventures: The Arsenal Saga", "Carla Bia and Tiago: Best Friends Ever", and "A Grand Day Out…with the Young Six."

(Plus each of them are planned to be copied and pasted to DeviantART and Wattpad once they're all done being edited and appropriated.)

That is all of them so far. Those are the stories I haven't finished yet, and yet I want to thank everybody who has either added a FAV/FOLLOW to each of them or even read them. I appreciate the admiration you guys have shown for my work. So just know that I will continue, and to one of the good friends I've made here, StormKnight089, I would like to apologize again for taking so long to finish reading your chapters. But I'm still progressing.

So until next week or earlier, see ya guys later!
